I didn't like any of the parents, i honestly would have cut off all ties to all three of them if it were me. The only parts I didn't like were episodes 13-15. I couldn't watch it because i couldn't relate on any level to it. In my country, our probate laws are bogus but it is lightyears ahead of S. Korea's.

The actors do their job very well and portray the characters in the film excellently, being very well chosen for each role. The film describes certain typologies, young or old, their reaction and thinking. It is not meant to highlight a certain central character, as an ideal pattern, and the end follows logically, it is not imposed artificially. Excellent game of all the actors and I personally liked all the characters in the movie! hope to see more drama well played like this.

They didn't make it all lovey dovey after everything they put each other through they deserved to be apart. And maybe in due time learn to love again touched my heart really! Recommended!

As much as I understand that this drama's meant to be an allegory on the harshness of patriarchal society, some parts of it made me cringe because they're so over-the-top.

Something that intrigues me to this day about this show is the fact that about 2 weeks after the last episode aired, adultery was outlawed in South Korea. *SPOILER* I was surprised by the fact that the main character's best friend and her ex-husband were charged with adultery by the main character's best friend's ex-husband's girlfriend. The court treated the case as if the ex-husband was actually married to his girlfriend because of all of the movie-date receipts (lame evidence) the girlfriend had. I still can't believe that they were charged with adultery even though the ex-husband and his girlfriend weren't even married. I thought that in order to be charged with adultery, you have to have sexual intercourse with someone other than your husband/wife while married. I guess that this scene was just the show using some creative license....

Kya Dec 04 2018 6:55 am I can't believe people does'nt enjoy this drama....this is my second min woo drama after about 7 years watch his drama and it is really great and absolutely very sad.....i really love Park Tae Yeon character in this drama.....the relationship was great but because of Cha Ki Young ego their relationship became wasted...i really hope there's special episode that air about their relationship had been back normal.....(or second season with same characters)

Why did she even agree to have sex if she was ovulating? Why did she bear all the insults thrown at her so passively? Why did she not have more common sense!? Why did the drama not have more common sense!? I sincerely hope for the future of South Korea that it is not as narrow minded as depicted in this drama.

Xia Dec 19 2016 12:28 pm Cha Dan is irritating. He is so not an endearing character. Cries every single time they touch him or when they raise their voices at him. Taeyon has no redeeming qualities he never grew up nor his character developed in a positive light in the run of the series. His family is irritating too. I don't know if it's a testament to the actors' skills or just plain bad story writing. All I can say is that if it weren't for Cha Kiyoung and Jo Euncha I would not try to finish this series.

And why is it necessary to have a father's name after child's name who even don't want to take the responsibility of their own child. Had,a off to the leading actress who played this role so well. And very disappointed with the thinking of men of our society especially people like PARK TAE YEON FAMILY MEMBERS, who have such a pathetic thinking in the name of traditional values..

The ending where Cha Gi-Young was happily holding both of the men's hands, in my opinion, depicted that she has her lover (Park Tae-Yeon) and her friend (Jo Eun-Cha) by her side forever.

Its really interesting full of curiosity when watching this. But the ending is not clear for me. It doesn't show clearly ,what will happen to teayeon ,euncha and GI young. The ending is not clear ....but the story is refreshing. Specially how eun cha is revolving around GI young in her most valuable incidents is really great. Though he hates her, he is her fate. That's fantastic.....

TOP Sep 18 2015 5:59 am First of all, is that how it is the condition in south korea? It's frigthening to know how the society treats a woman who insists to have a baby on her own and they treat her like shit. People talk harsh words in the restaurant. And when the court decided to take away the child, how crazy is that? If that how it happens in korea, i am glad i wasn't born there. But i really enjoy kpop though. I was hoping ki young and tae young would end up together because they love each other, it's just they lack good communication. Overall, i really enjoy to watch this drama

Amber Jun 10 2015 5:04 pm To be honest, I started this drama really liking it. However, it soon went down hill after Gi-Young became pregnant. However, I stuck through in hopes for everything to change.

I really loved Tae-Yeon's actor, but his character was poorly written, and just when I thought he was going to change, the writers throw a curve ball and we're back to square one.

I am greatly disappointed in his drama to the point where I didn't finish it. I'll admit, I enjoyed it in the beginning, but I soon became absolutely annoyed with the way the characters were written. True, not everything has to be a happy ending, but I was hoping for Tae-Yeon to mature and APOLOGIZE for being a complete a**hole to Gi-Young and his child.

