Mike Feb 20 2025 2:07 am I completely agree with everyone saying female lead didn't deserve sympathy as she never fully realised the gravity of her mistake and at the end male lead is the one who has to give in. The writers tried hard to put the perspective of female lead as somewhat justified which has messed it up for them. I think that is the reason for low rating and deservedly so. I think this is handled much better in male lead's other kdrama My Mister.

angrily Jun 27 2024 7:25 am Basically, the husband's fault was not being not even a "mind" reader, but a "future mind" reader. I.e. not knowing something FL didn't know herself, and was uncommunicative about and outright lied about when she knew. So, his mistake was actually trusting her, as for the affair. Incomparable to actually deliberately deceiving someone indefinitely without guilt, or risk jeopardizing her son's happiness and wrecking her family over a whim (wanting to protect her family my foot).

@Jil ML obviously had every right to be angry, and to say what he wanted and cut off his wife. She was evasive and uncommunicative, getting answers out of her was like pulling teeth. He had just found out a horrific truth about her. Plus, she could have easily talked about everything from her issues to the affair before, but she didn't, and "now" that her affair was discovered, she wants to change the topic when it's convenient for her? I think not. He simply did not owe it to her to listen to her hogwash. I mean, you discover such a shocking thing just recently, and you are not all too inclined to graciously swallow the excuses and framing of the liar and cheater that did this to you: shocker!

ML obviously had every right to be angry, and to say what he wanted and cut off his wife when he heard her make excuses, answer evasively, being unclear and changing the topic, or just spouting hogwash/framing the situation in a very convenient (for her) manner and unconvincing way, when it didn't make sense. Which what was she did: she was apathetic, evasive and non committal. And if someone discovers you were ready to deceive them indefinitely, they would obviously not be all that inclined to just sit there and swallow everything you want to say, without a comeback. Obviously.

This is exactly like Astrid in Crazy Rich Asians' movie, who didn't just stand there and listen to her husband talk about feeling useless, her family and trying to make this into "both of us" thing, and to put it on her. Correctly: she didn't have to listen to his nonsense. If he wanted to talk, he should have talked before having an affair. He didn't, and he slept around. So she doesn't have to graciously let his spout his nonsense.

And, in that movie as in this drama, it's perfectly fine for them to split up. Divorce is a thing. The notion that they would need to live together for the kid is repulsive: as the kid, I would absolutely hate for my mother (FL's lover's wife), for example, to stay with someone that treated her that way, particularly for my sake when I didn't have a say in the matter and didn't know (in fact, if I knew, I would encourage her to get a divorce and maybe have an affair on her way out: I 100% supported the woman that cheated on the guy who had a kid out of wedlock behind her back).

Jackpapa Jan 31 2022 1:37 am I enjoyed this drama. I did not understand the story and did not like the (opened) happiness ending of this K-drama at the first time. So, I rewatched it again to understand more. The story made the wife SY’s character so complicated. SY’s character seemed that she kept things in herself and did not want to upset anyone although she was exhausted. She, as written, seemed to be an innocent girl and did not intentionally betray her husband and should deserve forgiveness at the end. However, the story showed so many scenes leading the Viewers to doubt if she deserved forgiveness and happy ending.

SY was a career worker and also did a housewife job with her best trying to be a good mom and housewife. Her husband HW “unintentionally” overlooked her burdens and overworks because he always thought that SY was a perfect wife.
She had once an adultery with her lover SW and pretended nothing happened under her smiling face with her family in the past 6 months.
She loved her husband but also missed her lover. SY was not a flirtatious women type, so when she allowed another man to physically touch her body, it meant that she also loved SW. She and her lover SW did not want to divorce their own families and had their imagination that affair without having divorce in mind was the way to not destroy their own families.
She planned to have the 2nd affair with her lover by lying to her husband about the ending time of her office meeting. The meeting ended much earlier than what she had told her husband . She planned a spare time to have an affair with her lover before she went to pick up her son.
The (2nd) physical affair did not yet happen because it got caught red-handed by her husband at the hotel.
The scene did not clearly show that she regretted and felt guilty for the affair after it got caught. She did not clearly said to her husband that she would stop seeing her ex-lover SW “from now on” but rather said “for now” instead. She and SW were still working on a project together as company partners. It seemed like she did not think that her relationship with her ex-lover would not yet end and she might hope to refresh and continue their love again.
When she and her husband firstly sat down and talked together, she acted so “calmly” when she said to her husband that she was sorry for what she had done. She added that she did not do this to get divorced pretending like there was no ever affair happening because it was early caught up. But her husband did not trust her and pushed her the question if she had slept with SW which she could not deny.
It was NOT her to end the affair relationship. It was her ex-lover who dumped her and requested her boss to take her out form the project. Later, her ex-lover’s wife came to belittle her. SY did not dare seeing SW again.
It seemed that SY just realized that her ex-lover did not love and cared her. She felt sad and hurt …. Now she started to feel guilty and remorseful that she was hurting her husband and kept saying apologies endlessly in the show.

