Tak Dong-Kyung (Park Bo-Young) is an editor for a web novel company. Myul-Mang (Seo In-Guk), suddenly appears in her ordinary life. She makes a 100 day contract with Myul-Mang, risking her life and her love.

Myul-Mang is the existence of a middle manager between God and humans. He makes a contract with Tak Dong-Kyung.

someone Nov 23 2022 2:59 pm to the person that questioning what is myeol mang is. he is butterfly in the garden. the deity already told him bout her garden which full of flowers resembles the human and he is the butterfly that need to tc of the garden. he was not human nor ghost. he was just existence whom take care of doom things. he was like a worker or servants or someone who was there to deal between God and human. Usually God create the existence who in charge of something like bad thing or doom they said, without feelings, no emphaty. but he can feel those things maybe theres some mistakes done some input wrongly gets in(as the deity also said that she input it wrong and whatever wrong must be reset)ofc it just a drama and i dont really know what deity really is.

i think he is the easiest character to guess instead i feel like no explanation character bout who the deity really is. is she a God or is she just like Myeol mang that incharge with different things like fate? we dont know. myeol mang once dying for female character makes him becoming a human. A butterfly dying make it blooms into a flower just like others. theres no confusing character w male lead character for me. but i do have issues regarding on the plot. but overall it was good.

Seo in guk I love him in shopaholic Louis or shopping king but this doom isn't that funny it's bored sometimes just forced myself to finish watching

There should be another whole drama for Cha Joo ik and Na Ji na...with the same cast for sure.. Can you make a drama like a story about the future of Cha Joo ik and Na Ji na...maybe as the Season 2 of Doom at your service.. OMG!!!!!.. Thinking about a drama like that makes my heart flutter already. I mean, just imagine...Wooaaaaahhhhhhhh...... I'm wishing that they will do so... That's one thing...

But that's not enough.. We want a seperate drama/movie where Lee Soo hyuk and Shin Do hyun are the main leads... So At Least we want 2 more dramas, where Lee Soo hyuk and Shin Do hyun are main leads. One as Cha Joo ik and Na Ji na, other one as a totally different drama. Can you please make that happen...Ahhh.... please please please.....

From the very first episode, everything felt forced and cringy. I finished watching episode 2 and I'm not sure if I want to continue. if you like Park Bo-young, go watch "Oh my ghost" instead.

Sentinel Apr 16 2022 11:17 am I think I know why the rating is dropped significantly. I enjoy fantasy and it's exactly why I dropped this drama in ep 11. Didn't think it was particularly boring, but even now I don't find the urge to finish it. I admit the first view episode was good and interesting enough, but the problem is they don't elaborate on what exactly Myeol mang is. Was he a human? If so, what is his current existence and why? If he wasn't then how come he's able to feel love and affection while his very existence is 'The Doom'? He claims he is the incarnation of Doom, to what extent is his authority(power)? Why he made contract with Dong kyung? Her reason(wish) is not special nor unique enough to be recognized by him. I mean, she shouldn't be the first human ever that wished for the world to end. My opinion should be flawed since I didn't finish the drama, but it's true that even after 10+ eps there were barely any explanation or conclusion about Myeol mang. No wonder people couldn't care less...

Then i'm here to see the whole team of this drama. I saw the ratings and confused, why the ratings decreased every week when I think this drama is awesome? It's not all about superpowers of deity. But it made me like this drama. It tells us to always be kind and life fullest, so you're not going tobe regret. I decided to watch this because I watched the bts of the main leads, it looked funny and sweet. Yes, it does. And found myself too, got teary eyes and crying in some scene. The ost too, really love! The one thing that I regret, why now? Why i just watched it, when i knew the first episode of its started! Thankyou team of Doom at Your Service for another story that you guys created. I enjoyed it! ^^

Al Jan 22 2022 2:53 am I don't know why I came back here.... Saw many people drop this drama, I feel sad for park boyoung and seo inguk who looks really enjoying the drama making, joking around, and happy.

Maybe people don't get this drama values. It's fantasy drama but not everything about superpowers show, right? Why it should be Goblin 2.0? No. The drama pointed on life, desperate feeling about going to die but the life became complicated with the existence of Doom.

Tbh, I just finished rewatch this drama for nth times. I still ugly crying in every episode cause I can feel what Tak Dong Kyung's feel about her life. This drama is popular but ppls don't talked a lot in socmed cause they're just enjoying the drama, the chemistry between Tak Dong Kyung and Myulmang, even other cast.

So guys, maybe you'll be bored if you wishing the actions or superpowers show, but the point of this drama isn't about that. It's about life and miracle of the life. Happy watching ^^

Ryu Dec 01 2021 9:06 am I loved the idea of a dying human meeting and falling in love with the literal God of Doom but I had to drop it after episode 7. There was so much potential, especially when you have Park Boyoung and Seo Inguk as your leads, but the writers wasted it. Tak Dongkyung is not a very charming protagonist (by no fault of Park Boyoung) and many of her actions don't make sense. I don't understand her motivations and goals, and her reaction to Myulmang is confusing at best. It's like the writers see her as a plot device rather than a character. They have no idea what to do with her and are just making her do things that will drive the plot forward.

And even though Park Boyoung and Seo Inguk look really good together, they couldn't make me root for their romance. I don't get what's drawing them to each other. It's almost Twilight-ish in a way -- where Tak Dongkyung is drawn to Myulmang because he's mysterious, aloof, and handsome, and Myulmang is interested in her because she's oh so different from other humans. When Tak Dongkyung asks him if he wants to live together AND if he wants to kiss her, I'm not swooning. I'm confused. What made her fall for him? His emo-ness? His hot-and-cold treatment? His looks? They had a lot of conversations together but they're always more convoluted than meaningful.

The plot is poor and virtually non-existent. The romance feels contrived. The chemistry suffers from the lack of convincing writing. The world feels small with only one God and one God of Doom, who both conveniently only operate in South Korea and don't seem to do anything of importance. The characters are not that interesting (with the exception of Myulmang but only because Seo Inguk looks really good here).