Ugh, I wish I could get the time I've wasted back from his drama.

hurtended Jun 08 2015 11:45 am I finished this drama in 4 days. my blood has been boiling and rising and I have yelled once really loud because of MyungYi. I keep watching coz of curiosity for next ep. hoping for the better but then I am utterly disappointed the way this drama ended :( I loved the start but it was too fast more dating scenes should have been shown. I wish the writer made it into 24 episodes instead so there would be enough time for story development and esp closure Like SunNyeo's giving birth at her wedding w/ Pedro Kiyoung and Taeyun's romance and eventually conceiving again and Dan is ring bearer to their wedding Ara's homecoming and remarriage of Yunhee and Iljong and she stays in Korea Nurse Jung and Junyong dates and gets married Kiyoung's mom story like finding a good man and also marries Myungyi and Euncha find solace w/ one another and she gets pregnant with twins and they get married too THEN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A REAL "THE GREATEST MARRIAGE" BECAUSE EVERYONE EVENTUALLY MARRIES AND HAS A HAPPY ENDING!!!!!! WHY WHY WHY DID YOU NOT FINISH WRITING FULLY THE DRAMA??? Aigooo my emotional investment was for nothing huhuhu ;((((

The whole thing was rushed right after she had the baby! And then from then on it was just a bunch of bullshit added in to make the drama longer! There was NO darn chemistry between the characters and the whole plot was just dumb. She could've handed the paper that both she and Tae-yeon hand signed after the wedding to the jury and things would've been better. -.- I think the author or director doesn't know what they're doing. Better luck next time.

The ending is like typical korean movie ie happy ending, all parties smiling. He got elected so if the fortune telling is right, she is going out with him. Tae has no chance as she said he had his moment, but can be a father to his son. which is true, as no one remarries or go back to the same person they left. emergency couples was so surreal. if you forward the movie alot, it becomes good as there are too many irrelevant parts or goes on too long. This drama was to portrait how old fashion and baised the korean system is, but that is korean, telling us non korean that is it, but then ... i live in uk so we have our own problems, changing korean does not mean there is no bais or fairness, just means a change in culture

Thunderwolf Jan 04 2015 12:59 am So at first, I kind of understood what was going on, but at the end, the whole kidnapping Dan and so on, I was so confused. The actors were great, but the plot? I've seen better ones, and honestly it didn't connect to the plot at all. I thought that after this problem was solved, it would be over and done with, but no. They just made it more difficult to understand. I loved the the theme, but the plot just bothered me. The ending? What was up with that? What happened? Who married who? Why are both of the men there? What the hell was going on? I had so many questions, that I decided to call it a day and never watch it again. Some scenes were great, but it could have been better. If I was to rate The Greatest Wedding, it would be 6/10.

Ami Jan 03 2015 10:37 pm I loved the ending for CKY because it wasnt PREDICTABLE like most korean dramas. I though CKY wasn't going to end up with PTY, but at the end you clearly see him and her holding hands walking with Dan and JEC. I think ot was a conclusion of them starting over and creating their dream being a family. HMY main's objective was to find and save her family from debt, sadly they werent able to cover her full story and rushed her exit. Im glad that Pedro said he was marring for money and to be successful. Lets be real their are tons of people doing this in our generation and before. Life is not a Kdrama lol. I still kinda wondered about CKY mother and PTY family but I guess they left it to our imagination... and probably budget reasons. Thank you for a great show!!! I cried many buckets feeling CKY's struggle.

For family-oriented individuals, they'd say CKY either got married with PTY or JEC and lived happily ever after. As for advocates of feminism, they sure had opted to build an ending where CKY managed to raise Dan well on her own while remaining to be friends with the two male leads. However one wishes to visualize it, it is or will eventually be a happy ending. But since I've always been rooting for PTY, I think he and CKY ultimately hooked up. Have you seen the two holding hands on the last scene? Heh! Spoiler alert!

mina Jan 01 2015 11:29 am It seems the writer was not sure about the ending and hesitated to choose the better husband, even thought there are 2 good boys for a girl to marry, she should accept one to support family fundamental values, morality, law and religious points, I know how family is important in Korea and even the taboo of having scandal. I guess PTY is the husband, but to me one more episode is needed for more satisfaction of the viewers.

Pammia Dec 30 2014 10:57 am I actually liked the ending. The challenge of the writer was to expose a practice which is apparently currently and a flaw in the law that needs to be addressed. WIthout comedy this drama might have been censured. The ending allowed three things - a chance for the public to be informed of archaic practices and unfair application of family law, allowed viewers to criticize, critique and judge while allowing the characters to have redemption. Throughout watching you either loved them or hated them...that is effective writing and acting. However, the writer allowed the viewer to "let go" of these emotions and allowed the actors not to be typecasted as evil or good. I still think of Tarnesha in Empress Ki and haven't let go to the point couldn't watch Pride and Prejudice. Excellent drama - kudos for taking a chance and advocating for unwed mothers in Korea.

There should be the greatest marriage of the couple witnessed by their son to demonstrate the LOVE of his parents after all that struggles n objections by that old fashioned grand parents in a modern 21st century. Myung-yi, the jealous troublemaker, intruder n gold-digger could end up with Eun-Cha since he has been elected to be an assemblyman n become rich thereafter. From a score of 0-10, the final episode is a 3 to me......bad!

Jo Eun Cha being a successfull assembly-man and meet his lover. Myung Yi meet her parents in Canada. Or something like that. I want to see pedro married too! I love pedro sunyeo couple!

