Set within a hospital. A vampire works as a doctor. A battle between good and evil as well as immortal love takes place.

Notes

Takes over the KBS2 Mon & Tue 21:55 time slot previously occupied by "Healer" and followed by "Who Are You: School 2015" April, 2015.
Director Ki Min-Soo and screenwriter Park Jae-Bum previously worked together on 2013 KBS2 drama series "Good Doctor."
Actors Jung Il-Woo & Yoo Yeon-Seok were both offered the lead male role, but turned down the offer due to scheduling. Jung Il-Woo had oversea promotion obligations for MBC drama "Diary Of A Night Watchman" and Yoo Yeon-Seok had movie filming obligations.
First script reading took place December 4, 2014 at KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. During the script reading, the performers rehearsed lines from ep.1-3.

Kim Lip (100% real) Jan 27 2023 10:40 am the show was mid ngl ? i remember watching it back when it was still premiering and i lowkey liked it but now I think the storyline is kinda messy... 20 episodes were a LOT of episodes and I felt like it was dragged... the ending sucked too like what happened to the research? Did Jisang really get d worded? What happened to Taemin? the actors had a GREAT chemistry tho but 20 episodes for a mid asf show? Nah it would've been better if there were 12 episodes... I would rate it a 6/10

I never watched anything with her before, but in Blood she is so bad. The plot makes no sence, and characters are not developed at all. I wouldn't recommend this drama.

Not right away though but only after the realisation that her acting isn't better than her acting in Black. She's may be pretty but she isn't good in acting. I watched Black and as the story progressed, the more that I got irritated of her character. It was like she was becoming dumb and dumber. I just decided to finish it firstly, because of Song Seung Heon and also because I was already in the middle of the drama when my irritation on the lead actress' character started to develop.

Terry Aug 03 2019 7:59 pm I don't understand what everyone was harping about the mountains for, it was literally 10 minutes of the whole series. Why would this be the reason no one understood the show? Not only that but the fact that they talked about going since Episode 15. But anyways. I almost didn't finish the series because the first episode was so cheesy and badly done. But I am glad I stuck it out because it improved from then on. I liked almost all the characters but I never liked the main female lead and didn't like her in anything else she played in. She tries to hard and it comes off as rigid. But loved everyone else in it. The only issue was that it got sort of slow half way through like they were stretching it to 20 episodes. It would have probably been fine at 16. 7.5 / 10.

After reading some comments I think I understood parts of the ending.

Doctor / Director dies as an old man because Cheif's most decomposed blood is injected, not the killing serum. This cures the vampireism and makes him age naturally.

As for why Cheif lives, I think it lies in the blood as well. When it decomposed it cured him, meaning that it is possible that by dying he was cured and is now carrying the cure with him. He can live without a heart - he can live without a pulse (basicly a zombie). Also in my opinion he seems older, as if he has started aging appropriately.

Then why is he able to fight with the vampires in the end? Let me quote an earlier episode "I didn't need to use my power to beat them" implying that he is actually a good fighter and doesn't need to be a vampire to fight other vampires.

Still a nonsensical ending to a show that lost its drive in episode 5. There were so many lost opportunitues and loose ends, but worst of all were the change in character for all of them. It was like they changed the whole plot suddenly, for no reason. It is a good show, don't get me wrong, but it's not something I'll rewatch in the near future.

amanda Aug 18 2018 12:12 am Unusual medical drama. A vampire behind a doctor's robe, the idea is brilliant even though it is ultimately inconclusive to be unsatisfactory. Their chemistry is enough, ahn jae hyeong is good enough for the first appearance to lead the role, Ku hye sun is still awkward - quite bored saying even though this role is suitable because of pale white skin. Need more attention to acting before he sits in the director's chair. Ku hye sun may still be innocent, need a lot of experience to be able to convince.

1. How can park ji sang still alive? 2. What The Hell happen to the serum, does it work and the patients get cured or what? 3. Why oh why does everybody has to get killed. Maybe the writer felt bored and decided to just kill everyone to get a climax ending. lol no.

4. why does the evil chief became old then die? Like there's no reason whatsoever why and how he can become old like that.

review. 1. ku hye sun's act was toooo fake. I mean, she used to be so lovable in bof, but why does she become sooo annoying here. don't tell be it's the character, cause she was stiff from start to end. Not much facial expression changes. While ahn jae hyeong was soo good, she doesn't seem to be able to catch up. I was hoping for some intense chemistry since they met here then got together, then got married. But what? I can't find the chemistry that I hoped for. Seriously Stiff.