I don't usually leave comments about dramas, much less essays, but I'm just disappointed by how Park Boyoung and Seo Inguk's potential is wasted here. You could do so much with them. This could be Goblin 2.0 but nope, we ended up with whatever this mess is. I wouldn't recommend this but given how divided the reviews are, you should watch and decide for yourself.

It was enjoyable to watch love, laughter, sadness. I also loved the actors and actresses. Made me teary eye a couple of times more then I have before. So please watch it and give it a try.

When Ji Na said to Hyun Kyu that "I feel in love with the 18 year old you" I realized how much Ji Na suffered while waiting for Hyun Kyu.

I've never been disappointed by Park Bi Young's performances; and this is no exception. She has a way of drawing you into the characters that she portrays; and making you wish that it was you playing the opposite lead the her.

What a pleasant surprise to see Lee Soo Hyuk in this story; and what a contrast to the evil vampire that he portrayed in The Scholar Who Walks the Night. I immediately found his character interesting. Some actors may have come across as too pretentious, but he achieved an intellectual enui that seemed genuine.

Seo In-Guk has a difficult role in the story. A great deal more depth of character than what he did in The Master's Sun, Oh, My Ghost or Abyss (the only other K-Dramas that I've seen him in.

The story progresses much slower than some K-Dramas, but it's the perfect pace for what the writers are trying to accomplish. This is definitely one story thar you need to pay careful attention to... and. even replay certain portions; otherwise, you'll miss something.

I legit just skip scenes where Do Kyeong and Doom are walking and talking because it’s the same same same over and over again. But this is the only drama who really touches my heart in different way it taught me to accept and embrace darkness and loneliness, misery and unfortune beacuse behind those there are reasons and happiness. My father just pass away and keep asking the Deity why He have to create and take away lives. I ask him why do He need to take my father but then I realize that this doom that came to my life has a reasons and it makes me realize the importance of everything. Now because of this drama I have accepted that my father is gone for good and I know He is on better place now. Cudos to the director , the writer , actors and actresses and all the staff of this drama. You really taught me an important lesson. Kamsahamnida

For me the main leads love story is so unique and meaningful. The second leads love story is not that deep. I find it weird how chajooik literally broke the bro code with hyunkyu knowing he still love the girl. Its just too toxic for me. I actually wanted najina to choose neither of them! She deserves someone better. But i love all of the actors here they did really amazing. Great acting to all of them. Also I want Seo in guk and Parkboyoung in another drama together they have really² great chemistry!!

Reading the previous comments I guess the theme of this isn’t for everyone but it’s worth a try at least!<3 I hope you’ll love it us much as I did.

I loved the struggle that kept on going bc the two loved each other more than anything… I find this romantic. The second couple was very heartwarming too, it evened out the overall sadness of the drama.

They both look so cute and adorable Actually, it's a bit unfortunate that at the end there was no wedding considering that in the previous episode In Guk wanted to marry Bo Young. Uhh, I was really looking forward to it though. But it's okay that matters The two of them are back together and In Guk has become a human. Oh yes, I also really like SF9's Dawon character, he is funny and cheerful. Basically I really like this drama drama

And OSTs are all good????!! Especially the one that goes "nol bomyeon........" I Cried. I figured it's from TXT or Tomorrow by Together. They sang, I Cried. Well done kids, more OSTs to come.

Overall, this drama deserves higher ratings!! Bcs it's been long since we got a storyline that's a little bit similar to Goblin. While gumiho storyline has A LOT already but still people watched it. Anyways, give it a go!!

It would have been better if they put them in a rom-com drama or family drama or crime/thriller drama! If they only gave these two amazing actors a great love story with awesome plotline it will surely become a hit because of their acting skills and chemistry! But This Story Is So Weak! This is probably the lowest rated drama of PBY and SIG.

Even how good and popular the actors are if the storyline is ugly it won't get high rating.

There's a lot of kdramas out there with not-so-famous actors but their drama get super high ratings and it's because of the great storyline.

For me this drama has such a unique storyline, it teaches you about fate, life, death destiny.Also love the artistic dialogues n cinematography in this drama its so beautiful. The main leads chemistry is undeniably amazing and so natural. Sometimes love needs to take time as they say "Slow and steady wins the race" right. So not all types of love stories needs to be fast paced.

This drama meant so much to me and has so many morals.I also love all the casts in this drama they had done an amazing job. And i just can't get over Doom and dongkyung.I love their acting and how they express their emotions and feelings its just so perfect and natural!! Their chemistry is off the charts. Love it!! Hope I'll see them both again in another drama!!

The acting was top notch. I think the only thing that may have held them up was trying to focus on her best friend's romance as well. Although, they are great actors two great romances in this story was one too many. Otherwise, it was a great drama.

For me the ratings are not that important as long as the show instill moral values. Kirah Jul 02 2021 5:59 pm I have no words for DAYS. I loved everything about it from the story line, to the actors to the visuals to the OSTs. Oh my soul, the OSTs are on a daily repeat for me. This drama was just beautiful. For the first time in a while when it ended i wanting nothing more. My heart felt at ease. One of my favorite characters is Kevin. His scenes made my day. Anyway loved it :)

seung-go Jul 01 2021 3:24 am The only good thing here is park bo young, & da won as her brother. other casts is boring, detached & flat. the story itselft never pick up. it should be done in 8-10 episodes. do you care about someone love triangle when theres a dying person that have to deal with her doom(literally)? no, i dont, theres no reason to care for them; the ji-na hyun kyu joo ik love sub story is not needed. I always skip at their parts. thank god they gave good ending, but definitely this is one and done, I rather rewatch oh my ghost, Abyss or Bong Soon when i miss Park Bo Young.

This Is Really A Masterpiece♥ At first, I was just going to watch this because of Park Bo Young, but after watching the first episode, I got hooked with it.Their love-hate relationship was depicted to the extent that Dong Kyung wished to love Myul Mang so that she won't lose anything at the end as well as Myul Mang wanting her to love him to the point that she would sacrifice everything for him. This drama was really a roller-coaster ride. At first, I was a bit sad since they didn't have any kissing scenes aside from Dong Kyung's peck on his cheek. I now realized that not all happy endings need a kiss, being together forever is enough.