To be honest CKY should have never went back to PTY... And i found it weird when he said he treated her terribly because he was jealous that she gave all her attention to Dan... In the first place PTY pushed her away and tried to ruin her life when all this time CKY tried to make things right with him.... I dont know... lol There is a lot to the story line that needs to be added. But still all of the actresses and actors did a great job with their roles. :)

TSC Dec 27 2014 9:23 am This drama is amazing! I feel like PTY caused all of this mess. He doesn't know how to communicate with others period! If he did he would have been able to express his feelings with CKY and this whole situation wouldn't have happen. You see why he can't communicate with others and it is because of his parents. He always had to cover his true feelings to satisfy his parents desires. So I believe that him growing up like this caused him to behave in this manner with CKY. He didn't have to pitch a fit with her decisions and he should have been honest about his desires with her. CKY was wrong too for trying to shut him out completely after the family meeting. She put herself through more pain then she had to. This drama has been showing a lot about the consequences that come with having a closed mind, too much power, and not truly expressing your feelings.

But, why is it that the trailer or the last episode seems to show that Dan is gone?- as CKY cries out that he misses him.

And now, it looks like the writer wants me to believe that secretly, he loves her and that is why he did all that stuff? And somehow its his parents fault? Explain that again to my simple brain again. Worst waste of my valuable time. Let me know the next time am watching a drama from this director, writer, or actor, and I will not even waste a second on it.

Lala Dec 23 2014 3:01 am I just want to point some things out that I believe everyone is forgetting about the beginning of this drama. SPOILERS. Everyone is picking a side in this drama when that was not what they were trying to do. They showed both point of views in the drama. Gi Young was a successful, prideful woman who did not want her marriage life ending up like her mothers. She did not want to give up her life and depend on someone and be left alone. Then Tae Yeon's family is very patriarchal, and Gi Young's strong personality would not have mixed well in the submissive role she would've had to play. Then, everyone seems to have forgotten that Tae Yeon's family rejected Gi Young, they did not want to accept her into the family but they wanted to take her baby. Tae Yeon in the very beginning told Gi Young to abort the baby. Gi Young refused because she was told that there was a slim to 0% chance of her ever getting pregnant again. This was her first time getting pregnant and would have been her last time getting pregnant. So, Gi Young decided to raise the baby herself. It was Myung Yi who sabotaged their relationship. Then she married Tae Yeon. If they did not have so many conflicting forces and if Eun Cha had not been out to get Gi Young, then she and Tae Yeon would have eloped by now and she would have been married and they would have raised Dani-ah together.

IU Dec 23 2014 2:26 am This drama is really good. The scenario writer and the director esp could maintain the plot, so it is always interesting to watch each episode. As a viewer I really get emotional. I hate Tae Yun very much in ep 14 but then understand how he feels in ep 15. He already wounded by his family for all the years, he could not always be what he wanted to be. He always feel been rejected by his parents, if he wants live like he want. He could his parents attention if he follow what they want. So, then after he got Ki Young's attention and her love, then his has to decide (again) he feels nothing but confuse. Hope he could be mature after what he did to Ki Young. He is kind of sick person. Poor him. He really needs help. Hope he realize to show his love properly to his loved one, Ki Young and Cha Dan *why am I to emotional and make analysis, like this story really happen in a real world* but it could be. Who knows?! Hope really, this drama and all the casts get full attention for K Drama lovers especially in their own country.

I love the parts with Pedro and Sun-Nyeo: so cute because I thought they would end up together is some way. I've been waiting for PTY to finally figure out why he was doing what he was to Ki-Young - idiot, you love her and don't know how to deal with it. Ugh, how is this show going to end. I'm hoping PTY kicks his wife to the curb and ends up with the person he's been in love with (for a lot longer than he'd admit). Please end this drama is a good way, I don't think my heart can take it any more.

The only end I will like is if the father ends Cha Ki Young starts dating again, while Jo Eun Cha becomes the states man he aspires to be, and that dead beat, stupid, childish, annoying person called Park Tae Yun, should end up single and maybe playing a small role in the child's life. Now if they decide to make me beleive in the remaining episode, that somehow, out of the norm, Tae Yun and Cha Ki Young find love and live happily ever after, I will rate this as the worst waste of my valuable time ever, sorry but am not watching another drama from this guy. There is no way, a father acts like that because of love, those who are saying the behaviour is understandable need to recheck their lense and know that a 20+ year old does not drag his kid and mothers child through all that and secretly, they end up loving each other. Does not happen. I am only watching the last episode coz i feel like this will have a happy ending and mess up my opinion of all these actors.

