Plot

Directed by Shimoyama Ten, the dazzling "SHINOBI: HEART UNDER BLADE" centers on In 1614, Japan is unified under the first shogun Tokugawa. Two rival ninja clans are isolated deep in the mountains. One clan is led by Oboro (Yukie Nakama) and the other by Gennosuke (Joe Odagiri). By imperial decree the two clans have been prevented from waging all out war. Oboro and Gennosuke meet without knowing each other's identity and fall in love. Meanwhile, Tenkai Nankobo (Renji Ishibashi) fears rebels may enlist the help of the ninjas and devises a way to reignite their rivalry.
