(I think, historically, the Joseon Dynasty was originally founded on betrayal and doublecross – the way all dynasties are routinely established the world over – two generals were sent with their two armies to battle invading forces but one general doubled back and overthrew the ruler, while the other general and his army met and stopped the invading force, but was destroyed in the process!)

@Renea King, this is based on real event. Most of the character roster shows real historical figures that was important during this event.

Nonetheless, I am going to enjoy 2023 modern cinematic Korean historical drama. We don't see Goryeo historical drama often. They need to venture out of boring and weak Joseon settings.

Siavash Jul 22 2023 3:37 pm Main events:Kim chi yang's rebellion-Gang jo's coup and Mokjong's death-Yang kyu's battles-Gang jo's battles and death-and the most important one to be seen: The Great Victory of Guijo achieved by Gang Gam Chan at the third war between koryo and Liao (Khitan). Chae shi ra and lee deok hwa were very good as cheonchu taehu and Gang gam chan. Let's see how the actors of this drama will be.
