Pontifex Lembrary (Kim Min-Kyu) is widely regarded as having the most powerful divine power ever. While he fights against a devil, he gets transferred to a different world. Pontifex Lembrary then finds himself in a small dormitory and possessing the body of Woo Yeon-Woo, who is a member of unpopular idol group Wild Animal. The group has been together for 3 years, but they are on the verge of disbanding due to their lack of success. 9 hours later, Pontifex Lembrary is placed on a stage with Wild Animal for a live performance at a broadcasting station. When the music begins to play, Pontifex Lembrary, in Woo Yeon-Woo’s body, shouts out "I don't know how to dance." The live broadcast performance is a disaster, but it attracts the attention of people and the media. With his charms, including confident attitude, Woo Yeon-Woo, still possessed by Pontifex Lembrary's spirit, becomes popular and so does his group Wild Animal. Pontifex Lembrary must now get used to life as a member of an idol group and he faces various troubles, like dealing with weird religious groups and the devil.

pontifex Mar 05 2026 9:38 am the start was good but it gets really boring, the storyline was really slow and the romance part is not giving any feels. i only watch until episode 8 and i can’t even stand to watch anymore, i now understand why the rating was so small. i don’t think i would recommend this drama since there’re many other good series than this. such a waste of time.

I love the plot and the storyline on how they tackled the social classes, modern issues to the entertainment industry, and the Christianism. They did a very well job!!! I would definitely recommend this to other people. 11/10!!! I really love it and I'm gonna miss them so much.

eleleloves May 21 2023 6:07 am First few show was so damn good! I love both leads character and Kim Min Kyu and Go Bo Gyeol totally delivers. Though in the middle story get a bit lack luster especially around the bad guys. Bad guys a bit confusing, the internal conflicts between the bad guys and many more. How I wish the show could keep its fun energy and simplicity and could explore more on development of the Wild Animal and "Blueberry" adapting (he is hella entertaining).

I didn't expect this drama could hit me so hard since I also have been struggling with my mental health the last couple of years and feeling like my life is useless. If you guys find it not interesting, trust me just keep going, you'll become interested by the time going!! I love how they put messages regarding mental health on last episode's ending. Big applause to everyone who's been working on this drama!!

The way he talk probably did get me tired ? and the romance ... strangely I didn't like the way it was done It felt like the story wanted to do something but it was done awkwardly. I just really liked the funny part , near ep 10 I couldn't go on further on the story so I kept passing . Its Just Me , probably you are gonna like it so give it a try

Min kyu is Sooo handsome and he is an amazing actor, while Bo-Gyeol is soo stunning and pretty, Her face didn't even change, its like she is not getting old. ? Also the other cast they are all amazing. This drama makes me laugh. And I didn't really expect the plot twist ? The ending was a little bit short and i want more scene. But i guess that's how kdrama ending goes. If you're into fantasy kdrama. I highly recommended this one.?

I don't like the way rembrary talks, his serene voice bothers me, I don't like the FL, I don't like all the characters except for CEO of LLL and Gam Jae, lol. This drama definitely not for me.

But after watching it until the end, unfortunately this drama became something I wouldn’t personally recommend. The plot construction is messy compared to other dramas. The characters often take drastic action without any planning (including the reaper), making them so weak and foolish. The pacing was also inconsistent; very slow at times but then the final episode felt rushed. All in all, this drama requires a high suspension of disbelief, and it’s keeping me from being immersed. I haven’t read the webtoon though, so I don’t know whether the issue came from the source material.

Flower Mar 22 2023 10:44 am I enjoy the webtoon so much. I understand that they make the story different for the drama but I still like the webtoon version better. Despite that, I think the actors perform well. I like the on-screen interaction between the male and female lead. Kim Minkyu is a perfect cast for this role. And I like Go Bogyeol since Arthdal Chronicles era. I also think that the script is weird in the way The Evil One have the power to control people and keep spreading lies to ruin Yeonwoo's reputation...(I don't think this was the story in the original webtoon), but after episode 10, I kind of understand why the Evil One did that. Looking forward to the next episodes! I enjoy Director Im's storyline too.

This is a light drama that is not spectacular but still enjoyable to watch. I recommend this drama if you're looking for something light instead of smart.

I suggest to read the webtoon too. It's WILD. LOL. It is mostly the reason why I love Rembrary's character. Again, I think Kim Minkyu portays him well. It's just that because of the short drama format, they omit many fun things from the webtoon.

Liz Mar 12 2023 10:01 am Kim Min-kyu is doing a great job at portraying his role but I wish that the storyline would pickup. Theres been a lot of world building that I feel took too many episodes to establish. The show is supposed to be a healing one (I'm assuming), but it could benefit from more humour and more fast paced scenes. At times I find myself growing bored of the scenes and wonder what the producer is trying to accomplish.

I had high hopes for this plot as exploring idol life and being in someone else's body seems like a really interesting watch. However, I don't understand where the show is going. Episode 6 was a little more captivating so hopefully it keeps gaining speed plot-wise.

The drama is funny too, though not as funny as you want to roll on the floor, but the humors are just sweet to giggle a little. just wanna say to those who want to watch but drop it after looking at the rating, just try watch the further eps. The drama develop much better

sweetteri May 23 2022 8:22 pm Honestly I want to see him to reunite with Jin Se Yeon again because their undeniable chemistry is so good and their team up was so very special because he played an important male lead in the successful historical drama Queen: Love And War when he was pair up with JSY but I think they select another female lead in this upcoming drama because it's obvious from the plot. Anyway hopefully this drama will be good to Kim Min Kyu because he deserves to be a male lead again, I hope for the best to him. Still if have a chance I wish that he will collaborate again with JSY in another deserving and great drama in the future because their cute and sweet banter during Queen: Love And War will not be surpassed they were very comfortable with each other, love their great team up, anyway good luck! to KMK on his next project..
