Takashi Honami (Yutaka Takenouchi) is an associate professor in mathematics. He has a problem talking with others. His wife Nao (Rie Mimura) becomes fed up with him and takes their child and leaves him. His boss at the university tells him to take a speech class, but Takashi Honami encounters trouble with his instructor Kyoko Ezaki (Kumiko Aso). A few days later, he meets Kyoko Ezaki again at an unexpected place.