The only problem is, 1st lead's love story too strong and that make love story for 2nd lead feel like I'm watch advertisement during watching drama. Always make me want to skip because I want to keep watching what gonna happen with 1st lead's love story. Actually 2nd lead's love story really beautiful, but 1st lead love story too strong and I never feel like this when watching others drama which have 2 love story like this drama.

For the last episode really make me upset, why no kiss scene between 1st lead?? damn it.. They have been separated for a while but not kiss scene when they meet again. I really hope more sweet moment between them.

The first few episodes was a rollercoaster of fun, laughter and tears all all rolled into one. The series seemed to dip in the middle as most do, but the last few episodes looked like there was a change of production staff or standards as it limped over the finish line. A happy ending was lovely. I found myself feeling very sorry for the actors trying their best with such a poorly executed final few episodes of the season. A+ start, barely a passing grade at the end.

I tols the metaphors used in this drama. They depth that those little lines can give a person is spectacular

Over all This is probably in the top for my favourite kdramas.

Park Bo-Young is cute and natural in her acting. Her crying face squeeze my heaqrt. Touching story and ending is really good and sweet. Lee Soo-Hyuk is suitable as Cha Joo-Ik, he is getting more relax in his acting. Shin Do-Hyun is new to me but i like her shy acting in front of Cha Joo-Ik. Da Won is good in acting as little brother loving his borther inlaw.

Bravo to screenwriter for a lovely romantic story. Thumb up to director, all cast and crews.

Really felt goosebumps when dk and mm entered the world of doom.

The portrayed the concept of doom and destruction in such a unique and beautiful way. We usually thing doom of the world is a large outwardly event like culmination of natural disasters or an asteroid shower hitting part but.. the sheer simpleness of doom on the world being the disappearance of humans makes it tenfold more terrifying… We didn’t die.. we just ceased to exist.

The character development and relationship between the main leads is just beautifully captivating.. It was so heart breaking and odd warming to see the events between them unfold.

Also, the love triangle between the second leads is has turned out to be one of the most well written triangle out of there.

It’s official- doom at your service is an extraordinary work of art and a wholesome of package of excellent acting, writing, music and cinematography.

Episode after episode it has left me in awe and never ceased to amaze me, not even a single boring moment. I thoroughly enjoyed this drama so far and I will really miss it once it finished after one week.

How it talks about life, death , and how we cannot change our fate. What I love in this drama is the cinematography, artistic dialogues(which is sometimes hard to understand but somehow able to catch it) , the acting and lastly but not least the amazing chemistry between the leads. Episode 14 is the best one for me, the leads showcases their emotions so perfect that i teared along with them!! Amazing acting daebak!Can't wait for the next two episodes to air!!

It is just really sad to see the ratings so low for such a beautiful drama, but i guess its too heavy for a monday night. And please stop comparing it to Goblin. They are not the same, nor the writers of this drama tried to make it like one. Let's be honest if this came to be like the Goblin there will be complaints as well like how there's no originality etc.... its very simple people, if you dont like the drama dont watch it. if you can not appreciate the story and how it is filmed stop watching it and choose something else. Just lots of crying. The idea and the cast are great, but the writing is terrible. This could have gone into some fun directions instead of spinning in a circle getting nowhere.

There is so much blank and incomplete story in this drama. I really really love SIG and PBY so, I will not leave the series unfinished, but I won't say that I liked it. I like to watch multiple stories in a drama, but the toxicity of the 2nd story? A man who left his love because of his pride and realized his love to her 10 years later, a friend who betrayed him by loving his best friend's ex, a girl who followed him for 10 years like an obsessive maniac... not counting the empty scenes in the first story. sorry but the author couldn't make a good job. if you want to watch actors and actresses in this drama, you can watch it. but I definitely do not recommend

International viewers especially here in our country would appreciate it because we don't see this kind of plot in our local tv. Koreans don't like cheesy fantasy romance cause they know that there are no romantic oppas in real life lol. It will just make them cringe and roll their eyes. They will just choose in between of a good family drama like Reply 1988 or an over the top makjang kdrama like Penthouse or Sky Castle.

I'm hoping for one of 2 scenarios. In both she survives.

1 I keep thinking about the blonde haired fellow in the pictures everyone else sees but her. She sees MM as he really is. When MM disappears, TDK's heart break will be so profound, God will make amends and TDK will eventually meet the blonde haired guy again that everyone else sees. At some point they take a picture together and when she looks at the picture, it is MM. When she looks back she sees the blonde haired fellow.

2 MM and TDK marry on the last day. They go to bed that night and when she wakes up he is gone. Fast forward a year or two later and TDK has a child by MM who watches over them from a distance for eternity.

But, this one is really different. They have a good chemistry. I just focus on their story. The second leads, are just fillers, but their acting’s are good as well.

It’s one of the best drama I’ve seen this 2021. I hope it will have a good ending. I want them to be living happily with their families and friends.

If you’re looking for a romcom, skip this one. But if you want a remarkable storyline, acting and a good love story of the leads, just this one a shot. You’re heart will skip with SIG’s looks and the way his eyes expresses. You will smile at PBY’s cute little face.

The second couple is also good, but I hate love triangles and sometimes it's like "em I don't want to see you guys, I want to see the ML and FL story".

So those who stopped before that, just pls fast fwd the episodes 6-11, then you will reach the gem at 12. I think the writers did drag it out and by right episode 12 should be at episode 7 or 8 then we will be pleased with the story trajectory. Anyway, hopefully the last 4 episodes will save this “Doomed” drama. I personally have mixed feelings about this. It was painful in the middle, draggy af. But if you endure it like a marriage, it’ll come to a surprising twist that may be redeeming like seeing your old spouse with a new lens.

