Employees at a police station and a fire station work together to solve cases.

Jin Ho-Gae (Kim Rae-Won) works as a detective. He does his job well. He isn't friendly when he talks to people, but he solves cases with his excellent ability to grasp crimes scenes, read a criminal's mind and having a strong will to win.

Bong Do-Jin (Son Ho-Jun) works as a firefighter. He is enthusiastic with his work. He seems cold to people, but he is nice to those around him and he takes good care of victims. He rushes to fire sites without a moment of hesitation. Song Seol (Gong Seung-Yeon) works as a paramedic. She has a warm heart.

The whole cast and production team has done awesome work. I have literally learnt a lot from this movie. I don't know how do I express it right now. I just loved Jin Hogae work. I felt motivated and strong while watching this series. I'm fully satisfied with this series. The happy ending has won my heart.

erene Feb 17 2024 4:40 pm Best kdrama I ever watched besides Partner For Justice. And I did hear that their script writer is the same person? If im not mistaken. I really love the actors on this series. Kudos to the casting director, they did a great job. The actors really suit their respective character. Eventhough there a romance scene between the male lead, it doesn't affect the series. For me, Anna a bit boring.The character given to her doesn't stand out or maybe she doesn't fit the character? Besides main lead, I also admiring Myeongpil. He really funny and sweet. Putting Myeongpil as Jin Hogae's colleague was the right decision. Jin Hogae is quick to anger and impatient while Myeongpil is always calm and helpful.

I finished watching both season within a week i guess. Ending of the episode really make me wanna know what gonna happened next. I do love cases in S2 more then S1. Maybe it's because I prefer cases involving major crimes that detectives have to investigate. Whatever it is, can't wait for S3. Hope the actors still same and please don't change their characters. Need Kim Rae Won, Gong Seung Yeon, Kang Ki Doon, Song Ji Yoon, Oh Eui Shik and other actors too.

Very rirrealistic many situations shown among the forces of law and order. We think things work very differently. Interesting was the attitude of the character Bong Do Jin, who changed his behavior strongly as soon as Jin Ho Gae resigned. Almost as if he wanted to emulate him. Finally, we remind our Korean friends once again, that when there is someone you like or love, it is important to let them know. The usual muteness shown in this series also leads nowhere. In this regard, there was a strong love plot, but nobody had the courage (apart a little bit Song Seol to open their mouth). Hopefully Disney Plus will soon show us the 2nd series to see how this will end. For the moment our Rating is 80 Greetings from Italy

I love Seol and Hogae chemistry and I’m rooting for them in season two. It’s obvious that they already like each other but not sure if sbs will push the romance.

Dojin was about to confess but Seol probably just thinks of him as a brother/colleague and nothing more. Dojin and Yoon Hong looks good together so I hope they’ll somehow end up together.

The "romance" of Seol and Ho-gae seems a bit unnatural to me but how knows, maybe I might actually see some real chemistry between them later on; there are still 4 episodes left, not sure how but anything is possible. To be honest,I would much rather them stay as friends/colleagues. On another note, I absolutely love Do-jin and Ki-soo; My favorite character is Gongmyung Pil. He is so funny and sweet. The writer of the story really knows the plot. it seems the writer is a professional in Medical forensic, or a pharmaceutical chemist for clearly describing the scientific methods and terms used in solving crimes. I enjoy watching this drama series that are interesting. the plot of the crime is almost similar to the crimes committed in my country. especially the cast Kim Rae-won is my favorite actor. ?

I can tell the difference between a good drama and a so-so one. THIS is a good series. It seems people complaining (a) fast-forwarded a lot, (b) do not have an understanding of the situations/actions.

The actors are wonderful. Nice to see Kang Ki-Doong in a decent role. SON HO-JUN...I've been watching and rooting for his career for years! Did you know his best friend and supporter was Yunho of DBSK (TVXQ)?? They grew up together.

Lastly, I am all for the romance between the two leads.

Also jin hogae constantly abusing his body and waking up n going on job next day when he had a cardiac arrest and a major surgery is just too much.