So, when comparing HW’s unintentional overlooking her burdens VS her intention in cheating her husband, the mistake level was not totally unequal. While ‘This week’ drama was the story of HW to grow maturely, improve himself, understand his wife more, it did not show much scenes of SY’s improvement to gain her husband’s trust. So, it was hard for me to be sympathetic on her to deserve the ending happiness story.

The husband may be mad and felt betrayed and all, due to the affair of the wife, but i find his attitude annoying as well. He always said what he want and cut off the wife.

I just felt sorry for the kid. These kinds of parents should not be given a kid. They are both bastards and deserve hell.

Terry Mar 29 2021 7:57 pm This series aggravated the heck out of me from episode 2. They continued to try to make you sympathize with the wife who cheated on her husband. Even when she tried to make him think he was the reason for all of it because he didn't protect her from the mess that she made herself. She set herself for failure trying to be the perfect mother, employer and wife but was so overwhelmed? And yet she found time to cheat for 6 months and almost wreck another relationship because the man noted things about her. Literally did exactly what cheating men do but she felt special and was surprised when it backfired with him too. She never spoke up. She wanted to have it all like the stay at home moms but worked full time like those mothers could do those things because their worlds center around their children only. She tried to do it all at work but she had a child that got in the way often. She wanted to be the perfect wife but never told him that she was in over her head but instead chose to cheat. Then left and took the child that she still couldn't take care of. She was always selfish, thinking only she could do it and that was her whole problem. She was selfish! I feel no sympathy for her and wish he wouldn't have gotten back with her, she didn't deserve it.

goodspede Dec 04 2020 11:57 pm I just binged this drama and I loved it. It was a rollercoaster of a ride where I found myself at one point rooting hate and then turning to love. It started out feeling like a comedy and it ends up giving your emotions the feel of how some married couples go through a divorce based off of infidelity. I found myself so engrossed into the main couple and the Joon-Young/Bo-Young relationship that it made me reflect back on some of my past relationships. However, even though Yoon-Ki's character was there to show the full negative side cheating/adultery/infidelity, it started to get somewhat annoying where I did end up fast forwarding some parts.

At first, I was complaining about Hyun Woo never truly understanding his wife and the show not doing a good enough job to show her struggles; however, the last few episodes did a wonderful job of showing those pretty decently. Seeing how Soo Yeon's actions affected her work life, and life with her son was interesting as well and something that I could not get over in terms of the unfair treatment she received, not only from her boss but Hyun Woo who was hurt and lashed out. I am in even more awe of how in all that time Soo Yeon never became the type of character to come crying to the male lead asking him to fix it. I respect the writers for creating a female character that I could look up to and understand and yet still disappointed by their mistakes. More often than not, only male characters have this luxury, and while the male lead did have the most screen time in the show, I finished the series feeling closer and more understanding of Soo Yeon's character. In the end, this show made me laugh, cry, gasp, and and then giggle like a maniac. It was a fun time that manages to tell an even more compelling and heartbreaking story. I see some people that hated the ending, but I can't help but love it for what it is, a new beginning for two people that despite their love for each other, never took the time to understand the other. In this infidelity, they get to come out stronger on the other side, not only for their adorable son, but for themselves and the chance at a better relationship. As Bo Young's character said, some people like to put themselves in the stories they hear of others. Please do not picture yourself as one of the main characters and hate the cheaters in this show without even trying to understanding them. The same could go for those in your real life. Hopefully you can forgive them even if you can't forget what they have done. Most cheaters aren't worth spilled tears, but understanding the actions one takes when they reach out for something more can go a long way in your healing processes as well. But, just in case, I'll make this clear for those that want to vilify cheaters until the end, that's what Yoon Ki's character is for! Don't be mad that one of the cheaters gets to be happy in the end, this show is about understanding why someone would betray their significant other, not whether or not they should be forgiven, and it's sure as heck not about why YOU get to be the final judge of that. Heck that's the entire point of the online forum story line. This is story about two people that love each other and how they still managed to make mistakes leading to a rift in their marriage, and should be taken as such.