Acting abilities - Cha Ki Young gets top marks, followed by Jo Eun Cha, I really love it when they are both together, and then Park Tae Yun shows up and messes it up. I had the most fun when Tae Yun disappeared. Bottom marks - Park Tae Yun - even if he wanted me to hate his character, he could have done that without the outrageous screaming at the camera, beating up people on the street - etc.

mina Dec 21 2014 2:12 am I agree with Emmageorge, I love this end, since PTY shows his love for his son, his love for Cha Ki Young was so much that he lives abroad and sleeps in car to avoid his unwanted wife, he put the parental test on his heart that shows the growing of his love for the child,he cries for his son at daycare and his feeling at the house for both is the best end, Dan wants his real dads. as the result PTY loves his son and having the custody so his name and wealth goes for his son, his parents and the ant loves the child too, his love for Ki Young was stable and hard, Eun Cha becomes politician and even president by being next to Ki Young, anyway he was on of the factors at first that threaten Ki Young to admit sperm donation, and I don't see any love just human feelings and achieving his goals, so the family is Dan and his parents, the only problem was PTY's feeling toward his and accepting the child that is eagerly solved even trough the court procedure.

Although Eun Cha constantly uses Gi Young and quite frequently back stabs her, he has been through a lot with her unlike Tae Yeon who can only build up a grudge and cause more trouble. A lot of people are weak to money, and power. Not everyone, but a lot and Eun Cha is definitely one of them, hopefully he knows his priorities. Realizes he actually likes Gi Young and Dan, and just be by their side even through the worst. Which is currently episode 14. Gah, like why?! Plus I think everyone just provoked Tae Yeon to go further with the court, custody, blah, blah, blah. The other couples are quite interesting too. Yeon Hee and Il-Joong have odd chemistry, their like friends almost? Like I can never in my life name one person I've ever met and will meet that live together, divorced and both dating other people. Also Joon Young seems like a calm carefree character but seriously? Not all girls will be completely happy with other females that are attractive and rich hanging around their lover. Pst, is it just me but I'm head over heels in love with Pedro? He's perfect. Haha, I want Pedro and Sun Nyeo to be together, they are like perfect. There's a really weird age gap and Sun Nyeo does not look young... But, whatever I like Sun Nyeo's personality, like she defended Gi Young even with all the people hating on her. She has her own beliefs and opinions even though people like her family say something she knows what's right and what's wrong. Plus, like what Pedro said she has a personality of a high schooler. Pedro is such a sweet talker and he's so perfect and ideal. Oh my god.

Even if Eun Cha gets halfway better he still has too far to go to be worth keeping. Tae Yeon remains hopelessly self pitying and foolish. He deserves Myung Yi. If the writer does anything redeeming for this drama then she has to figure out how to resolve Dan's father issue. At least make Tae Yeon become a good father so that he doesn't become neurotic. She made Gi Young lie to Dan about his father loving him. I am hopimg that is because in the end he will.

This drama now is like a merry-go-round without any focus. The way it goes, is trying so hard to create upbeat by stirring up feeling in all direction, resulting a court hearing, yet still gets nowhere. So far it is not something that we already know. For that many years while Gi-Young's son is growing up and she was then and still is totally alone. Where is this Eun-Cha all this time??? Only for his election as his primary motive now supposedly is turning to a good guy (…he’s still very creepy). For Gi-Young who has always been so reluctant with ‘marriage’, asks Eun-Cha to marry her. Crazy, so unbelievable! C'mon, it is really getting to be so frustrated. What we need is Tae-Yeon becomes strong and matured (after all it's been years and he had been aboard, cannot be that stupid and immature now giving his academic and wealthy background). The way he is behaving still like 'frog in the well' is absolutely ridiculous. It is time for him to come out as a saviour, rid of that evil witch, waking up now with the knowledge of what she has done. He's timid but definitely not low intelligence!!! The little boy wants his real dad and Gi-Young obviously still loves him. Spice up the plot with some heroic and protective act from Tae-Yeon. It’s disappointing that he has so little part of it. Out with some clever ideas as the white knight to save the true meaning of the title of this drama 'Greatest Marriage' with a complete FAMILY!

He comforted, helped her and practically became the father of her child, that the real biological father, Tae Yun could not be. He wouldn't be a fit husband or child because he hasn't grown up and matured. Cha Ki Young would be a mother to him rather than wife. Eun Cha on the other hand, hasn't been all good, but he has done his best. Sometimes passion isn't enough, trust, loyalty and strength in a friendship can be become a good relationship. When she's around Tae Yun, she cries and feels frustrated and dead, while when she's around Eun Cha, she may be weirded out, but she's happy and smiles and feels grateful. Your not supposed to cry when you are with a person but rather smile. And that is what Eun Cha does, he makes her remember that he is on her side in his own a way, a true friend, a loyal friend and a great companion.

