At the age of 8, Park Joo-Hyeong went to Italy after he was adopted. He is now an adult and has the name of Vincenzo Cassano (Song Joong-Ki). He is a lawyer, who works for the Mafia as a consigliere. Because of a war between mafia groups, he flees to South Korea. In South Korea, he gets involved with Lawyer Hong Cha-Young (Jeon Yeo-Bin). She is the type of attorney who will do anything to win a case. Vincenzo Cassano falls in love with her. He also achieves social justice by his own way.

K Feb 11 2023 6:34 pm Actually I have watched the first episode of this drama 2 years ago while it was airing and my first impression was a bit Off.That’s why I didn’t finish watching it. But after 2 years tried watching it again from episode 2 and I was addicted watching it. There’s a lot of genre involve like thriller, romance and comedy. I read comments about Jeon Yeo Bin being annoying but I don’t think so. At first few episodes she was, but if you watch at the latter episodes she’s good in acting I think. She and SJK has good chemistry! The selection of casts especially in the plaza is superb, and the villains as well. Good job writers and director of this drama! I’m watching episode 18 now and already hoping for Season 2!!!

Especially, Joonwoo and Myunghee. Oh my gosh. At first, when Joonwoo was still innocent in my eyes, I don't want him to turn into a bad guy. But I was spoiled so I knew he was one of the antagonists. And oh, I just wanna say I was satisfied by how Vincenzo k1lled them. Like wow deserved xD

Especially the charm, style, personality and glaze of Vincenzo. I am happy that (Song Joong-Ki) Vincenzo and I share the same birth date.It was worth watching!! It was a perfect combination of thiller and comedy. I can watch this drama over and over again. I am eagerly waiting for season 2 with same cast!!!! Please!!!!!!

I can't help myself but to compare the crime(s) to the ones happen in Vincenzo and sorry not sorry I have to say that all become so "crappy" compared to Vincenzo :'D Perhaps the fact that Vincenzo Cassano was placed as a pawn from outside the system made the criminal intrigue fresher and grander. Although the best "insider pawns" crimes drama that could match Vincenzo is only The Fiery Priest in my opinion. The crimes there is top tier too. It's just, refer to what I said above, the priest is inside the system so if anything happens it could affects the 'good side' as much and it makes the watching experience is less satisfying.

Mort May 18 2022 10:27 am A!!! 10 out of 10. I have watched it twice already and will probably Mazingwatch it again!! Perfect cast!!! All of the actors fit their characters perfectly! I loved them All. The story is superb with just the right humorous moments as well as touching moments,, suspense and action. Loved the fight scenes. Especially Song Joong-Ki's bad ass! Choi Young-Joon and all of the Geumga Plaza fight scenes were favorites as well. Really Superb!! I know there won't be one. But would Love to see a Season 2. Jeon Yeo-Bin rocked her character as well. You could feel the real chemistry between all the actors. Can't wait to see what they all do next! Real depth and fun all in one!!

I can't be carefree because I keep waiting for big troubles to happen, I'm restless because I know the protagonists can't always win, I more or less understand what kind of rollercoaster rails I face while watching this kind of story, been there done that. But thanks to those experiences I become more and always prepared to enjoy those ups and downs! I also become more unbothered when troubles happen. I don't blame the people criticizing the nature of the genre. Indeed it might be disappointing if they had originally expected for something on a more serious note. This is why I said watching The Fiery Priest before this is both blessing and curse.

I saw Vincenzo twice and I'm getting ready for another rerun! And even though there is little chance, I believe we will see Vincenzo 2! It has a lot potential to be a top tier drama but fell apart due to lame writing and bad script. The female lead is a bit over the top and her character get overshadowed by Vincenzo and become less important towards the ending just to fit the bill as his love interest. Besides, I found Song joong ki looks too pretty and slender as a mafia man and he even looks prettier than the heroin lol??..how can that be possible..sometimes his face looks like a baby. However, I still able to finished this drama in just one go because it ain't that bad and still have some interesting scenes to look at.

I admit during the first 2 episodes i was hesitating to continue this series because it is so unusual. But once you get going, you will see it is so worthwile to watch. The storyline is really good, a little bit of everything, all the characters performed top from the leads to the supporting cast, absolutely great acting and i really had good laughs too. I enjoyed it a lot and to me definitely a 10/10 So ignore the negativity and just watch it.

a typical film fan Dec 07 2021 12:59 am I came in for the noir look in the poster, came out thinking that I'm tired of the cringe for the non-sense scriptwriting. Let's see, my face had been shown all over the news, but I can pretend as a shaman and a couple, just so the scriptwriter could add the situation they want.

This is what baffle me with the script. They put in the most ridiculous situation just to get what they want (remind me on Endgame, stupid script just to kill off characters they want, while minimising the impact of Captain Marvel just to glorify women superheroes which is very funny since it's very similar in USA to deny the strongest women to be in power because there already bunch of womens as sideshow instead LOL) . Look at the scene how they want to kill off Han Seo character. Like, you want me to believe Consigliere rather go untie his lover first when his enemy struggling for gun with the one he thought as brother? That's a bit ridiculous wasn't it? You always go help the grabbing the gun, not untie and turn your back to your enemy. Seriously, does this even make sense? Hey look here my enemy, my back is free to shoot at. Have a go, my enemy.

That being said, the visual is so so. I wanted the director to borrow some shots from Italian masters like Antonioni, Fellini and the likes. The vibe this drama give doesn't really feel noir like, just a mass produce commercial one. What a miss opportunity for the director. Hard to find a competent visual director in the drama nowadays. Maybe I should give My Name a try, since I love his visual in Bittersweet Life drama. If you prefer to watch highly visual one, let's try that instead. But if you like Song Joong Ki looking pretty in the drama, watch this instead. I'm not judging, people should like what they like.

Quasiii Nov 20 2021 9:42 pm I just finished watching all 20 eps of Vincenzo and enjoyed itttt. I can see why it had its hype. I went into it knowing just the basic gist of it, with the mafia etc… I know some ppl say that the mafia part doesn’t really play out but I think that if they went too into the mafia part with Vincenzo just killing his enemies the mafia way… then that would be Boringgg! I especially liked the Geumga Plaza crew and when the thugs became part of the Geumga crew as well lol. The characters were all different and shined in their own ways. I love the comedic take, it’s not too dark and has a good mixture of everything. Although the romance, didn’t have that much, It was a perfect amount of romance for a crime drama. Their chemistry was quite cute as well. Cha young’s character was kind of over the top in the beginning but I grew to like her. Everyone’s acting was good as well, Han Seok’s change between Joon Woo was great, they seemed like 2 different ppl. Plot wise: I liked how they made the Babel situation involve with the Gold (guillotine file) hahahah. I thought the beginning was a good buildup, although a bit slow, I was still interested. Ending was a bit slow and I wanted the whole Geumga Plaza to be have a reunion with Vincenzo at the end. Also, I was hoping that he had escaped the country through hot air balloon lolll. Definitely would recommend to others.

glydavie Nov 01 2021 9:13 am A perfect blend of all emotions into one drama. They didn't make it pure wicked but still remained as the highlight of the whole thing, playful revenge! I agree that the first half episodes are kinda boring but will eventually get better after that so don't give up watching. Love story side is shorter than comedic scenes so don't expect too much.

About the superstitious CEO of Daechang Daily at the last quarter of the drama....so far Vincenzo and lead gal Cha Young has been on TV during their court sessions surrounded by so many journalists being interviewed and snapped photos of them countlessly, so by right he should have know who is Vincenzo and Cha Young. I mean they are so famous/infamous among the group of big bad villains and also, as a CEO of a media company he should know how they look like...so it's difficult to think that Vincenzo/CY can impersonated as a shaman and he cannot even recognized them and they could successfully manipulated him to go against Babel. They should have got one of the low-profile plaza tenants there to impersonate as the shaman.

It is like a challenge to him to win them especially Vincenzo. Imho, he is a psychopath who enjoy this 'game' and enjoy killing people (he even murdered his own father!)

Plus the villain seems to admire/have a sort of affection for the lead gal ! He was kinda jealous when he sees lead couple hanging out together and investigating the cases against him ! He even lured the lead gal away from Vincenzo when he ordered his killers to kill Vincenzo.

I like the teamwork of the plaza people with our lead guy and lead gal....the main villain is not bad (I think this is his first role as a psychotic villain???)