Its highly recommended as it gave you good reflection about your relationship and left with good moral value. I like how the story ended. Hyun woo forgive his wife and start a new life. To protect your marriage /relationship, you need to listen to your partner and tolerate. Don't be so selfish and blaming other. I like the wordS ' DON'T DRAG YOUR PAST IN YOUR PRESENT'.

It's a very intense, emotional and also really realistic drama, it's one of the most realistic k-dramas i have watched. The lead couple had amazing chemistry and the lead actress was breathtaking beautiful. I just wish it was a bit longer, since i really loved this drama!

reellife Jan 10 2017 2:55 am Having watched this drama, I am still baffled by the narrative of SY's affair. She didn't have the affair to get a divorce but her marriage no longer met her needs she found satisfied by SW. When SY was with SW, she forgot her husband HW, her son, her work and feelings of guilt. Over the course of six months, she missed him all the time while he missed her too; they met regularly, had physical contact (like hand clasping and even sex); texted each other securely by using and changing passwords regularly; intentionally deceived their spouses by meeting on pretext of work; SY even took off her wedding ring on these occasions; and SY also took special care with her make-up and dressing for the meetings. But both SY and SW were committed to protect their respective spouses and families. SW claimed to love SY. Although SY didn't confess her love for SW, she was clearly concerned for him first and foremost. She didn't want disclosure of their affair to hurt SW so she insisted that HW resolved the matter with her only. Some have commented that SY loves HW, I don't see much of it in the narrative. Evidently, both did not intend for a divorce from their respective spouses to maintain their social status. But had no intentions to end the affair if HW had not discovered it. In fact, if HW did not catch them in the hotel's elevator, they would have had a jolly good rump that afternoon. Seems like the moral of this story is: "If you want to have an affair, don't get caught" and "if you get caught claim it just happened, you were spread too thinly, you did not intend to deceive your spouse but to protect the marriage, you did not do it to get a divorce", and, if all these fail, "I divorce you".

The reason why he left us, more than to my own feelings, i wanted to know how my mother felt too when she going through his affairs with other women. We were young back then, the things i only knew was that my father cheated alot and my mother remained faithful to him. I thought my mom was a fool back then but now seeing the Hyun Woo i feel so hurt for my mom who suffered alone. She had to go through her husband's affairs alone and the people who should have cheered for her, ignored her and thought of her as a fool. I feel sorry for my mom who had to cry all by herself, who had to hide herself as she saw my father with another woman, who had to keep all of her feelings to herself because she probably didnt have someone to talk to. Until now, i still dont know why my father cheated. He just left all of a sudden one day. I dont know if my mother blames herself or if she even knew the reason why. My mom whi had to ho through alone all this time, I'm sorry Mom. I'll try to be better from now on. I wont just consider my feelings all the time. I'll try to look at your point of view from now on. This drama made me understand a little bit about why our family had to break apart. I was eight years old and maybe time stopped for me but now my life is starting again. I dont know if its because i'm growing up or if i want to try to understand my father sincerely. I hated people who wanted to justify affairs, i still do, a little bit but i'm considering all the facts to try to understand it. If one day, I finally come to conclusion I hope I can forgive my father who didnt even ask for forgiveness.

hoon Jan 05 2017 7:37 pm i must say this is one of the best drama in 2016, this drama change my point of view of affair, i used to think if our partner in relationship are cheating u should dump him/her there is no way to keep them ain't no such thing as cheating on accident however i agree there are more thing to consider... this drama made me sad and then burst in to tears again a minute later from laughing. And this drama makes me more understand my mom's struggle as a career woman and raising four children such as Soo Yeon damn how could even she survive

For those that are saying that he should not go back to the wife just because of her cheating actions, i just want to say that this drama shows HOW the wife n husband reacted to it,not just her actions. ofc just based on her action, he should not take her back but The wife showed clear remorse over what she did. Both the wife n husband also clearly still had feelings for each other. They had to separate to know they really wanted each other. overall i feel like it was a heartwarming ending. and i would definitely recommend it!

