300 years ago, humans and vampires finalized a peace treaty, but they still do not get along well with each other.

In the present day, Jae-Min (Yeo Jin-Goo) is a popular high school student. He falls in love with transfer student Baek Ma-Ri. Baek Ma-Ri though hides her true identity as a vampire.

KST Jun 17 2023 12:42 pm I just finished watching this drama today.It was really nice. Actually I watched this drama because I like Yeo jin go..but I fell for Lee jong hyun's acting... I really like his actions. He is so handsome.. I hope Baek mari to end up with Shi ho because Jae min hates Bae mari because she is a vampire. Anyhow the sageuk part of this drama was so beautiful.

annyeong May 16 2022 1:40 pm i have just finished watching this drama after a long break. i started watching this drama for like almost a year ago? or half year ago maybe? but then, i choose to stop watching it at the end of eps 4. that time, i was watching on a website and i start to get bored watching it because it's like a classic romance for me. but then, 2 3 days ago, i decided to continue watching it again and it turns out that i don't regret it to continue watching. at first, i get a little confuse at the historical part. it takes time for me to know the situation. but because I'm a big fan of sageuk drama, so i really like it. then i got a little confuse again when the time get back to present time which jae min (yeo jin goo) get his amnesia. but overall this drama is good and fun to watch ????

RAZ Nov 12 2020 7:59 pm I put off watching this for a long time, first because it is only 12 episodes and second because none of the actors are my "favorite" so I was busy watching other dramas first. I have always liked some of the actors in this though which is why I decided to finally give it a shot. The actors here did a wonderful job with what they were given to work with though. So hats off to them, they all deserve awards.

The part I like most was the historical story. Frankly the modern story has very uninteresting characters and drags on too long. They should have extended the historical part, made it a full 16 episodes and got rid of the whole amnesia part. In contrast the historical story was good by itself (episodes 5-9) just that it wasn't fleshed out enough and the historical ending didn't actually have to end that way. I get it, the author wanted a sad historical story in order to justify the modern story, but it fell flat. The author was too interested in his modern day agenda (public service ad) to do justice to the actual modern day storyline. He just should have chukked it in the end and focused on the historical which was way better and far more interesting. This is why you need a good editor that can tell you to kill your babies (side stories) that aren't worth keeping alive.

Yown Jul 11 2020 5:06 am So with this quarantine i started revisiting and rewatching all my downloaded kdrama's and saw this one that i have downloaded until episode 8 and trying to remember why i never finished watching this one. I'll try again, but just based on some comments i found here, i think i know now why. I seem to remember getting turned off when they turned all historical.. but lets see again since i have a lot of time these days

AG Apr 11 2020 1:16 am I really didn’t like this drama. It was doing alright in the beginning when Jae Min likes Mari. It was cute how they liked each other. Then Shi Hoo came along. I strongly feel that Shi Hoo and Mari would have been the perfect couple. They are both vampires so they will obviously relate to each other. And Mari's Parents Like Shi Hoo. They even had a little childhood friendship for three days. Then suddenly the story is set in the Jeoson era. It draaaagggeeedd out the story and I no longer found it enjoyable to watch the rest. It was really painful to watch. The only good thing about the historical era is that Mari and Ara have a redemption arc. Then it is completely thrown away! I really wish that they carried on that redemption arc after the modern episodes. And every time Jae Min finds out that Mari is a vampire, he is soooooooo disrespectful. Like he lowkey bullies her at some points in the drama. To the point where she hates herself. If that was me, I would drop him. And he cares waaayyy to much about his social status and what people think of him. But all Shi Hoo wanted to do was to protect and look out for Mari. Yeah. Had a real serious case of Second Lead Syndrome (you wish for the female lead and second male lead to be a couple ?). And I high key felt reeaallyy bad for Ara. She invited Jae Min to a concert and he cancelled at the very last minute. She liked Jae Min before Mari came. The couples should have been reversed; Mari with Shi Hoo and; Jae Min with Ara. In conclusion, do not watch this drama. There is a random period of painstakingly boring historical episodes and there were too many pauses. The drama seriously could have beer finished in half of the amount of episodes. I found myself skipping a lot of this drama. Ugh! And Jae Min’s mum’s fillers were really fucking distracting. And, most importantly, you will watch a serious case of Second Lead Syndrome.