You have to pay close attention to the little hints the "God" is showing us. Yellow tulips for hope, the marble that held TDK's desire, the plant slow to grow, blossoming wilting and coming back, humanity's free will over destiny. "God's" statement that love has to die to blaze again. Happy ending? Not sure but this drama, as I said many episodes before, is not boy meets girl, falls in love and lives happily ever after. It's about life and all the twists and turns. We don't always get what we want but we have had the glorious opportunity to experience it especially love and it's memories.

ying Jun 16 2021 7:28 am it's fictional, of course it's gonna be unrealistic and of course it won't make sense at times. i mean, "destruction" in human form? how unrealistic can it get more than that? still though writer-nim is doing a great job with the storyline (esp, in ep 12! i know some will say it is repetitive but it just shows that what's fated for them to happen WILL happen, and if you think about it that way, then it WILL make sense) also about the dialogue, the korean words and sentences being used in the drama are simple yet complex but still the translators are doing a great job of delivering them well! (if you don't understand korean, then i suggest you don't comment negative things about it because the korean script is beautiful)

that's it, i just felt bad because people who would want to start to this drama might drop it before even starting because of how negative some the comments are. it's a really really really wonderful drama and i hope more people would give it a chance! ><

After that it's just push and pull and dilly-dallying from the leads. What the heck? The writer also adds in fake profound dialogues that are just annoying. Everything needs to be said in words because the story is not good enough. I also don't see the chemistry.

pikachu Jun 15 2021 10:39 pm loving the cute couple Myeol Mang and Dong Kyung but i think i understand what is wrong with this drama already. its either writer should have focus on Dong Kyung spending her last 100 days happily together with Myeol Mang (the "contract" thing is fine), or you go all out in separating them (no harm to have a happy ending for them still or sad ending is fine). here the writer seem to try to do both and end up dragging the story and the direction is heading nowhere, hence viewers are losing patience. i think we dont need 16 episodes to explain Dong Kyung's last 100 days.

and i agree that at this juncture, the love triangle between Ji Na is more captivating.

oh well im still looking forward to the next ep ?

It keeps going around and around complete lost focus of the main theme which I still have no clue what that is. They have a good cast but I feel like their talents are wasted here. Unfortunately I don’t think i can continue. The plot seems like it’s going nowhere.

The storyline is a bit dragging and boring, but somehow i still watching it cause i still have hope that this will turnout good at the end. And i do really need justice for the second couple, Cha Joo Ik and Na Ji Na. Seriously i think their story is more captivating than the main couple. I'm eager to watch their relationship developing each episode but the couple only appear like 5 minutes in each eps which makes me dissapointed. I do really hope they got more screentime cause they are really cute

I dont think its hard to follow along, however I watch a lot of time travel, other world, inception like shows so I may just have practice and patience.

Spoiler? The crying scene was awkward to me and took me out of the show for a minute but luckily it was brief.

From ep 6 I was already questioning what exactly is the whole point of the drama. What do they want to resonate with the viewers? Where is the story going? The love triangle is actually much more interesting than the main character's story. I'll keep watching it because I feel like the story could be better. I'm still gonna give the writers a chance to redeem themselves in the last few episodes.

Praises and critiques both are valid. So, its best to let people speak about what they thought about this drama. I highly anticipated this drama because of the leads. Tbh, I didnt even expect it to be like goblin, well, goblin was good but its also not really my cup of tea. I didnt expect it to be having dramatic and dynamic plot, too. But at least it should be reasonable and explain itself. I have to drop this drama at episode 9, i just can’t handle it anymore. Maybe I will pick it up again later. But to me this drama has a poor introduction, not only about the main characters but also of the universe. I have to admit they are poetic and has great cinematography. But we viewers need to understand what exactly Myeolmang and the girl deity do, to what extent is their power, are there any other deity? What actually they want with DK’s life?? Well, after episodes of trying to understand and wreck my brain to understand this drama I just came to a conclusion that mybe it’s just my poor comprehension. Also doesn’t understand why DK and MM kept going back and fort between love and hate. Dont let me start with the secondary couples. The minimum requirement of a drama is it should be self explanatory and to me this drama doesn’t meet that criteria. Good for you who can handle and enjoy this drama! To each their own.

I was anticipating for some revelations or surprises like for example, a dramatic backstory on why myulmang was at the funeral (like was he a human before so he was there mourning for someone?) or how dongkyung’s parents died but i got none of that lol. The drama just kept running around the plot, “immortal falls in love with the mortal”.

The cast and cinematography are great but the storyline is really confusing and lacking. I like meaningful lines and deep words but this drama uses them too much that i had to repeat some scenes over and over to think of what he/she means and sometimes i just don’t get what they’re talking about at all (yes i’m pertaining to whatever shit the little girl (diety) is talking about). I liked this better when myulmang was still threatening dongkyung that he’d take her life because that’s the only point i found interesting.

The only reason this drama is popular is because of the Leads. Seo in guk and lee so hyuk are both incredibly hot, the female leads are all gorgeous. It's been a long time since i watched a high quality drama like this.

The character and plot development in this drama has perfectly executed. It's really engaging and i enjoyed every second of it. After the reset, some people might think it's brought everything to zero. But no. There's a reason the reset happened and it was necessary. So far the drama really focused on the character developments and establishing a beautiful and strong base for the characters' relationship while still developing the plot- ie how Myul Mang found his home that he was searching for eternity and finally found the love and compassion through dong kyung. And now after the incident with dong kyung's memory, im really excited to see how their relationship plays out.

There are some people are just too foolish and biased to understand this drama. "no plot development" ?? lmao i have to laugh. I mean, okay you are incapable of understanding this drama but why are you spreading negativity (im. referring to the immature comments) ? Stop being such a lowlife and let us enjoy.

Wonder why does the gal at the hospital (should be the deity or creator of the world) kind of want to break them up and why does she has heart problem and have to be hospitalized? Beginning a bit confusing about the lead couple's contract. And yes I also think that the 2nd lead couple (or triangle relationship) is kind of redundant and their scenes are like filler scenes. I don't find it interesting cos there is no other aspect in it other than usual boring plot on a boy dump a gal, after so many years the gal still bear a grudge and cannot let go that's why she wrote her male protagonists behaving like that jerk, then the other guy who is the friend/teacher of that guy actually likes the gal etc etc.

I do not find it boring, and I'm a picky watcher. And i highly apreciate that there are 2 1hour episodes a week and not 1 episode. If there's gonna be season 2 I'll be devastated to wait cause it's just so good

If you’re fan of dramatic genre which involve fights, family drama, violence and all, then this drama is definitely not for you. Go and watch Fights For My Way, Penthouse, or Vincenzo instead of complaining about this masterpiece.

