Ken Kaneki (Masataka Kubota) is a university student. He is also half-ghoul and half-human. He agonizes over his situation. Trying to avoid other ghouls, he shelters himself at Anteiku Cafe and spends time with Toka Kirishima (Maika Yamamoto). One day, a ghoul, Shu Tsukiyama (Shota Matsuda), appears at Anteiku Cafe and he is called the "Gourmet."

Based on manga series "Tokyo Ghoul" by Sui Ishida (published from September 8, 2011 to July 5, 2018 in weekly Japanese magazine Weekly Young Jump).

filmbeats Aug 03 2019 12:33 pm While I thought the first movie was good, I think the sequel is a pretty big disappointment. It feels smaller in scope and almost seems like they had a smaller budget for SFX. The new actress who plays Touka is the only good thing in my opinion. Tsukiyama starts out pretty intimidating but ends up being a cheesy and stupid villain.

@Ryu Apr 11 2019 6:23 am Ryu, they replaced the actress cause she is involved in a weird religious cult. I also liked her a lot but her life is kinda messed up right now. I'm still excited for the new movie cause I personally found the first one okay. I hope the second one will be good too. They did things different than the anime but it was fine.

rina Feb 13 2019 3:45 pm For everyone who asks about Fumika, I believe she's replaced because she have different agency right now. And it's implied that she is being forced to take on some roles that she dislike when she was in the old agency. So, her role here might be one of the role that she doesn't want to take, and her current agency didn't take it

Haruka Dec 20 2018 11:02 pm I was wondering who will portray the New Touka-chan because the old one slay it! Fumika Shimizu did a great job. I think Maika-chan will be on pressure but I'm sure she will do great also because of I love her eyes. That fierce look of Maika-chan that is her asset.
