A serial killer with an enhanced hearing ability appears. The serial killer murders people using his enhanced ability. Because of this, Kang Kwon-Joo (Lee Ha-Na), who also has an enhanced hearing ability, is driven into a corner. Kang Kwon-Joo cooperates with Detective Derek Cho (Song Seung-Heon) to catch the serial killer. Derek Cho is a person of principal, who doesn’t allow mistakes. He is a team leader from the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department). His LAPD team dealt with criminal gangs.

Meanwhile Kang Kwon-Joo has suffered from PTSD since the death of Do Kang-Woo, but she still carries out her duties as the the leader of the emergency 112 call center.

Erie May 24 2026 10:25 pm One of the worst dramas that should have stopped at season 2. How dumb are the police officers?! They run into dark buildings without protection or weapons to protect themselves. They are so slow to react to everything. Why have they never improved as officers based off previous experiences ( season 3 cos it’s the same core officers) They dragged this “story” on forever when they’ve known who the killer is but couldn’t keep him behind bars. The lead actors are so bad. Just crap actors. she is so limited and is just as gullible and dumb after so many seasons. She’s just not a believable officer in any sense. The less I say about the “American” officer the better. Just awful acting and a mess of a story

Ihsan Hasyim Nov 24 2024 1:47 am The movie “Voice Session 4” is not as successful as voice 2 and 3 where the story looks very forced and there is often a stretching of the story that seems to run out of story material. The cast selection is also not good. The story in session 4 makes the police seem helpless to the criminals, where the criminals can be arrested in a short time but instead there is an unimportant dialog between the police and the criminals so that the criminals can escape and continue to repeat and eventually bore the audience. Kang Seung Yoon did not inhabit his own character, looking stiff and overjoyed to be cast. My suggestion would be to create a more interesting story and not stall too often to complete the duration of the episodes per movie which ultimately makes the movie more boring to watch.

All of script and characters are Special but I think the most important is "cast 's Aura" How can they influence and how much they can do their best for acting and “ who is the best Suit to the Character!!!” (again am not saying season 2/3 actors are not good )but I can't get a feeling of season 1 like there is no salt in curry !! Those Villains still can't pass " Mo Tae Goo" season 1's. I hope Season 5 will be perfect. there are more more suitable casts for Villain role and also supporting role is important too. The characters should be Imprint to Viewers ‘s heart!

cant wait for the next season. i like how it ties to each episode. the ending mindblowing tho. bang jesoo is like a joke to be appear again. idk what kang center thinking on following fabre. so much question for the next season. can they make it faster? its 2 years already tho. i mean please make season 5 happen soon.

nuuna May 18 2022 8:19 am I also like season 4 but I don't have the same hype feelings I felt from the previous 3 season. I still continued to watch and successfully finished it for the reason because it's Kang center aka Lee Hana and the GTT. Also, I love the actor Lee Kyu Hyung who played as the villain DBM. I'm still in pain for the ending of Season 3. I'm still hoping for the comeback of Team Leader Do Kang Woo even though it's impossible but Still I'm hoping. T^T

I like the ending of S4, still gives me the hope to keep on clinging on this series. I'm waiting for S5. I'm just guessing here, making my mind fly and roam my imagination for the next season. Its already clear that on S5 we will be able to know the backstory of Kang center. The real boss or owner of this thing so called Fabre Lab and other things regarding this Fabre. We will go back to the loopholes left behind by season 2 & 3. And because of this, I had imagined that probably Team Leader Do is alive and well. He was collected by the Fabre team, do some experiment on him and because of that he might not be remembering some things. Derek Cho would probably still be there on S5, trying to look for Kang center along with the GTT.

I don't know anymore. I just still want justice for Team Leader Do Kang Woo! If BJS is alive, Revive Team Leader DKW!!!

Goldentime Dec 20 2021 3:02 am Unfortunately, I must part ways with voice if do kang woo really is dead. Its not that I was watching this series for any particular actor. Nor am I being unappreciative of the hard work the cast put in. SSH did his best, especially considering he did most of his own stunts. The problem is that its too painful to watch when the ending of season 3 is still so fresh. And everytime kang centre thought she saw team leader do, it was a stab to the heart for me. I watch shows that are dark but I make sure that when I end the show, I leave it with a smile. I watched season 3 despite knowing the ending because I read how vague it was and how the possibility of do kang woo being alive is still there. But season 4 ended without them hinting at it. From what I understand, season 5 is likely to be the last. I dropped season 4 midway and if season 5 ends without do kang woo being brought back, I'm going to have to skip it too. Its just too painful and I am surprised that the makers don't see it. Why would you kill off a character in a way that makes no sense? He didn't even get an honourable death! I'm sorry but I just can't continue. I was able to watch season 2 after season 1 without any problems because I knew that moo jin hyuk was finally happy and still alive even if he wasn't appearing in the show anymore. But I can't continue knowing do kang woo died the way he did, that bang je soo is alive. That team leader do will never be able to avenge his partner's death.

