The story depicts the romance between a bright woman, Mi-Poong (Lim Ji-Yeon), who defected from North Korea and a man, Jang-Go (Son Ho-Jun), in Seoul who is a stickler for the rules. Conflicts also arise over a 100 billion won inheritance.

I admit I don't like her in this drama, but I liked her in Five Enough and especially Lovers in Bloom. I much would've preferred the original actress in this role. I loved her in Unknown Woman.

lrt Oct 24 2017 10:33 am These 50episode dramas pace themselves so don't up early. This seasoned writer keeps you interested though an ever changing story without relying on fillers. Romance is just the backdrop but sweet and forgiving. It is over the top beratement and betrayal with loyalty and determination. I loved it...hated it at times for what happened to the characters but in the end cried like a baby. Good drama for me.....!

Probably my bad there...haha. Anyway the first 10episodes were really good. Now it is plainly dragging & boring....except for the part on the grandfather... the love story are just not interesting anymore... anyway tq for the first few episodes! Now let's watch 'reunited worlds' & 'the King loves' hahaha

Most of all LJY & the casts were simply amazing. The acting came naturally & so alive...especially LJY. Daebak. And my heart goes with them....

zombie Aug 01 2017 11:01 am Completely fell for my mipunga and my changodudeoppa, they should’ve won the dramas awards for best couple of the year their love story was so sweet warm in the midst of all the horripilant never ending evil deeds from the 3 amigas bitches gumsila, shineiya and chunjaya, what, 10 years for shineiya? LOL, that whack in the head alone from behind was worth the 10 years for 1st degree attempted murder and what about the embellessment, fraud, kidnapping, ransom for 5 mil, confinement, mugging and so on and so forth at least 50 years was the minimum. I promised myself not to watch more than 1 episode per night to not get carried away like it happened to me before with autumn in my heart and winter sonata I watched all the episodes in a row almost in one day I just couldn’t stop watching it but in this drama when I got to epi 35 the thing became so interesting that I couldn’t stop watching until harabuchi could find mipunga and her mom and so he did find them in epi 49 so unwillingly I got into a marathon of 14 episodes in a row, wow, it was 8am I only stopped cuz I got to go to work I used up all my calling in sick leaves for the year so I could not miss that day so there I was sitting at my desk with my eyes open but sleeping ha ha I didn’t do anything fruitful that day but I hugely enjoyed every bit of those 14 episodes I mean the adrenalin was overflowing and when daloya punched chunjaya in her face it felt sooooo gooood see her bloody face yeeeessss. I can forgive shinei cuz of all the suffering she endured as a kotjebi (abandoned orphans dying of hunger in north korea) first I knew about them in 60 minutes and I thought it was bad propaganda from the west to discredit the communists but I guess it’s a true story. I can also forgive chunjaya cuz she is really stupid I mean low IQ and she was mostly doing what shinei told her to do what I can not forgive tho are the bad deeds of gumsila towards mipunga and her mother she did that with ultimate passion with the desire to hurt deep down that’s what I can never forgive her never cholte, cholte, cholteroooooooo The best scene in this drama happened in the last episode when the retarded abachi gave his wife, mipungas mom, a gift, when she was opening the box a huge black tarantula jumped all over her face and I jump off my sofa like 50 cm cuz of the freaking tarantula I couldn’t stop laughing all day whoahahaha This drama was so great its one of the best if not the best of the many I have already seen. The first 20 epi were good, entertaining but from there the writer went to sleep and the drama lost its rudder nothing really was uncovered until epi 35 where things started unfolding real fast it was incredibly good it really captivated me I guess the writer was saving it for last, good job the ending was good and they all live happily ever after even gumsila that joined a temple as a novice to pray and pay for all her sins but in the end I think she got accepted by harabuchi and mipungis mom, kumo namyi and the freaky owner of the shop tied the knot and lived happily with who else his freaky son, halmoni with her new grandgrandchild could not be more happy when mipungi and changooppa remarried, chansu the rookie actor and freaky hiraya and the new baby started a new good life, shineiya and chunjaya tho in jail they comfort each other and lived well I guess compared to all the grave sins they had committed, daloya started a new happy life with 50 mil courtesy of harabuchi　and his new beautiful wife which was nothing compared to the freaking chunjaya, hidonga cursed with meeting his evil wench wife lived his life happily trying to help the needy in poor countries with the help of shineyas precocious daughter　yujina which probably became a successful woman, yusonga, son of yonchola mipungis killed brother probably went to an elite university of course paid all by harabuchi and became a successful lawyer or prosecutor, the rich girl that changooppa dumped went back to the states further her studies and probably married a rich guy and became a successful career woman, giwoka, chunjayas mom probably was kept on the running forever by the loan sharks after failing to paid back the money she borrowed for her gambling addiction, harabuchi probably had a sweet and fulfilled death cuz all his survivors family had reunited and the inheritance was well taken care of falling in good hands

Sunbeam May 03 2017 1:03 am Greedy Chung Ja holds true to her personality even in jail for all that she did, jumping up and down when her daughter told her Dal Ho got a large inheritance from Duk-Chun. Too bad she won't be able to get her hands on anyof it. I am so happy Dal Ho wants a divorce.