Makes people think they can do the same and your pathetic spouce will always forgive you. The cheating wife had no remorse when she snapped at the husband saying she missed the other guy! Oh my!!!... anyway... poorly written end... I wish he would have gone to a better life with the other woman who seemed to match him much better...

Nana Dec 09 2016 9:01 am I thoroughly enjoyed this drama. I think 12 episodes is enough, otherwise the story would have dragged on. There was comedic relief with the side couples/characters. The story line felt very real, but there we some moments I felt were a bit ridiculous, for lack of a better word. Which was fine; I saw is as a reminder that this is just a drama haha. Great binge watch, I suffered week to week.

Dince Dec 06 2016 7:05 am As a fan of Song Ji-hyo, of course I'm going to watch whatever production she's in since she's my woman crush. And I also love Lee Sun-kyun and love him in Helpless and A Hard Day. I read how people hated this drama because of the infidelity, but this drama is more than that. This is one of the best 2016 kdrama I watched and probably one of Song Ji-hyo finest. The sides story also awesome to watch.

For those who contemplating to watch this drama, please watch this awesome drama. Great story line plus great acting. It will be awesome if there is Season 2 since there are a lot of things to be unearth from the stories, but anyway this drama conclude well.

carrot Dec 05 2016 9:06 am the woman hyun woo [sort of] dated in the last episode, wasn't she the wife of the guy soo-yeon had an affair with? i keep on thinking about who she is because i was pretty sure she appeared in the drama before that last episode. anyway, i must say that this series is one of the many underrated drama series this year. i did not expect myself to shed a tear (especially in the penultimate episode) while watching this drama. this drama was funny, too. i enjoyed the scenes with the lawyer (and what he ended up in serves him right tbh) and joon-young. the characters did an amazing job in portraying their roles. i didnt like song ji hyo's role though. it was just...too passive, i guess? although we heard a bit of her thoughts in the last episode, it was a bit disappointing since we still ended with hyun woo's point of view. he did all the action tbh. i just hope that adultery will not be the next favorite topic of korean dramas in the next months or years lol.

Soo Yeon Dec 05 2016 6:56 am As i watching ep 12 I thought they won't have happy ending especially when new women pop up.....seriously I been watching since ep 1 but both last episodes is so emotional..my tears just keep running down..I want to stop watching but I'm curious about the ending so I just continue it...and well it was a right decision...thank you writer nim/PD nim.. !!... It feel great & worth after spilling out all those tears because you guys made me smile at the end...thank you for giving happy ending for so yeon and hyun woo as well to bo young and joon young...they deserve it !!!! Sunny Dec 04 2016 6:25 pm I wasn't planning to watch this drama, but I gave it a try because of Song Ji Hyo and Lee Sun Kyun. And I am so glad that I actually gave this drama a chance. This drama is more than a husband discovering that his wife is having an affair. The affair started it, but it's the discoveries made after the affair that makes this drama so special. It's easy to gossip and whisper about the person who cheated. It's easy to think a person is being idiotic for choosing to be with a cheater. However, it's different to be an outsider looking in versus being in their shoes. Though I absolutely hate cheaters, I found myself hoping the two leading characters will stay together. It's hard to explain what it is that made me root for them. Maybe it's the understanding they began to build for each other. Whatever it is, I realize that it's complicated and sometimes some people CAN work it out. The decision to divorce or stay together is never an easy decision.

The characters were entertaining as well. These actors all did such a wonderful job playing their roles. I am so impressed by BoA because I didn't like her acting before, but she was great in this drama. The realistic story between the two leading characters and all the different point-of-views kept my interest till the end. Also, I'm not sure if I would have been able to stick with this drama if there wasn't just enough comedy to lighten the heavy mood. Anyway, great job to everyone who made this drama happen! ^^

jyanifs Dec 04 2016 12:38 pm I've been watching this drama from the very first episode and i became addicted to this drama because they gave us a fresh and real-like story. tbh i've never been cry when i watch this but, ep 11 really killing me. the scene when hyunwoo told joonsoo abt he's getting divorce with sooyeon is really touching and i cried at the time, the way joonsoo cry is hurt me. i know you guys knew what i mean. and for the ending, im fully satisfied. hyunwoo, joonyoung and yoonki and everyone deserved their own ending esp choi yoonki. good job everyone!! toycrane!! fighting!!

