Momo Adachi (Mizuki Yamamoto) is a female high school student. She appears to be a wild girl due to her tan skin and dyed hair, but she is a actually naive and sweet student. Since her days in middle school, Momo Adachi has secretly held feelings for classmate Toji (Mackenyu). Meanwhile, the most popular male student, Kairi Okayasu (Kei Inoo), becomes interested in her. Her friend Sae (Mei Nagano) is jealous of her and tries to block Toji from Momo. Momo is conflicted with Toji and Kairi, but she has to make a decision.

Based on manga series "Peach Girl" by Miwa Ueda (published from October 1997 to January, 2004 in Japanese shojo manga magazine Bessatsu Friend ).

TXT*MOA Aug 27 2020 9:51 pm when I heard that they were gonna do a live a live action of peach girl in 2017 i was super excited, the minute they posted the movie on the site I usually watch movies from I was so happy, I loved the movie the first time I watched it (2017) but now (2020) that I rewatched it I noticed how cringy it was. still thankful that this movie introduced me to Kei Inoo and Mackenyu hihi

nerdy boy Apr 10 2020 2:04 am TBH major cringe. Their faces were really intense unnecessarily and overexaggerated- especially when they are mad. why they be rolling their eyes though??? The "best friend" was actually a legit psychopath. She made me want to punch her NGL. Attractive cast but the main dude's hair makes him seem gay. I did not think he would actually end up with the girl but instead a gay best friend. I wanted to eat that momo cake at the end tho. Until next time XOXO gossip girl

Peach Girl BIGFAN Feb 02 2018 6:30 am What are the theme songs used in this movie? Especially in the very first part in which they are on the beach scene. Please I badly want to know cause it's really good to hear and it fits in the scene. This Movie is the best japanese movie I've ever watch. I'm so addict to it. But I like toji the most, he is sooooo handsomeeeee but I also like the ending that momo and kairi become together Very very very recommended ????

Rene Nov 18 2017 10:15 am It was a very cute and light romance movie. I would definitely rewatch this on my free time. If you want some cuteness and don't mind some classic cliches, watch this! The ending makes me smile and happy. The main hero is so cute I love his character very much. He's cute but he can be very cool and charming too. The girl is pretty too. The main couple has such pretty smile especially during the ending scene.. they looks so beautiful and cute and heart fluttering.

Though I think I watched her before somewhere? A live-adaption too?

Miiiru Feb 14 2017 10:01 am This movie is very very promising, as if it will have some grand humor (and presentation of it) like Heroine Disqualified. The only problem is....Momo isn't tan enough!! Not like how beautifully dark her skin was in the anime... But the actress in the trailers gives Momo that kind of boldness you'd expect from the character. The movie will be great. (My opinion)

Considering the whole story began with her character being insecure about her skintone. If they didnt want to make her darker then couldnt they have atleast gotten a actress who had a darker complexion. Im curious how sweet looking Mei is going to play evil Sae and do the memorable evil laugh? Other than that im very pleased with the casting. Im so excited to see how Kei Inoo will take on the role as Okayasu!!