Dont ruin other people’s day with your complaints. None of us need it. It saddens enough that this amazing drama is already coming to an end. After 3 weeks, there’ll be no more SIG & PBY chemistry to light up our week. So please keep the ugly comments in your ugly heart.

From casting to cinematography, it’s a perfect drama. Their OSTs are the bomb. Wouldn’t want it any other way. Just keep on praying, hoping for a happy ending tho (one like Goblin also i dont mind).

I mean at least she needs to have the spirit to live a better life even tho people around her will hurt no matter what. The rating seems to going down. But i am happy to see the actresses & actors are working great after all, fighting!!!

Gangnam is right! Story just goes in circle! I just don't know where this story leads to. No hate! But this is just how i felt! Hope the screenwriter will improve the story somehow!

I cried a lot but at the same time felt really happy when dong-kyung and myul mang have decided to fight for their love.. the writers did really good with the story, bo young and in-guk together with the rest of the cast did a great job with acting.. im inlove with this drama ❤️

They add mamy kissing scenes and i start thinking thats unnecessary because the girl going to die soon or world will destroyed soon LMAO, hey sctipt writer, who need those romance scenses and kissing scenes now? They should focused on how these main couple can survived!!.

The 2nd lead story is much more interesting i guest, but it just a snack they dont even give these couple get more airing time. Lol

He had feelings and compassion and emotions we even saw him crying in the past also he was upset that he was a destroyer and he felt sorry for human beings and even tried to stay still or destroy himself .This was also confirmed by that God "shin". Myul Mang has repeatedly confirmed that people either want him or hate him, so it is natural that the girl's attention and feelings make him fall in love with her. he was just pretending that he had no feelings because he was suffering from seeing the destruction of those he loved and being the reason of that . The growth of Myul Mang's feelings about his relationship with God "shin" can also be seen. The girl's character is also interesting, although she is known as an outspoken person, as she easily offered to live with him , but she does not reveal her inner and true feelings, and it was Myul Mang who realized her introversion although he could not read her mind. the second couple, I feel that their presence in the story is not that necessary. What motivates me to watch the series is their fate and how they are going to choose . Of course, I dont mind if a love rival being added to the story, I personally enjoy watching Jealous Myul Mang ??.

Coffee Jun 09 2021 9:57 pm I just hate the way they characterised Lee Hyun Kyu, he could've be a decent character without all the past love situation where he ignored her and all. It kinda remind me of NDS from Start Up They could've put some effort in writing for the 2nd side story

1. Cha Joo Ik acts like a brother to him but LHK still ignore him most of the time. In the latest episode, he could've a talk with CJI and asked what really happen..,yet he decided to go to NJN which bring to the second point

2. His script was , "Date me ,even if you have someone you like ","Because you met me first" ? If it works that way , Ji Pyeong would've gotten Dal mi in Start Up. (like a child protecting its toy)

I find that his character is extremely childish , he doesn't want NJN to be dating somebody else even though he was the one who left her *more confused face*

1. Cha Joo Ik is not g*y. He said he likes HK but not in that way..meaning. it is more like when you hate what your friend did but you still lile your friend because he/she is yout only friend. He likes him being clingy and needs his support..even he know HK whom always get benefit from him. Bur related to Najina he cant help he felt sorry for her. 2. He is rich, but his relationship with his dad is not that good..his dad always think he is just doesnt have aim in life, easy to give up, he just playing around (a lazy rich boy), but when he ask more responsibility like manage more buildings his dad refused and trust his brother more. I think he is always want to prove he is a worthy son for his dad what he is doing now is his way to prove himself..he doesnt even want ppl know he is rich. 3. I think CJI has a boring life, habing LHK around is his joy, and he loves to observed people, and reading books for his work, observes HK and NJN behaviour or even TDK. He found out HK is funny character is like a character on the book he is reading..because LHK said he doesnt remember his 1 St love face but at the end he always get interest to every woman who replicate his 1st love (remember the kitchen convo, he said he met a pretty woman and CJI think that woman looks like NJN). So the books imeaning seems a metaphore for LHK. A romantic egoist 4. Fans teories said, NJN will start seeing LHK again but in other side she is start having feeling to CJi, and makes many excuses to meet him even he is not her editor anymore.

I do love LSH and NJN visuals, they are like flowets or characters in webtoon. They both so beautiful. But i fell LSH screen time is so little. It will be such waste for TVN hiring LSH for serving his visual withoit giving him more screen time and more conversation. He is important character in this drama..but ive found that his script is less than 5 minutes in every episode.

A potential character but they just left him like that.

But for some weird reason, I wanted her character Tak Dong Kyung to somehow end up with Cha Joo Ik (Lee Soo Hyuk) LOL. There's some weird chemistry going on with those 2.

I hope Na Ji Na chooses Cha Joo Ik in the end. If your boyfriend leaves you without a word nor a clean break up for 9 years, he's an A hole regardless of the reason.

This show is really good! I'm so hooked into it.

Very different from the sad aura he had in The Smile Has Left Your Eyes--which was understandable given the storyline there. Anyway, what I'm saying is I really like Seo In Guk here. Park Bo Young is very bright as usual despite her character's depression. Their chemistry is also good. It's what keeps me watching the drama, aside from my love for this genre.

However, the storyline is too loose. Hopefully, the writer would tighten it up in the 2nd half of the drama. The second leads are totally unnecessary. One episode (I think 7 or 8?) spent 20+ wasted minutes on them. I don't get why the supporting casts get the love triangle trope. It's not necessary for the lead, but again, the 2nd love line is not necessary either. If the writer gave those minutes in establishing Myul Mang's history instead, it would have been better. It would also deepen the reason why he fell in love "so fast" for Dong Kyung. Also, more romantic scenes between the two. They deserve it.

Writer-nim, please don't waste precious minutes on unnecessary love lines which doesn't help the main plot at all (unlike the Grim Reaper and Sunny's in Goblin). I truly hope the next half would be better. Seo In Guk, fighting! Park Bo Young, fighting!

