Han Jae-Hyun (Yoo Ji-Tae) is a man in his 40's. He is handsome, ambitious, and a successful businessman. He pursues wealth and honor. When he was a university student (Jin Young) in his 20's, he was like a different person. He took part in the student movement. His first love around that time was Yoon Ji-Soo (Jeon So-Nee). He meets Yoon Ji-Soo (Lee Bo-Young) for the first time in many years.

Yoon Ji-Soo is a woman in her 40's. She is a mother and a contract worker. Her life is not so easy now. Han Jae-Hyun was her first love back when she was in her 20's. They meet again for the first time in many years and have the second most beautiful moment in their lives.

I cried so.much as i did with hi, bye mama. This is a heartwarming love story with amazing friendship story that i cannot ask for more.. Congrats to the cast and crew and please.keep on making dramas that makes our time worthwhile.

I seen a lot of love stories but this drama has a lot of meaning and so much love in it. The main Actors and Actresses are so perfect for this love story, it’s amazing I give it a 10 It’s really worth more then 10 it’s a beautiful love story please do some more love stories like when my love blooms thank you

Vvvvvvv Aug 01 2020 12:23 am Others may not find this drama as their cup of tea both in storytelling technique used and the plot itself which seemingly normalizes (yes, not glamorize) infidelity but personally, I did not hold back with my morals when I jumped into this drama, and surprisingly, I did not find discomfort in rooting for the leads and hoping for a happy ending for them, be it together or separately. Was I brainwashed into cheering for cheaters? Perhaps. But this drama made me realize that there are two sides of a coin... and that as human as we are, sometimes the day comes when we just know it is time to bring down our walls and accept what is right in front of us. Too bad, in this drama, Jisoo tore down her walls for the first love that she lost, and found as a married man.

I have to admit, the 90s scenes were more captivating, it sent me beams of love radiating from the screen, and I often found myself reveling in Park Jin Young and Jeon So Nee’s chemistry; but the sad undertones of the present characters were realistically relatable too. Supporting characters were really just supporting, in every sense of the word, so do not invest too much because you would barely see them anyway.

I enjoyed the melodramatic tropes used but perhaps seeing it used in each episode threw me off a bit in the second half. It was almost suffocating to not see any silver lining especially for Ji Soo even in ep 14, just 2 eps before its finale. But come to think of it, that’s reality talking, isn’t it? Not everyone gets lucky all the time. Blessing comes in different forms, and in her story, they were through her loving son and the friends and memories she has been keeping in her heart. It may not mean much for others but for her, it was more than enough.

Should I be rewatching this? Yes, but only the clips of the scenes I love. Should I recommend this? Definitely, but not without forewarning people of its downsides.

Overall, the theme of the story is worth a try. It has successfully reimagined a reunion of two people who shared deep love in the past but was made to part. Cinematography was excellent, scoring was satisfactory, and acting was stellar. If you want to fall in love and be sad for love at the same time, then give this drama a go in your watch list.

I also loved the acting of Jin Young, I thought he was outstanding so early in his acting career! Joon So Nee was also excellent for being so young! The younger couple shined as young lovers should! I liked that the FL, Lee Bo Young, had a strong character to stand her ground for so many years even against so many odds. But I really appreciate the writer for such a beautiful love story!

I skipped most of the singing scenes and flashbacks that are way prolonged. It made sense around episode 11-12 but still draggy.

I only view this because of Lee Taesung. So frustrated to find out that he has very minimal role for such a good and versatile actor as he is. I hope he will be given more lead roles in the future. He was superb in horaay for love opposite Lee Bo Young and it got very good rating compared to this drama.

chu Jun 19 2020 10:41 pm it gives you a lot of bittersweet feelings. the world was never revolve around them, and when they meet each other they kinda shared the same perspective and feelings. i know having an affair is wrong, but that's not the main focus of the drama tho. knowing how much jae hyun&ji soo suffered for 25 years, i kinda want them to be happy with each other

I mean are women allowed to cheat and go scot-free and not to be blame , if she does it the marriage is still sacred and if a man does it the marriage is not sacred again... What if the situation is reverse, the husband cheated and the wife kept quiet about it and suddenly she meet her past lover, I hope your point of view will be same ...... Moral values must be learned from reality guided by the wisdom of your parents, teachers, friends, church/religion, school, community. Bottom line is... if the source of your moral values are from some make-believe shows, then its time to seek help.