2. The storyline is soooo draggyyyy and there are some reason. When the evil chief has failed and decided to just release the infectee and force par ji sang to come up with the serum that he failed to develop. THAT'S the moment they should've killed him. He's useless anywaay, right???? I almost feel like watching a soap opera, there's no episode that make me curious to see the next one, cause the story is just so so

3. The ending is sooo weird and doesn't make sence. And dear writer and producer I know you were rushing towards the end cause there's literally no progress of medicine whatsoever until the 19th episode. Then from 20th you just started to make how it would end and just killed of everyone okay thankyou.

I will. never. watch. this . drama . again.

un explainable ending, the death of the favourite character, draggy, no chemistry.

watch healer, city hunter, brilliant legacy, learn at least how to build someone's relationship and chemistry and how to keep the stroyline make sence and strong. sayonara

But there's only one thing bothering me(spoiler alert), why are Ri-Ta and Ji-Sang allowed to have a reunion and survive all the crap, but not Joo Hyun-Woo??? He was my favorite and you just had to kill him of. T-T Non the less this series is absolutely incredible. Would recommend 100%.

If not for him, i don't want to continue watching. There are too many flashbacks too. Well, it's the korean drama works all the time. It isn't something you can't wait for the next episode. It's a so-so drama i guess. Descendants of the Sun, Healer and City Hunter are the best so far for me.

Luna Jul 31 2016 2:27 pm I personally very entertained by this drama. The plot was good and Ahn Jae Hyun played it well (since I believe vampire role itself supposed to be that stuffy). The storyline was very nice, I mean... It's hard for me to really like a drama but this one is good I can tell. I feel like the competition between the good role and villain are equally strong. It even hit me very hard when Hyun Woo died I literally cried. However, I agree with those who complain about the ending. There are several things that make it hard for me (well..impossible) to understand the ending no matter how long I sit and think. 1. Why tf Dr. Lee aged and died at his house. He was injected and should've died on that place like everyone else. 2. Ji Sang was so awesome that he made it to the sun rise after stabbed with the same thing that killed other people within minutes. 3. They didn't tell us what happened to the VTB-17 meanwhile Ji Sang said that he died for Hyun Woo so that his invention wouldn't go in waste. I mean.. the project failed and everyone infected in the hospital were died or it succeeded and those infected became human again? 4. Rita suddenly went to Kochenia and was targeted by vampires. Ok still so many vampire alive and they must target Rita lol. But wait, Ji sung saved her? was it her imagination? or Ji sang is alive? or it was something in between? I give up.

But I recommend this drama to kill time. Worth watching anyway, except the ending.

Angeleina Jul 24 2016 8:53 pm The drama has a good ground, but it was dragging after a while. What makes me frustrated the most would be goo hye sun. Her acting is too stiff for a female lead, not much facial expression going on, all I could see is her glare whether she's angry, frustrated, guilty, etc; especially in the beginning of seven episodes that it's become tiring. I do not watch BoF so I'm not sure whether her acting is always like this. I was forcing myself to watch it till the end cause it gets too boring. Good villain btw. Ji jin hee plays his character well that i'm willing to continue watching. Jung hae in is another actor worth mentioning

But I started to watch it two days ago because I was bored of romantic stories and drama. I watched it in 3 days and I say it was really nice. I offer you to watch it. It's really different from others. At first you may feel a little difference between this and other dramas but you will love it for sure. A different story of vampires, nice characters, nice story. I like it all. I cried a lot at last two episodes but still like it. You should watch it for sure

I do wish someone could answer these questions for me. 1/ Are all Korean shows meant to be like this ? I've watched 3 episodes , a total of 3 hours , and in reality any decent writer/producer could have shown all of that in just 15 minutes. Are all korean shows made like this on purpose , to make them longer ? 2/ Is it necessary to have the "bad guy" as the "head of an organisation" , and have hium drinking wine with a stupid look on his face , that makes you think that he is getting his dick sucked by a ladyboy ? 3/ Can anybody name a show with more "cliches" than this one ?? (lol) im totally crying for the last 2 eps. everyones dying one by one TT although there was not enough love scenes for the two leads. they totally pulled it off. those lines cringed my fingers out. >< they are totally a legit vampire couple! kudos to this drama , this plot was terrific to begin with..!!! i am into vampires and surgeries now.. this probably is one of the reasons y iwanna work in a hospital.. miraculously i will meet someone like jisang :))

He has a very lame and weak acting, I wish there could have been choices for the lead, as per trivia he was the 3rd choice.. The character wasn't delivered properly, no doubt it has a low rating... I think he is not capable yet to be in a lead role... Maybe yet, start on a High School Drama but not this kind of intense drama yet.... I just hate watching this drama because of him...

Then the rest of the cast were good especially the villain Ji Jin Hee... I feel bad for him that he has to act along with this newbie actor....

Oh well, agree for a 2nd season with a more justified casting please...