It’s all a pretense of having this deep storyline when the characters, especially the male lead is especially bland and boring. I get they want to do the whole oh he can’t relate to humans but lmao you have one right in front of you. They could have made it interesting THW the point where she also tries to get him to find himself by seeing how beautiful humanity can be. With humor, laughter, the smallest things. But you can’t pretend like he’s not boring lmao he is. And I don’t believe how quickly he’s “fallen in love with her” this person has hated humans since the beginning of time and all of a sudden he knows what it’s like to love?? Lmao it should have been a journey. This is ridiculous. Especially the second lead characters. They’re so Incredibly Boring. To the point where it’s so pointless watching them in a fantasy drama. Like why are they relevant. It feels like they don’t even belong in the show lmao. Clue #1, the ultimate sacrifice for love is to die for someone. Clue #2, God also dies for sin but is reborn again, Clue #3 remember the face in the pictures that do not look like him to Ta? We have seen that face twice now. Clue#4 when she says she loves him back, Doom will die and she and her loved ones will live. That's as far as I can go, but the ending in my playbook is both sad and happy. For those who have stopped watching, you are missing a wonderful drama. Also if I were 40 years younger, SIK would be totally my type.

Apparently the writer's idea of love is, if you break up, or when you are not physically with the people you love, then.. you don't love them anymore? Isnt what they have done so far only shows how much they love each other? Im not sure about these parts.

But the casts are amazing, and the acting on point! Love how they played out their characters very well. Kudos!

I'm wondering whether Cha Joo Ik is gay or is he acting that way so that Na Ji Na doesn't have any hope/ got hurt . His story line is full with holes -

1.If he is actually that rich, why would he bother working at the company? There's a few answer that I can speculate -He knows Na Ji Na is a writer and wanted to work with her (first love and etc) -He wanted to stay close to Hyun Kyu (but he doesn't really show his feelings...)

I have a strong guts telling me he's gay but the story line doesn't make any sense.For Example:

In one of the episode where he remember the day he kissed Na Ji Na,he read a book that said,

"Every woman I liked was Francoise , They were copy of you "-The Romantic Egoist

I was hoping that he'll end up with Na Ji Na if he actually likes her. But the drama mainly focus on the main couple, while I got interested in the 2nd couple,

Jun 09 2021 5:14 am I understand why many people here find this drama boring, indeed it develops slowly and the narrative is partly repetitive, however I like the main story line and PBY and SIG are flawless. Now what I really don't get here it's the second story line and the love triangle. I am a bit confused, does Cha Joo Ik love Na ji Na or Lee Hyun Kyu? Of course I guess that would be too much of a twist so maybe Mr. Cha loves Na Ji Na but doesn't make much sense all their story or maybe I really can't get it. I will keep watching it because I rarely drop a Drama but honestly I think the second story line could have been more refreshing or actually we could have something more mature since the main topic here it's about life and death and unconditional love.

Sure the storyline is a little bit confusing at the beginning BUT the cast definitely delivers and they really make me intrigued for each coming episodes! Its both heart moving and heart fluttering. I personally love it and obsessed with it. I keep waiting for Monday to come and keep refreshing my Youtube for any new BTS. Awesome!

And the side couple is absolutely BORING I skip all their parts. There’s no supernatural element about them so I don’t understand the point of us watching them. They’re just an average couple thats in a love triangle. In goblin the reason why the side couple was so intense romantically was because of the conflict of him being supernatural. Like what is this. The writer is creating a puzzle making me confused but at the same time forcing me to figure out the why, what, when, and the how of a particular event. Reading a mystery book is troubling to the human mind. People who appreciate human mind will appreciate this drama. I will continue to watch until the end because I can sense that there is a big reveal at the end of this drama. Park Bo young and Seo In Guk are both skilled actors. They are able to convey their emotions through their eyes and facial expressions making their performances believable.

Everyone is really good but I feel (own personal feeling), it's just a waste of their talent. I do not understand why FL needs to be so depressed and sympathetic towards her death, and story didn't have to revolve around that only. You never know when you gonna die ever, you could have been going to office and get hit by a car and it's done. Death is the ultimate truth of life, but FL didn't have to be so depressed over her own death and cry always that she doesn't wanna die. Of course no one wants to die, but you cant avoid it ever. Story writing could have been way better, showing different aspects of everyone's life.

The dialog that goes on between Tak Dong-Kyung and Myul-Mang has been confusing. The dialog between Myul-Mang and Sonyeoshin has been confusing. Even the triangle between Na Ji-Na, Cha Joo-Ik, and Lee Hyun-Kyu is confusing. The whole story line is just not making any sense. Tak Dong-Kyung needs to pick herself or the world and to love or not love Myul-Mang. Then their interactions is just giving me whiplash...you like him and then you don't like him. I can't keep up I have never watched a drama with the writing of it be so bad that it confused me right out of the gate and still has not gotten any better.

I dont blam SIG & PBY, I love them both and very excited for the drama. i think the script not written well and thoroughly. Waste of talent and i do have high expectation on the drama once i heard the OST lineup is all big name from Ailee, Gummy, and Davichi.

Please writer rewrite your script for next 6 episode and conclude Na Ji na love story. Urgh i miss Goblin. So good.

Tak dong kyuny is sick and she has very less time to live on this earth. You can see the pain in her and among her brother,friends and her aunt about how it feels to lose your loved ones. It shows how important it is to live your life to the fullest becuase we don't know the future. It shows how it feela to have compassion for the love of your life. It shows how a person may change your life. Seo in guk has tried to potray his character myulmang very well. Park bo young is great as always in her acting. The whole cast has done well. The character “Doom” has a very huge impact on me. I Iove that character so much and I feel that Seo In Guk did a beautiful job in portraying Doom. This drama is art. The storyline is so beautifully written, it hurts. The romance is so addicting and exhilarating and it’s new. A normal girl with three months to live and Doom; the one who’s behind destruction and, well, doom. Fate works in weird and thrilling ways, especially when love is involved. The lines in this drama have captured my heart and unleashed a part of me that has an infatuation with words so strong I don’t understand it myself. I love it. I love it so much, I’ve never loved anything as much as I love this drama. It may have a sad ending but sad endings are what make the story beautiful. There is so much more to sad endings than the end itself. It’s the journey. That’s what I’m loving right now.

