Plot

Kyoto in the Heian Era-The Imperial Palace has been suffering from the appearance of a demonic, cannibalistic monster. The extermination duties are given to Abeno Seimei (Nomura Mansai), the greatest Yin-Yang Master. However, the victim count increases as we're introduced to various interesting characters: Minamotono Hiromasa (Ito Hideaki), Seimei's friend; Himiko (Fukada Kyoko), the beautiful daughter of the chief secretary; Susa the lute player; and Genkaku (Nakai Kiichi), a sorcerer hired by Seimei's enemies. Finally, Seimei discovers the true identity of the demon and defeats it in battle, bringing peace back to Kyoto.