I loved when Dal-Rae, grandmother was doing the dumpling commercial for Mi-Poong and asked Jang-So "was she easy on the eyes." She is such a jewel. Loved her personality in this drama, and I have enjoyed her in other shows I have seen her in.

Evil Geum-Sil blames Chung-Ja for hating and making Mi-Poong's life miserable. She is so lying the wicked witch.

The outcome of a situation if treated unfairly or unjustly accused is what we all look for in life, and has been totally experienced in these lives. Not only GREAT ACTING but OUTSTANDING DIRECTING. I will miss this drama. I got hooked. There's no pill for that and I don't want one.

Though I would not consider the cast A list actors, the acting was excellent. I was surprised that they did not have the father (Kim Dae-Hoon) regain his memory, was almost sure that they would work it in where his memory would be triggered when his had his first bite of the dumplings.

Pershap, the writer/director should consider not producing too draggy dramas in future. Looking forward to more short and entertaining dramas soon.

After waiting through so many previous shows of evil unchecked, it was refreshing to see Shin-ae and Chung-Ja get their just desserts. It will be interesting to see if Shin-Ae has anything else up her sleeve in the last two episodes.

I don't believe and nobody believe it but it is true, this people have hatred and high spirit of revenges toward their enemies.

Tracking down their history, you will know how cruel their leader execute their relatives and friends who against him even his own brother now. So, I agreed with this writer 's theory. Shin Ae is cruel, she do anything to get to her ways because she was raised in N. Korea. No way to stop her unless she dies. Grandpa Kim and Jo Dal-ho should report and caught Shin Ae once they found out she was an impostor but they are stupid, letting her be.

I don't think I should watch again with sub. because I can't stand of Shin-Ae. @Yuling, you 're right. I think Shin-Ae kills Dae-hoon. I don't like he been killed because all the whiles, grandpa been looking for his lost son and the writer never gives him a happy moment that he recovers. This is so sad, why always the evils win?

Already 50 episodes, I still haven't see Mi-poong and her mother united with their lost father and have a happy ending. The worst is the spoiler showed us that possibility Shin-Ae kills Dae-hoon and bury him. Please writer, don't do that! Is already too much evil done by Shin-Ae toward Mi-poong 's family.

izen Feb 17 2017 3:54 am I watched this drama because of my husband, he was so curious about it. We usually watched K-dramas together, but it was our first time to see 20+ episodes. Anyways, this drama could have been perfect if they balance the positivity ( love story of Mi poong & Jang go, Mi poong's mom and dad) and negativity ( dealing with evil people). I am always pissed off everytime I watched those evil characters!It made me mad and hoping that these characters will only stay in a reel drama.I fell in love with Oppa Jang go's character! He would do everything just to see his woman happy. I also love Jo dal ho, Mr. kim, Joo Young ae, and dal rae!I am looking forward to the next episodes. As the ending approaches, I really really feel sad! I am gonna miss this show.I hope all rising new stars from this drama will have a big break and good opportunities with their acting career.I am looking forward to see more project of Lim Ji Yeon and Son Ho Jun.

Emily Feb 16 2017 9:09 am I am glad they added episodes probably to show viewers how the writer will redeem all the misdeeds of this long and torturous drama. It is so centered on the bad characters and both the good characters can't seem to at least win a few victories.

Let us wait and see whether the last episodes will help undo all the evil that has been prolonged so much. I just wish there were more episodes to show how once and for all the good characters enjoy their well deserved victory.

I would have enjoyed seeing more of Mi-Poong and her mother being able to be with the grandfather in his house where they belonged. One of the mistakes though was when Mi-Poong's mother wanted to search for the grandfather, Mi-Poong did not want to do that. When she married Jang-Go, she should have pursued it then as he would know how to do the background work.

The writer must not be reading the negative comments from the viewers. Maybe he is only concerned about the ratings and not the negativity. The ratings seem to be pretty good though.

Rather than MiPoong nobly forgiving her tormentors at the end show it looks like Mr Kim with the help of DalHo will be dropping some biblical style vengeance on their heads now that he knows the truth, even more so once he learns exactly all about the things they did to harm his family. Looking forward to the finish, hope they don't blow it.

I know these are just dramas but do pray that this does not happen in real life, one never knows.....SAD!