Tati Jul 15 2018 12:48 am The drama is pretty decent until they went historical on me in episode 5. I was very confused throughout the whole historical segement until I got to episode 10. I see what they was trying to do with having a “background” about why they chose to fall in love but it was very not necessary. Plus honestly, while I was watching I started to ship Ma Ri with Si Hoo more than Jae Min. I felt that the drama would be more interesting if Si Hoo’s character was the main lead because I felt like a deeper connection with him. I understand why they used Jae Min to show that humans and vampires could coexist together since he is well respected in his school.

Would I recommend this drama, not really because the change of gears in this drama had a girl clueless and was not well put together.

Kgyeran Jun 21 2018 12:37 pm It is an okay drama until episode 5 and after that it takes a turn to historical which threw off all of my interest in the drama and I stopped watching it why? ->The historical throwback that goes on for episodes was completely unexpected that it threw off all credibility this drama had going for it. ->I was completely confused what on earth is happening? -> The historical story was completely boring and dragged out for too long.

If you want to watch a historical drama watch "hwarang" , "Scarlet heart ryeo" or "Love in the moonlight"/"Lovers drawn by clouds".

For your own benefit even if somebody recommended you to watch this drama just watch the trailers and decide whether or not it is really worth your time.

Amandeep Dec 16 2017 1:40 am The storyline is well written. But, they should avoid historical parts and focus on the modern storyline. I think the director wants to have good creative writing, and I really like historical as it is very good. I don't watch TV shows during the late night and don't force myself to try to finish it until the end, and Orange Marmalade is not one of them. It makes me want to watch more episodes. It is too bad that it has 12 episodes only and this causes storytelling paces fast. I totally love Seolhyun! She has a great job at acting. Overall, it was enjoyable and great. I recommend this to anyone. I haven't read the webtoon, but as I said, the director wants to have better creative writing.

It is a wonderful drama and all the characters have done their best I don't feel shi oho should have been the first lead coz he was too perfect for his role as a vampire and I feel no one could have done it better than him And jaemin and Mari are just perfect It is a wonderful drama ?

Don't get me wrong, I love Jin-Goo, but his character is so weak and annoying from the start. Shi Hoo's character is more lovable! He's the only reason why I didn't stop watching this drama. Lee Jong-Hyun executed his role very well, he acts so good! Hoping to see him as the lead character.

DeadFantasy Nov 25 2015 5:47 am Absolutely loved this drama. I love love love Yeo Jin-Goo and once again his acting was phenomenal♥ Seol Hyun and Lee Jong-Hyun were both fantastic actors too. Had me screaming, excited, crying and feeling all their emotions because they conveyed it so well.

Overall I really loved the story and it saddens me that so many only cared for the modern day episodes. I enjoyed it very much but in my opinion I preferred and loved the Joseon dynasty episodes much more♥ It's difficult to find time to rewatch a drama but I will be rewatching the Joseon dynasty episodes again most definitely<333

kamila gwizdala Oct 02 2015 2:50 pm Orange Marmalade wasn't that bad kind of confusing with the switch-over in the 4th episode , but the main character gets in your nerves. This is why in this drama is only worth watching the second lead character which (Lee Jong-Hyun) plays. In other words the only thing why Orange Marmalade is worth watching is because of the second main character. Hopefully he gets the main character in a upcoming drama. the main girl was good at her acting too . is just the main guy character that is very annoying to watch on this drama. Don't get me wrong the guy that play the main character does it well, he is a good actor, is just that the character he plays i hate it ( he complains too much and he is a little narcissist).

Seen him in another drama and he was equally devoid of talent. Korea needs to stop assuming than any guy/gal who stands on stage and pretends to sing is also by default a good actor. give the opportunity to someone that is not as famous but can act his/her way out of a paper bag.

Tma Aug 17 2015 10:06 am I have been reading the webtoon, so when i first watch one episode from the drama i didin't like it and i found it boring, i watched some more episodes by accident on KBS WORLD because i'm already know what the story about, i didn't give it an attention, but yesterday when i watched the last episode , it was great! I liked it very much , i loved orange marmalade band , the couples & the happy ending , i think you have to watch it because the ending means that when you love someone it doesn't matter what he/she likes , or where they come from , since there's differences there's reason to accept and love ..

