Gareth Dec 18 2012 5:15 am Director Yojiro Takita has made an intelligent and uplifting movie. To make an absorbing film about astronomy and calenders is not easy but he has done it. The cast, script, music and production are all excellent, as mentioned in previous comments. I hope it will be released on DVD.

eeyore_kun Nov 18 2012 4:20 pm I watched in the JFF too last Saturday. It was excellent!!! I'm so glad I made the effort to watch this. I agree with InumePass it was great combi of acting, production and music. The music was excellent as expected from Joe Hisaishi. Also Yojiro Akita directing to the cast, Okada Junichi and Miyazaki Aoi acting. Thanks to JFF for bringing great movies to the festival!

InumePass Nov 18 2012 3:17 pm Beautiful movie! We rarely find astronomy and mathematics at the movies, so this is a rare experience. Wonderful acting, production and music. I look forward to more like this from director Yojiro Takita. (Saw it at the 16th Japanese Film Festival in Sydney, Australia.)