Fa95 Dec 09 2021 1:16 am Please please makers, hear the pleas of us fans and bring back team leader do! Season 4 just wasn't it....it was so disappointing I had to drop it even though I fully intended to give it a chance because come on, it's voice, it's the same makers that brought us the first 3 seasons. But I was just so disappointed. Jang hyuk and lee jin wook made the characters their own and you couldn't take your eyes off them. Their dynamic with lee hana (especially lee jin wook) was amazing to watch. But with song seong heon I feel nothing. His character brings nothing new, it's not engaging. This season didnt even keep me on the edge like the other 3 with the exception of maybe 1 episode. I just know the writers kept team leader do's death vague on purpose. I thought maybe in season 4 we would see a funeral or kang gwon joo visiting his grave but none of that happened. So I firmly believe his death is being kept vague on purpose. So why not bring him back? Especially since voice got such high ratings with lee jin wook as the main character, why not bring him back? It's not like people have never survived a bullet to the head. We know jang hyuk has refused to come in future seasons because he believes his arc is complete and I agree. Moo jin hyuk's arc is over but what about team leader do? Bang je soo is still alive. It would be so unfair to conclude bang je soo's arc without team leader do so come on writers I know you want him back too that's why you never showed us a death scene! Please bring him back

Marathon24 Dec 07 2021 7:16 pm Season 4 is surprisingly good. At least it has a clear message to stop child abuse and domestic violence, knowing that a traumatic experience in someone's childhood could turn him into a psycho.

Also, I was surprised to see Bang Je Soo came back to life. Didn't he die in the 2nd season? He must've faked his death then. Ahh...I've seen Kwon Yul in Haechi as a righteous officer. Now that he will become a villain again, I must switch my image of him.

Looking forward to Season 5. Song Seung Hon will be good too for the male lead in season 5. But I would love to see Jang Hyuk again. Detective Shim Dae Shik in Season 4 is somehow looks like Jang Hyuk with his long hair and moustache, haha

Verent Oct 27 2021 5:50 pm I really enjoyed "Voice 4." Regardless of what I have heard, it impressed me a tad more than season 3. I probably rate the first and second seasons as the top ones of the series so far. Hope season 5 is well-made, especially with expectations running as high as they are.

I wish OCN would produce this, they are well known for their crime dramas. But the last episode was very good and I knew we would see BJS again. xD Even for a second. But this drama ties the series together so well and I kept paying attention for loopholes (cos sometimes dramas have the tendency to forget to address certain qns viewers have) but I don't see any so far!

Plus I was so surprised with the ending of Voice 4. Vicious organisation phew. It wasn't the end after all. Anticipating Voice 5!

It would great to see more familiar faces return in season 5. Like Kim Woo Seok as Seo Yool who can work together with Kang Seung Yoon's Woo Joo. And of course, Jang Hyuk and Lee Jin Wook (somehow) making appearances would be so awesome.

Each season is different and new members of the team and there is always the strong leader of the emergency call center and i love the way the actress is playing the role . The detectives are brilliant and the new member of the team is Derek Cho . I really hope that he will find and bring back the leader of the emergency call center back to where she belongs . Season 5 is needed indeed . Otherwise its always a question on my mind about the end of the serie and what happen to Kang Kwon-Joo . Each episode is so well played out and the actresses , actors have done a super good job at playing their characters and i have come to love the serie of Voice from day one . Voice season 1 to season 4 is super good and i watch every season over and over again . I the team and Kang Kwon-Jo and Derek Cho . Made my life brighter when i was in the dark many times . Really love them all in this serie and every one of the actors and actresses is special to me . Hope soon we all and i can finally watch the final season of the serie Voice ! Season 5 .

whoeverme1 Aug 08 2021 11:57 pm Watching Voice 4 has made me a deep thinker somehow, especially towards the end of the drama when KKJ has been kinda 'hypnotized' by that particular lady who seemingly play a vital role in KKJ's past. For DBM as the villain, the closure was fairly written i guess.