CW Aug 07 2015 8:25 am I liked this at first, but it seemed like a "test run" for something. Vampires will never be cute or cuddly, so I tire of this trend. It was very well filmed cinematically, and liked the leads. The single part that really moved me was SPOILER when the vampire disintegrated himself in the sun. I felt very sad for him. But then they revived him? Yeah, just couldn't buy that little insert. END SPOILER.

Mitalistya Aug 03 2015 12:34 pm For those who read webtoon version, and for me as well, this drama might be a bit disappointing since we can measure what was lacking. We keep comparing both version. I did it for first 5 episodes which was turn out a bit far from my expectation. However, as episode goes, I can say drama version just tried to be more logical than webtoon by making it more simple and wrapping all 50s chapter into 4 episodes, then the rest is going back to the past . I can't give all my thumbs for this, but I really appreciate actors who made this drama becomes worth watching.

But I guess many people who haven't read its webtoon will like this drama, and I tell you to not stop watching. It will get better till you reach the end lol. Happy watching!

christina Aug 01 2015 3:13 am No, I think I have not given enough credits to the drama and the writers in my last comment. I love the drama. I like the way the writer open ways for our imaginations. Do you believe in vampires? If so, do you think there might be really vampires among us? Do you believe you have lived before this life? Fictions are good for our stressful lifestyles :) A drama is not consider successful if viewers watch and forget about it. The writers achieved it when viewers got all talking about their dramas. And, what a genius idea to use "Orange Marmalade" as title...every time I spread that on my bread, I'll remember this drama....lol

christina Aug 01 2015 2:49 am For me, one who have not read the comic, this drama is a unusual piece of work. If watch with the usual mindset, it will be normal to ask questions. It is like a piece of abstract art...the writer's intention seems to be drawing attentions to the less-priviledge in our society. To spice up an otherwise boring reality, the writer packed it into a more catchy theme- vampires. I think that's very wise. Nobody wants vampires in our midst just as nobody wants to be near those we consider not normal. We despised them not knowing that we are even worst. Between episode 7-9, if I am not mistaken, Ma-Ri told Jae-Min, that they drink blood from the animals the people killed to eat. Though people did not personally kill, they are the reason animals died. Notice also the reason "Orange Marmalade" being used as title & the band in the first few episode. I think by focusing on the 'meat' of the show, the story will become the 'sauce' of the drama....tasty enough, who cares what it is made of. I watched Jin-Goo in Moon that embraced the Sun and really marvel at his work and this time he did not disappoint me. All the best everybody.....

KdramaNoona Jul 31 2015 10:10 am Going back to the past was necessary because the idea off a present world with vampite was unreal. The past fitted more in this case. Seeing Yeo Jin Goo and Park Geon Tae together gave me the feeling to watch Warrior BaekDongSoo again. It's good to see them together again.

푸른 하늘 Jul 29 2015 4:37 am The idea that Song Jong Ho (Han Yoon Jae) is Lee Il Hwa's (Kang Min Ha) lover feels somehow awkward for me. The two were in Reply 1997, where Lee Il Hwa acted as a second mother to the Yoon brothers played by Song Jong Ho and Seo In Guk. Anyway, the whole cast really did a great job.

cookie10 Jul 27 2015 6:33 pm After wasting my Fridays watching all 12 episodes weekly, I can safely say that this drama was so disappointing and to be honest very wishy-washy. Initially the first 3 or 4 episodes were actually not bad. The plot was really interesting even making it a world about vampires and human co-existing with a brewing romance emerging between a vampire and a human in a high school. I think the rest of those 8 episodes after that especially part 3 of the series was the worst thing I have ever seen in a korean drama with random ancient era storylines, random band storyline. Like what the hell happened to the fact that the lead is a vampire? The ancient era part of the series although came up without explanation at first interested me too but when it didn't end up connecting with the modern age I was just like wth! Why did they do that and if they made her a vampire back then too why was her financial status as a butcher's daughter more important than the fact that she drinks blood and has vampire powers! It doesn't make sense to have a show with vampires in it if the show never touches upon the characters actually being vampires. If drinking tomato juice and getting bullied makes one a vampire then at least half the world is a vampire, cuz this show made everything so lame. And they at first introduced vampire powers in like the 4th episode and didn't once ever touch upon it again, like what a tease. The third part I had a little hope for because I did want to know why Jae Rim lived all the way up to the modern age, and how Baek Ma Ri doesn't know anything about the ancient days. I thought it was going to be dramatic with Jae Rim telling Ma Ri everything about what happened even after his stupid memory loss and how the hell he lived up till now (wasn't he human?) but I should have figured, the show did not do that. They focused on music once again and the bullying thing again. I'm fine with bullying shows cuz I think its an issue today, I really liked Angry Mom and it did a great job adressing that issue but Angry Mom isn't about vampires, Orange Marmalade is. Orange Marmalade was really a shame especially since it had great potential but it ended up being useless. I'm usually a softie for idol dramas, I like idol dramas and usually I can put aside some untied or incomplete storylines that a lot of idol dramas have but this one literally made every episode so wrong. Why they couldn't have a clearer storyline and follow that one or two paths, I have no idea. They forced stupid stuff that took away from the show and made the audience confused. Its really a shame.

