During spring, 2nd year university student Izumi Kudo (Kasumi Arimura) receives a phone call from Takashi Hayama (Jun Matsumoto). Takashi Hayama was her adviser/teacher at her high school drama club. He asks her on the phone to take part in a graduation performance. Back in high school, Takashi Hayama helped her cope with difficulties with her school life. She eventually fell in love with Takeshi, but tried to forget about him. Now, for the first time in a year they meet again. Izumi still has feelings for him and Takashi also has mixed feelings for Izumi.

There are movies on indecisiveness till last 10 minutes such as L DK, Ao Haru Ride, Orange while they end on positive note. But this one, takes it to next level. There are cruel domination with sadomasochism scenes toward the end. It was hard to watch.

Kasumi Arimura san's role is a strong one. She portrayed each turn of emotional ups and downs vividly. Still, the end is bad. We should have expected the end, by watching it for first 20 minutes into the movie.

The movie is so slow, you would feel time has stopped around you in real life. Everyone speaks slowly, walks slowly. opens the door so slowly, and the movie is 2 hrs 20 Minutes.

Aelia Feb 03 2020 9:18 am I realized this was Kasumi Arimura. I first saw her in Chugakusei Nikki where she played as a teacher. Here, she was the student. I think that simple detail really somehow caught me.

Wayer Jul 07 2018 10:42 am Movie is long & winded, but ain't human emotion is similar? Indecisiveness, having second thoughts make us human. The movie is bittersweet, tells the story about surviving love. I wish for Kudo-san to find a happiness with her colleague.. hehe

I like Matsujun in the movie, he seems matured. Yet, his babyface beats that, and hard for me to digest him being a highschool teacher : D

Anyway, the movie isn't bad and isn't something remarkable as well. If you love the cast and isn't the type to hate sad stories then give it a shot. At this point there should actually be a best second lead guy award solely for Kentaro Sakaguchi LOL

Ki Oct 28 2017 11:25 am Did not like the film, primarily due to lack of empathy for lead male character Takashi Hayama (Jun Matsumoto). His constant luring and then backing away was annoying at first, but became maddening by the end of the film. For Izumi Kudo (Kasumi Arimura), honestly, I thought she should have just kicked him in the nuts and called it a day.

The structure of the film reminded me of director Isao Yukisada drawing back to his prime days and an attempt to recreate some of the magic from his romance film "Crying Out Love, in the Center of the World." Both films goes back and forth between present and past days, involves a love triangle (with one younger girl) and features lots of rainy day shots for ambiance. "Crying Out Love, in the Center of the World" though is way better.

Still love the fact that he still do 2nd lead roles although in his few current projects he plays the lead role. There's something about him that really perfects the 2nd lead role. ?

I see my self in that girl who fall for her own sensei.... and the craziest part is the sensei i admired have the same glasses in that actor..!! its hurts.. T^T I know its illegal so i keep my mouth shout.. But i think sensei notice me to.. Cause we give a glance to each other when we pass by and its okay for me in that kind of relationship..^~^ *Oh! 45illa Jun 22 2017 1:06 pm very excited! from the trailer I could totally see how jun captured Hayama quite well. his character is very calm and sad in each frame! also kasumi look lovely with short hair <3 people need to stop from posting about Maojun in each of his new work learn how to keep your delusions to yourself.. he is an actor/singer/entertainer who had his own place before all. be respectful.
