Set in Shirakawa-go, Gifu Prefecture. Mayu Kosaka (Tomoyo Harada) is a married housewife. She takes care of her husband, son and disabled mother-in-law. They live in a beautiful small town, surrounded by mountains and a river, but Mayu Kosaka suffers from loneliness.
Sota Akikaze (Shosuke Tanihara) is from Tokyo. He travels to Shirakawa-go to compose a song for a new school. There, he meets Mayu Kosaka by chance. They are like kindred spirits and fall in love. Soon, Sota Akikaze asks Mayu Kosaka to return to Tokyo with him.