Objectively, it's lame. The romance is typically what high school girls fantasize about; "perfect, popular guy" and forbidden love between two different beings, cliche, you've seen this too many times. Nothing pops out on this drama, they just added the vampire concept to put complications on their romance and that's it, they even put a music concept for no significant reason. Jae Min keeps playing hardball and Ma Ri keeps chasing him like a fool walking on nails.

Take a look at the elements for yourself, I don't know how people categorize it as Awesome or Brilliant, when it's all too usual. Average at best.

I too questioned it until I got to episode ten and realised that going back in time made the chemistry between the lead characters more understandable... I have no idea why they have to turn this to a historical drama like "could someone explain this to me?" I don't get it. There's even doesn't have a plot twist. It was totally a disappointment to the other viewers who did love this from the start of the drama. And yes, I kinda love the casts, but Jung Jaemin that I know isn't that manly on this drama. I read the webtoon because I'm quite curious to know what will really happen if he finds out that Baek Mari is a vampire. So, the webtoon gave me an answer. Sorry for comparing but webtoon is better than drama.

candy Jul 04 2015 6:50 pm guys....who ever is saying that the character development isn't great and there is no chemistry and 1-4 ep were rushed, this isn't a 100 ep drama, and moreover if we analyze, jae min was attracted to her the moment he saw her. in ep 9 ending he said he will wait for her and his wait was finally over. he hates vampires because his mom left him and he thinks vampires shouldn't live along with humans. but, he was also among the people who initiated this whole vampire and human co-existence. ep 5-9 gives us the answers to the questions raised in ep 1-4. this drama is more like pieces of a puzzle that would be put together in each episode. you need to have patience for everything. you can't expect every drama to have similar love line.

In the last minute of episode 4, Jae Min and Ma Ri are enrolled in different schools and seem not to know each other. To add on, Jae Min visualises the "Joseon version" of Ma Ri. Episode 5 is basically the start of the historical drama, which brings viewers to the reason for the grudge between humans and vampires. Sounds good, but why do the characters have the same names? Does this mean that they are playing the same roles? I am fine with the same actors and actresses in the historical part of the show, but giving them the same cast name makes things more confusing. When I showed my boyfriend the episode where the male lead was caught by a net hoisted up by a crane upside down and smacks into a stack of crates while danging 20 feet in the air and later on in the same episode he falls off a light house grabs onto a chain only for him to randomly pass out and the chain to be struck by lightning thus sending him plunging into the sea...my bf almost died laughing. Oh yeah all this followed by a bout of amnesia and a random back in time plot that in no way connects. Way too stupid. If i were both of these actors I'd consider a new career or fire my agent.

I mean, if you try to make that webtoon into a kdrama, how do you think it's going to be? It's obviously way to short and won't have much of an interaction between the charctars. Plus, the transition between the modern era and Joseon era has quite grown on me. It plays an important part in explaining the background and history between humans and vampires. I'm anticipating in this drama, because even if it may not be my taste at the moment, I will be looking forward to how they will connect back to the modern storyline again.

There so much value and story in manhwa as the chapter goes by we learn how important is trust between one and another, acceptance, friendship, hardship, child abuse and etc whereas in drama they are so into the love relationship and nothing else. This is what differentiate the quality between manhwa and drama.

I stop right after the disappointment of episode 4 i am not so into joseon theme drama thus I cant say if episode 5 is good or bad.

Going to stress this for one last time that this is my opinion so fan who love the series don't feel offended by this.

