One of Korea's top actresses has her son kidnapped. She struggles to carry out a mission on a live reality show following the kidnapper's demands.

Notes

"Wanted" takes over the Wednesday & Thursday 22:00 time slot previously occupied by "Entertainer" and followed by "Jealousy Incarnate" on August 24, 2016.
Actress Kim Hyun-Joo and actor Jin Goo were first offered the lead roles, but declined.
First script reading took place May 21, 2016 at SBS Ilsan Production Studios in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.
Episodes 15 and 16 will not air on August 10th and August 11th, 2016 and instead air August 17th and 18th, 2016. SBS will air the Summer Olympics instead.

Gdik Nov 04 2017 12:27 pm Im still watching this. I read too much comments. Im still confused. The transition from one event to the other seems weird but fast paced. It's like csi but with the media. Im still at ep 5. Why air murders, the perpetrator wants fame? Improve ratings? Or cover up? And the cop just trespasses either the crime scene or any property to get leads and he's not reprimanded. No gloves either. Not a fan of the story but ill give it a chance. They got ip addresses bu then no leads at all. They got a lead on kids as a common thing but they didnt look for common locations like hospital or school. And too much suspects.

gasenadi Jan 25 2017 6:33 pm Underrated without a doubt. This drama keeps you on the edge of your seat! Kudos to the writer, first of all, on a masterful debut. Hopefully, we'll see more of Han Ji-Wan's work in the future. Of PD-nim, I've only seen two previous dramas. Now I will definitely check out ALL his dramas. And of course, magnificent acting on the part of all the cast. A true thriller.

I do not know why or what to do have a reason, but I'm glad it did, because, actress Kim A-Joong and actor Ji Hyun-Woo were much better. For this dtrama were both great benefit. It was a pleasure to watch how their roles perfectly portrayed and how their characters got a real human dimension. Thank you to all creators and actors and their two particularly that I umožnili.pri watching this drama such an extraordinary experience. Thank you with all my heart.

Miro Aug 26 2016 3:58 pm I really do not understand why this drama had such low ratings. This was linked to a problem? It was really well prepared. Great performances of all actors. So far I have not seen play Kim A-Joong, but in this drama was great and it became my favorite actress. Of course, I started watching the drama, especially for my favorite of Ji Hyun-Woo, who as always did a perfect performance. I was cheering the fact that Ji Hyun-Woo and Kim A-Joong emotionally closer together :). As someone has already mentioned here, it would be good if this drama had also continued (in which the cast). Space for that is certainly created, as was evident from the end ... I big fan of for this.

I read somewhere that "the screenwriter Han Ji Wan doesn't have any prior credits to his credit". Well he didn't need any, this was the best debut someone could've had! Congratulations, I look forward to see where else you will take us, the viewers, in the future! The cast was amazing, everybody fits perfectly in the role. It is a smart drama, no unnecessary things included. In an ocean of stupid scripts this is indeed a gem! Thank you all for bringing it to me, to us!

Kim A-Joong is one of the best Korean actress there is, I have watched most of her movies and dramas and she did great! Now she is paired with Ji Hyun-Woo, and with the supporting cast of Uhm Tae-Woong, Park Hae-Joon, Lee Moon-Sik, Park Hyo-Joo, Jun Hyo-Seong, Shin Jae-Ha, Kim Byung-Ok and Jo Min-Joon (",) I think this is one blast drama

whitewolf Aug 04 2016 2:26 am why didn't the apprentice cop fire his gun even as a warning shot to the SG Group's henchmen? he could have prevented Lee Ji-Eun from being taken and be able to protect himself. Jung Hye In should ask Choi Joon-Goo to take Hyun Woo somewhere SG Group can't find them, of the two Hyun Woo would be safer with Joon-Goo than being found by SG Group. They could take Hyun Woo since he is the son of the deceased SG Group heir and might use Hyun Woo to pressure Hye-In to retract her revelations on the show. We'll have to see what will happen next.

whitewolf Jul 28 2016 8:01 am I guess we can assume that SG Group or Hye-In's late husband's brother is behind the incident 7years ago and probably Joon-Goo or Woo-Shin is behind Hyun Woo's kidnapping. It would be too obvious if Dong-Wook ends up as the kidnapper and based on Na Soo Hyun & the kidnapper's conversation over the phone, the kidnapper wants to end things already since things have gotten out of hand like the killings & danger brought to innocent people. Dong-Wook wants to continue and is more concerned about the show as compared to Joon-Goo & Woo-Shin. Let's hope the writer surprises us with an interesting and acceptable ending.

I'm hoping it does not let me down like God's Gift, which in my opinion had one of the most unsatisfying endings that I have ever seen in a kdrama. If Wanted has a great ending like I Hear Your Voice, then this to me is the sleeper of 2016.