Georg Dec 11 2014 2:10 pm Ep 13 - So we just have to remember that this is a melodrama. 1. It is expected that it will be a far fetched storyline. I don't think GY realized until it was too late that TY's family is wealthy/powerful or that she couldn't go abroad to quietly have the baby. 2. GY hasn't changed but she now has to consider how her decisions will affect her child. It's pretty obvious that if the public finds out she lied - they will vilify her not just as a single mother (based on society morals) but also a manipulator of both the public and TY's family. If her character is destroyed in court no one will believe her story. Even in other countries when people fall from public favor things get pretty ugly. As a single mother the only protection she has is from her public supporters and a job to help her feed her son. 3. I think she should try to find a lawyer who won't betray her when faced with TY family lawyers. She needs to find out if child custody waiver TY signed is legally valid. WAIT for them to claim she didn't tell TY about baby - and then introduce waiver to show TY is lying. If they build their whole case around that she can introduce evidence --> cctv footage, the signed waiver, meet with his parents and record threats, introduce the fact he got two women pregnant at same time, etc.

If these characters do not change, it is best that she remains alone with her child (nothing wrong with that).

Shorebunny Dec 07 2014 11:05 am I watched Episode 13 today and it was written so far-fetched having her arrested by the police at Tae Yon's house for trying to take back her own child that they kidnapped that he signed his arental rghts over was too much. She was an anchorwoman and the child's picture and face was known after the fashion show. Why wouldn't she go to the very public to get support and reveal the truth to save her child even if it meant some more shame on herself. Sorry But I will no longer watch this show . The writers have ruined it for me because I would go to hell and through hell and back for my child and I am a single parent to one daughter. I know it's 'drama' but this is one time where art doesn't reflect life. Just a ridiculous premise that a strong woman becomes weak after she has & raises a child. It is the opposite. Our child/children give us greater strength.

I saw no-minwoo's acting in Pasta, my girlfriend is gumiho, rock rock rock, midas, god's gift 14days and Full house take 2.. and he was good at acting.. always be different character. I think he's like chameleon. He does good job as taeyeon's character. Rude, short temper, childish, arrogant.. show his deep love but doesn't know how to express it. Like song "crazy love" composed by him really express taeyeon feeling. So far till ep.12 I still enjoy this drama. Yeah I know this drama a little bit makjang. But I still put it in my list of favorite drama this year. I hope the ending doesn't disappoint.

I commend the writers for trying to make a strong female lead,who is unafraid to go against the grain. I am however disappointed that they cant make it belivable! Cha Gi-Young is all bravado she still allows herself to be treated horribly by thease peoplewithout taking any real action. AlsoPark Tae-Yeon is a joke! I find it hard to muster any sympathy for him;did he not make it clear that he wanted nothing to do with the child! Come on people ,why are we still wanting her to end up with him? He has been in agony for three years but it's still unclear to me why. The loss of the woman the child,the contract marraige. Granted he did try to marry her but who could blame her for not wanting that life. This is like watching a tragic car accident,I hate that they are giving one episode a week I just want to be put out of my missory already.

Tats Dec 02 2014 8:33 am I really can't sympathize with MY. the only part where I could was at the abortion clinic because, despite the fact that I am personally pro life but believe that women should have the choice of whether or not to abort a child, abortion itself is not as easy as ppl portray it to be and it looked seriously scary when she was strapped down. I felt for her at that point. But anything else really didn't get my sympathy. I really hate characters like her. Why did she get to act like she was betrayed? TY had no relationship with her whatsoever and it was only her that was after him. No promises or declarations were made. And although I don't consider this any sort of real indication of interest, I will give MY this. He gave her a dress (which, apparently, because Koreans take a centimeter and make it 10 miles when it comes to interest, is like a proposal). All her actions afterwards were just because she wanted to marry a rich man. It makes me sick to my stomach that she get anything at all. I try not to wish evil on ppl in dramas b/c they tend to be about being understanding to everyone's plight. But I really hope she does not get anything from that family. But her being pregnant is his fault anyways so I guess I can't wish that the child suffers for her evilness.

This is so wrong, there is nothing wrong with strong independent women On a different note, I really really really hate that gold digger MY.. I sincerely hope something really bad happens to her, SERIOUSLY; what the hell is her deal, she already has the money, why is she acting like such a little #@*ch!! But for real, sometimes I get disappointed because the evil characters never get what they deserve; I've seen some dramas where they just let them be with a small pat in the back after a brief scolding. WHAAAT, NOOO, this skank MY has to die horribly or suffer immeasurable pain... Please writers, do something fun, for all of us who really hate this thing (she is too sub level, she can't be called a human being) Of course I hate TY and his family, they don't deserve GY!! They are cowards that hide behind their money, power and their blind stupidity. What an annoying, dysfunctional mess they call a "family"... TY has been a coward, a stubborn brat, a crybaby and a pathetic wuss; hence I would rather see GY end up alone, bravely raising her child. Or heck, introduce a new male lead, a new character, a real man; not like the bastard EC or the stupid TY... Finally, I really hope that this drama can help start changing these horrible things in Korea; it is really sad to think that this things happen in real life, and that sluts like MY really exist!!

On the other hand EC has no problems relating to the child. He may even have bonded since he was there at the baby's birth. Then there is the issue of the contracts they all signed. In the end, I don't know who the child will be calling Daddy and who GY will be sleeping with. But what is clear to me, GY will retain custody of the child. Grandparental rights will probably be a given. And I don't care what happens to that scheming b***h, MY.