Character development is important when it comes to the webtoon version in which the drama lacks. I understand they're not trying to make everything the same but even with lots of plot changes, it's not better at all. It's a shame because the casts are on point and acting was good. And to those who hasn't read the webtoon yet, I suggest read them and you'll understand why I rant.

The Webtoon wasn't even all that great, maybe because I've read a lot of good Manga(yes, japanese) before I read this Webtoon. It's an overused concept with cliche characters and love line, I don't know what is supposed to stand out. Drama OR Webtoon, it's not all that great, worth one watch if you can hold on long enough.

The Director tried to fit everything in the first few episodes and in the Manga Mari DID HAD friends whereas here, Mari is not seen with many friends. Also the backstory of Shin Woo and Mari did not exist in the Manga and here it does?! Really?! and then, of course, Korean Drama's ALWAYS have to include someone losing their memories and it had to be no other than the male protagonist, like i said again, THIS DID NOT HAPPEN IN THE MANGA. I get the point, "Well, the main idea is still the same" "Stop comparing Manga to the Drama" NO FUCK THAT! This Drama is suppose to be at lease 75% the same, not different! So excuse me while I keep enjoying myself with the manga and forget about this one~

I still love this drama, after watching heaps of dramas and sleepless nights I don't think they will make the 2nd lead just disappear like that, not with our Shi Hoo!

I'm not sure what the PD is thinking by making Shi Hoo commit suicide like that (that didn't happen and he got a happy ending in the webtoon, his background story isn't the same in the webtoon) and making Jae Min suddenly fall off the lighthouse (does anybody know how the hell he even fell? Like wth??) and drown and lose his memory.. From ep 2-3 I knew the drama was a bit weird since it was progressing TOO fast... and wth is with the Joseon era now in ep 5... Are they showing the present are the reincarnated people from the past and it's some destined love? Ugh this didn't happen in the webtoon, so guys PLEASE READ IT IF YOU HAVEN'T! >_>

I mean, the weebtoon version can be easily loved because it does not only revolve on a the relationship between 2 individuals, but it also emphasizes the friendship they built along the journey.. it' s not just jaemin's love who broke the ice princess mari but it's also thankz to the band club who accepted her and supported her all the way.. I think what' s missing in this drama is the emphasis of the BOND between mari (the vampire) and her human friends.. the heart was there.. and it already lost just by this far... I hope there will be a good

channie61 May 30 2015 1:28 pm It's not good nor bad either. I've read the webtoon and even though the ending in webtoon is definitely sucks, but I prefer Jae Min's character there than in the drama. We can easily falling in love with Jung Jae Min in the webtoon, but in the drama well it's quite so-so. Yeo Jin Goo's acting is very good but it's just... he's too young to be paired with Seolhyun or Jonghyun. As for Seolhyun's acting, I know Baek Ma Ri character is an ice princess and many people said she did a good job, but for me, something is missing from her acting (it's definitely emotion tho since I can't feel anything when she cried, different from the Mari that I know from webtoon). And the plot is... urgh. Some episodes were rushed, and some were missing, and some was too much. I just can't feel Jaemin-Mari at all. 4 episodes and already so close, not think too much about human-vampire thingy, heh?

yeji May 22 2015 11:28 am I read the whole manhwa and i'm diligently watching the drama. At first i wonder how they would do with the drama, and slightly worried that i would be disappointed with how it turned out. But thank god it's beyond my expectation. It does have the necessary amount of humor and so far didn't leave out the necessary part of the plot in the manhwa (perhaps bcz the manhwa writer also involves in the making). It perfectly portrays the innocence and thrills of high school romance bcz that's what the manhwa is basically about. first of all, i'm impressed with the drama. The adjustments in the drama screenplay make the story short enough to fit the number of episodes (but seriously, 12 episodes is way too short) but not losing the essential parts of the story. For instance, I think it's a smart move to make jaemin's vampire stepdad (which is also sihoo's uncle) to be the teacher instead of what was like in the manhwa (his mom), because it creates deeper relationships between each characters (sihoo-jaemin-sihoo's uncle). To compare it with the manhwa, sihoo's uncle takes the role of jaemin's mom, her vampire husband, and mari's aunt all at once. Another remark would be about sihoo's character. In the manhwa, sihoo has a very strong and dark personality, and there wasn't quite an explanation on how he could have that dark side of his. Meanwhile in the drama, sihoo's strong character is still there (and less psychopatic, yeay for that) and they provided us with a background story on how he became the way he is now, which is kind of sad and makes him kind of pathetic. But i think such change is good, bcz i dont know if the sihoo in the manhwa would be accepted for public viewing (through the drama).