KST Sep 29 2021 1:04 pm I just finished watching vincenzo. Actually I watched this because of song joong ki. However It took about many hours (episodes )for me to getting used to this series. The first half of the series was a bit boring and I even thought to give up this series but I continued watching as SJk is there. However when watch it about 6episodes the series become very interesting with an aamazing plot story. This series is full of action,comedy,thrillerand crimes but it would be more nice if romance too was there than this a little more. Anyway the acting was superb. As usual Joon ki act very well. I saw another phase of his acting as a bit rude lawyer who struggle to make justice. This was my first time watching a drama of jeon yeo bin. However her acting was averagely good. And it was really uncredible to watch ok taecyeon as a villian here because he has such a cute appearance. I think he did his job well good here as a cruel boss of Babel who is disguised as a good man. Anyway all the actors have acted very well. The only thing I really annoyed was the first half of the drama is a bit noisy (shikkaro) LOL! With overacting for a certain extent. Anyway if you like crime thrillers with suspence and curiosity just give this a chance! Anyway if you looking for a romance this may not interesting for you!!! Saranghae !!!Miss you cassanova family!!!

Vincenzo doesn't seem like a "mafia" member anymore, the lead actress is waaaay over the top, and everybody else just makes me wonder what the heck is going on. The action scenes are pretty cool, but if I have to go through more of this "comedy", I don't think it's worth it.

Nocastus Sep 14 2021 6:32 am I enjoyed this a lot, just like I did The Fiery Priest and The Good Manager. I like this style of writing, the comedy drama, and I’m very happy to overlook the stretches of logic and huge suspension of disbelief required: to me they’re all pert of the fun.

But I do think it could have been edited to be a little faster paced, 20 episodes of 1h20m is a lot of run time, and I think most episodes could have lost five or ten minutes without compromising the narrative or the characterisations. Not a deal breaker, but that makes it 4 1/2 out of 5 for me, while I’d give The Fiery Priest full marks.

It took me quite some time to even finish an episode and decided to quit watching altogether. I personally love Song Joong-Ki, what with him being a member of Running Man ages ago...but man, did this story boring the heck out of me. If you like these sorts of genres, I would suggest you head over and watch western series (they make the best off this kind of genre). Just my two cents.

If you make your main character a mafia consigliere, then let him BE a mafia consigliere. After the first episode, the writer took away Vincenzo's teeth. He doesn't do anything "mafia-like" other than porcupine a pillow. A pillow? The antagonists put Vincenzo in the hospital and murdered someone close to him; how is that an "eye for an eye"?! Not to mention the through-plot with the gold. Why put it in a building accessible to the public and not on private property? How is that slick? (He could've bought the house from Parasite; it had a hidden bunker no one knew about for years!) Also, why kill everyone who knew about the secret if Vincenzo was just going to blab about it to ol girl? Huh? Also, if someone did to my family what Choi MyungHee did to Hong ChaYoung, I wouldn't be cracking jokes and dancing around like an idiot. I know this drama was supposed to be a "dark comedy," but the "crime drama" part really suffers from its slap-stick style; it's hard to maintain the suspension of disbelief.

Not a fan Aug 22 2021 5:14 pm I’m not sure I understand the hype of this drama, perhaps b/c of SJK. I suppose take this for what it’s worth, just pure entertainment purpose as there are way too many unrealistic scenarios being used here, e.g, the court room scenes, the mafia linkage, etc. The female lead character is off. I’m not sure if it’s the acting or the character itself but I just could not take it. It dragged on and on. This could have stopped at 16 eps or shorter. Sure there are many entertaining factors such as the tenants and the action scenes but other than that I really couldn’t get the hype.

Because he is Vincenzo, I was able to cry and laugh at this unfamiliar black comedy. Convincing viewers of the character and direction of the drama and making them enjoy it is the power of a star.

I totally enjoyed the comedic scenes and the references to other dramas. The female lead is also a mature woman for me because of how she handled her love life. She always thinks of SJK more than herself, is very patient and not a damsel in distress who always needs saving. She can stand up for herself and not a toxic person unlike other female leads.

I believe SJK can do better than what the storyline portrayed.The plot should have been much more badass than this but it's fine since it was portrayed by a good actor.... The Mafia plot doesn't really fit kdrama I think, but since this is a first time... its okay then. Plus...this movie is the new craze in Nigeria. This movie was recommended to me by about like five friends who don't watch Kdramas at all..so I think Vincenzo is worth watching.I can't help adding this... I keep imagining Ji Chang Wool as Vincenzo instead of SJK.I just can't help fantasizing about that.

I expected it to have good scriptwriting since they casted famous actors for the show, but was disappointed nonetheless. I get why many people liked the show maybe because SJK is a hallyu star so of course who wouldn’t simp over his character or maybe this is their only baseline for “good”. But I resonate more with the comments of those who also found the show quite underwhelming.

There are a lot of 2021 kdramas better than Vincenzo but are very underrated since the main leads aren’t mainstream. Don’t be afraid to watch dramas that you haven’t heard of or isn’t as famous because those dramas are most likely the good ones.

marina Jul 06 2021 9:08 am Great storyline, great acting and a great series, but the mafia storyline just doesn't make sense once you've watched the godfather...he consigliere is actually really powerful in the mafia, always avoids law enforcements (lawyers, police) and should be careful with their phone because they're being watched and recorded wherever they go esp if that person is the right-hand man to the boss! so it doesn't make sense that Vincenzo becomes a lawyer AND has a smartphone AND fights his enemies alone when he really should have had men or "soldiers" in the mafia, around him to protect his identity and drive him around to places because of his power. I think this drama would've been more interesting if his character is the real boss of the storyline who instructs and controls his "soldiers" to carry out his revenge and appear at the end to show how powerful he really is as a mob, not as a normal citizen. the writers should really research into this stuff before producing the series.

Thanks to NaPD channel, the Game Caterers one. They have a Vincenzo special so i came here to read the synopsis but then the trailer got me curious so i just try to watch the first episode but Boom i got hooked!!! It's such a wonderful roller coaster ride!! And thanks god they don't highlight the romance so i'm up for it. Maybe yes nmwe can predict how the story will lead, but they always put some twist here and there. The comical part is hilarious, the characters are out of the box and everyone fit the role perfectly. My fav character is An-gun!!! I got super excited everytime he come on screen lol he completely stole the show (at least for me ;D) and tbh i'm staying til the end for him. ++ Taecyeon really prove himself as a good actor. Jeon Yeobin portrayed the character perfectly, no wonder she got sooo many offer after this work. +++ Agree with some comment, this show can finish in 16eps bcs i do feel some not really needed scene here and there but yeah it still great overall.

I had quit penthouse because it was making me so angry and I felt that this show would have the same affect on me. Nyork Jun 10 2021 1:46 am I have to agree with @Jang Jang. The main characters did feel a bit one-dimensional also because of their thick plot armor that they just became boring and predictable.

They did have the occasional loses but it still fell flat for me as did with my friends who also watched the show. Although, I really did like the way they wrote Jang Hanseok’s character because you just can’t help but to hate his character, yet still love him because of his goofy and crazy side. The duality of his character is very captivating thanks also to the amazing portrayal of Taecyon.

Nonetheless, the show was still entertaining and I do agree with @Simping for Jang Hanseok that the show could’ve wrapped everything up with just 16 episodes. I do think that there were a lot of unnecessary filler scenes which I guess contributed to the show reaching to 20 episodes.

I really wished they could’ve made use of the extra screen time to explore more on Vincenzo’s history from an orphan to becoming a prolific consiglieri. Also, Hong Chayoung’s relationship with her dad and their fallout could’ve given her depth as a character if only they gave more screen time for that as well. I think that as what @Anne says that the general theme is, touching more on Vincenzo’s and Chayoung’s development into being devils themselves would’ve been interesting and could’ve given more justice to the theme.

Getting the gold without a trace and without unnecessary violence > Getting the building back and moving the tenants > Revenge on Babel for killing HYC > Killing the boss > Killing the REAL boss > Defeating Babel for and with Chayoung, someone he didn't want to leave fighting the uncertain war alone even if he does kill the real boss. Thus, leading to them defeating Babel and killing them in the end.

It was also established early on that he didn't kill out of the blue, unlike Paolo who would do anything that he wants. Vincenzo is a bad person but he has reason. That's why he doesn't just kill people in Korea as people expect him to.

It was also established early on that big corporations, government, etc., are just like mafias. I don't understand why people don't feel that much hatred for Babel and Wusang when they're literally modern day villains. The company's operations itself is evil (e.g., employee treatment, narcotics to be sold to the general public, tax evasion, fake news, etc.). Don't expect villainous acts as if you're watching a Marvel film.

Tbh, V is not as perfect as people paint him. His intelligence was accompanied by good connections, relevant experience, wealth, and luck, and about connections and luck, those are with the help of his allies (e.g., Chayoung, Mr. Ahn, Mr. Cho, etc.). That's why it's entertaining and satisfying to see Babel and Wusang lose. They're used to stepping on people lower than their level, but when someone who initially didn't bother with them comes in the picture, their "old-fashioned" methods didn't work. Because they're not used to it. But they still have pride and they still think they're sparing partners.