I hate that old evil ancient backward thinking couple. They can take myung yi and recite the generations together while practicing calligraphy. It looks like tae yeon has been living right on the edge of insanity, so it will be interesting to see what 12 brings us closer to in terms of a relationship with gi young. Jo eun cha is a dead beat man and would be the worst of all dads. He acts like he is higher than a kite on cocaine ALL THE TIME. And and the only thing that is important to him is HIM. Except when it is him. Or him. I love this show.

I know in here BSB (as EC) is main male role, but I think in real life it would be perfect if TY, GY & 815 are live together. And it would be mean "greatest marriage" right? GY & TY both of them through so much pain, wanna protect each other, but they always miscommunication & misunderstand. This drama has a fast pace and on ep11 they jump to 3 years later which makes me a bit disappointed because I really want to see Jo Eun Cha interaction with 815 and how he slowly learn and changed from sexist to a good husband material..

After 3 years, Jo Eun Cha is still Jo Eun Cha and now he wanted to help Cha Gi Young just because of his political career. Since I already gave up on Tae Yeon-Gi Young relationship (and I think Jo Eun Cha is the lead), I really wish to see some development between Jo Eun Cha and Cha Gi Young but just like the trend of this drama, the development will be fast or maybe nothing at all?

The contract between Jo Eun Cha And Gi Young that saying Gi Young has to be his wife if he lost in the election is kinda interesting for me. How come he can come out with that kind of thought?hmmm

If Cha Gi Young will finally married one of the guy at this moment, I still cant see what's great about the marriage.

Every country has its challenges and yes south korea can do better, but to say that usa is a real progressiv in every aspect is an illusion most americans often have! Her rich husband truly loved her even though she caused a lot of pain to others. This gold digger Myung Yi just wanted status and would sacrifice love and respect from her husband just to get to the topic. She could not care if the husband had a full time mistress as long as she had the title. Min Jung would have taken out any woman who would come near her man! She was a much classier gold digger! LOL

He is only rebellious to his father and too much pride giving in to Gi-Young, admitting that he loves only her and his son. Yet it is so contradicting that he let the Gold Digger continue to manipulate him, making him feel guilty. I hope the writer is not going to make a pitiful despicable wretch into a likeable saint. With such a big part it looks like the writer is inching her way to make that Myung-Yi's character an angel in the end and Tae-Yeon is ending up with her....I myself for one, really do not like seeing too much of her on the screen.

It deals with issues not often tackled in Kdrama were "amor vincit omnia" seems to be the guiding philosophy and the issues of being a woman in a patriarchal society are never mentioned once the happy couple are together. In this case, a woman's right to keep her own child is being addressed. Other dramas have shown women having their babies taken away by the fathers' families. In this drama, we actually see a woman struggling against society and even the law to keep her baby while she keeps her highly visible job. If she winds up with the father of her child, I will feel swindled. He is a spoiled brat and a baby man who deserves the equally spoiled gold digging second lead. Just the fact that he would make Gi Young becoming his mistress a condition of signing off on his paternity rights excludes him from the possibility of a serious relationship. If the Gi Young character ultimately has to back down and marry one of the male characters in this series then at least let it be Pedro. He is the only decent guy we've seem so far.

krystal Nov 06 2014 4:48 am This drama makes you mad in one ep and happy the next cause the story line is so fresh and new in a surprising/unexpected way. I was going to give up in ep 6 when i found out that gold digger was prego but good thing i hung in there cause ep8 was good. Now i cant wait for ep9 to get my blood pressure rising again..lol this drama definitly draws you in. the thing that i like about this drama is theres non of that long frustrating misunderstandings between the charactures which normally drags on throught the whole drama because they dont stand up for themselves. In this drama it seems like they like to tell eachother off with is kind of refreshing cause you dont see alot of that in kdramas.

For example [spoiler] when the rich guy taked the news ancor lady home to ask for marriage and the rick guys father insultes her. Yes thats common in kdramas but what makes it diffrent was when she actually puts him in his place for badmouthing her mother, and then walks out like a boss after rejecting the marriage.

Im definitly going to stick with this drama till the end cause im curious if the ending will also set its self apart from the all to familliar typical endings that all kdrama wathchers are all to familiar with.

I want him to end up with Gi Young at first but when i know he slept with Myung Yi, that's it! Not once but several times. If you really love a women, even when you just wanted to make her jealous, is it necessary to sleep with the other women you dating? He might be immature, but i just cant accept that fact. If I were Gi Young, I will definitely feel disappointed and will cut all ties with him..

