Ayumi Nasuda (Masaki Okada) is 33-years-old and an excellent nurse. He worked as a nurse practitioner in the United States. He wanted to stay in the U.S., but he had to return to Japan, where the status of the nurse is to just follow doctors' orders.
Ayumi Nasuda begins to work at a general hospital in Japan. He wants to save his patients so badly. For that, he is incredibly candid with doctors and this leads to confrontations with doctors. Ayumi Nasuda then meets Shizuka Kuki (Kiichi Nakai), who works at the same hospital. Shizuka Kuki is a 60-year-old nurse and quite mysterious. He does have overwhelming skills as a nurse and places a priority on patients getting well. Shizuka Kuki gets along with doctors, but when it comes to patients he does not hesitate to make biting remarks. He also has a secret.