Also, both sides are obviously prideful as both sides underestimated each other.

For example when they tried to deceive the residents to go to a trip and before even the bus is out of sight him and YJ just frantically ran to back to the building like excited little kids without even thinking that it could raise suspicion (which it did haha).

Leny Halim Jun 07 2021 8:07 am @commenter i guess he couldn't really do many cruel things like he used to do in Italy because he was in a foreign country, so he needed to lay low, remember, his first priority to come to korea was to retrieve those gold. but then in later episodes, he did kill & hurt people eventually, so i don't think he looked amateur but, that he was hesitating to do the killings at first because he wanted to give chances for these people to feel remorseful, but in fact they didn't, so he just had to do what he had to do in the end, being cruel and finished them all. that for me, already enough.

He was considered a fearsome mafia in Europe but some of his actions and strategy in Korea is so opposite that he looks like an amateur.

Some may not like it because Hanseo died, but as expected most writers/in kdrama they will not let the story has like "Happy ending" for them its kinda boring and not thrill if they will not put some dramatic scenes there Some may not like it about the loveteam and how short their moments, but I believe this Drama really focuses on the Main Character which is Vincenzo and I also truly believe they had a Great Chemistry but I have seen that there are people dont like their chemistry, I think you are so used to really like Song-Song Couple.

But the Overall, its very Good, there is no dull/boring scene, It makes youe heart beat so fast and I really love every characters in there especially Vincenzo those expresssions are very LIT.

But the overall theme that torture is ok if the bad guys are really bad and vengeance solves everything is very troubling. The humor and acting kept me going with the totally implausible plot. There is no doubt it is entertaining but I hate the message and the torture scenes.

Everything about this show is perfect except for the last episode where writer killed Han Seo right in front of Vincenzo who despite being a badass evil mafia guy, best in shooting, best in fighting and always alert of the coming situation, could not even stand up and fight only one guy to save the man he called his brother. Han Seo did so much to save his life yet Vincenzo did nothing when it came to save Han Seo. He was just sitting there with the girl who was just shot on shoulder, wayching him die and doing nothing. Although, Han Seo could've died in a different way, but the scenario writer had created to kill him seemed forced and did not make any sense. They made Vincenzo so weak at that moment which was so out of his character as previously portrayed by the writer. I will rate it 8/10 for that.

Still the best action drama after The K2 and Healer. You will not regret watching it.

But some things really just comes out of nowhere (spoilers: like tailor guy suddenly becomes scissors man, piano girl suddenly becomes a hacker, etc.). The last episode was suddenly really sickening though, even if they did have it coming. That’s like another random thing with this series. You get serious, serious, silly, silly, serious, silly, and then just plunge into gruesome. Well, you know... Vincenzo mafia guy. That was the whole theme of this series. It wasn’t about redemption, and definitely not about any justice in the way the world sees it.

Spoilers: Man, that part where Cha-Young mimics Ms Choi’s dancing was so hilarious! They mimicked her again while doing that masked online TV broadcast, and when ms Choi followed up the next day yelling on the phone that she doesn’t dance like that, it just had me rolling on the floor! Lmao! It was so eerie to see her dancing shadow though when people were killed. And the end... ew. When Vincenzo said he’ll let her dance all she wants, I couldn’t help but think about that fairy tale (Snow White maybe?), where evil queen was punished by being forced to dance in burning steel shoes until she dropped dead. Then the next scene was pretty much close to that, except now I’ll never be able to listen to Zumba music again :(. Ew. Lol.

the music soundtrack for this series is out of this world! Not to mention that it is the first kdrama i've watched that did not have a single Koream soundtrack but still so epic and awesome.

Cinematography is visually stunning!

there are some part ofc that was a bit over the top or not really needed but all in all, I really enjoy the series and got me to fall in love with SJK ever harder than before!

atheana May 23 2021 10:17 am i loveeeee this drama! the storyline is so good and i love how this drama can be serious yet still manage to have some funny scenes. i also love the slow burn romance between Vincenzo (Song Joong Ki) and Hong Cha Young (Jeon Yeo Been), their chemistry is so good. All people in Geumga Plaza also did a great job! I love how the writer gave each of them an important character in this drama and leaves no one behind. I really like their teamwork and solidarity to help Vincenzo and HCY to fight Babel. Jang Han Seo (Kwak Dong Yeon) had the best character development, so sad too see how his life ended tragically and honestly i'm kinda disappointed bc they didn't gave us his funeral scene or at least something to honor him. Taecyeon's (Jang Han Seok) acting is also amazing, he nailed the character, the same thing goes to Kim Yeo Jin (Choi Myung Hee), she really made me hate her character with my whole heart hahaha...

Solid 10 for this drama! Shoutout to all the cast and crews, you guys did a great and amazing job! I highly recommend this drama, trust me u won't regret watching this :)

Sofa May 23 2021 4:04 am Some say that nothing about this drama is realistic. Others say that the hype is exaggerated. In my case, it is hand down the best drama I’ve seen. I’m amazed at the many details they put into this drama. The small facial ticks of Joon-Woo when he gets angry, the little smirk Vincenzo gives his foes when he’s about to make his surprise move, and Cha-Young’s little confidence boost when she’s in a dangerous situation. My favourite scenes are those where Vincenzo breaks character, in which he feels uncomfortable. You clearly see our beloved consigliere fighting an internal battle, and thinking about a way to end this circus show. But when he is about to make a move on his ‘chessboard’, there is no sign of that man.

I have no bad words about this drama. It isn’t your typical drama about romance and self-discovery in which most of time you can usually predict the outcome. No, it’s filled with well-thoughted out unpredictable plots twists. Like the characters, you are filled with adrenaline and emotions. Sitting in the edge of the couch, you are literally screaming at your screen, applauding their victories and (maybe) crying when something bad happens.

I recommend watching this drama!

The female character initially very overeacting but later improved. The story is a bit boring but what make it interesting, the good guys always win against the bad guys. Which is the opposite the usual story line. I just feel that han seo doesnt have to die and maybe can shorten the story a bit. Overall, fair. Not very good but not bad.

Plot held together most of the time. I think the leads were wrongly cast. Song Joon Ki just too girly and weak to be a mafioso and the girl, Jeon Yoo Bin needs more acting experience. I suppose they were put in to appeal to the teenagers. Mr Lam good.

The Casanova family characters brilliant and so funny. Can’t say enough about them, so well conceived and written. Ms Choi good. I thought a plot failure was when the younger brother died, he should have got redemption and one of the family died, Mr Lee maybe. Someone had to die, thought it was a wrong choice. 
Very funny. Nearly excellent just with the above few suggestions. I didn’t fast forward any of it, unusual for me, but went off the Vincenzo character in the last episode.

From the ridiculousness of La Commedia dell'arte (Italian Slapstick Comedy; which was undeniably appropriate for Vincenzo’s background) to the cold bone-chilling and straightforward seriousness of an Italian vendetta (Korean style). A very well executed production.

Song Joong Ki and Kwak Dong Yeon nailed their respective roles to a T.

Among all of Song Joong Ki’s performances... This was my favorite. Indeed, a performance worthy of “The Godfather” film series.

I mean the show probably wasted every single episode to make the Geumga Plaza funny but it isn't.The romance is really not needed in the situation, It is literally a waste of time, both the main lead doesn't have chemistry and does the female lead need to be a woman that need help from Vicenzo every single time?

I'm quite dissapointed as the writer last drama was really good. It has the same vibe with Vicenzo. Anybody that has/ hasn't seen Vicenzo should give The Fiery Priest a try, It's doesn't have romantic scene but it's extremely funny.

I mean if he is really dead then they did him dirty, no funeral or at least a grave. And in last ep, the scene where Cha-young is heading towards the vineyard, in the radio it says that Vincenzo abducted Ms. Choi and Chairman Jang, idk if the subtitles are misleading and my hearing is not that good but it just says Chairman Jang. Idk my theory is still not clear but that's the idea. Anyway, congratulations to everyone involved in making this show. It is a masterpiece!

From the woman who played Choi Myung-hee being so perfect and Mr. Han being the funniest character in the show to the Jang brothers, a part of me really wants a spin off with just these four as the lead. Or if they could all act again in another series together, I'd be happy.

Didn't care much for the romance as it was borderline cliche had it not been obscure for most of the show. The ending would have probably been different too had romance not been important.

Kwak Dong-yeon and Ok Taec-yeon stole the show with their characters. Han-seok was just such a unique character and Taec played him so well, I ended up wishing he won over Vincenzo just to see more of him. Han-seo (played by Kwak Dong-yeon) had the best character development in the entire series and I can't wait to see him in future lead roles. I literally go back just to watch their scenes again. I think the show makes you pay more attention to geumga plaza folks and vincenzo but really, without Taec and Dong-yeon's character, I would not watch a new season. Great show overall.