Would be rooting for season 5 in the near future, surely. My take for next season is for KKJ-in-a-nutshell story. Hopefully Derek Cho character will be there as well in the script, as to unfold quite some unresolved stuff.

Overall, Voice 4 is an enjoyably intriguing drama although there's logical loopholes which I don't think it gives major inconsistency in the storyline anyway. Will keep my finger crossed for Voice 5 until the official news confirming whether its about to happen or not.

no i don't hate this season but i just don't get the point. i like all of character especially the villain cuz i watching him in another drama too and he playing so well but on this drama i thin it's a bit inappropriate if you use multiple personalities on the villain. doesn't match on this series.

And I'm also curious about Fabre Lab, which has been around since Kang Center was a kid. Good job.

Bring Jang Hyuk back and let OCN take the wheel on S5. They make better psychopath characters. Just saying.

it gave me cheep horror movies with clowns vibe which is very hurting the eye and the fact that they changed the production from OCN to TVN proves that OCN is better in making crime , thriller , mystery shows

i won't continue watching unless someone tells me that the vibes will change in the next ep's cuz am a huge fan of this series and i really don't want to hate it from this season

They focused too much on the cases to the point that they didn't give us a chance to connect with the characters.. I wanted to see.more of kang Center and Dereck Cho, wanted to kinda see them getting close but they really never got the chance to bond.. In this whole drama i dont remember seeing Dereck Cho laugh or smile.. He only did that on the last episode.. I really hope on voice 5 they do a better job on character development

Truly this season is absolutely Amazing, I am super glued to this storyline!! I need season 5 asap. I really enjoyed the partnership with Song Seung-Heon and Lee Ha-Na but I also enjoyed the partnership with Jang Hyuk from season 1... so if yall can bring them both together to help Lee Ha-Na this time it would be a really great way end to the series in my opinion because if this season does end up being in America like..... Cempredess Aug 02 2021 10:42 am Not like the OCN's blood and gore that we are expecting but overall good profuction drama nonetheless. Cases are mild (for lack of better term) compared to the 1st to the 3rd season but the message at the end justifies it. I guess each of us has our own expectations and preferences but that does not change the fact that it was also a good show. I'm a fan of this show since the beginning. Whilst Jang Hyuk provides angst as a mad dog and Team Leader Do delivers the job right, Derek Cho shows the humanity, empathy and gentleness that the first two male leads lack. I also see great chemistry and dynamics between Kwon Joo and Derek and yes I am hoping that should there be a season 5 or a two-hour special at least, they would be a potential love interest for each other.

The writer is a genius, can connect stories from previous seasons. I think if there's a season 5 it will be very interesting if it reveals the story behind Kang Center's hearing.

Also I realized that all cases in this season was focus on family violence and family issues. Thankfully the production team inserted a moral message in the ending credits to embrace our family and relatives who have family problems. Good job voice team!!! If there's a season 5, I'll be ready to watch anytime

Season 5 is the real continuation from season 3, in the last season 3 we saw kwon yool and a lady there but not mentioned until the last episode of season 4. Maybe it is also one of the reason why in this season there were too many plot holes because the writer don't want to reveal too much about Kang Center's past. They want to save for season 5.

flop Jul 31 2021 8:27 pm whoever said do kang woo is still alive, no hes already dead. and no, it wasnt bang je soo that shot do teamjang. the weapon that the swat team used was different, not the sniper rifle that was given by that woman to BJS. and you can also see the smoke came out of the rifle that the swat team used to shoot do kang woo. this drama isnt penthouse hahah. i know, a character coming back to live is exciting, but at the same time lame.(but this is just my opinion tho)

jestine29 Jul 28 2021 4:59 am im actually glad they tackled about dissociative disorder coz a lot of those cannot fully understand what this condition.is. It is more than just having multiple persona but at times when a certain persona comes in even the physical aspect of the person changes. And there are still a lot of things about this condition which has not been given so much emphasis or understanding such as how 'spiritual possessions' can actually be dissociation. I usually jsut watch dissociation disorder from American tv series and movies. I believe this as a breakthrough in kdrama in a more serious note. Although Kill me Heal me and Dr. Jekyll have featured this still without the fun and comic relief Voice 4 features us with the perils of living with someone wih dissociation.