I also love how she (Dong Kyung) does depends on him somewhat because of the pain but at the same time she isn't submissive to her life and the people around her. Character development, you don't see this often with other series like this, they always depend on the guy too much or he just happens to always save the female lead is any minor/major scenes for heart points. Can't wait to see more and how it will end. Their character portraition is cringe depending on the scene of course because in reality that is how some people really act hahaha so they are doing a really good job.

First of all, it's a weekday drama with a terrible time slot cz it airs on monday and tuesday but still it trends #1 in korean searches for three weeks straight now. A lot of koreans are watching this show through paid streaming sites and international fans LOVE it.

And the pacing and the dialogues in this drama are well thought out. Some people are saying its slow and some are its fast which is very funny to me because MANY of us see that this drama is perfectly paced. For the type of drama it is, everything happens at certain moments for a reason. Everything has a meaning behind it which makes the whole show much more beautiful and interesting to watch.

tang Jun 03 2021 5:15 pm i didn't know some of you guys could still find this boring when in fact I got to watch 8 episodes straight the moment I started watching! I just can't find the drive to stop because this is just so amazing! Imagine loathing doom, then living with doom, then planning to love doom for him to disappear then breaking her own heart because she fell for doom and the world depends on her love now. I'm really hard to please regarding this kind of shits but I would rate 5stars on this:D and btw, I hate it that I could only watch 2eps per week. I should've let this drama finish first before I watch the whole thing once at a time because it's making me sick thinking about what will happen next and i will find the answer the next week. it's like being crazy the whole week and finally taking meds at tuesdays TT

Next time the rating will be 1 percent and I'm not going to be surprised. I feel bad for PBY and SIG to get such a bad drama with stupid and boring storyline.

I understand why people disappointed about the frustrating plot, specially for the main leads..and the production cant do anything about it now because all filming already done. They cannt change the plot. Besides all SIG drama never get high rating except reply..he is so underrated actor, similar with kim jae wook. They are good actor, maybe they just prejudice againts in guk because he is a singer actor and jae wook was a model.

I super love their chemistry and their acting is superb. I also like the supporting characters. I don't like sad ending drama even if it's good as what other reviewer says coz I'm more on RomCom and Mystery thriller, but this will be exception. I will just think that this is like Goblin that though they cant be together they are still together in mind and soul. Well yeah! I will keep on watching this Doom at your service :)

Love the chemistry of the main lead they are the reason why I started watching this show. True it was slow for the first 3 episodes but that’s how most drama starts. Also, It is really amazing to see that Kdramas have this level of production while still in Covid restrictions. The number of extras used in the 1st episode, different locations, especially the ending scene and the technical level of it, must have required a Herculean effort of coordination. To keep all of the production staff, crew, stunt, extras and main actors all safe while filming and post-production... is not an easy task. Thank you to all involved so that we may enjoy.

kei May 31 2021 1:10 am i just wanted to comment that i'm in love with the directing for this. there's many scenes when they're switching from real world to dreamworld or likewise but i'm glad they're using technical camera work for the transitions instead of cgi which always ends up looking cheap. so the directing has huge thumbs up and ofc our leads are top notch actors and they definitely don't disappoint. i do hope that the 2nd leads plot will end fast cause so far their chemistry is no where near the main leads' and it's just wasted time away from our main couple.

You get hung up on every episode making you want to watch the next one asap lol. I actually really like the plot, interesting and mysterious. But so far I'll give it a 4 out of 5. Yes, I get hooked up on every episode but I think it's too easy to guess what might happen in the end (I think one of them/both may die because of love OR main girl's wish is for them to stay alive and love each other freely LOL) but you'll never know maybe, something unexpected might happen. Sooo yea, I will still root for this drama and I hope people will give it a chance.

It is a bizarre relationship between human and sort of deity who uses human body as his vessel (although I can be wrong if this drama will reveal something more later). Storyline should be polished better so that the viewers won't be bored from episode to episode. But I'd like to give a chance for this drama simply because I love the premise. I am curious how will they end up.

I saw many fellow viewers complained about the story, boring scenes, cringey actress, and some loopholes... I'm not against your opinions since you might have started this with high expectations.

For LSH, we see a bit of him but not interesting role. For Kang Tae Oh, his presence for the 6 periods amounts more or less 5 minutes in total and his role is a bad boy. I wonder how he can accept such a role, anybody would do. It's just a bait for the viewer. Once you set an expectation, you can't enjoy the drama even the 2 leads did a good job. I hope for the rest of the drama, they will get more presence and more interesting plot.

This is not a romcom. It does not pretend to be. Is there a reason people do not want something other than the typical kdrama romcom?

These characters are great. As far as the second male lead goes - he too is doing a great job and I feel his character is more than we realize.

I agree with Sari Sari - they have been in love with each other since the beginning. Ever wonder why her? What is the Creator like figure plotting here? Ahhhhh someone is saving someone in a big way and through love.

Give it a chance, lose the tropes and the silly love stories - get into something else. We are being offered, finally, something really great here!

There have been a handful of deep thinking k dramas here like this - enjoy them or move on. There is no reason to hate on this - it's not your style is all.

Support your favorite actors and stop bashing this because you are not interested in something with better quality than we usually see.

I mean it's too much for their storyline if we add someone or place Cha Jooik in their story. There's nothing more complex and problematic when it's fate and circumstance that plays jokes on you. Especially now Myulmang and Dongkyung have feelings for each other, the deity will always reset or put things back in order since it the right thing to do. MM and DK may be destined for each other but they'll cause problems to each of their worlds if they stay together. Either of them will be stuck in a lonely place if they'll follow their hearts unless the deity, the short-haired girl or someone higher than them decides to change MM's and DK's fate. Perhaps the ending, DK's cancer vanishes miraculously since MM sacrificed himself to that lonely place then it so happened that MM becomes a person again (or finally), he might not remember DK exactly or constantly follows DK wherever she is like a guardian angel, not as Doom.