Jan May 08 2021 5:32 am Literally speechless. I just finished the last episode and I feel like I just got off a crazy rollercoaster. This kdrama grabs all your attention and makes you so invested in it. I already knew I was going to be sucked into this show so I purposely waited until all the episodes were out, and boy am I glad I made that decision. I would've died from all the anticipation to figure out what happens next if I watched it while it was still airing.

Even now, I'm having a hard time processing it's over because I enjoyed it so much. It has all the genres combined into a beautiful masterpiece of a show called Vincenzo. The chemistry, the plot, the script, everything was just wow. I'm already feeling the post great kdrama emptiness :') I applaud all the cast and crew for their amazing work and am definitely going to be watching their future works.

I started vincenzo when it first came out and I found it so weird how everyone was overacting so much and the jokes were so stupid to me. I also did not understand what was going on with the plot at all. So i dropped it. However, my friend asked me to watch it again since she really really loves it and i gave it another try, and i just want to say that dropping this show was the dumbest decision i have ever done. After the second/third episode, the plot becomes so much clearer, and the overacting definitely goes down, and i grew so attached to all the characters in vincenzo, and at one point it feels like the whole cast’s chemistry is so good they’re not even acting. a hot villain is a bonus too!! ;) i just can’t explain how good this show is, you NEED to watch it!! as a long-term kdrama watcher, this is definitely top 10 for me. i just love it so much :( <3

I have to admit I didnt recognized Jeon Yeo Bin to be the female lead especially during the first 3 episodes And I've started to watch this not reading the synopsis/plot but because Song Joong Ki was the male lead.

But to my surprise starting episode 4 I started to like her. And not just like but I want and long to see her in every episodes. I was saddened knowing in the last few episodes she got lesser screentime. I enjoyed her acting so much.

I remembered JYB said Taecyeon is like a vitamin. Well for me she is that vitamin. I cant help but smile watching all her scenes. And it feels like she's a really good person. Another thing I like about her is the way she talks to the Geumga Plaza tenants. She really listen to them very well, she smiles with them, not the arrogant I dont care what your saying I have my own script.

And now that I've watched ep 1 again, I can't help but to watched closely all her scenes. It feels like JYB grew on me. And I dont find her annoying in the first and the rest of the episodes.

Why I just found JYB just now? Where am I ? I have my own biases for female actresses, but it's the first time I found someone I will never grow tired watching. Will be looking forward to your next Project unnie.

Ps. It would be great to have a drama with Taecyeon as male lead. ?

His acting is surprisingly good and the whole cast has good chemistry, the storyline is quite impressive. Highly recommended for those who are still thinking about whether worth watching or not, at first you will find the female lead is overacting just bear for few episodes, she is adorable later on. I will watch it again lol.

I’m only on episode 1 and my question is why oh why choose Son Jong Ki to play a tough mafioso? A pretty effeminate boy is totally the wrong look. I said exactly the same when he was cast as a tough soldier in Descendants of the Sun. Choose a strong masculine actor for those sorts of roles. A fancy boy doesn’t cut it. There are a lot of tough looking Korean actors, handsome and masculine.

But I’ll give it a go, the setting looks good. Just disappointed with the casting of the lead role.

If they make a Season 2, which is probable, considering the gold bars are sitting in Hong Cha Young's shed, they could bring back Jang Han Seo, the good brother. I do not think that they acknowledged that he had died. He could be lying in a coma in a hospital, and reawaken in Season 2. His character was redeemable toward the end, and he helped Vincenzo track down Evil Han Seok. The gold has to be redistributed among the Geumga Plaza residents an the lawyers. It can't sit in Cha Young's shed forever. They could build a better Geumga Plaza/residence/retailer/office building, and Han Seo could be the CEO.Wishful thinking!

The fresh storyline, the characters (not even any single character wasted in this drama), the chemistry, the cinematography, and the slowburn romance. I love how the writer nim being consistent about the story. Nothing can change Vincenzo mind. He's still a mafia but he become more human.

Not to mention I really fall in love with Hong Cha Young character, probably now she's one of my favorite female character in K-drama. And once again, the writer nim was consistent to make her strong until the last eps. She never cried in front of Vincenzo, she never asked him to stay, she supported him in whatever he does, she's being reliable person for Geumga tenants, and she made a perfect partner for Vincenzo. If I were Vin, I would head over heels toward her as well.

And the last kiss, I think it was the most appropriate time to finally show their own feeling. After 1 year has passed, their eyes can't lie. They are longing for each other. Vin was being hesitated all this time. But his feeling remain grow over time and he can't hide it anymore. Despite what he was said before about "Villain doesn't deserve to love" he finally decide to love because he is now sure about his feeling toward Cha Young. And when he decided to love, he will be tenacious. Their bond will grow strong. I believe in Vincenzo universe, Cha Young will finally come to Malta, to stay in the room Vin has made.

Why freeze just because his love got shot in top lung? A trained killer/spy reacts instinctively. Survival first and foremost. Always have back up: people and extra weapons. Good bro gave him diversion, bought him time ... Why should good bro die? This is a comedy. Mu husband and I both thought it was very sad to see Babel Group in receivership. Good bro should have been running the show. Vin taught him how to (loved his character development: from a stupid, cowardly person to wanting to become a leader and make good, run the company properly, the right way). This way, Babel group could atone for their misdeeds and make good which this series is about, isn't it? Not just showing how corrupt and greedy people with power become. Also, good bro told Vin about bad bro's watch collection. Bad bro told Vin about keeping wahtches of his victims. Hello, proof of past murders. That should get him life. Could have made his life misery in jail in a funny way. No need to orchestrate such a cruel horrible way to die a la Ruski. Felt sorry for baddie psycho. Choi Myung, why kill her like that? Just make her dance and dance until she collapses, a bit like the Red shoes. The sneaky slimy canniving head of Wusang, then head prosecutor demote him, debar him so he can't be a lawyer anymore and make him clean the Guem Plaza or sth silly like that. Who has the guillotine file? As for Cha Young, her parents are dead. She loves Vin. Why can't she just go with Vin to his island and become a lawyer there? It's not as if they are short of a bob or 2, is it? Conclusion: loved the story up until ep 18. Great actors, brilliant production with first half of ep. lots of humour, but then it became too serious, too revengeful, too dark, lost its light touch

Jackie May 03 2021 12:16 pm SPOILERS!!! I know the executions of Choi and Han Seok seemed really gory and extreme but just imagine if the tables had been turned. They would have skinned Vincenzo alive and Choi would have been dancing while they did it....so they got what they both deserved. In the end they still thought they could make a deal....no repentance or regret. I hope people realize those going to hell will suffer eternal agony.At least there was an end to their pain. Kudos to everyone connected with this project. I too am delighted that they decided to keep the pawnshop owner alive. I have already started rewatching. There were some really funny memorable moments and that kiss at the end was the icing on the cake.

D Mar May 03 2021 9:03 am This drama was a roller coaster of plots and emotions. The punishments of the two villians is too much to watch, I closed my eyes. But it did delivered its story till the end. All the actors are great. I like the happy ending of the lead couples . Congrats Vincenzo K drama.

1)scene where chayoung got shot etc was a bit off in the sense that smthg was lacking.had the writer do some fighting scene btw vincenzo & Han seok and more scene btw cha young & Han seok,it'll be lot more better.more dynamic & interesting

2)I think scene btw vincenzo & cha young at hospital and scene where they briefly meet & hug b4 he catch the flight were too long and not tht necessary huhu.it'll be better to just stick with what cha young said to him not to contact her.he even throw his handphone..writer can substitute with more interesting scenes.for me tht scenes just to satisfy viewers who wants to see more interaction btw the leads.hehe

3)suddenly cha young's role is diminishing half of the episode.the shot should be at much more dangerous place if the writer decide to lessen her appearance.huhu I want to see her moreee.not just her lying in hosp bed & saying goodbye to vincenzo

4)no update even slightest on the distribution of the gold.kinda hanging

despite tht,i still give Vincenzo 8/10.absolute love the drama.the action scene were all well executed & believable.chemistry was on point.love the fact tht vincenzo stay true to his mafia style.altho it's really gruesome when he killed myeong hee,Han seok & Mr jung.huhu.

Fantastic & Consistent acting from all the leads,villains & supporting characters.each of them shine & make the story even better!! special shout out to jeon Yeo bin & Kim Yeo jin.such a fresh character :) Vincenzo definitely on my repeat list.already miss all the casts.....

Vincenzo help hanseo and chayoung together. He called ambulance. And he go to hanseo leaving chayoung there. Then hanseo of course can't stay long because he was shot in the stomach(?). And if Vincenzo stop han seok from killing han seok of course it can, he can just fight and steal the gun from hanseok but it won't be fun right ? So I think the writer just want us to remember the sacrifice of han seo of helping Vincenzo twice, and make hanseok pay for what he did with the gps from han seo.

