Jang Ho-Woo (Kim Myung-Soo) works as an accountant at Taeil Accounting Firm. That company is one of the 4 big accounting firms in South Korea. Jang Ho-Woo happens to be the only employee at Taeil Accounting Firm with just a high school diploma, but he is very intelligent. He faces absurdities at the accounting firm and fights for justice. Meanwhile, Han Seung-Jo (Choi Jin-Hyuk) also works at Taeil Accounting Firm. He has a perfect background and his father works as a vice president at Taeil Accounting Firm.

Sophisticated plot with an excellent list of actors makes this series leaving you wanting more. Hopefully, more seasons will be made as the show has an open ending leaving us craving more!

Jillibean Dec 08 2023 4:10 am Excellent drama with excellent cast. Math and numbers not my favorite subjects but this script and the acting kept me interested anyway. Nice OST, too. Definitely recommended. As for the low ratings in Korea that doesn't reflect badly on the drama since today with cable Koreans have many more drama selections to make across all channels so there's far more competition. The vast majority of Korean dramas today receive less than 5% ratings. Gone are the days of Choi Min Soo's Sandglass (1995) which got 65% ratings when most Koreans didn't have cable television yet.

Corr Aug 19 2023 10:34 am Choi Jin Hyuk was awesome in the first few episodes. The accounting storyline is very gripping at times but sometimes the exciting music is a bit out of place. Love the chairman of Taeil when he finally appeared in the later ep. Sharp and benevolent. Don’t know whether it was done on purpose but Jang Ho Woo got very annoying and infantile. He wants revenge but anything he gets new information he acts all huffy.

Sindrick Jul 30 2023 11:42 am The script and plot twists here are amazing. Can we appreciate how good Choi Min-Soo is as an actor. The metaphors that his character gives amazes me. I actually felt bad for him on the final episode after he was betrayed for the last time. I really hope he stopped being greedy and give up. But on the final episode he still keeps going. What an amazing character. I researched and I found out that he is the old man on the Extracurricular kdrama, from a fighter to an accountant.

A little romance here is a just good and enough. But why is that the kiss is not real hehe

Lobbbbbbby Jul 16 2023 9:57 am The show is doing the eureka moment from suits on L's character,like girl will say something and he will have an epiphany but show has done it so excessively that now it feels tiring, even suits didn't use thsi trope so much. Like girl will sneeze and jang howoo will get an idea.

Having said that it's a greatshow no doubt. The way han je kyung is working as double agent is it possible as in how common would it be. And the whole murder attempt was too brutal, gosh hyun woo shouldn't have taken rosks to go there without security.

If Tracer is about Accounting Govt Agencies, Numbers is about the Accounting Firm. Its like you can see two side of the stories. Somehow, i keep imagining Im Si Wan as Ho Woo. Currently its good. But Must be better with Im Si Wan

Like there are law dramas like law school which was good, then there are law dramas like why her which was so caricaturish and lacked substance, this show is on par with law school in susbtance, they need to make more of such shows that carry susbtance and good content.

I thinm on verge of insanity was one of the best hows from mbc and now this.

Billa Jun 28 2023 11:59 am Cant agree more with huyy. The best ongoing drama ❤️ Came to see this because of Choi Jin Hyuk, but then I was hooked because of the story. After the first two episodes, I really cant wait for another. Its thrilling. I guess the idea of audit / accounting company setting is quite new in kdrama world, actually makes it even more interesting to watch. And of course L's performance. He really gave me a strong impression after watching The Emperor: Owner of the Mask. He's just perfect for this character.

The first two episodes were promising. Cant wait for the next episodes with more intense conflicts and twists. And hoping that it gains more recognitions in the future.

Overall, it has great storyline and portraits by a great acting as well. I’m not familiar with audit firms, but I enjoyed the show.

Show is very good overall, mbc came up with a great show after on verge of insanity.

Excellent script --- first two episodes captures a wide array of experiences I'm sure many have been exposed to --- CPA firms amd law firms are moving battlefields, where the actual hiring practices can easily make or break a firm! (An example: I was once an IT contractor at a law firm and saved them some money from my process improvements there so when a job opening arose inTech Support I applied, but they opted instead foe a woman, not as experienced as myself, and who had been fired from her last two law firm employers for embezzling (Yes, I said embezzling)?! One day they arrived at work and found all their operation account funds had disappeared --- why Bogle & Gates is no more (yes, in Seattle, that Gates family)!

I can’t wait to watch the succeeding episodes to know what will happen. Kim Myung Soo has indeed evolved into a better actor as seen in the heavy scenes in the first episode. He has shown the right emotions in each situation. All the other cast members have also been good in portraying their characters. I hope, they remain consistent in the coming episodes.