Anna Dec 10 2022 5:01 am What a poor writing. The actors are great but the storyline sucks. The title is The First Responders, however, the story only focuses on police case. I am just confuse if Son Ho Jun is the second lead, because his roles is more like supporting cast. Only few scenes of him. Kang Ki Doong has more scene than him. I know it’s a drama, but the paramedics have more control?

Meaning, there's a lot of uncontroled and unsafe process happening in South Korea. I think, thats what they meant. The certificate was actually fake and the gf/suspect was threathened by her ex by destroying her reputation

Also in ghost murder episode they say abortions are illegal,i checked and they are legal in korea since last few years, so why she went for an illegal abortion.

Jin fans Dec 04 2022 6:58 pm Someone asking if is there only one firefighter team in entire Korea?ofc no, In this drama all the accidents happened in the same area(district ), you can see by the name , Taewon police station, Taewon hospital and Taewon fire station, that's why we always see like only them who's working in every accident.

But drama is drama, it's an own small world of fiction. No need any relation or connection to our real life. Just enjoy and stop comparing.

avery Dec 03 2022 10:17 am i'm currently at ep2. i understand now why the comments say it don't seem realistic. how is the emergency room door not closed and the mom is allowed to see the daughter being checked? and also, why did the doctor let seol do the resuscitation? i hope the plot improves. will continue watching for the detective for now because only he seems good at acting. i feel like this is the first drama of the director and scriptwriter.

The mom and her boyfriend did something so hideous and awful but the way they presented the case makes me feel like they did something much less awful! I felt embarrassed while watching it

A few thoughts tho. For the first episode, the relationship between the police, firemen, and parademic is not fully established. I mean, they tried but it's somewhat lacking. I feel like they need to pick it up in the next episodes bec this is basically the essence of the show.

Some questionable scenes: (1) perpetrator not being able to smell/see the smoke coming from a burning room (2) paramedic not instructing the lady to tie a cloth or smth above the injured leg to prevent more bleeding

Details are so important. It's what make dramas more "believable". Let's see how the next episodes play out.

K Nov 18 2022 10:31 pm Why in korean shows middle and high school students talk in such rude and weird ways like they are psychopaths opening their eyes widely and misbehave with elders and elders in turn treat them as kids and keep calling those bullies as kids? I have never seen in any other part of world where students talk to people so badly and specially to the cops. Like in funeral home that vlog recording guy and other kids were so openly badly behaved. And these attitudes are glorified as tough and cool in dramas. In other parts of world noone would tolerate such behaviors.

Also if oxygen speeds up paraquat then why paramedics or first aid staff are not trained into identifying the smell of substance, or in any other form finding out what was ingested so that they dont give oxygen? If her mom sues the paramedics i dont see how its wrong. It was also the staff's fault. Also if girl has self harm history, her mom is too concerned with bills, also the daughter was too rude to mom, why these high school kids are shown as if they are doing a favor by being born to their parents. I felt extremely bad for the mother,she didnt deserve it.

I know drama is very exaggerated in general and not believable and hence viewers criticism is justified too specially when the culprit couldnt smell the fire wheb entire plastics in room are on fire.even if little bit plastic burns in 1 room of house the smell os very strong and spreads to entire place. Plastic gives very bad smell on burning.

But anyways, I like this show better than 1 dollar lawyer with no forced comedy and situations seem engaging. Its a fresh break too from usual dramas.

I love medical/criminal series but this first episode was so terrible that I’m surprised it aired. Who wrote this? The acting is flat. No chemistry amongst all the three leads. The series is already predictable. First episode I give it 0.5/10.

Scriptwriter and director seemed so amateurish, hard putting scenarios or speech just to set up the character’s personality quickly. Was watching while ranting about how everything did not make any sense. Disappointing.

At first i thought female lead is seolhyun of aoa then i found out shes from other drama circle etc. I have liked her before but here her face has changed a lot i couldnt recognize, dont like her acting in this show. I still cant believe how she and seolhyun are looking same. Son ho jon really deserves equal role as kim rae won. Very nice start, promising show. But it think that girl dragging herself and starting a fire in that state are exaggerated. I hope tech can get so advanced that through tracking mobile phones persons exact location can be traced.
