Kei Nagai (Takeru Satoh) dies in a car accident, but his body is recovered and he is revived. From the accident, Kei learns that he is a type of immortal known as Ajin (demi-human). Ajin are considered dangerous by humans. Kei as an Ajin is found by the government and sent to a research facility. There, he is held in custody and undergoes painful experiments.

Sato is also an Ajin and a terrorist. He is the only one to extend a helping hand to Kei, but Kei can't take part in Sato's plans to commit mass murders against humans.

Nasi Nov 21 2020 9:50 am I just finished watching the live action. Can I say this is the best live action ever? Well I've only read three volumes of the manga and I've watched the first season of the anime though. I really like the live action. Good casting, good acting, good CGI, and good backsound. The background sound makes me feel the scene, I mean like it's thrilling. Aaaaa I wish there's Part 2 of the live action! Anyway. love you Takeru Satoh ehehehe

Ash(nickname) Jan 21 2020 8:38 am I'm a big fan of anime live-action adaptations....especially if its great..like Bleach,Tokyo Ghoul,Alita:Battle Angel,Attack on Titan especially this movie adaptation of Ajin:Demi-Human!!!.....That's all and the actors did their best for this film..hopefully to see part 2 or sequel of the movie in the future!..

It fitted him, even when sato supposedly looked like an old man but the feeling of this Sato just fitted him so much. I laugh because I am amazed that it actually executed right even when you don't think that Go Agano look like Sato.

I actually love takeru satoh but then the actor who acts as sato (gou ayano) make me swerve on his lane.in the manga sato looks like an ordinary ex military old man but in this live action he is so damn cool! I bet you will fall in love with him

I have been a fan of Takeru Satoh for a long time and as usual the way he acts doesn't dissapoint me. The action scenes on this live action is so so good can;t get enough of it. Takeru is just so cool. Also with Gou Ayano, I first saw him in the TV series Kounodori and I fell in love with him there. Seeing his role is Ajin displayed a different part of him in a good way. The action scenes between the cast was superb. The ending was unexpected! Made me wish for a part 2. Highly recommended :)

Honestly I like Sato's Character, he is a bit crazy but hot in the same time, so I found another talented Japanese actor and will certainly watch his other movie..I'm looking forward to watch Inu Yashiki and Punk Samurai Slash down, ganbatte Takeru kun and Ayano san

baba Apr 20 2018 8:40 pm hands down to Ayano Gou. Equally as great as Satou Takeru if not better. If you look at all the roles that Ayano Gou's done, it's sometimes hard to recognize him as the same actor. Ayano's role in this movie just blew me away because I've read the manga and his take on the character was spot on - plus he's a total badass!

and he yeah black memory by the oral cigarettes close the movie really well

Daylight Mar 21 2018 3:31 am Not sure how other people liked this movie but I just finished it last night and it was SO GOOD. Apparently there's a manga version of this movie but I've never read it. It's so good though. Highly recommend. Can't stop thinking about it because the way the characters and plot is written is pure genius. Especially the character Sato. That f*cker just wouldn't die but his character was also twistingly hot and attractive. Or maybe the guy who plays him is just hot. Lol. Also, is there supposed to be like a romantic thing going on between Yu Tosaki and Izumi Shimomura? I feel like he likes her but doesn't at the same time...? Like he only needs her to protect him but she protects him because she likes him.. if that makes sense.

Rius Aug 13 2017 5:13 pm They aged up Kei, probably to matched Takeru’s age, and he is a medical intern contrary to his character in the manga and the storyline of the live action will differ in some matters with the original plot. And by the way, I`m reading the manga.

Who would help Kei (played by Takeru) escape from the authorities/government after being revealed as an ajin? He's Kei's best friend.

I'd be very disappointed if there'll be no Kaito in the movie. :(

ManganiMe Jun 14 2017 9:03 am Takeru is too old for Kei. Ayano is too young for Sato. Tetsuji is probably okay as Yu's age is hard to tell, but surely he could be 30+

Not that this matters. If the actors can get the right mood/charisma, age can be overlooked. But Takeru is not convincing as a 17 year old anymore....

Not sure about Takeru as Kei. We shall see.

Great cast and really hoping the story is a little more centered and stronger than the material it is based off. Liked the anime, but it strayed a bit too much.