But because I got really curious and I really kind of like Song Ji Hyo (I hated her in Princess Hours though) I decided to finally watch it. The first 2 episodes got me shaking because first of all, I detest cheaters. And secondly, is because I didn't want to watch Song Ji Hyo as a cheater, my blood boiled but I really couldn't stop watching so I waited every week, until it's finally finished. Huhuhu couldn't be more sad.

Quite satisfied with the finale though! Big ups to everyone who worked hard to produce this drama! I really loved it! Literally one of my fave Korean dramas, now. Superb!

I just got done watching the last episode and I just want to let u guys know that it is worth watching. I love the realism between married couples. The side stories were entertaining as well. jungsooyeon Dec 04 2016 3:38 am honestly, i am not a fan of kdrama at all. i've watched several korean drama before and i never finished all of the episodes because i get bored with the cliche plot of the drama. at first, i only watch this drama because of song ji hyo and lee sung kyun but i fell in love with this drama because of the plot story. they have a realistic story and not just a cliche love story. besides that, i also love the cast. i did not know that BoA is so good in acting. i really love Writer Kwon and Ahn PD character. they make me smiling alone watching them. i will miss this drama a lot.

I must say that this is one well written drama. It made me cry and laugh at the same time and the story for each episode were really interesting. It was not your typical kdrama. Anyways, I still hope that hyun woo and soo yeon wont pursue their divorce cuz i really feel bad for joon soo. Fighting Toycrane!

Ennui Nov 30 2016 3:21 am First of all, I can never tolerate cheating if it happens to me, I don't think I can forgive and forget, and worse, live with a cheater. I was cheated years ago when I was so naive and in love, and since then I totally changed to a completely different person, skeptical and apathetic.

However, I remember a guy said that if his girlfriend cheats on him, he believes that it's not completely her fault. There must be a reason why she does that, she might have been taken for granted, he might be at fault, too. So he thinks he can forgive her if that is the case.

I think this is the same case with Hyunwoo & Sooyeon. Sooyeon has always been the perfect wife & mother, who never wants to show her weakness to her loved ones, her husband included. When she thinks she can no longer take it, there comes someone who tries to comfort her, and before she knows it, she has fallen for him and has taken comfort in him instead of her husband. Hyunwoo, on the other side, has put Sooyeon on the pedestal, where he sees her as someone, who can never make a single mistake, and thus, he assumes that she can do anything & everything even if he doesn't help her at all. Of course, he helps her in every little way he can, but then again, he was never there on those extremely difficult times. He wasn't there when she was about to give birth, when she ran to and fro to get their child, and those times when only his mother has witnessed how Sooyeon had a hard time.

Yet, she never complained nor blamed Hyunwoo. She never showed him she couldn't do it, that's why Hyunwoo assumed that everything was fine, everything was perfect. If only she showed him her weaknesses, that she isn't perfect at all, she wouldn't have broken down and lost herself.

I think I see the issue with their relationship. They weren't as close as married couples should be. They do not talk about their work, or share about their deepest secrets, their worries and troubles. That's why when you get married, you should become the best of friends, the best confidantes of each other. So this thing, like finding comfort with another person, won't ever happen, because you already have each others' best confidante & best friend.

But I've always had a soft spot for jihyo's dramas, so i was a bit skpetical on following this drama, as I was afraid I would not be able to get into this, since Jihyo was the cheating wife. Of course I started watching this because of Jihyo. But I really fell for the plot. It's a beautiful drama, giving us an emotional roller coster really. All the little side stories, and all other side characters, they mean a lot. I get that not a lot of people like this kind of stories, but I would totally recommend this drama to everyone, who is not too into romantic storyline, like me. Sometimes you get mad at the wife,sometimes you get mad at the husband, sometimes you feel sorry for them, sometimes you laugh at the side characters. To me, this has been the best drama for this year, alongside with Signal, regardless of what others say. Kudos to the director and all casts! :)

And i think Hyun woo don't know what a perfect timing. He just wasting time. He can't use the chance to talk with Soo yeon. They both so selfish. I feel sorry for their son too, he needs more attention from their parents. I hope this drama will have the great ending.

