Set within a secondhand bookstore named Tokyo Bandwagon, located in a suburb of Tokyo. The bookstore has a small cafe and the exterior building is old. A large family has lived there for the past four generations. The family solves troubles from their customers. Ao Hotta (Kazuya Kamenashi) is a 26-year-old freelance travel agency guide.

Mirtika Jul 18 2016 11:51 am I really enjoyed this family and their situations and extended friends circle. There were issues/problems, but there was always heart and love--Rabu, Rabu!--to solve them. I know I wanted to be sitting around the dinner table with them, talking and eating and laughing. A fun family and I enjoyed the theme song.

Spoilter: The only part that disappointed me was the elder sister not ending up with the rich guy devoted to her. I really wanted a wedding. :D

natsu Jul 11 2016 2:57 am Great drama, except that Tabe Mikako's character is annoying as hell. Kept feeling she was miscast as I started to even hate her in the role, and I really loved her in other roles. I think the character is just that annoying, and somehow she made it even worse because she's a good actress, haha. Otherwise, the casting is great...you can't help but love the whole family, even the late oba~chan

nao desu Apr 06 2014 7:14 am I recommended this drama for whoever who want to watch "Family's Theme" It's just like a perfect family that shown from its unperfect side. Really love this. And I adore that Tokyo Bandwagon, I planned to open one Bookshop for secondhand book and a cafe, and its just similar with this film. So.. pray for me people,,, Hope my plan and my dream reached soon. You can come to my shop next, when it's opened :)

Raven Jan 13 2014 1:08 pm I LOVE the cinematography! All the acting, even the bit parts, is excellent! I hate american TV ( I was born in California, lived in Kyoto for a year) but this show is great. The house/bookstore/coffeehouse would have been the favorite hangout for me and my Eigo sensei gaijin pals!