Frosty Nov 04 2014 4:30 pm This could be an interesting. It seems everybody is using someone to get what they want. News Girl wants to keep her baby but needs News Guy to fake a relationship. (He loves only himself.). Chef loves News Girl but doesn't want to be a father. Thus the mistress contract. Gold Digger wants her status back so will marry Chef for that---even though I think she really does love Chef. The twist will be when News Guys bonds with that baby after it's born. The drama photo shows it to be a male child so that's points for New Girl as far as Chef's family. I have a feeling Gold Digger will have a daughter. So in effect, News Girl will safeguard her baby, perhaps be a mistress, and have a father figure for her son with News Guy.

isle Nov 02 2014 12:46 am I still cannot get who is the MAIN LEAD in this drama!It's so frustrating to tune in every week only to be puzzled for one more time!I am hoping Tae-Yeon does not get married to the evil Myung-Yi.But if,Mr.Eun-Cha is the one Gi-young is supposed to end up with,then they should not have focused on Tae-yeon and Gi-Young's story so much,cannot stand Eun-cha's screaming face and abhor the more I see his expressions.If it were actually about how Tae-Yeon get past his immature self and knows how to stand for himself,it would have been a great story,but not anymore I guess.The story is unfocused,unplanned and totally going into a wrong direction.

Well, she's succeeded. I too would not like to see Si-Yeon and Eun-Cha together. With characters whom have every inch evil in their bones, cannot simply change for good. Soo-Bin acts well in his role up to now and since he's the 1st lead, if Si-Yeon falls for him, I will definitely stop watching...so crap and unconvincing. I hate to say that there's a thing about the Korean drama, it's only a handful with happy and FULFILLING ending. The writers love to close the drama with a 'TWIST' while thinking it's special, it's a total turn off. Name a few, Lee Min Ho's Faith and City Hunter, all well until the end the main characters ending up staring at each other....Marry me if you dare, not knowing who ends up with who...unlike western production, all ending justified and that's entertainment!!!!!!

It started as a convenient companionship only relationship that could have blossomed into something more like a single mom fighting society's norms with help from the biological father. Now, it's just slimy. the biological dad is having unprotected sex with his ex-girlfriend's trashy co-worker out of spite. His parents would not accept the anchor, but, will accept the pregnant piece of trash as a daughter-in-law? The writer had one too many sojus!!

MJ Oct 27 2014 8:04 pm I've been watching this drama (up to ep. 7). I like the premise, but the Eun-Cha character seems excessively cruel to Gi-young. It's one thing to do things in a manner to achieve a goal, but Eun-Cha seems to take a sadistic pleasure in hurting the Gi-Young. If Eun-Cha is the 2nd lead, I think he's been two evil to reform into a sympathic character. The only likable male character is Pedro. I look forward the Pedro/Sun-nyeo interactions more than the Gi-Young/Tae-Yeon interactions. Tae-Yeon needs to grow a pair quick, if his character is to be redeemed.

my3views Oct 27 2014 8:44 am Two thumbs up for author Go Yoon-Hee, her drama The Greatest Marriage is wonderfully written and has sparked much needed discussions of age old shackles that are imposed on women. Gi Yoeng is a rough tough don't take shit off of no body(but not really) 21st century woman. The other major player in this drama is Tae Yeon a wounded immature but trying to find his center, step up to the plate- do the right thing, but is ham strung by insecurity served to him by his maniacal father. The two 2ndary lead actors Eun Cha is devious in a Machiavellian way and Myeong Yi the 2nd female lead is out and out coiled viper. The social challenges that face Gi Yeong are not common themes in Kdrama and has been the gadfly to needed conversation. I hope that Korea realized that changing, adapting, improving women's roles is not denouncing its' rich cultural heritage. But that a thinking country will bend and bow and strike down oppressive role definitions when it's to the benefit of its' greatest asset: Its' common men/women.

It'll never come down, seriously, unless something real horrible happens... Anyways, I love Park Si Yeon and Bae Soo Bin's character is freaking awesome. I never expected to like such a "horrible" person, but he's not that horrible, you know? He's so funny and entertaining. Great drama.

mm Oct 21 2014 7:50 am This is an interesting story and real life situations.The Chef loves anchor lady, but he is childish, stupid and immature. His parents are awful. CGY does not need him in her life. I like CGY character, she is a brave and good woman. In real life it is very difficult to be a single mother. No one is not with you, no one understands not. I like JEC, Bae Soo Bin makes a good job. I hope that JEC will fall in love with CGY. Park Si Yeon is wonderful in this role. Fighting!

I hate No Min Woo for sleeping with the trashy girl...seriously like even if you're mad sleeping with another woman is no excuse and besides the woman has your baby and is protecting you...and so as of right now this drama is out of control and sord of plummeting into not so good drama anymore...but ill try for another few episodes..just wish she will end up with NMW...ughh i hate dramas like this that run out of course...so far only Plus nine boys was good this year...still i wont give up now...FIGHTING SINGLE MOM Park Shi On