Second (and probably the last) thing is, I've just watched the preview of episode 4, and i'm kinda worried that the plot might be going too fast (i mean it's only been 3 episodes and sihoo's leaving mari in episode 4???). Perhaps it's bcz they have to keep up with 12 EPISODES (really, KBS??) but if they keep rushing the plot, i'm afraid that they would have showed it all before episode 12 and consequently they would fill the remaining episode with some not-so-important story.

I hope it will have extended episodes (finger crossed)

Jung Jae-Min : In manhwa he is super popular and handsome. He's a misogynist hate women touch him and never really ever talk to any girl (of cause in exception of Mari). He doing all sort of thing (waited Mari at train station and to the point of stalking her lol) to attract Mari attention. Meanwhile he hated Ara very much for bothering him. Sorry no offense but I don't think Jin-Goo visual wise is not attractive enough to play the role.

Baek Mari: She a loner and always eat alone never really talked to anybody in class to the point the people dub her as the ice princess also she is absolutely emotionless she did not laugh or smile at all. She always wearing headphone to avoid people around her and also so that she not had listen to those student badmouthing about vampire. She does all the weird thing like slapping herself and etc.Having said so she is the most sought after girl in her school even though she reject all confession the boy still find her attractive and mysterious. She always use "forget" or "don't remember" as reason to avoid troublesome situation with Jae Min.

Han Shi-Hoo : This guy doesn't not appear until very late in manhwa. He is a playboy and crazy of human blood. He act like he don't care and always tease Mari buy deep inside he actually really care for her. He is super cute when is he is sober xD

Jo A-Ra: She is very arrogant not like in drama acting all angelic. And oh she is freaking scared of Shi Hoo because Shi Hoo threaten her he will suck her blood dry if he found out she did something bad to Mari lol.

Plot wise since it is still early but there is many important character missing and not that so important character has bigger role to play in the drama like Jae Min step dad. I am just disappointed that in drama there is not much funny and cute scene happening between the two main lead but we shall see in the next 2 episode what to happen.

I really recommend the manhwa but for those who yet to read and planning to read it I advise not to untill the drama end or you may just lost interest in the drama itself.

haneul May 21 2015 2:43 am well, it's dissapointing to lose some things from the webtoon but actually I get new things in the drama also.. and i also think that it's too fast for jaemin to fall in love with mari in the drama.. even if i haven't read the webtoon, i'm sure i would think the same.. but actually the drama is interesting. and i'm excited enough to watch the 3rd ep, more likely it has different plot from the webtoon so i wonder what will happen in the next ep.. i hope it to be a great drama, since there's yeo jingoo here, and it has interesting story also, about vampire and human living along together. i think it would not only be a love story between mari and jaemin.. their love will somehow impact the relation between human and vampire.. well, just me and my thought here.. and there's lee jonghyun here.. wow, his acting is getting so much better here, i'm glad! :) i think it's not fair for comparing the webtoon and drama.. i meant, you can't blame them for changing the plot for the drama.. well, for you who have read it, it could be such a dissapointment.. but let's regard the drama like it should be. don't blame it for have different plots with the webtoon.. who knows maybe the drama could be another great piece of work, right??

They like made things up like she was friends with si hoo as a kid, which never happened. and Jae Min fell for her like it was nothing. I adore his acting skill since then and always looking forward to see him grown up and be the main lead. So far i love the drama n their acting. Maybe becoz my my mind is free from comparing the drama and the webtoon. Anyway, let's give it a chance since it's only been 2 episodes so not much can be conveyed. Many might say they prefer Jonghyun over Jinggoo for Jaemin.. I think it's more to his looks as the factor than his acting. U know why it's Jinggoo for Jaemin? Because i believe that in later episodes there will be very intense part. Sad, hurt. And not many actor can potray that deep hurt very well. And that's Jingoo speciality. U cry when he cried!