Believe it or not, people inspire by movies, books, stories. Many crimes inspired by those things. Something wrong is still wrong, even if they make it as an entertainment, comedy, etc. Be careful with what they feed you. It will change your moral compass, once you tolerate, it will penetrate your mind and without you realize it, it will change your conscience too.

He was leaving her before he meet his first love. His wife is still cheating she has no class she begging him back while sleeping with her young lover. No one mention that either way its just a story and I love it. True love does exist. The wife does not want him she wants the image of marriage she prefer younger men.

If I look at it plainly from the point of view of marriage law or the first layer (if I may say it) of marriage relationship, the current relationship between Ji-soo and Jae-Hyun is unlawful or sinful. But what I see is that at the very beginning their love is pure, there is respect and its not just physical attraction. Their love even grows deeper because of what they value and what they believe in life/in humanity. Because of their respective circumstances they were able to sacrifice their happiness at that time and what sustain them to go on living was their love. Eventually they got married move by circumstances not out of love that is why it is difficult to sustain the relationship. I think when at the beginning there is no love (in real sense) in marriage then it is not marriage (in a real sense) at all. If incase this story ends with Ji-soo and Jae-Hyun not living together as couple, their love for each other will last, because such love is beyond space, time, rituals, etc.

What does happen as well is that people get married for the wrong reasons which can then sometimes set up (not always) problems in a marriage. The wife is having a true affair with someone else, and she’s plain wicked. The husband is having a semi affair of longing for his true love through a few hugs and kisses. This is a beautiful story of family interference, of forced ending of love, of recovery, and of mending. Whether realistic in ones mind, it tells us that if right circumstances plays itself out, Love is not lost after all. Great cast in young and older leads, as well as support. Ep. 11 &12 enlightens a lot.

Had it been lee tae-sung as the lead actor rating could have been beyond satisfactory. Best actor awardee and he is only on supporting cast with very minimal role.

Everyday (even every second), I keep thinking of the drama episodes, checking any updates on their news and BTS in YouTube's, online articles, their instagrams and even humming the drama OST. This is scary. I can't control myself. I guess this will be the first and last K drama. To conclude, this drama is good...so good that I want to stop watching K drama (but I will still watch this one until the end.hehe). Nothing wrong with the drama (all too beautiful/perfect for me). Kudos to all the production team and casts. You all did a very good job. Just that I can't lead a normal life because watching it.

ABC May 25 2020 7:36 pm If you believe that JaeHyun would let the ex take Jisoo's son, you don't know a strategic move. He was bluffing. In SK single parent is looked down on, very hard to remarry. They usually leave the kid with the grandparent. He knew the wants the wife, not the kid.

I don't agree with the two-timing, but finally the end of ep 10, it shows why. All the 4 leads are good. Yoo JiTae is so so good. Some would call the drama is slow, but because of the good acting, I enjoy their expressions.

I understand they were buying her cake when the accident happened, but over the years, she should have matured in her understanding of coincidences. (I notice someone always has to take the blame in Kdramas.) Great drama with plenty of blame to go around if that's your thing!

ema May 24 2020 2:16 pm at first, I watched this drama because I ran out of dramas. After watching it, I was so surprised and impressed. I didn't expect this level of greatness! The younger couple "Jinyoung & Sonee" are very talented and cute. Their chemistry is insane. Even though this is my first time watching a drama for sonee but hands down she impressed me so much. Jinyoung's acting is insane too. This man can act with his eyes. The older couple is so similar to the younger one. It's like that the staff of the drama studied every detail of their faces and chose the younger ones carefully. Ji tae & Bo young did a great job too. Moreover, the poetry, songs, set locations are well done. Even though it is a melodrama I didn't get bored at all unlike my past melodramas that I've watched. Thank you for this addictive masterpiece.

Everyone is dirty in this one, but all of the scenes are entertaining---including the flashbacks. I hope none of the typical story lines drag this drama down; let's see something unique for a change. grace May 15 2020 11:54 pm For those who are complaining abt flashbacks, if u look at the poster/ press con/ interviews, u’ll see past Jaehyun and Jisoo are the 2nd leads so no doubt there’ll be flashbacks. Its new and unique approach to kdrama, we’ve rarely watched a drama with younger version as one of the main leads. Secondly, the flashbacks hold the key to the present characters, how Jisoo is living/ talking the way past Jaehyun did/said, the short flashbacks made us connect & understand more. The difference btw past and present made us curious (at least for me) about the reason why they broke up/Jaehyun has changed etc. The flashbacks also balance the drama with sweet and cute romance since the present situation is quite sad and depressing. It’s a melodrama, so the story develops slowly and calmly.