Orion Oct 20 2014 9:20 pm It's episode 6 and I have no idea which characters the writer had in mind for a greatest marriage/wedding! The drama/comedy started out well, then, began quickly falling off the tracks around episode 3-4. It's almost unwatchable at episode 6. The baby daddy is turning into trash along with his trick gold digger girlfriend he bought for $2 and change. His parents take domestic violence and hate to a new level. The lead is unfocused. I'm not sure what her purpose is besides defiance to society. The only characters worth watching are played by Bae Soo Bin and his character's mortal enemy played by Jo Eun Ji. The Emergency Husband, played by Chang Ki Young, does not have many lines. But, it is always great to watch his interaction with the chef's sister. I do hope they have the greatest marriage! The rest of the script is a hot mess!

consus Oct 19 2014 6:53 pm I had to warm up to this drama. No Min Woo as an actor, he is a great scene stiller and if he can get aside that, he is a good actor. I love Bae So Bin. I miss his good guy roles in romantic comedy/drama. I also like his latest role of the tough guy/evil dude one but not as much. This is my favorite thing about Korean Drama is actors I like can play many different characters.

salt n' pepper Oct 17 2014 1:24 pm I've seen all 5 episodes that came out so far and although I wouldn't call it addicting, I do have to say that I'm really liking it so far. Well, that is with the exception of Noh Min Woo. I really am not a fan of effeminate actors and I don't see the appeal, especially with his character's look in this drama. Bae Soo Bin's character is detestable for now but I'm liking the pairing between his character and hers. Park Si Yeon is really beautiful, as always, and I find myself staring at her whenever she's on screen. She's doing a really fine job with her character here, too. Siiigh, I'm not too happy about having to wait for only 1 episode per week. That's just pure evil. :( But if it means getting more ratings and attention for this show, then go ahead since it'll do the actors and production team well. :)

Ilee23 Oct 13 2014 6:21 pm I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS DRAMA!! I have no problem with Min Woo. He is effeminate but I view it as part of his quirky character. He is an excellent actor and he is playing this role in an exaggerated over the top manner because that is what is required of him. If you saw him in My Girlfriend is a Nine Tailed Fox, he did not display these mannerisms and he was super sexy in both roles. All of the actors are good. The story is so very interesting and I look forward to each episode. Each character is complex. Min Woo's character is proud and misunderstood and does not know how to communicate but is a good soul. This is a drama worth watching and I hope the network resumes the 2 episodes a week format.

His gayish because of his over dominating and old-fashion father. He looks immature but arrogant yet he is being responsible and asks her hands in marriage. He does not know how to express himself fully and his age is a hindrance for Cha Gi-Young relying upon him to provide her a stable family, that's probably what she thinks. Yet he is moving into her building and in his own way he wants to hang around her and care for her, wait to be seen. He shouldn't even look at that evil and money hungry Myung-Yi, it will be a total waste if he ends up with her. With such a silly development that she becomes good, it will be so disappointing and ruin everything. Even if Gi-Young not going with Tae-Yeon in the end, he should not have anything to do with Myung-Yi at all. Park Si-Yeon, No Min-Woo and Bae Soo-Bin are well placed and good acting!

The only thing that i might not be able to stand later is the evilness of the second female lead, Myung Yi. Oh yes, im a bit disturbed by No Min Woo, who is like a sissy (or maybe the character in the novel they adapted was like that?) but still..it is disturbing. Other than that, im satisfied. Looking forward to see how Jo Eun Cha transform bit by bit from being a mean and sexist guy to someone who cares and fall in love with Cha Ki Young.

I found it's quite refreshing to see a different sides of these actors; for example like Bae Soo Bin. I've truly hated his character in Secret drama (which mean he nailed that character) but in this drama, it's like total 360 degree transformation. It goes the same with No Min Woo, I can see the improvement in his acting compared to his previous drama. I wouldn't prefer if the same person playing the same lame character all over again for different dramas. But i have to agree with No Min Woo looking too girly in this drama; I wished he grew a beard or something to make him look a little bit masculine. Park Si yeon is cool actress as always

Mimi Oct 08 2014 4:28 pm I've watched all 4 episodes, and so far, it's interesting. Park Si-Yeon is a good actress and also very beautiful. No Min-Woo has had soooo much plastic surgery that he just looks like Michael Jackson....I keep waiting for his nose to fall off. I don't feel any chemistry; I'm actually skipping through the parts with him; it's unbelievable any woman would want to sleep with that plastic toy. Bae Soo-Bin is very charismatic and a good actor, and I think it's probably the director/writer's fault for this over-acting.... I also think he will have an epiphany of some sort, put his life together, become more considerate of others and get the girl in the end. At least I hope so, and it's usually how K-dramas work.

I don't picture him as a responsible father-to-be. Bae Soo-Bin's character is a little older, however, you could tell he is a player. He just coming off a scandal as well. Both leading men aren't desirable to me. I don't know what's going to happened, but I started seeing just episode 4 and a little of episode 3.

The problem with his character - the clothes he wears and the fact that he acts 10 years younger than the main female lead. That is why the gay comments are mentioned. If his dress and actions were maturer the comments would stop. Bae Soo-Bin is acting weird but his character in Secret gives him a pass from feminime like comments. Will not miss an episode. Just wish on Viki because I miss the viewer comments.