It was also the first time i'm seeing Jeon Yeo Bin on screen and she started to be one of my favorite actress. ❤️

Master Vincenzo froze when Jang Han-Seok and Jang Han-Seo were having a showdown. This was so uncharacteristic in Vincenzo. I would have choreographed a better scene, with Vincenzo and Jang Han-Seo taking down madman Jang Han-Seok. Even if Jang Han-Seo was weak, he was still redeemable.

The scriptwriting for the final episode was average, and as usual, the K-drama time jump wraps up the drama. The drama rates 9 out of 10. This is Song Joong Ki's best acting role, to-date.

May G. May 02 2021 11:15 pm SPOILERS. The last episode was really frustrating, Vince was looking so helpless and wasnt even worried when Jan Han Seok tried to save him twice that moment and maybe countless times.

Han Seok's death wasn't really necessary.

Even if it was, should have been not the way it went, like Vince freezing and doing nothing. But all other episodes were better and kept me on my toes.

Everyone upset at the end when Vin could have prevented that hostage scene doesn’t understand why it was played out that way. Vin in the beginning didn’t even care for anyone and just wanted his gold. Throughout every episode he has grown to love his Cassano family and he fell in love with the female lead! Love clouded his judgement and he couldn’t do anything but worry about her.

I don’t know if I’m expecting a season two, but I wanted to see the part where the plaza gets blown up, where we see it in episode 1.

Disappointed viewer May 02 2021 10:06 pm SPOILERS. Did they change the writer and director for ep.19-20? Where's the mafia character in vincenzo? Its so not vincenzo in ep.1-18!!!! Very disappointed! I dont believe i've been longing for the unexpected ending like this. Well it was indeed unexpected, but in a pathetic way. At least if you guys really want to kill off jang han seo - which you yourself did a great job in building his character from ep 1-19 - at least let jang han seo killed off without all of a sudden the mafia consigliere turn into a complete dumb ass, came to babo's place unarmed, didnt paralyzed babo's guards, not bringing any backup whatsoever while in previous scenes we all saw every residents of geumga plaza is so useful and handful in their own way and they had been a helping hand for (suposed to) vincenzo's heroic acts so many times!!! Not to mention that vincenzo got the delivery of cha young's earring covered with blood right in front of his own door at plaza geumga! Why on earth he didnt inform at least Nam bout this. Nam's been working with late cha young's father and continue work with the daugter - cha young. Didnt Nam deserve to know bout this right away? And Nam can call the rest of plaza geumga resident as vincenzo's backing up heading to babo's. Im trying to say, where was all the character and the intelligent of vincenzo in ep.19-20? Its gone just like that? Was it something he ate? Too bad for you that have worked hard on vincenzo's. Its a pity that all the beautiful building character and storyline from ep.1-18 got to end so very disappointed in ep.19-20. anyway thanks for ep.1-18.

Saaaddd, writer has their way even if it makes Vincenzo look un-mafia-like. I mean, there were 2 occasions to be the hero but still that awful thing had to happen. So who's the hero now haha. Still, i loved this series! Congrats to SJK for being nominated at the Baeksang awards.

I especially love the Cassano Family! I thought lawyer Hong was a bit weird though. Having said that, that ending hostage scene was so uncharacteristic of Vincenzo.

There were 2 occasions that he could have fought and subdued bad Jang and saved good Jang while also saving lawyer Hong but there he was...helpless. I thought killing off good Jang was not necessary and completely avoidable. The super villains got what they deserved though.

all villains were dead, he stay in malta, ask cha young to come and not break up, he stays with his pronciple to avenge evils by his own way, happy ending!

but we all can agree vincnzo suddenly bc a bit fool during han seo scene. (i think writer wants to make han seo shine and be remembered better by viewers)

The only thing I didn't that much like was the kiss scene in the end. I'm glad they got a happy ending, but sometimes it's not necessary to kiss. I think the feelings they had for each other are more platonic and pure how they cared for each other. It's just my opinion.

Also Han-Seo deserved a better ending. Hope to see more from Kwak Dong-Yeon in the future!!

The finale was great to watch and even if this is a fiction story still it is good to watch during this pandemic. One thing though , I wished in the real world , people who are treated with hate will be saved by someone who will not just be a bystander or looker, sometimes we need a little courage to stand up for others . One of the best kdrama of 2021 !!

Glad it didn't go soft by the end and made no excuses for how cruel vincenzo really is, but some things about the last few episodes were irksome. How dare they turn han seo into a plot device after building his character so well. Why did they never give cha young anything useful to do? Why play favorites and only share the gold with few tenants when they all helped by risking their lives? Why are they so coolly saying goodbyes while mr lee was bleeding out in the car?? What's that right hand man even here for? Will they ever stop with those cringey hand gestures. And why on earth was the editing and screenwriting so sloppy near the end, when it was so calm and cool at the beginning? I enjoyed a lot of things bout the show, but it was also super unsatisfying.

I get it that he'll help cy first becuse it's his principle, also he doesn't want cy to be part of it. But hanseo literally died and he doesn't care. When hanseo got shot in the stomach he didn't even care he just got shocked but still continue to go to cy. Which got shot just in the along the shoulder. Also, he have a lot of opportunities to get the gun from hanseok but he didn't. He literally had done it a lot of times and those previous scenarios in previous episodes are harder than this scene. Hanseo deserves better.

In Vincenzo’s words, evil is prevalent and vehement; and justice is weak. In the real world, good doesn’t always overcome evil. I am happy the writer and director kept it real till the end.

Great work on the CG effects, the action scenes, the unwavering nature and consistencies of the characters, and to the actors who delivered.

In many series, a lot of staring and facial pan shots stand in for acting, but at lease casting selected characters with different and individual personas. Philosphically, it was a little sad that the theme portrayed justice that only exists outside of the lines. In a series, it is not uncommon to put up with some repetition , but I enjoyed the suspense, character development and relationship values. Thank you.

kopiko candy lover May 01 2021 5:36 pm i'm writing this on episode 19, hopefully the last episode will be another great ones! as far as i can remember, i always enjoyed each episode which is amazing. there's always something new and interesting. my favorite thing so far, after watching so many legal and crime drama, is the vigilante method in this drama. it is refreshing to see how vincenzo and the team do not depend on putting those monster on prison as the final punishment like most legal drama. they take legal problems into their hands, because yes, even punishment by the law and to be put in prison can still be too good for those powerful monsters. but then again, this only for entertainment purposes, and we shouldn't really kill anyone. the director sure gives us a great drama! kuddos to her and team! the writer and actor, cinematography team, all doing a great job!!!

cha young's make up & suits are is also really nice, especially her red lipstick in this episode!! LOOLL Thanks to her stylist too!! and what else... ohh all the actors play their role really great!!! the comedic element blends really well with its dark side!!! all in all, i am waiting for the last episode, hopefully everything will end well and we get to see how the Casano family get to spend their gold vacationing far away with bye bye air balloon LOOOLLL ?????

Jackie May 01 2021 3:58 pm I just can’t get enough of Vincenzo. There have been few series that I have enjoyed so much I never get tired of watching. This is one.,I have already watched ep 19 twice. From beginning to end it was so Exhilarating. Those last five minutes were nothing less than amazing Kudos to the entire production team. And to see the transformation in Hanseo was great. The scriptwriting was outstanding. The director was phenomenal. All of the actors understood their roles and didn’t hold anything back. I was never bored. Each episode left me wanting more. It was indeed a dark comedy. Vincenzo forever!

Kwak and Taecyeon definitely steal the show in the last few episodes and Kim Sung Cheol was the total star of Episode 8. All the other episodes, Song Joongki is the ultimate star.

2. The System: Tae Jong-Gu and Kim Hui-Won from International Security Intelligence Service is discussing the Guillotine file, saying Vincenzo has a system that spreads the data in case he died.

What if EP 17 was part of the Plan, fake death, spread the data but only limited to Babel just to take them down.

First time I’ve seen Song Joong ki in a melodrama comedic role and his portrayal of a poker faced Italian Mafia lawyer is superb. And it goes with Yeontaec as the evil psychopath Chairman Jang Han seok. Who you will despise from the start. There was never an episode that was dragging, each episode kept me clenching on my nerves and my seat. The teamship of Director Kim Hee-won & Writer Park Jae-Bum is amazing.

Tbh, it could have gone either way and it still makes sense. Either blackmail or kill her. You guys have to understand that psychopaths hate to have their ego hurt. In this case, Hanseok and Myunghee’s ego have been crushed multiple times by Vincenzo. They just want a piece of their ego back and the biggest piece is of course to hurt his mother. Blinded by rage and huge ego they chose to kill her.

