Setoka Tachibana (Tao Tsuchiya) is a female high school student. She has confessed her feelings to other boys 12 times, but has been rebuffed each time. Her older brother Haruka Tachibana (Ryota Katayose) cares for his younger sister deeply, but he holds a secret from Setoka. The secret is that they are not blood related. One day, Setoka's first love Takane Serikawa (Yudai Chiba) appears after many years and approaches her.

But I'm just gonna be blunt about how this movie is sooo much cringeworthy for my taste, but I Bear with it, because I love how this story idea being delivered. I always love Tao, but the other casts's visuals are unexpectedly suits my cup of tea, too, especially Ryota and Yudai Chiba. So eye-candy.

Still hoping for season 2 even it's impossible. I hope that True Love manga will get movie/anime in the future, and other famous brocon/siscon manga. Only the story but hantai desu if real kyoudai.

I have to say even though it was cringy af but i actually really liked it. My heart was pounding at some scenes and the ending was adorable. I just wish the kiss at the end was a bit more passionate keeping in mind that their love of like 17 years had finally blossomed so they wouldn't be able to keep their hands off each other. But I understand that they cant get too wild for viewers sake lol. For anyone who was into shouju manga and anime this is a must watch. Its so cute lol. I dont even know why but I have post drama/movie depression lol.

Hana Feb 14 2018 1:52 am I seriously do not know how I was able to finish this. This movie plus the 5-episode drama is too..too..how do I say it.. too shoujo-ish. There's an avalanche of shoujo cliches I got so irritated, yet, I just laughed. I laughed because I hated it. Hahahahaha still can't believe I endured watching this movie. Fans, don't kill me. I have the same stand with this movie --> Kurosaki kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai. Hahaha not really my cup of tea. Kbye

Susan Sep 15 2017 12:26 pm The movie will be out on DVD/bluray on the 10th of January 2018. It is a long wait indeed. I like the chemistry between Tao and Ryota. They look really good together too. I didn't expect that when I first heard about the news of them filming last year. So this was a pleasant surprise. Hope they will collaborate again soon.

The manga's story centers on two siblings: Setoka is an unpopular but romantic high school student, and her brother Haruka is a delinquent youth, but cares for his younger sister more than anything else. The two are not related by blood, but only Haruka knows about this. The abrasive Takane Serigawa, Setoka's first love, returns after many years, and begins to get closer to Setoka again. After that, Setoka is the target of many older men's affections, and it seems like the first popular phase in Setoka's life has begun.

Yagami launched the manga in Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine in 2015. Shogakukan published the fourth compiled book volume in September, and Volume 4.5 shipped in Japan on December 26. A live-action film adaptation of the manga, starring Ryōta Katayose, Tao Tsuchiya, and Yudai Chiba, will open in Japan on June 30.
