Plot

The story focuses on the conflicts between the young teachers and the problems that high school students have. Jang Yi San (Yang Dong-Kun) is a timid and incompetent homeroom teacher who has to teach the only daughter of a highly dangerous mob leader, Jae-kon Yu (Park Jun Gyu). Eun Byul (Park Min-Young) is a new student at MyungMoon High with little drive to succeed.

"I am Sam" takes over the KBS2 Mon. & Tues. 21:55 time slot previously occupied by "Conspiracy in the Court" and will be replaced by "Four Gold Chasers" on October 8, 2007.

Kdramalover Mar 30 2026 2:08 am Okay I'm not really a fan of student x teacher especially if the student is minor but i cant deny the chemistry between park min young and yang dong geun. No kissing scene or skinship which is very easy to watch. YDG's character was well portrayed as a timid person who looks like a total push over but still can be lean on. Latter episodes are really tear jerker. SPOILER: IG woojin was the one who broke off the engagement so jaekon no longer pushed it

Park Min Apr 17 2024 9:13 am I didn't expect much from the cast but I've seen a better performance from Yang Dong Geun and Park Min Young from around the same era. Especially Yang Dong Geun, his 2 previous projects prior to this drama "Dr. Gang (2006)" and "Ruler of Your Own World (2002)" brought a better performance from him. They both feel out of place here with a less than average performance and dynamic, let alone the questionable chemistry. I wouldn't label this drama as a romance since it's mostly a mix of drama, slice of life and pseudo-comedy, and the little bit of alleged romance was left to the end. Additionally, the story was barely serviceable with little to no room to move around. The case is even worse with the side characters and plots.

m.z Sep 21 2022 6:40 pm year 2022, i just finish watched this drama. very oldschool drama. remind me of teenager hood. very funny. still cannot move on. i dun know why the mr jang like that. haha. but im not expect at end episode. i thought have kissing scene. but nah... well its very good ending between mr jang n eunbyol.

Arihant Dec 30 2017 6:19 am Surprisingly addictive show as I ended up finishing 16 eps in 2 days!.The story is from a manga and is interesting but Park min young and Yang Dong Geun are awesome as the improbable lead pair.I laughed many times in this show. Also got to see Lee Min Ho in his pre star days.T.O.P has a much larger role here (2nd lead) and he acquits himself well here.

Do give this a chance and watch it in HD.The show is beautifully shot..

ChadeuX Dec 01 2016 2:27 pm So far this is the only korean tv series that makes me laugh my ass off. It's so funny I keep watching this series once in a while. Yang dong geun has the funniest reactions in this series. I always look at his expressions everytime he talks to someone. While Park Min Young here is so cute that I felt so empty after finishing this series. I like her role by acting cute and dress differently on different occasions. 10/10 would watch again and again. Recommended for those people who wants to laugh on every episode.

kari Apr 30 2015 5:55 pm I watched this drama just for Lee Minho, but too bad there wasn't much scenes of him :( i know he was not famous & known at that time, but his acting is better than TOP, he isn't even on the poster pic :( but happy that Lee Minho did BOF that launched him to stardom, now im laughing on the people who did this drama, coz they underestimated him & gave him small scenes, Lee Minho is DA BEST now :D

jonah May 11 2014 9:03 pm I watched this series bcuz I'm curious of Lee Min-ho's role. The story is quite okay, I enjoy watching student's high school life but this ones different. I got goosebumps while watching sweet scenes bet. the teacher & student. It's not that I'm against them, its just that the teacher has no appeal. He even looks like retarded & numb. How could they chose that actor as the lead and paired up w/ Park min-young? It's disgusting. This series could be much better if they chose other actor, older one is fine but they should find someone that has 'pleasing personality', not necessarily good looking. I regret that I watched this tv series.

Clakdale44 Dec 14 2013 5:04 pm It was an ok drama for me, specially those scenes when yoo eun's father pretends to be Yi-San's dad and kim woo as his brother... It was very funny drama but i felt male lead a little weak for such task.. I don't know if its because of the make up. I didn't felt much of a chemistry between the two leads (yoo eun and Yi-San). They were both uncompatible with each other. I will give it 5/10(for great funny moments)