Just want to say my comments and feelings about this drama. I know hyun woo (husband) is feeling angry seeing soo yeon (wife) cheating with another man. But i just cant seem to sympathize with him after all the actions he did. Yes, I know soo yeon is at fault for cheating on her husband and that's not right. However, when soo yeon was really tryna explain, he tried to listen okay, but after that he just kept throwing at her questions and did not even listen to her explantion. He is really angry, yes but at least try to salvage this marriage. They have a kid too, imagine the kid growing up without any parent (if they divorce), it would be painful for the child as parent love is really important for their growth. Another fact that i really hate is that the husband kept saying that he did NOTHING wrong at all and kept blaming others. He did not even reflect about whether did he have any faults that made soo yeon cheat on him. And that is what i really hate, not reflecting on yourself too. Hyun woo also needs to learn to control and calm down.

Also, soo yeon is really tired, i can see from being a supermom, having stress and burden from work for such a high position at work and also worrying about her child's school matters. I can see that she lacks affection from her husband as i see no skinship at all whenever they are at home. But one thing soo yeon can do is to voice out to her husband and maybe they can talk things out rather than making things worser.

Yes I know cheating is an awful thing and it can really hurt other's feeling and both parties are at fault. Although i don't really sympathize the husband much, i can't say soo yeon is not at fault too. However, i feel that if you really love your partner a lot, i think that voicing out to each other and reflecting on each other's mistake and learn to forgive and forget and really try to SALVAGE this marriage if you REALLY love your partner and your partner also has a chance of loving you back.

Lastly, I find that "ignorance is bliss". Knowing too much can actually hurt and harm you.

Really a great drama to watch and also learn and reflect. Kuddos to jihyo, such a great actress and sun kyun too. Thumbs Up to them!

Very realistic and just shows how different each one reacts to a situation like this based on the online comments. Whatever the writer's conclusion will be, I wish that it will be the preservation of the family. Forgiveness is very difficult but can lead to healing. Without forgiveness, even if they end up separating eventually, will leave pain that may never heal.

That really breaks my heart you know. And im trying o put myself in the husbands shoes, and maybe i'll be the same as the husband who doesn't know what to do in that situation.

what irritates me is that they The wife and her lover was so calm so the husband looks pathetic by getting angry in that room.

Also, I have a feeling that the wife of the Attorney is Tuna Mayo.. lol

It gets better after the first episode. I am now waiting for every episode to come out.

I wonder how will it end.. Will they divorce or reconcile? I cant see it yet.. but i no longer trust the wife now.. lol

And I hate that that he is just hearing some people opinions out of there rather than hearing his wife's explanation. I can see, she's forced to told him that she already slept with 'him'. Ooooh... I am so curious, behind Soo Yeon's smile and everything she is doing good to, what is behind them? I think Song Jihyo did the great job here. Yes, the smile is fake, but it's not something that she can't act, she actually in to her character! And of course SunKyun did his great job too. I hope this drama going well, fighting!!!

I love the main actress Song Ji Hyo soo much, she always makes me relate to her character more then anyone else, that aside she really is one of the most beautiful Asian women, this story is soo interesting and emotional, I hope the main lead have a happy ending, they really seem to looove eachother alot and unable to express it to eachother!

JiHyo's acting skills is not that great but she is trying to portray a happy wife, living a happy life. She smiles a bit too much when she speaks which I think makes her lines a little unrealistic - meaning she is not making the lines her own words to feel believable. However, her character is still amazing with lots of mystery and I am loving that. I hope they go deeper with her character later to show what is really going on behid her smile and happy all the time attitude.

I don't think she is cheating. I think a seed was planted in the husband's head and now he is over thinking the situation. LIke Othello. ....lol

The cast is brilliant. Everyone breathes life into what is already a fantastic script. This isn't some stupid love story. You won't find the husband man handling his wife (anyone else sick and tired of those arm grabs? like wtf is up with romanticizing that crap?) but you will find a very real reaction from him.

