Dr. Han Myeong-Ju (Nam Sang-Mi) is a liver specialist. Her success rate for surgeries is over 90%, but she is extremely conservative in choosing whom to perform surgery on. She doesn't believe in miracles and will rarely take chances. One day, Dr. Ji Seok-Joon (Kim Seung-Wook) comes to her office and tells her about a patient that the media has been inquiring about. Dr. Han Myeong-Ju diagnosed the patient with late-stage liver cancer 2 years ago. She attempts to find her patient No Sang-Pil (Lee Chun-Hee) and his current health condition.
