Plot

Pyeong-Kang (Nam Sang-Mi) is a stubborn young lady who does lowly chores at a resort town to support her family. Pyeong-Kang once aspired to be a golf course designer like her late father, but after her father's unfortunate death, Pyeong-Kang was forced to become the bread winner for her family.

One day, Pyeong-Kang meets On-Dal (Ji Hyun-Woo), the son of the wealthy Woo family who who runs the resort town. The brash On-Dal instantly gets under Pyeong-Kang's skin with his arrogant behavior. This causes the pair to bicker and fight whenever they meet each other.

On-Dal's fate then becomes harsher when his father suffers a stroke. His step-mother (Choi Myoung-Gil) and step-brother (Kim Heung-Su) manuever to take over the family fortune leaving On-dal out in the cold.

The bitter rivals On-Dal and Pyeong-Kang join forces to retain what rightfully belongs to On-Dal.

Meanwhile, On-Dal's girlfriend (Cha Ye-Ryun) senses a change in On-Dal and feels they are drifting apart. There's also pro-golfer Edward (Seo Do-Young) who seems to take an interest in Pyeong-Kang, which stirs jealousy within On-Dal ...

Notes

"Taming of the Heir" takes over the KBS2 Mon. & Tues. 9pm time slot previously occupied by "The Queen Returns" and will be replaced by "Master of Study" on January 4, 2010.
"Taming of the Hier" is a modern reinterpretation of the classic Korean folktale "Fool On-dal and Princess Pyeong-kang" (바보 온달과 평강공주).

Park Min Jan 22 2023 9:13 pm It's not that bad but it's not that good either. The wacky chaotic energy is what makes it watchable, otherwise it had nothing else going on for it. The romance absolutely sucked so don't expect much.

akain Apr 21 2015 11:39 am its a good comedy show..the male lead has good comic timing..the female lead although not very beautiful does reasonably natural acting..although towards the end the drama becomes cheesy like most comedy dramas,but still on the whole its an entertaining series

Aj Aug 06 2014 1:01 pm Love this one and the wonderful leads so much. The entire cast works, with Ji Hyun Woo and Nam Sang-mi a gorgeous, sizzling, and hysterically funny team. This series includes comedy, romance, time slip, family, friendship, ethics, intrigue, forgiveness, and even more. It is a delight from the beginning to a VERY satisfying closure. Not to be missed.

Ronaldo Oct 25 2013 5:31 am I can say that I've been annoyed for almost half of the story because of much stupidity and trying hard to exaggerate the comedy scenes. From then on wards, I can say that it becomes really natural funny and romantic. And as what many said, the ending was awesome, anger and evil doings were overcome by forgiveness and positive vision and mission in moving forward....