Every scene is enjoyable and heartwarming. The antagonist in this drama is also very good at acting that i kinda hate them but i enjoy their acting.

Don't be too serious lah..What I mean is this drama is so good that you have to watch it. One of the best K drama I should say. If you want flowers and loves come out from heart/head (imagination only..don't be too serious leh), this drama is for you. It even can appear in your dream (because you keep wondering what happen next). That's how good it is. No regret. O no, I can wait for the next episode. Weekend.. faster come.

autumn May 14 2020 3:08 am Those who said the flashbacks are becoming too much and annoying, just for your info, all 4 of them, both the past and present couple are the main leads for this drama, so it IS expected that their share of the screen times is almost similar. This aint a typical drama with flashback as a side story, so know the fact first and manage your expectation because you're the one who is annoying here.

After so long didn't watch K drama which I think no longer interesting, but this drama catch my attention and I get captivate with it even from the first episode. I have to disagree with those commented this drama is slow, annoying or not enjoyable. I think you have to understand the genre of this drama and just enjoy every moment/scene of the drama. Not only to fulfil your own satisfaction as if you are the director/story teller. Yes, they have to follow the audience's interest but I believe this is their masterpiece and efforts. Even if the story is about sadness, that's how the story should go sometime. So, please people...just try to sink deep into the drama.

Mae Joseph May 13 2020 1:54 am This should have been a good drama if there weren't so many flashbacks. In some story flashback is required when necessary. The writer should decide whether to focus the story in their 20s or present! Otherwise it goes nowhere. The viewer will soon loose interest because the story is becoming empty. The production team is still having 10 episodes to go to upgrade the rate of interest.

NKR May 12 2020 11:22 pm The male and female lead characters and their choices are annoying. Their spouses are annoying. The constant flashback scenes to younger years after, pretty much, every spoken word in the present day, are annoying.

This drama is not enjoyable to watch in any way. Every episode is sad and irritating because of the story and the way the drama is filmed. I want to keep watching it but I'm not enjoying it all. A drama should at least be enjoyable to watch. It's not that it's sad and slow, it's simply irritating.

friedtofu May 12 2020 5:30 am On the 5th episode right now and I should say that I'm getting annoyed with all of the flashback scenes... And sometimes the flashback scenes are wayyyy longer than the Ji Tae and Bo Young scenes to the point that it does not hold any value at all... ? I want more of Ji Tae and Bo Young story...

sf May 10 2020 3:11 am In my opinion, they give to much time for their love when they were young. I would want the drama to be focused on their current time, not on the past. Until now I think that everybody realized that they were lovers in the past that's why they should drop that time or slow down a bit.

Their love story really resembles how people in love, its heart fluttering.. They deserve their own story tbh, with all their family intrigue as well. Great acting from Jinyoung & Sonee, i hope they both got more roles and will gain more recognition in Korea & internationally. The adult story on the other hand, it’s a mess, they seem can forget everything if its about the other person while they still have responsibilities to do (e.g their sons). I’ve only been watching til episode 4 but even i pitied Jaehyun’s wife and not resent her. In general i just dont like story about an affairs, but will keep watching for the younger couple..

Jessi May 09 2020 4:38 am Honestly i started watching this because of got7 jinyoung but now that ive seen it, i like it not just because of him but because of the story and all of the other characters. The young versions are so cute thwy make you want to fall in love. The adult version are so pitiful, you can feel the loneliness in them that you just want to root for them that everything will be okay ? i dont condone cheating it's just that they obviously still the love of each other's life. If they are going to pursue the relationship i hope jaehyun would divorce her evil wife first. Because eventho she is evil she does not deserve to get cheated on.

Ok you guys are first loves but now have different lives so have to respect your family first. The lead man wants to help her ok that's fine but trying to get into a relationship with her again when he's married is bad. If both are divorced then it's fine but it's not. I wish the writer had both of them divorced or the spouses passed away then it would have been a good one. The reason I am in a love hate situation is because it's not good for young viewers even though it's only fictional. It affects the minds of young people.

He has become such a great actor and I am proud of him. That savage, noisy parl jinyoung can act so cool i never imagined that. This makes me miss my imaginary love. I really like the flashbacks ❤

On the other hand, he is a strong man who knows how to confront the people who are around him. I'm afraid that she will bring him to her level instead to be vice-versa.
