After graduating from high school, Sota Koyurugi (Jun Matsumoto) studies bakery at an institute. In high school, he fell in love with beautiful Saeko. Because of Sota's effort, he is able to have a romantic relationship with Saeko right before Christmas. Saeko though tells Sota that she will be unable to meet him on Valentine's Day, but can meet him on the day before Valentine's Day. On that day, Sota gives Saeko chocolate that he made, but she doesn't accept his gift. Saeko tells him that she didn't think they were dating. Sota is heartbroken, but he doesn't give up hope.

To make Saeko love him, he travels to France with little money and studies chocolate there. This is because Saeko loves chocolate. 5 years later, Sota becomes a first-class Chocolatier. Now back in Japan, Sota opens his very own store.

I dont usually watch oriental stuff, but this came on Crave and having been especially bored by the recent Hollywood remakes and reboots I was looking for something different and gave this a try.Well, it had its weaknesses, but it was full of slender almond eyed eye candies.

Married skank who at first betrays her school-mate: Face 8/10 Hair 9/10 Legs 9/10 (she is usually showing them off in a mini and boots - she is so fashion forward and self respecting she even wears minis and thigh highs at home) Body: 9/10 (fat free)

Model: Face: 6/10 Hair: 4/10 (boyish short) Legs: 10/10 (very slender and no cellulite) Body: 10/10 She is super thin and so flaunts them

Co-worker: Face: 10/10 of yeah Hair: 9/10 love her bangs Legs: 1/10 (wears pants) Body:8/10 seems super thin too (girl show them off!!!)

Sister: Face: 9/10 hair: 6/10 (some hair but could be longer) Legs: 9/10 Comes across as sexy when mini-skirted Body: 8/10

Various customers: very pleasing to the eye. These chicks are thin, miniskirted and free.

Don't think I have seen her anywhere before. I would remember. Asami needs to show off her body. I will look for DVDs with her now.

KaiSoo1288 Dec 10 2017 10:06 am I watched the drama and saw the ending. I really can't say I hate the ending but yes, I do agree that it's really a sad one. The feelings/emotions I feel while listening to the OSTs BEFORE I have done watching all the episodes are really different compared when I FINISHED the drama. My mind can't stop thinking back on the ending whenever I listen to it.

I must say the acting of the characters is really great. The ones that I know (actors/actresses) are only MatsuJun (ofc my babyyy <3) and Kiko (MIKASAAA!!!) but I also fell inlove on some actors/actresses like Satomi (aww she's so cute tho I admit that I didn't like her character first (well, until the end i think? I mean I'm sure I'm not the only one haha) but still u can't really argue with her cuteness). They are all great. The plot is also great (tho I agree that it is tragic). I thought this drama would be sweet and happy and all but sure I'm wrong. Chocolates are sweet and are also loved by children. Innocence and happiness. Both I think this drama would have but again, I was wrong. Still I loved it <3

But yes MatsuJun is in this drama and is so gorgeous as always <3 so I'm definitely did not regret watching the drama. Also the visions of the characters before the reality becomes the scene is so funny. Expecially Souta-kun's kekeke

But the story, inclusing the morals and what nots, I'm leaving it to the viewers. Did I like it? Yes. That's as far as my recommendation goes. Hahahaha. The last thing I want to say is, THEY STICK TO THE TITLE UNTIL THE END. Hahahahaha

Vv Oct 25 2015 1:35 pm The beginning was perfect, every ep was beautifully filmed and edited, it certainly felt like reading a manga. I'm a fan of Matsujun and Kiko Mizuhara so I had to watch this. The ending is totally unexpected but quite satisfying since it was an atypical romcom ending. And loved it. It might feel a tad slow and frustrating at times but it's def' worth the watch. Kudos!

falcon Jul 15 2015 7:41 am ehh?? kelly, a drama with Kaoru (or Mizukawa Asami)? and you think her character there is interesting? well, we differ in opinion. I find her character boring and annoying. it feels like her character there is unnecessary. something that the show can do without (the character, i mean, coz i love the actress anyway). I am sensing that you are just a fan of Mizukawa Asami to think or to feel that her character here is interesting, which i dont find like that anyway. I haven't finished the manga yet, but what Jun had portrayed is exactly just like the manga. So i was just okay with his acting. Yes his character is annoying because he is indecisive but it's because he is really in-love and don't want to give up on his first love, that's how i see it in the manga. i would totally recommend this drama, it's really refreshing and the ending is unexpected but Im still satisfied.

Not the usual love story with a happy ending, but it showed how matured people react in different circumstances and how individuals differ in matters of the heart, Matsujun is so gorgeous and charming as usual, so if you are a hater, don't watch this because you will have more reasons to hate him, :P Awesome! part2 please?

But after watching this drama I like the fact that it wasn't like the typical dramas out. All the characters in this drama are negative and that what made it different. It was boring at times and I really dislike Jun most of the time because of all the choices he made. Watching his character you could either say he was an artist and dreamer who needed his muse. but I would call him a big Douche lord. although all this, I love the development of kaoruko-san and the process of her character. She stole the show for me, when the show was dragging with Jun having an affair,kaoruko-san lead the show.

Anyways at the end of the drama I couldn't really hate any character but accept that this people are complicated. (Spolier alert) Jun was pretty stupid to go back to the model girl. I was hoping for them to be a couple, but NOPE. being the douche he was he had to missed it up.

this is not a must watch drama, more like you should watch it cause not everything in life is perfect. ALSO I would like a drama about kaoruko-san, that would be fun!:)

Nao Jan 28 2015 9:31 pm In the first place, THIS is a dorama BASED on a josei manga, which means A STORY FOR ADULT WOMEN, and this particular genre has themes like this; betrayal, romance, cheating, sex and more "realistic" and mature problems than innocent romance like in shoujo. IT IS INTENDED TO BE THIS SEXUAL so don't go complaining about how "they ruined it" when actually that's how the story goes. Research before watching anything and complaining. As for me, I'm still watching this dorama (a year after it aired haha) but so far i'm really liking it, and since i was so tired about the typical love comedies and shoujo, this is a good change. Give it a chance but don't watch it if you don't like josei and adult genres.

Watching the first two episodes was more than enough to find this drama very disturbing with the continuous amount of sexual thoughts, language & acts. How shameful of the writer, director & producer to create this drama in this way. How insulting of them to disrespect us viewers by using popular actors & actresses, who degrade themselves in their characters, to entice us viewers to fantasize, watch & listen to the explicit sexual content. What could have been portrayed as a sweet, uplifting, endearing story is instead portrayed shamefully by tossing aside proper morals & values, by highlighting immorality & by covering it up with cuteness in the acting scenes. (Skimming through the final episode, however, shows the truthful outcome that there will always be great losses of dignity through deceit & immorality. Choosing to be a "bad person" like the main character can never be called "good.") This drama is NOT RECOMMENDED for viewing. Viewers must have writers, directors & producers who will release more dramas that will value true, lasting relationships through proper moral, respectful, trusting conduct--there is not enough of these types of dramas today.

I grow less fond of Kaoruko with every episode. And Chocolate Barbie does not deserve Souta, either. This show always makes me hungry.

At first I thought the story line was kinda cliche from the pilot episode, but it really isn't turning out to be that way ^^ If I had a drama to recommend of the year so far, out of both k and j dramas, this would definitely be it :)