This drama is completely different.........i totally love this drama, each episode ends with suspense......

I'm going to have nightmares about being buried alive. I'm glad they rescued Park Bo Yeon. "Wanted" is getting spookier with each episode.

whitewolf Jul 16 2016 6:19 pm I guess as a viewer the difficult part is to remember all the names & faces of those involved from the first case up to present when the detectives try to put things in chronological order & find connections among them, who got killed by who and why. This drama triggers your ability to think & digest every info fed while trying to figure out the real kidnapper and if he/she is part of the crew or someone else. I just hope it doesn't end up w/ Jung Hye In being the brains in all this, that's really messed up using her son for selfish motives.

And what's up with people hating on the main lead actress? I haven't found not one flaw in her acting so far. Anyways, this drama's storyline is very complex and exciting, so keep up the good work!

bmore Jul 15 2016 12:29 am Amazing drama. Very complex and suspenseful. An adult drama for adults who don't mind having to work a little to understand or figure out what is going on. It's not the end game, it's the long, complex chain of events that is getting us there that is so fascinating in this show. It's some great, fun writing to come up with all these different scenarios, give us pieces of them, not lose track of the pieces, pull all of them together, and give us an answer in the end. Still, through it all, like the mom and those who are not losing sight of the real goal, there is that child. How badly damaged is that poor boy going to be? He could be the subject of his own drama in about 10 years...majorly messed up.

plsherratt Jul 08 2016 7:02 pm I started watching this today because nothing else to watch till tomorrow. Oh my goodness! Got hooked...watched six episodes in bulk! What? Yeah....ha! This show is riveting. The only downside now is that I have to wait for the next episodes!!! Blurg. Really like all the actors in this drama and heck if they aren't doing a really good job cause they got me hooked. Plus the writing is smart for a kdrama...this show and Beautiful Mind. Nicely done!

As they proceed into the interior, a song begins playing, low at first, but gaining volume until they discover what they were sent to find. Can someone please tell me the name of that song and the artist. It is really beautiful. Thanks.

szzie Jul 08 2016 6:27 am Lmao it's not that horrible that it'll get a 65. Many stories are similar in theme. I don't see why that's a huge problem except if this plagiarize another show to a tee. It's decent at least; while the acting wasn't that superb, it wasn't unwatchable either. Smh.

She is very pretty, and I believe she has distinguished herself in a minor role [but perhaps it is not so minor].

Sia Jul 03 2016 5:38 pm I noticed that at least once a year, SBS will produce at least one thriller drama in its popular timeslot; I Can Hear Your Voice, God's Gift-14 Days, Achiara Secret and now Wanted. This is actually a very good drama though i find it a little bit disturbed with Kim Ah Joong's acting. Something off with her acting in here but i like her in other dramas so i won't criticize her much further. So far so good and i can't wait for the upcoming episodes:)

this show is similar to tv shows like Scream, Pretty Little Liars, or God's Gift 14 days. there isnt any new story plot excitement that other shows have not used.

I love the first episode, especially Jung Hye-in's eerie dream in her limo, just before she found out that Hyun-woo had disappeared. Very disorienting. I also especially love the scene where Hye-in drives into her garage and catches the "courier" stuffing that "script" into her mailbox. The technique, using the rain to amplify the suspense, is exquisite. Episode 2 is awesome. Maximum impact. It's like watching metalworking artists fashion hot steel into some exciting new thing. Bravo!

Somewhere between episodes 5 and 7, people who haven't yet started watching "Wanted" are going to realize that they are missing a really great thriller. If you switch at the midpoint, you are going to have to rely on a cheesy "recap site" to help you catch up with the story. Speaking from experience, those recaps are never as enjoyable or illuminating as simply watching the show from the beginning. If you haven't yet begun watching "Wanted", you really should, or you will probably regret it later. I'm giving you solid advice. It's a good show that won't let you down. Please try it.

Yes first episode very interesting but look, how come the detective pushed the mother away when she was running towards the car as he only saw the back of the person(not sure whether alive or dead as the espisode ends here to keep audience in suspense) lying inside the car hoot, does not make sense(production team, caught you, hey hey)

Flora May 31 2016 1:20 am Can't wait!!!! I love both of the leading actors. Kim A Joong was phenomenal in 200 Pounds of Beauty and since then i've become her avid fan and Uhm Tae Woong is also good. I think i saw him for the first time in this Russerruct... I ain't remember how to spell it but it was actually very nice and suspenseful. His acting is beliavable. What i live about this timeslot of SBS drama slot is that the dramas aired are super good and on top of that led by top class actors. Maybe not all of them but mostly of course though some dramas aren't that amazing(Jekyl Hyde & I and currently-aired Entertainer) but i'll still be sticking to this timeslot like until the time when i feel like " ok that's it i'm so done with kdramas:)". Wanted i'm waiting for youuu
