Arata Hoshino (Masaki Okada) is a lazy college student, who doesn't believe in working for his future or putting in the effort. Arata Hoshino then gets a "future diary" program on his cellphone. The future diary allows him to make predictions that will come true. He then becomes involved in a survival game revolving around the future diary ....

Pat Jul 28 2017 10:19 pm I forgot to mention the characters were also condensed down, with traits combined and that this Yuno is way different personality and character wise. There is also a reference in one of the characters names, unless they didn't intend to do that.

Pat Jul 28 2017 10:16 pm As a super hard core Mirai Nikki fan I was excited to find out about this but left disappointed. It does have its merits, good mystery And plot twists as well as some tear jerking moments, it is definitely not Future Diary. The only reason I can't get upset it's called Future Diary is the another world in the title. So it's clearly an alternate take on the world. My biggest issue is Yuno. She is clearly nothing like the character. She is only her by name. It's an understandable choice but all the other characters were changed name was minus Deus and even Yuno has a last name change. I would still recommend watching it for fans because it's still worth a watch. Just don't expect a great adaptation of the source material. Viewed as an alternate world from the anime and manga it is a pretty decent watch. This was a touch review to write because I'm mixed on how I feel about this.

Nishin Jan 21 2017 7:01 am I'm too disappointed about the casts and some quite changes in the story. Manga and anime is better than this!!! Why did they changed the name?!! And it seems like the story is not the mirai nikki that I loved!!! Rena Matsui should be Yuno Gasai! Her acting skills in Majisuka Gakuen shows that she is a potential yandere queen! But I have no problem with Masaki Okada

heartbroken May 22 2015 8:01 am The ending.... :"( My heart broke into 200 pieces because of RUI...... SPOILER! He doesnt even exist??? wtf?? and although he vanished? why did he appear at the end of the drama and put jacket over his fake sister and went to sleeping arata...i cant describe this feeling! its extremely sad omg.... 10/10 for kanata hongo... i wanted to cry for him and also arata omg :"(