May 25 2021 10:53 am This reply is in response to Gina ....first of all ...the drama has the genre of gothic romantic of 18th century with modern korean twist like Jane Eyre or Rebecca or wuthering heights ..and I liked this ..that grey misunderstood or byronic hero and tragic heroin but with great determination in backdrop of supernatural and bluish tones ...I love romcoms, but now I want something new as well. We have too many rom coms where people really wage wars who should our FL should end up with -second lead male or first male lead .really, means really ..if the couple's love was so great then we would never have this ambivalent attitude ...sometimes you need this tragic intense passionate love story yeah it sounds nonsense but I don't mind seeing it like a kind of love that you would do anything for it ..that craziness ..we are missing those stories nowadays ..thats why we like Goblin's second couple - what a tragic powerful story ..when I watching those two I don't want to break the flow with some comedy I like Goblin and still enjoyed but it seems that suddenly Goblin started behaving all comedic ..he was strated as off this angst warrior but suddenly becomes goofing ..it seems out of character suddenly ..though I still enjoyed and ..yes he seems sugar daddy to the teenage fl .chemistry was zero ..but bromance was everything

Offcourse the drama has its loopholes and I think it the absence of great menacing villian or some suspense and backstory of doom ..that's is why it feels incomplete , but chemistry is so great ...I hope writers could have improved it ...I think they are going for same typical korean melodramatic philosophical poetic dragging ending ...

And what the girl means in ep 3 is that she will do anything she can to stop MM from his plans in destroying the world or something, I'm not sure but hope that answers your question :)

Patty May 23 2021 3:51 pm To me, this drama seems to be over the heads of many of the viewers who are not liking it or find it boring. It is pretty complicated. It requires a lot of thinking and there is already twists in it and more coming.

Episodes 1 & 2 were excellent. Episodes 3 & 4 are explaining what is going on with him and the contract. It's not really a traditional love story - it is about saving lives and repairing broken lives. Is the world worth saving with everything going on today? Good question.

Is he a positive or negative character? Why does he even exist and what is his punishment? Light vs dark theme?

It has great dialog and acting and realism that I think most do not want to see nor think about. The writers have done an exceptional job.

I thank those explaining the contract for the others who are not wanting to follow it.

I look forward to how this progresses. I just finished watching "Move to Heaven", another more complicated kdrama and I really like them the best: dramas that make you think. Dramas with social conscience. I like them the best. I know that not all do.

Kudos to the actors who are making this work! The are amazing.

However there is too much dialogue from the TDK and MM that are too confusing and could be misleading about the plot. I really couldn’t grasp what their contract means until I watch ep 3-4

Anyway, SIG and PBY visual alone could keep my eyes glued to the screen tho

It is not a boy meets girl, falls in love and lives happily ever after story. It brings home the theory of. "Be careful what you wish for." Most folks wish for something bigger and better in life, but that always comes with some kind of price tag. I think this Kdrama is challenging and I have watched each episode x2 so I completely get it. Watch to the end and then it will be fun seeing the comments.

Pasta May 20 2021 2:34 am To everyone confused about the contract, they summarized it clearly on Ep 3. The terms are as follows: within 100 days (this limit is fixed since she is fated to die due to her cancer), TDK must: 1. Wish for MM aloud to End The World. (Fixed: Drunk TDK made a wish on his shooting star during his birthday to end the world. During MM's birthdays, they choose one wish to grant and he chose TDK's - since he also wanted that to happen (for him to finally disappear), he actually forced her to accept the deal as seen at the end of Ep1 and Ep2) 2. She is also given another "real" wish she can ask MM to grant as sober. 3. MM, in exchange, will make her feel no pain during the 100 days of contract that will be caused by her illness - thus he gave her the rechargeable red thread bracelet.

It is considered as a contract breach if: 1. TDK didn't wish aloud to MM to end the world within 100 days. 2. If TDK exceeded the limit of 100 days without wishing about the doom and dies. 3. She suddenly die without wishing for doom within 100 days. (so basically, all MM wants to hear is for her to wish Doom that she needs to say aloud within those 100 days.)

And in the exact moment the contract breaches, the person she loves at that exact time will die.

TDK thinks the contract is ridiculous from the start since she didn't thought that a supernatural being will grant it anyway most especially it's about bringing an end to the world and it was a drunken wish, but MM sees this as an opportunity to finally get out of his fate of being in endless suffering. MM used the truck scene in his advantage and at the same scene, TDK starts feeling the symptoms of her illness. The contract got sealed once she took his hands. In a way, the contract works for them both since I think TDK has already accepted her fate to die anyway, yet she just don't want to have a painful death or feel the pain due to her illness as days pass. And when end of the world happens, MM will be freed from his fated role. As TDK will probably breach the contract because she doesn't want people she care about to die (from the apocalypse or the breach), she told her plan is to love MM the most so her brother (whom she loved the most now) will not die by the time the contract gets breached. Thus in 100 days, she needs to Love MM, that could eventually kill him (not sure about this though because he said he can only die if the world disappears, but I think he just don't know if it's possible in that way).

After watching the posters , I got more excited to see lee soo hyuk, shin do hyun and kang tae oh , and the fact that they were the second leads. 1st two episodes were quite interesting , but I'm not at all okay with the fact that second leads had very less screen timing (like dude these extra characters are meant to steal the show) . The cinematography, ost , chemistry between SIG and PBY is too good to be true. I'm loving their small conversations but dude!! Show something more interesting than this. It's too early to say this but I'm kinda not liking the second lead's story. Also I'm a bit sad that the episode ratings are dropping but i can understand why is this happening. They should be focusing more on progressing the story rather than revolving around the same thing and i really hope that second lead's story gets better. I never thought that I'd be writing this kind of review for this drama as i had a lot of expectations (but still it's just 4 episodes,i hope that it gets better or it'll be a waste of such a good cast).

Others say that they dont like seo in guks eyes but for me it is his sexiest asset along with his mole.?? PS. There should be more magical scenes or some mysteries added. The love between the supporting roles couple is not interesting. I thought Lee So Hyuk would have some feelings for Park Bo Young. If the storylines does not improve, I may drop the movie although the chemistry between Seo In Guk and Park Bo Young is the highlight.

So I got hooked from the first two episodes of this drama, the storyline fits their character especially I can feel SIG character here, and what I feel to be more excited is the ending, because it’s started with a strong and solid story.