By killing her, we all get to see the acting prowess of Joongki when Vincenzo is furious. We never had a scene of him filled with rage and we definitely had a treat. Mad props to the PD! It made the drama less monotone with Vincenzo being calm all the time.

At this point he aren't even trying to get Vincenzo away from Babel using calculative moves, but he has been completely obsessed with destroying Vincenzo to his (Vincenzo's) core until he can't think straight anymore (same goes to Zumba Snake). No one even bothered to think 2 steps ahead (like what most psychos do). If they're still in the right sane mind, the best and only thing they need to do is to threat Oh Gyeong-ja's life and blackmail Vincenzo to leave them alone in exchange for her life, not killing her. They've seen what Vincenzo is capable of. Killing his mother is a very dumb move. I'm no mafia and not a psycho but I know in 10 seconds that it's an irrational decision. Well I guess they've dug their own graves. I can't wait to see Vincezo's revenge(s). Lowkey want him to shot all of them (except Han-seo) right there and then but it won't be fun. As Vincenzo once said, it's too merciful. They should suffer things that makes death seems so little in comparison that they beg Vincezo to finish them.

Its sad because it has a one week hiatus after ep16, which is i wish i did not watch until it ends. Though its a cliffhanger as usual, my take is that he will not kill lawyer myung hee instead it will serve as a warning and i think he will make sure that they ( jang joon woo and lawyer myung hee) will suffer so much that they will wish to die instead

When he was punch-pounding the killer, his eyes got bigger with anger.. Heartfelt. The Don't-Mess-With-Vincenzo look was so real. hats-off.

Hope the last 4 eps live up on it.. they would need to be more crisp and strong now! It seems Vincenzo would give a killer punch in every remaining episode and villains will not know what to do. A Board of Chess and Blast! Can't wait longer. :-)

HCY has been doing her little parts here and there like acting, confronting, adding details on planning just fine. i feel JYB as someone who is born with 'empty-looking' eyes (watch JYB on Running Man ep 485) but on sad/crying scene her eyes speaks enough

I feel like it didn't live up to the trailer (and this is coming from someone who's been watching Song Joongki's movies and series early on). On the first episode, they portrayed Joongki as this cool, "ruthless", strong lawyer. I say ruthless because duh he killed someone. Killing is a part of his life. Through out the series, he did maintain this kind of character still. I got hooked up until episode 10 until I realized the editing team is just really good at enticing me to wait for the next episode. Whenever I watched the last episode for the week, I get so excited and cannot for the next episode but when I finally get to watch it, my excitement just drops. Like "oh, that's it after that intense preview?!"

I was expecting this series to be more on the serious side because of the trailer and duh he's a mafia!! I am not even expecting romance or anything like that. The comedy is a huge miss for me especially that there seems to be a lot of them in each episode!! What I noticed with korean series nowadays is that they are fast-paced, straight-to-the point such as Penthouse, World of the Married, flower of Evil etc. So, when they revealed that Taecyeon is the CEO of babel in episode 4, I was like "wow! they're going in right away!" But then, they only knew about it on episode 11. So far, its so slow-paced for me.

I am glad it has high ratings though because I love Taecyeon and JoongKi. The comedy just ruined it for me because I was expecting it to be more serious.

outside the box Apr 09 2021 6:05 pm i see so many comments over ppl saying there's no "chemistry" between the two main leads. let this be a wakeup call; this ain't your classic melodramatic rom-com. like ofc yes there's some hints of romance scenes and even a kiss scene. but that's not the main genre, which stubborn ppl fail to realise. it's about crime, law and government corruption etc, with some comedy too. and i don't think ppl notice how short vincenzo and chayoung's interactions seem to be, cos it's not as if they're up against a whole company and law firm that's ten times as rich and powerful and is ran by a psychotic villain that murdered his own father :) srsly if you're here for romance, just go watch love alarm or sumn. but for those of you who still haven't yet, please do go watch it. give it a chance, it's a thriller with dark comedy and some action. to me the chemistry between the leads is phenomenal, and it is a slow and steady natural buildup rather than a forced unrealistic one. they complete each other with their polar opposite personalities, chaotic extra but quick-witted female lead meets a calm and collected yet skilled male lead. and they're both lawyers

First of all, Vincenzo was a lawyer for the mafia. keyword is lawyer. he gets them out of trouble legally but he doesn't do the main dirty work. only when he has to. for the people saying it started out when him killing people and it's now comedy. I assume the mafia would use theatrics to blow a case when they know they can't win

Then we have those saying SJK and JYB have no chemistry. That is just a big fat lie. just because they're not crying or don't have sad scenes each doesn't mean they don't have chemistry

JYB is excellent. First time seeing her in anything but she portrays her role wonderfully. You're just a plain hater if you don't like her. I can't wait for the whole cast to win a lot of awards.

SJK as usual is always great. You'll come for SJK and end up staying for the whole cast. Taecyeon is also great, switching characters like that. No doubt they'll sweep award shows

I know that Vin supposed to be a cold-hearted mafia lawyer or something like that, but we need to remember the genre of this drama, it has comedy in it. I think SJK portrayed Vin character really well for both his cold and comedic side. It’s not like Vin instantly being a comedic character right after he arrived at Korea. He adjusted well with geumga people and I think HCY makes a big impact in Vin's character development, since they've been working and face everything together for quite awhile now.

We all know that HCY character is a bit crazy and her mbti and Vin’s are totally the opposite. That’s why sometimes her character seems to exaggerated (she’s so different from Vin!) and I think JYB also portrayed her character really really well. I was amaze by how different she is in Vincenzo and her other works….

Lastly, the chemistry between them and the rest of the cast is just amazing and they always left a smile or laugh in my face LOL

There is ZERO chemistry between Song Joong Ki and FL. In fact SJK looks drained out as if he has to carry the weight of these scenes with her. They have toned down her silliness so she is more bearable to watch or easier to ignore. I feel sorry for her for being miscasted in this show. She would probably do a good job in another drama. But to be casted alongside a very charismatic and talented actor like SJK was a huge mistake. The disparity between their skills is too much. It just seemed like they have to "dumb down" SJK's role and character in later Episodes in order to make everyone else look good. In the later Episodes they make him do silly things with a mask. Where is that cool mafia character??

After Episode 8 with Kim Sung Chul and SJK, everything went downhill. However, there are some really good intense scenes between Taecyeon and SJK. Also liked the scenes between Taecyeon and his brother and the Wusang lawyers. Taecyeon's psychotic behavior is well depicted from how he switches from fake "nice guy" to psycho freak. I also like the secret Intelligence agent posing as the Italian chef's assistant. But this whole Tenants searching for gold scenes are tiresome. It's like they are flogging a dead horse which died 15 Episodes ago. Give it a rest and move on!!

What I would really like to watch is a drama with SJK and Kim Sung Chul along the lines of Good Manager reflecting a similar relationship between Junho and Namgoong Min. There is absolutely more chemistry between SJK and Kim Sung Chul than there is between SJK and FL in Vincenzo. SJK and KSC are an absolute delight to watch and they bring out the best of each other.

I'd say her chemistry with SJK is more towards professionalism in work, instead of romance. But they really pair up so well. Complementing each other's character very well.

Also, the female lead's acting has improved a lot after her father's death in the drama haha. Plus the comedy of this drama is so on point that I couldn't help myself from laughing. The plot is so unpredictable because there are lots of plot twists. It's definitely a must watch!

She acts like a big shot when it's Vincenzo who does all the thinking, planning and execution.

Dead eyes when acting.

Listing down all her cringiness would take time. And remember her bland "running to Vincenzo" scene at the tunnel? Ho-hum.

Vincenzo has legit chemistry with the gay CEO and piano/hacker girl. She should have been playing the female lead character instead of the clenched teeth actress. ??

He's now one of my top Korean actors (a.k.a. my favorite oppas!). I'm "neutral" about Jeon Yeo-been. I'm not a big fan of hers but I don't hate her either. She's been doing a good job of portraying the role that's been given her. Some people are annoyed with her but she's really just portraying the character the way the writer and director want her to. Just an observation... Song Joong-ki is more "beautiful" and more flawless than Jeon Yeo-Been. = )

I was very disappointed as how writer or writers even didnt try to do a good job.

From first episode where vincenzo is standing in front of collapsing building, then it says 72 hours earlier... i was like ok now definitely more than 3 days past, shouldn't we reach that point.

Or I was so hyped where Vincenzo trapped Mrs.cha inside laundry building and threatens her that to come clean or pay the price. Which she does not, and then I was like "I guess Vincenzo has amnesia" ... And so much more weak writing like these cases. At this point I am only watching three cast members interaction and dont even care what is happening story wise

QAS Mar 25 2021 8:15 pm I am watching this drama for Song Joong Ki. His character, Vincenzo is bold and beautiful, and bad*@***ed. The satellite characters/actors are not memorable, but Tak the Tailor/martial artist was awesome in episode 12.

