Seo Ji-Hwan (Um Tae-Goo) is a former gangster. He quit that life and is now the CEO of a company. He tries to disband gangs and hires gang members, who were released from prison, to help them improve their lives.

Go Eun-Ha (Han Sun-Hwa) runs her own YouTube channel, which is for kids. She is known as Mini Sister. She wants to convey love and happiness to her audience, based on her own childhood memory of a boy in her neighborhood who played with her. The boy was older than her, but he was the only person who played with her. Her YouTube channel isn’t very popular. One day, when she is doing cleaning work as a part-time job, she somehow accidentally hurts Seo Ji-Hwan. She freaks out, but Seo Ji-Hwan seems to know her.

KayKam15 Nov 26 2024 11:02 am First off, trigger warning for sensitive viewers like me: episode 15 has quite a bit of violence and blood, too sudden and unnecessary for a drama like My Sweet Mobster. Okay I Did Not Expect This Drama To Be This Adorable And Enjoyable! Overall, it was a great watch. Highly recommend if you're looking to relax after a long and hectic week!! I went into this drama with not too high expectations but the drama surprised me, pleasantly of course!! I liked: Most of the actors. Most of them have done a great job except a few. Uhm Tae-goo is adorable and intimidating at the same time. That alone says a lot about his acting prowess. Kim Hyun-jin and Moon Ji-un too nailed their roles. Although i'd have loved more of their screentime, their storyline nevertheless was very cute and engrossing. It honestly took my by surprise. The OST is super cute. I also Loved that the show never dragged on at any point (that's how i perceived it hehe). It wrapped up the finale too, in a satisfactory manner. Something that I feel several shows struggle to accomplish. I disliked: Some of the actors really disappointed me, especially in scenes that were intense and emotionally loaded. I felt that the other deerlings at the house needed better storylines and writing.

All Actors did amezing job, you are all amezing and you all portayed your characters to perfection, the way the male lead ,Um Tea Goo keep falling in love with the Female lead every time he look at her is so beautiful. From Actors, writes, photographer all who worked on this ,you did a beautiful job Give us a season 2 where they navigate fatherhood and they truely incounter a beautiful settled life.

His acting is so good and precise. Progressively I like him more and more. He has a charming charisma. I like the Prosecutor Kwon Yool as well. He plays his character well. Everyone plays their character really well. I hope Kim Hyun-Jin will get his chance to be casted as a male lead soon. He has potential.

He has somewhat a "criminal drama character" face. Really not suitable with his character in this drama. Other than that, this drama is perfect.

Looks strong and scary yet innocent and adorable at the same time. Sun Hwa’s bubbly personality is infectious. Il Young-Mi Ho forever after love story was such a gem! Watching the gangster boys were also a treat. Even Go Yang Hee who you wanted to hate was so cute in his evil ways. Overall a joy to watch!

I had a good laugh because some of the scenes are hilarious and giving me second hand embarrassment. The casting was beyond perfect, especially uhm tae goo. The boy is added to my list, to the point that i always watched tiktok edits of him before going to bed. Anyways, I rate the drama 9/10

The “Gangster turned Romeo” storyline was catching, excellent acting by all cast members (especially the three leads), humour that made me laugh out loud and episodes that were always entertaining! It doesn’t hurt that Um Tae-Goo has a sexy, yet shy voice. I will miss this show as it was so good!!

Uhm tae go is a perfect actor as seo ji hwan, who ever cast him deserve a raise omg! Han sun hwa and uhm tae go chemistry go through the roof, i always smiling when i saw their scene. All the actor, the acting is top notch. My fav thirsty deer are jae so and man ho, i cant stop laughing when i watch them. All the cast is perfectly casted including seo tae pyung, sel ji hwan dad. He has a really intimidated vibe and rough gangster look that would scared the shit out of me just by looking at him. I wish he had more screentime with seo ji hwan.

The story is very good, omg i cant express how i love this drama. Seo ji hwan really set the bar high, i thought he was just an ordinary gangster, and ending with him killing his dad, but omg i didnt see it coming that he would sacrifice himself to protect his abusive dad. And i think his dad is somehow touch by his action, i think his dad already regret what he has done to ji hwan. I really wish they would reconnect and fix their relation, i feel like both seo ji hwan and his dad still cared about each other.

I wish the proposal is more romantic and surprising since he really thought a lot about it, but instead it just very sincere proposal. I just wish there would be some element of surprise in the proposal.

Uhm tae goo is so good in this drama, he should do more romcom. And he is so handsome and his voice omg, the perfect gangster cast ever. I know there wont be season 2 but somehow i just wanna see them again thirsty deer and seo ji hwan and eun ha.

Thank you for bringing this drama. 10/10 i just wish it would be longer since its so damn good. I could watch 40 episodes of this drama!