He's in shock. He's in denial. He's overreacting without concrete evidence. He is also unable to talk to his wife and it is driving him crazy. He's doubting himself and his marriage. I've only seen the first two episodes but dear god am I thankful that they're handling it like this.

This isn't a crass drama. They haven't casted bthe bame on one partner and instead the characters surrounding the main lead are having discussions on this very sensitive topic. Why would someone cheat? Would you forgive them? What's the difference between men and women cheating? How does their behaviour change when they cheat?

Humans are complicated beings. Sometimes we can't justify what we're feeling. Does it make it okay to fall for someone else even though you're married? This is why I am so impressed with this drama. They're exploring the issue.

One scene stood out to me - when they're discussing whether the wife going into the motel with the man is confirmation of the affair or if they need to catch them actually having sex (this is for the new television program that hits too closely to what the main guy js goibg through lmao).

The women are like 'yeah that's enough' and the guys are insistent that there needs to be physical action before they can confirm she's having an affair. Interesting right? Is it sexist that the guys would be focused on the physicality and not the emotional state of the couple? I really am curious. Obviously having a physical relationship with someone else will hurt your partner but wouldn't knowing they love this person also hurt them? Haha I am thinking about things I've never thought of before!

This drama is so good. Please give it a chance. The wife is the mystery. As the husband agonizes over whether or not she's going to see this guy, we're right there with him. When he behaves like an idiot towards her instead of talking to her, we're right there cussing his stupidity. It hurts in a good way.

Love that it's only 12 episodes. I know, I can hear some of you going Whyyy but it's because there won't be unnecessary scenes. Some dramas drag everything out and the pacing of the plot gets screwed up. The first episode set everything up nicely and the second packed such an emotional punch.

The other characters are really interesting. BoA's character especially. She's blunt and doesn't take any shit. The other PD is such a riot. I wonder if they'll introduce his wife? Their relationship is unique from how he describes it and I think it makes BoA uncomfortable as hell because he acts like her work husband and she knows how easy it is for the friendliness to turn into something else. I like that she wants to keep distance but then he just barrels in crying about her refusing his friend request lmao

As for the other couple...the lawyer is an A+ cheater. I have no idea why the wife is still with him but then again in my culture divorced women aren't treated like finished goods as they do in other cultures *coughs* I hope she gets crazy and scare the hell out of him though lol

Jinnyss Oct 31 2016 3:07 am I already watching two episode, its a great drama, and good casting..Seriously, LSK is a good actor, he bring the characters looks like much painful, but I though Jihyo characters look more painful in her heart, she always smiling, look like she so cool, but I think behind her smile have a big painful..Maybe she not cheat on her husband, but she already like move on from her husband..I just read comment from someone mad because Jihyo had a less scene, I though Pd will create her story from other episode..Relax guys, she a main characters, and pd just bring suspicious behaviour from his wife..

Lily-Rose Oct 30 2016 9:56 am I absolutely adore the Lead Couple Song Ji Hyo and Lee Sun Kyung, they are both amazing and natural actors who know how to make viewers relate to them. The story is veeery emotional and leaves a deep impression, and it has already done that to me in the first 2 episodes that's been released, it's very realistic in a sense that it shows you what not showing you love and affection to your other significant half can lead too, because we know from the preview just how much husband and wife lovee eachother, with the yars they just have not voiced it out much, I think Song Ji Hyo and Lee Sun kyung show amazing chemistry already, and can't wait for the next episode

dory Aug 12 2016 9:18 am I checked out the Japanese version and I like the summary of it. Hopefully this drama would do justice for both sides of the story - the husband and wife. It'll be cool to see them explore that complexity and not just cast the blame of a failed marriage on one person. Fingers crossed that it does well!

btw the japanese version summary is:

A man who is content with his life - decent job and wonderful wife - suddenly faces the crisis of marriage when he finds out his wife is about to have an affair. As he's too embarrassed to turn to people around him, he starts posting questions on a message board on internet asking for advice. My wife is going to have an affair this week. What should I do? Based on a true event, this heartwarming comedy follows his path to try to find the meaning of marriage and the way to rebuild his family. Life is not always as it seems like. You always have to look what is underneath, otherwise you'll miss some important thing...