I wish the drama has the auntie and Mari's friends (esp the short-haired girl in the webtoon who found out Mari's identity first).

someone May 19 2015 5:20 am I'm not really a fan of the manhwa, but I feel like Yeo Jingoo is too young and cute to do Jaemin. Jaemin is more the athletic, dashing guy. But his acting is awesome, as always. Seolhyun's acting is fine, a little awkward, but the way they portrayed Mari in the manhwa was a whole lot better. That being said, Lee Jonghyun is the one who actually fits his character and I somehow want Mari to end up with Shihoo now, even though I'm not the type who has the second male lead syndrome and, even against all odds, I usually want to the main leads together. But in this one, I want Shihoo and Mari.

Btw, I love the changes they have made in the drama especially the focus on the vampire concept. I thought this drama would be boring because I thought they would focus on the school life concept. Alice May 17 2015 8:52 pm I'm bummed that they decided to remove a lot of the strong female characters originally in the webcomic: Jung Soo Ri and Do Woo Mi and her aunt. The dynamic and development among Ma Ri, Soo Ri, and Woo Mi were very endearing as well as interesting. And the relationship with her aunt was very sweet.

For any fellow webcomic readers, we shouldn't expect this drama to be very similar to the webcomic. I definitely prefer the webcomic.

But that being said, I still have hopes for the drama.

This drama is totally different from the original webtoon, I don't say this drama the is the worst, but the writer make it more interesting to this drama. So, we can't never know what will story will end and we continue to watch this drama again and again. The only one weakness on this drama is the plot of the story very fast.... like we were watching a film that only took 2,5 hours to end. I hope for the best in this drama and I hope this drama would take at least 16 or more episodes. Fighting for all casts and crews! good job!

I was looking forward to the live adaptation of the manhwa. I liked the drama tho but the drama is so so different from the manga.

1. Jae Min fell for Mari too fast in the drama.

2. It was Jae Min's mother who was the teacher in the webtoon.

3. I am looking for Ma Ri's friends. Where are thou?

I bet there would be a lot more differences in the later episodes. But this drama is already good for me. Although it would be better if they didn't change what's on the manhwa and run the show for more episodes (they must run it until 16 or 20 episodes.)

Anyway read the manhwa and you'll understand more. I loved the manhwa a lot!!!

I think the love triangle bit is kind of in the way at the moment, too much too soon. I am enjoying all of the actors. I also think that the time frame and target audience for this drama is possibly too young to have some real nasty villains, although Han Shi-Hoo has been able to show his angst and dissatisfaction already. Nice job so far. I love the cast. Jin goo and seol Hyun are fine, their chemistry is great. One a random note, i REALLY love the purple eyes... hahahahahha

looney May 16 2015 11:29 am They changed a lot of things but I think they did a good job with Jaemin. Jaemin is Jaemin. They played around with the background story but it ends with the same Jaemin. Jingoo being the actor helps too. He definitely tried to stick to the original while conforming his acting with the script he was given. With Shihoo, they changed him too much. It even makes me want him to end up with Mari though I sure as heck wanted him to die when I was reading the webtoon. About Mari, I'm not getting anything out of her character right now. In the webtoon she was always distancing herself and tries to not stand up. In the drama, I'm not sure if my not getting anything out of her character is because it was written that way or because the actress is not that good. Loved it though. It was cute and Jaemin is so adorable.

On the manhwa ver., mae ri is known to sing sooo beautiful, so I had high hopes for the live ver, and it actually didn’t turn out to be as disappointed as I thought It would be..especially since the song in the teasee is so good to make me repeat the trailer for about 10x, haha.. At first I hated the choice of yeo jin goo as Jae Min, but after that I watched I Miss You (to reduce my addiction to park yoo chun and TGWCSS), and I completely fall in love with yeo jin goo, his acting is so good and make him look 200x more handsome,, a good point is that he looks so natural (not a plastic product, it seems..) No comment for jong hyun since I believe he will act great as the handsome Han Shi Hoo (hopefully..) Can’t wait for the drama..!!

I mean, yeah she's pretty good at acting and I would love to see her take part in this role but don't you think she's a bit not too appropriate for this? And like, Seol Hyun and Jin Goo are almost the same age and they're a bit matured enough for the drama.I'm not comparing them by age or anything (or maybe I am I don't know and I don't care just stating my thoughts) I guess they wanted Seol Hyun for the role because she kind of has the innocent vampire look? I'm not really a fan of Seol Hyun but I guess she can pull it off :) BUT I am so happy that they are making a drama of my favorite Korean webcomic!! So excited for how it turns out!