I don't blame Shin-Ae and Chung Ja as roles in this drama but the writer, Kim Sa-kyung. I know he wants to make it extreme torments by this two evil women to get viewers the feels of lies but please stop it! Punishing the amnesia person is already so wrong yet he was Shin-Ae 's savior before. What wrong with you, writer? Have you been thru it or you have an evil minds to do it? It's already 21 century, this kind of mindsets no longer available among young generations, please don't teach back the phenomenon.

Yes, money can drives people crazy but keep repeating attack on 1 particular person who had been her savior is too much. This is the only drama I can't tolerate. Usually, other dramas are related to the people whose had been ill-treated by them and take revenges on them but this drama is consistent telling us, how smart this uneducated evil women used their lies and frauds without fail to Mi-poong's family including kind grandpa?

I don't wish they extend any more episodes. If the writer has nothing nice to write, just end it!!!

The mere fact that there were so many signs pointing to one person who knew details of their escape did not even ring a bell with the main character (lawyer) who is supposed to be so smart. Instead of extending the drama and depicting the stupidity of the plot, they should just have smartly wrote it at least to give credence to the main characters. I thought this drama had so much potential and now we have to wait till almost the very end to finally see that Mi Poong gets her due recognition which has been so long in coming.

How can anyone that has immigrated from NKorea have such a trusting viewpoint of their obvious enemy [the person that stole all their money and left them to die]. MiPoong and her mom are now in the same zone as their father who initially showed signs of regaining some sanity but has now become -- oops - dumber. He is now protecting the person he clearly did not view as his real daughter (why the script change). I am tired of walking down streets looking for dumplings :) -- this show started out with so much potential and the director and producers had actors and actresses that could make it a great drama. Instead the writing and acting has gone down to zero - lackluster and unrealistic. When MP fell on her knees to beg , when the mom apologized, when the father protected Shin Ae, when the mother-in-law went to a fortune teller I almost bust a gasket fuming at the stupidity of these scenes. If a dog keeps bringing bones to your door you would have to ask -- where are you getting those bones of information? If your husband's a lawyer wouldn't you reveal more information about the origin of the relationship you had with your arch enemy? I am going to just stop watching until the entire 53 ep are finished -- then marathon the unraveling of this obvious ending. Writers need to respect the viewers and stop dragging these boring and stupid scenes and lines out --- a waste of everyone's drama viewing time. grow up and write mature dramas -- these dramas are bordering on cartoons sometimes.

Star Wars Fan Jan 30 2017 2:33 am When Ma Chung-Ja found out that Shin-Ae was a fake, she should have not let Shin-Ae know. She should have kept it to herself, and thought about the best way to handle it. She thought all along that she was a fake, but for money, she is willing to do whatever.

I find it interesting that the massage company owner likes Geum-Sil. He doesn't even know her real personality, but he does have money. Geum- Sil and Nam-Yi are similar in their personalities. The only normal elder in the house is the grandmother.

I was surprised that Joo Young-Ae, Mi-Poong's mother would invite that woman and Shin-Ae's little girl to stay with her. Young-Ae and Mi-Poong have sustained a lot of unnecessary verbal abuse from Geum-Sil. If it was me, I would not want to add more fuel to the fire.

It is tiring and boring --- then when the evil people get caught and the people who were getting hurt by all this, we get to see 1 minute of their happiness and the show ends. They need to cut some of these goofy stupid scenes.

While Hwang Geum-Sil calls Mi-Poong greedy, SHE has been the GREEDY one all along. She is a jerk of a mother to say the least.

Well acted and a good script, but do we really have to endure almost half the series of ShinAe and her wacked out mother-in-law continuing to frame and attack MiPoong and her family? Also hope that JangGo's mother doesn't get let off the hook either, she's been nothing but a greedy self-absorbed witch the entire series.

My Kdrama Oct 01 2016 12:32 pm So far, I found this drama is so interesting along with its storylines and characters. This good drama shouldn't under-rated and only Korean do know the best. Most international viewers only judged the drama on mainly their favourite idols or the popularity of the actors. Sometimes good storylines make the random actors overnight famous and I really wish this drama should be noticed and give a lot of thoughts and comments of it. I feel this drama is a kind of rare type, same as the title "Blow Breeze or Fresh Air" especially touched on the issues of North Korean running to South Korea to start their new lifes and sad that many untold stories behind the curtain world. I love it because of the good storylines of another family drama which no touch on politics, revenges and clichés.

I've seen him in various shows like 3 Meals A Day, Running Man, House Cook Master Baek although he has to leave the show because of overlapping schedules and all his dramas .. etc ... where I see his shy type, very respectful, down to earth looks and a very nice looking boy aura. I will support this drama all the way plus an array of Korean most brilliant stars in the business was casted. Ho Joon ... fighting!