Love the subtly-convincing chemistry between LHN and SSH and the fast-paced plot. Would be awesome if they plan to have Voice 5 with the same lead cast. Looking forward to see some more madness from the villain and the closure in the end. Great show

I would want criminals to have some rationality, not this one who is almost a zombie. Too many episodes to see policemen running after a zombie. The characters with multiples personalities are not fun to watch at all.

Why is Jin Seo Yul's character not in Voice S4 anymore? I came across a translated interview with Kim Woo Seok (actor who played JSY and he said he'd definitely want to reprise his character should there be a s4, because his character didn't show much growth, and he wanted to portray more). Did something happen? It's so sudden when in the first episode he got introduced being transferred to another station, and really, it just doesn't make sense.

My theory here is something may have happened, which is also why voice 4 was premiered in 2021 instead of 2020? There are other characters we all wish to come back, but JSY... that guy really deserved more.

I think not enough if it's only up to 14 episodes. The villain was very suitable to be played by Lee Kyuhyung, he is very good at playing any character.

For Derek Cho, I think he has his own charm compared to previous detectives. He quickly believes in kang center and doesn't have a temper likes other detectives haha. Well even though he has a grudge and a dark past.. ((Even though I still ship kang center with do timjang)).

Also When I saw the season 1 profile and saw some names that rejected the role of Kang Center, I honestly felt relieved because Lee Hana is very suitable to play the role of Kang center until now.

i have not watched the previous seasons and the plot is still undertstandable.

it starts with a very intriguing murder case and slowly reveals the backgrounds and childhoods of the lead officers on the case. the officers encounter various incidents on vimo island while pursuing the circus man serial killer.

it reminds me of the 2021 kdrama mouse. officers who are family members of victims of a serial killer work to catch the criminal.

I'm really loving this season. I love that Dae Shik is back and love Song Seung Heon's role, he's nailing it.

This is the only season of Voice that I watch while still ongoing. I waited for the past 3 to be completed before watching it. Can't believe there are only 4 episodes left.

Gets so mixed up as if you are watching 1 episode cute into 3 episodes of this show. Also isn't as thrilling and suspenseful as the predecessors. Guess it was because due to it being aired on TVN. Why though when everything was working great in OCN ?Love SSH being lead here but i wish Jang Hyuk Can come back in the finale

This season is the best one after season 1, I didn't really like season 2 and 3. I didn't really like the acting and story there. Season 3 is finally interesting again and also they have so many good actors, even the actors who play the victims. And Lee Kyu Hyung is such a great choice as "psychopath" and circus man.

Honest opinion about S4, I think it is less brutal, less thrilling maybe because it is being shown in tvN and there are young viewers. Stop asking Team Leader Do to come back, the story in S2 and S3 ended in the best possible way. And his death is his only escape to everything. The series need a new story line thus a new character. But honestly, I think the best sequence of this series is, S1, S4, S2&3. The final season should always be the best. That is why there are a lot of comparison going on because they set the bar too high.

Lee Ha Na seems to be hiding something and cannot give her 101% because her rapport with LJW was still better. Looking at the tv rates, it will not surpass what LJW have given. It does not give thrills. Their acting with those crimes scenarios were so simple. Also, imagine a person grew up in US speaking that way. Yes, SSH is a great actor with remarkable status but that was during his younger years.

I don't really care if the male lead changed again, after all, it's not that easy to keep all the same cast for a Korean TV series that's already in it's 4th season. And Song Seung Heon is an amazing actor, he will definitely give justice to the role.

pin Jun 21 2021 4:19 am yeah,,, i was so excited for the 4th season and this was my favorite show but i dont think im gonna keep on watching. the lineup changes way too often and i dont like that nor do i like this new guy i wish they stopped changing it i miss team leader do and i dont like the add of the 'lapd' although its so cool and im really curious who this new killer is i just want mad dog back. that would have been so much better. or dont bring anyone new. im tired of these new and new characters.

Sometimes i muted like i did before (voice 1-3). LOL. For all of that things i did, just to prove that i really enjoying this kdrama. Can't hardly wait for the next episode. Even i'm so sad, Kang Do Woo is really dead, i thought he died on the bad dreams as plot twist as usuall. But never mind, Song Seung Heon i always adore. ?

Hopefully we'll get even more seasons since the other three did so well in ratings. From the trailers, could Kwon Joo be the villain and suffer from DID as well? Or maybe she's trying to hunt down a twin sibling or dopplerganger (like what Penthouse did) and confront her past? I'm curious about the second option since we never really saw her backstory other than her father's death and her injury that led her to have enhanced hearing.