April Jul 28 2024 1:31 pm For the people wondering,The Ratings are actually pretty decent for it's slot. JTBC is a cable channel, meaning you have to literally pay before watching it. But yea, we're expecting higher ratings and we have JTBC to blame.

It's precedent drama, Frankly Speaking (Kang Hannah, Go Kyungpyo) had an average of 1.444% ratings, despite it's availability on Netflix. People note that the plot is not that compelling. While Queen of Divorce (Lee Jiah & Kang Kiyoung) & Destined with you (Rowoon & Joboah) have a better ratings, because the plots were good, and it's also in Netflix.

On the other hand, My Sweet Mobster is only in Viki. And bet, they are number 1 in Viki. Uhm Taegoo & Han Sunhwa are no.1 & 3 respectively on Actor's Brand Reputation. It Has A Lot Of Potential but maybe, because they consider the pair less popular than the other drama cast, they didn't take the risk. Very wrong move, JTBC. Imagine the power if it's on Netflix.

Had to check profile of Um Tae-Goo because his acting is great in this drama. He is seen more in movies than drama. And the more you look at him you realize he is handsome, too. He really suits his role in this drama. Hope the last few episodes will rate higher. Hope more Koreans will watch this. Fighting!

Whether he is the main lead or just a cameo role, he always stands out because of his versatile & impactful performance. I really hope he'll get more & different projects. My wish now is for him to be in a drama with Shim Eun Kyung. His character similar with that of Night in Paradise with the kindness of Seo Ji Hwan & Shim Eun Kyung's character similar to her character in Money Game. With their impeccable acting, can't imagine the angst & intensity..

The storyline in Kdrama normally gets bored after main leads are falling in love. But this one is not. And rarely Kwon Yul is not a bad person here. If you are hesitate to watch this drama, don't read bad comments and bad reviews and just watch it now. You won't regret it. And you won't be able to stop watching it. Oh my God, they are so cute.

Lowkey this has been one of those RomCom kdramas that has very good story and share of focus to the other supporting roles. I really hope all the actors/actress here got their big break soon as I will be following that.

Also, Uhm Tae Goo should continue doing romcom too like Jang Hyuk and Nam Goong Min as he is a bit younger than those hyungnims which are very flexible actors.

I hope your ratings will still go up and please do not mess the ending!

Best girl Miho Jul 17 2024 9:24 pm I love Miho for being so straight forward and vulnerable with Il Young. It’s so refreshing to see her admit that while she had feelings for him and doesn’t regret what she did, she’s not going to chase after someone who doesn’t want her. She knows her self worth and I feel like with her choosing to distance herself from him, she knows she’ll get over him with time. At first I had suspected she was playing hard to get, but it seems like she had every intention of moving on. I love a woman who values herself and her time. That being said, I do enjoy that fact that this all worked in her favor and I can’t wait to see our second couple flourish

Kdrama's gurll Jul 15 2024 4:04 am Not gonna lie, this is the only drama I laughed from beginning to end, and the chemistry between the main couple is sooooo good, and when I finish watching till ep 10, I thought there is only till ep 10, then when I went Instagram I saw a lot of edits of this drama and when I enter the comment section, some girl just typed there is 16 ep, then I entered her comment section, some r saying there is only 12 ep and some r saying 14, I'm now totally confused, but I was happy when I came to know there is more ep, literally I can't stop watching, it's a good drama, I recommend u this drama to u, and also the main lead um tae-goo is underrated so I hope he is gonna be soo famous after this drama, Btw his deep voice...... Omy goshhhhhhhh, this drama is def worth watching!!

I was at first hesitant to watch it as both lead actors were not my favorite, but I have seen Um Tae-Goo on other dramas and thought wow he has a deep voice and charisma about him, so I gave this drama a shot. OMG! best decision I made in a long time!! as much of how I love my lovely runner or queen of tears etc this is the first drama in a VERY long time that I keep smiling from beginning to end with watching every episode. it's so beautifully scripted and so lighthearted to where this will definitely be one of my favorite dramas. Um Tae-Goo is so underrated so I hope he will explode as he is very talented. this drama is def worth watching!

Before watching here, one of my favorite kdrama actors was Jang Hyuk and Nam Koong Min, now I may have to add Um Tae-Goo to that list. He's an underrated actor imo but still young so I hope he will still do some romcom kdramas in the future!

It's my first time to see him but goodness, how I love him! His chemistry with Han Sun-Hwa is so good. Only thing I hate is Sun-hwa's hair here. She is so beautiful but her beauty's ruined because of her hideous do.

This drama point is so old it has whiskers and walks with a cane. What's next? The old 10 foot apart stare into each other's eyes on a bridge? Sheesh, you have an opportunity for a break out hit, don't be lazy or waste the characters on 15 year old plot points. Fighting!