I was surprised to see Taecyeon, who I have been following for years. His slapstick silly lawyer/psychotic killer chairman is not really entertaining especially when his hair perm mop is covering half his face. It detracts from his acting performance. The director should have differentiated his personality disorder. When he is the killer chairman, his hair should be combed back, to match his smart designer wardrobe.

My 1st time seeing Jang Han Seo act but his facials gave off more of a terrifying & convincing look for a villain when I saw him in serious/evil mode at beginning of the series than Ok Taec Yeon.

Never watched any Joong Ki dramas before but definitely swooning over him now in this character. Yeo Been is an exemplary female lead and a great personality to play Chayoung. Overall I have high expectations for this show, very worth watching - trust me, it just gets better!

The director and Makeup Manager should have spent more time crafting Taecyeon's image for his role. He looks like a KPOP idol pulled off the street, to act as the villain. He shows that he can play the bipolar despotic jester, but the hair is covering 70% of his head. He is a lawyer, but who would take him seriously?

Drama has its moments of funny and action scenes but overall it lacking the suspense.

I like that there no much focus on the romance but their moments are nice.

What I loved the most is the music.

Jackie Mar 21 2021 2:41 pm I am absolutely having a ball. The two main leads are awesome and seeing their characters evolve is exciting. The twists and turns have me anxious to see what’s next. All of the supporting cast members add to the intrigue. The tenants are hilarious. And of course the actor playing the the part of the real chairman is outstanding. I can’t wait to see the final confrontation between he and Vincenzo. There are so many layers. There are so many subtle revelations which lets us know people are driven by different motivations and whatever they are determine the core of our being...will we be basically good or basically evil. This is indeed a dark comedy. When I look at an episode and immediately want to look at it again in case I missed something the first time that to me is a winner. Not once have I had the urge to fast forward because each scene adds to the plot. This is the most entertaining series I have watched so far this year.

Spring Mar 21 2021 12:43 pm I like this drama so far, including how chaotic it can be—I think that’s also the entertaining part. Some people don’t like Chayoung, but I think she’s a gem. Her character is deliberately written as annoying and weird, which makes sense to me because: 1) She was once an evil lawyer who crushed her own father, hated by many victims and even disliked by her coworkers (Vincenzo also teased her about not having many friends). 2) Her personality needs to contrast with Vincenzo to create a dynamic—she’s the one who acts silly & extra, while he’s the cold & reserved one. A female lead with character development like her is rare and so far I love how Yeo Bin portrays her. I don’t instantly like her but she grows on me every time.

About SJK no need to say, he always stable plus it's obvious that people will like it even if his acting so so just like Lee Minho case. Don't confused about real person and character. What you saw is what director instruct on every scene. No need to throw unnecessary comment to certain role. If I have to say something unnecessary, SJK is just used as eye candy and other cast get extraordinary character to balance the spotlight.

I really wish people would understand her character. Not all female leads are expected to act like 'Ko Mun Young" in IOTNBO or 'Jang Man Weol' in HDL. Please, y'all should give her a break. IMO, she perfectly complements Vincenzo's character. And damn, haven't y'all seen the way he treats her and looks at her? The man is in love!!! Lol. Of course Song Joong Ki is extremely perfect and amazing as usual. Hats off to his amazing performance. The entire cast is perfect. Everything about this drama is just amazing. I can't help but ship SJK and KSC though. Their chemistry is amazing. Tvn should give them their own drama after Vincenzo plsss. :-) If you haven't seen this drama, you're missing out big time.

The story is all over the place and the characters are not consistent (inconsistencies can make characters interesting if it add something to the story). Action scenes are well made and some scenes are funny. The real chairman is not psycho as I expected.

Hats off to Jeon Yeo-Bin for doing her best in portraying the character ( not big fan of how the character is written though).

Everyone is asking for romance and lovely-dovey moments but I want sex/bed scene before any confession( tension is there and that's enough)

Not sure if I will continue watching as I have mixed feelings but next week episode seems promising.

Bai Laohu Mar 15 2021 11:22 pm Finally there is light at the end of the tunnel! A great performance by Song Joong Ki (SJK) and Kim Sung Cheol (KSC). Episode 8 has redeemed the show. It is actually funny - finally there is some reflection of the brilliance of the writer who was responsible for the extremely funny Good Manager/Chief Kim. The best way to enjoy this episode is to fast forward the parts involving the Tenants of G-Plaza and also mute out/fast forward the female lead. Everyone else in the show is very good at their roles, even the gangsters played their parts well and did not exaggerate their acting to try to be funny. The Babel cast ( Taecyeon and Kwak Dong-yeon) and the Wusang legal team play their roles very well. The only major downside of this drama is the excruciatingly annoying female lead and idiotic silly Tenants. It is a delight to watch SJK and KSC acting together. Vincenzo probably gonna be the top 10 highest rated kdrama because of how great the story is and how the actors performed their acting very well. This one on the other hand, is just a joke of a series. Super unrealistic, not trying to show any serious plot. Yea, keep the comedy, but use it at the correct times and dont make the whole drama into a joke.

It started with the shoots in Italy, showing a badass character that KILLS people, and we ended into this satire.

I also liked the performance of Yoo Jae-myung. They should have killed off the character of his daughter in the 1st episode and kept his character alive in the show. The lead actress and her role in the show is excruciatingly annoying and so is the entire cast representing the tenants the building. This show is purported to be a "black comedy". Song Joongki's brilliance has been brutalized by the atrociously bad acting of the female lead and the other actors (the tenants of the plaza) and the miserable attempt at comedy by the writer and director. The "comedy" is ridiculously slapstick to the point of being embarrassing. And yet this is the same writer for the brilliantly funny Good Manager. Why did he massacre this show? The only way to salvage this drama is to turn down the painful slapstick "comedy" and overacting and minimize to, almost zero, any scenes involving the lead actress. The show as it is now is only enjoyable to watch if you fast forward all the scenes with the lead actress and the tenants of the plaza. An actress like Jun Ji-hyun would have been a much better match for Song Joong Ki.

If we see ourselves, everyone is bit dramatic in their real life, people hate park Shin Hye coz she cries a lot in her dramas, now they are hating FL of Vincenzo coz according to them she overreacts all the time, it's just a drama series for people entertainment and accept that. No need of pinpointing everything and everyone, people are really working hard so cut them some slack and stop complaining about everything.

In episode 4 ending, other than disinfecting , there were many employees inside the factory. The manager there told them to "Vacate the room ". So whether writer is going to make an illogical assumption that they went outside the whole factory just for a disinfection leaving their nightshift. And fire happens immeadetely after disinfecting agents comes out.

Prosecutor, Babel Group and Wusang knows vincenzo did that to the factory, yet why they are not looking for an evidence against Vincenzo?

First of all using narcotics in painkillers is not a new deal or a crime, it is a common practice used for chronic patients, it is even legal in South Korea but require doctors prescription to prevent its overdose and overuse which can lead to addiction.Here I am not clear about the fact that how serious the new drug mentioned by them in the series.

Now all researchers and manufacturing unit gone, Vincenzo don't have much evidence about painkiller compoents other than the painkiller itself, which will provide an upperhand for Babel in court.But on the other hand, Vincenzo can be easily accused and put behind bars for destroying the whole property.Babel has lost its core company. No forensic check on petrol or kerosene presence in fire accident. No cctv footages at gate or outskirts of factory... ????

They took up babel chemicals case 5 days ago before the first trial and the case was handed over to FL by that greedy settlement lawyer on the second day when almost 2- 3 days were left. They postponed first trial for preparation it seems. Coming to the second trial, they were gonna present just the plaintiffs statements and hospital admitted guys statement, no new evidence nothing.I think writer was gonna show some good evidence collection but nothing happened.They could have trained their witnesses in the first trial itself as there were already 2-3 days. ( Days identified from captions and theur costumes). Why they get the trial extended in the first place? To show Mr. Song is stylish, his lamborgini scenes, those lame joke scenes from first trial (hornet scene exception becoz I loved it ). The most funniest thing, they didn't even tried ir even searched for a new evidence and finally vincenzo himself have to become a witness.

Yeo Bin is doing a great job. I like her character and all the "overacting" is part of her charm. I think there's a double standard because before we knew who Taecyeon was, his acting was definitely too much. He is also a super common face and a known person. he was in lots of scenes and yet no one said anything.

Why show the FL as a badass lawyer, which will stop at nothing to win in court, when you going to completely erase it in 4 episodes and make her a damsel in distress?

Soooooooooo many lost opportunities for something different in KDramaland. Instead we got the same old, good guys bad guys and predictable endings.

Action scenes are well made but character wise is a mess and the comdey is not balanced well. He suppose to be ruthless since he worked with the Mafia but after returning to Korea he become soft. Why then give this big introduction in Italy if he is going to change the moment he arrived in Korea.

Jeon Yeo-Bin is another set back of the story. I don't like how female characters is written in some k dramas. She was introduced as bad ass lawyer who will do anything to win but she seems led by her emotions and needs the ML help. It would have been better if her father did not die and was her and the law firm against her father and Vincenzo.

The real villain is not intimidating at all and over the top. 4 episodes was enough to drop it.

Hopefully his next project will be better.

Dani Mar 07 2021 10:09 am I won’t recommend this to any skeptical people who won’t even begin to understand the depth of this drama. This is not your typical comedy drama. It’s not a slapstick, nor heavy or even light. This is a very subtle comedy that not everyone will understand.

All the lines, expression and interactions between all characters must be focused so that u can enjoy the comedy. Not for everyone. This is different that Fiery Priest that is more towarda slapstick comedy.

For example; the scene where Vincenzo and HCY arrive at the court with the fancy car. I legit laughing when the scene suddenly turns out into some random other scenes. It’s like two hallyu stars on the red carpet premiere which totally absurd to be happen infront of the court! Haha

Also, yes the fl trying so hard to be funny, but not. But that’s the charm! The way Vincenzo always brush off the fl weird attitude that’s make it more charming. Her character is not trying to be funny but instead weird. The duo combined together are very in sync. There’s Vincenzo who we know actually a serious guy but always dragged along with all these weird people around him and there’s the fl who is weird, ridiculous and nonsense, trying too hard to be funny. This hard to explain, but I hope you can see it that way.

And I dunno why people won’t comment much on the main villain here. You want to compare, let’s compare okay. I remember watching fiery priest & chief kim that I couldn’t help to feel angry towards all the evil character. But I don’t get the vibe here. (except the female lawyer). My point here is, from what I can see Taecyon are the one that trying too hard right now. All the slapstick jokes really doesn’t suit him. and when he change her persona to the evil one, I don’t get the vibe maybe because still early in episodes. I felt uncomfortable whenever his character appear. It’s cringy.

it's been a few episodes so far so i can't say anything yet but i hope the plot won't disappoint me.

I’m sure if you knew JYB’s past works it’s far from her character now so cut her some slack but you can’t deny that she brought her expertise in drama especially in ep. 4. Other times, there are scenes that make us laugh despite being rather accurate representations of society or powerful institutions. Episode 4 is just mind blowing, can't wait for the next episode. kudos SJK

Well I saw one video of an Italian guy review SJK Italian language skills and he was impressed somewhat. In that same video what he said made sense to me and I'm also adding my understanding.

Italian people don't get authentic Italian food outside Italy anywhere they go. They are very close and passionate to their food. So SJK is portraying that Italian aspect. Can't tolerate any non sense on food.

My understanding is he really loves his food a lot as he keeps coming back each day to make fun of Chef Toto ?

What I am curious about is why he is a intern in Wosang? Why would someone who holds so much power be willing to live a life of a intern and why is he all over Hong Cha Young??? Because when you think of his pov Cha Young isn’t someone who has power in society, why would he spend his time on her? Only thing that I can come up with is that he is in love with her but then again, why... Overall I am super excited about next ep. The acting is super and so is the storyline. Can’t wait for upcoming weekend

People getting mind-blown by the "twist" of EP4 never actually watched Oldboy or something truly epic. Also, might even be V is step-brother to Babel's leader, due to her mother been sexual attacked by the Babel's boss. And finally, why go into a Black-White storyline? Why even show us that V is a hitman for Mafia then? Just make him some soldier or something if you are going to make him into a good guy. A more compelling story would be a true grey, anti-hero character. Make him do morally conscionable acts, kill some people, do "mafia stuff". Not this no-kill BS they are pushing now.

When her mother was work at Babel group (as a maid or whatever), she got scandal with the big boss. Key words of Mr Hong "reckless, it is my fate to defend the defenseless" and "monster, ie fight fire with fire or as the Italian idiom "it takes a monster to bring down a monster". And V has lived with mafia as adoptive son, being the consigliere konws all about being a clever strategic monster, has he not?

Death of father will bring them closer. Can't wait to see how it's going to unfold :-)

Ps: woman ex prosecutor now lawyer has either given the order to kill or wants to bring down the drug company after exposing het ex fellow prosecutors because they weren't respectful. Either way she had a plan. And Vincenzo ex maffia, should have better instincts. But that's part of comedy ...

seriously. The main female lead is confusing to me. She wants to be fierce, cool but act all cutesy and foolish at the same time? It is like they cannot decide which direction they want her role to be. And the older female lawyer... at this point I don't understand her purpose in this story besides being awkward and no style.

the building's female tenants behavior are idiotic, one note and are just noisy background noises that adds absolutely nothing of value to the story.

This show has potential but they just put all the effort and character building on the male characters and ignored the females.

Hong cha yong the badass and cold hearted lawyer who can beat her own father will help because her dad or because she fall in love with vincenzo or because she hate the presecutor lady, she is savage, a jerk, She gets her reputation not because connection so she should be smart, calculated and charismatic too.

I Know this is dark comedy genre drama and And i belive the writer trying to tell us that vicenzo and hong cha young has unique personality and has humor on their way.

But the lawyer.. She in not unique or humoris.. She is childis, annoying and she even does not look capable.

Oh also the intell agent.. They weird too.

Well, its fine as long as it suit your demand. I think she was just a miscasting. She just doesn't portray the character well enough for the audience to be able to sympathize with her. She is probably better in other roles.

I actually watched her other drama and she was good! I’m not trying to justify her acting from her other drama to this one but others shouldn’t be quick to judge. Its only 2 eps early and I see really rude comments about her. I actually like how her character is real, i hope the writer doesn’t turn her into damsel-in-distress like other female leads since it will be off-character. I like her strong, confident and silly personality and how she still clings to her dad despite her love-hate relationship with him. I hope it becomes consistent or even grow more into character dev. in the future episodes.

Her expression and gesture really another level. Thought this drama gonna be like action and deadly but it was so entertaining. Like, when things start getting hot...they pour cold water on us. So thrilled and refreshing. Looking forward for upcoming episode where Vincenzo and Chayoung teamed up to fight justice :)

I would probably say that’s the chemistry and the depth that I found in the Fiery Priest right at the beginning, as compared to this movie. The female lead’s acting is a bit exaggerating with the frowned face expressions most of the time. I would give it more time as it’s been just 2 episodes.

Anne Feb 22 2021 4:28 am Watched for Yoo Jae Myung and Jeon Yeo Bin :") Though Jeon Yeo Bin's character may not be her best one because it seems a bit awkward and out of place, it's still pretty good. I REALLY like her character's dynamics with Jae Myung.

The first two episodes are amazing so far. Joong Ki's Italian kept on improving. Script could have more improvements because I think it was a BIT confusing. Cinematography is on point. Comedy and action's on point. And the musical score is REALLY on point. I love the classical music used. It makes it more intense, and sometimes, even comedic.

It is what makes the humor of the series.. remember the part where she acted caring to her father after their 1st court duel in the series? I think that's where they established her character to be that seemingly fake over expressing her thoughts and overly exaggerated. I think that she's really compatible with the character and she's portraying it really well so far.. though I also thought if Seo Ye-ji suits the character as well hehehe (well i just thought of that bcoz of her character in IOTNBO and she already acted as lawyer in Lawless Lawyer hehe)

lol Feb 21 2021 7:54 pm So far so good for the first couple of episodes. SJK looks amazing and the premise is interesting too. The FL's comedic timing rubbed me the wrong way at times, though. Characters that get less lines and screen time than her can come off as much funnier and genuine. Her acting in this one is either a hit or miss, depending on the style of acting that you enjoy watching. To me it seems like overkill. However, to someone else she could be hilarious, who knows? I don't mean to target only one aspect of the show, but that's really my only complaint about it lmao.

Because looking at the trailer i thought that it would be more like crime drama. But after watching 2 ep, it feels like crime-comedy. Idk, it's just my personal opinion.

Song Jong Ki is acting is top-notch of course, i would like to see more of his fight scene and cunning scheme than the other actors. I just haven't feel the chemistry, like between he and the others. But i still have to watch some more of the episode.

I get that song Joong ki and taecyeon are much more well-known but that doesn't mean y'all disregard JYB and ask for another popular actress!!

The fact that JYB is casted in this drama means she is more than capable to be acting alongside these 2 great actors. The director, pd and writers etc.. sees her talent and value unlike fans who just care about having a popular actress for their 'oppa'.

There is a reason for her to be casted in this drama. Please do not send unnecessary hate to Jeon Yeo Bin. She is talented actress worthy of this role.I hope this drama could be her big break! Loved her since her debut drama!