If you heard what doctor jung said, doctor park may still live without a heart because of the unique ability of his blood. And thats the reason why he gave doctor park a stake. So that director will have something to use to kill doctor park. They know there's no guarantee that park will live after that but atleast they tried. And maybe thats the reason why doctor park is still alive in the end.

but otherwise, the concept is great, suspense is awesome. i believe most things were explained, but the ending still confuses me although it's somewhat refutable (just the antagonist though. it confuses me whether he dies or not).

i'd recommend watching this. it's intriguing and suspenseful. the cast is pretty good too i believe (with the exception of goo hyesun, i'm sorry). the writers are pretty elaborate with the concept as well.

[spoiler!!] hyunwoo's death was the saddest thing ever. istg. i tried not to get attached to him from the start but. why.

(I hate MLG's last episode that didn't make any sense). I enjoyed watching Blood and every episode was amazing! BUT WHY. WOULD. MY. FAVORITE.CHARACTERS.DIE. Was that necessary? And what's with that hi-surprise-i'm-alive thing (like in City Hunter or Doctor Stranger)... I hate open endings like this... To other ppl: they won't make a season 2, did they ever? Well, maybe with IRIS, but IRIS 2 also had an open ending.

I cried at the ending but it's better for me to leave drama like this than making viewers confused what happened in the meantime... if a character dies, close the story goddammit, why didn't Hyunwoo come to life? And why did other vampires die in like 3 minutes when JiSang survived idk like half a day? I watched too many dramas and this pattern repeats every time.... there are only a few with good ending that makes you feel the time was worth it... nonetheless I liked the drama...

For a fictional supernatural drama with an overrated vampire-human love story, it did good. The romance, comedy, thrill, mystery are mixed in the right amount. Not too cheesy, not at all weird, just right. The staff did a good job incorporating a vampire touch to the medical field. Maybe one of the reasons people were bored watching is because of the focus in research aspect, and that's understandable since not many people are into research. But personally i was hooked in that pat, maybe because I remembered my thesis days in medschool. The research was interesting with all the medical terms.

I admit that ku hyesun and ahn jaehyun are not the best actor for vampire and doctor roles, but they actually did just fine. Though i have to admit that there are scenes with awkward acting from ahn jaehyun (he always gives that "model aura" whatever the scene is may it be bloody, romance, surgery, action haha). But the chemitsry between them is very pleasant to the eyes :) and i totally love the supporting actors for joo hyunwoo, nam chulhoon, min gayeon, jung jitae, and choi sooeun! It will be way better if romance between them were given more opportunity! :">

As for the season 2, maybe there's a need, since there are questions unaswered. Especially the ending. I'm not really good in reading between the lines, so definite answers are better, but i think not as long as 20 epsiodes are needed. Generally, kdramas with 20eps tend to be boring as they near the end, but this was not boring at all.

I almost did not watch this due to the negative comments i read beforehand. But i am really satisfied that I still gave it a shot! Worth my time definitely. This is DEFINITELY FAR from being the worst kdrama ever. It may not be the best kdrama out there, but DEFINITELY NOT THE WORST (for someone nonkorean who has been watching kdramas for more than 10years now). I recommend this drama to fans who are fond of medical, romance, comedy, thrill, mystery, all with a touch of vampire! If you are into the cheesy romantic dramas, there's a chance you'll be bored. But still worth a try for something new :)

What happened to the assistant director? Not only that, the ending opened up a whole other story. How is he alive? What happened in that time span up until Kochenia? Why were there infectees in Kochenia in the first place? Very disappointed with the ending. If there isn't a second season to clear all that up, then this drama would've been a waste of my time because of the ending. But despite the ending, this drama was enjoyable and did keep me emtertained. Probably a 3 out 5.

There were several things left open. First what happened to the other doctors? Like Edward?? They just disappeared. What happened? Why did they killed the Dr. HyeRi? Did I missed something? Did they found a cure or not? Where the patients saved or not? And If L and Chun Hoon killed JiSang father wasn't it better if he was the one who would avenge them? Any way I'm hoping to see more dramas of JaeHyeon, HaeIn, JiHoon and HyunSang.

His character and for that reason everytime I think about the drama I get sad and not happy! So to me that made it a bad drama! Everything was good until Woo oppa had to end up like that! I mean, one sides wants to cure everything, the virus does that, so they are looking for a way to cure without changing. then the other side just wants to stop the spread of the virus.

so WTF is there problem at the end with one another. You can just give the FULL virus to a patient, wait for them to fully change and heal what ever issue they had, then just make them human again. Quick, clean, easy, everyone wins.

The story has waaaayyyyy to many issues.

Before, mondays for me, is just a normal day but because of this drama, it is one of the reason why every monday and tuesday, I'm excited to go home early and surfing the net..then i always end up smiling after watching this.. I really miss them both together (Ji sang and Ri ta). I'm still hoping for season 2. :))))

I respect him and in someday I wish to follow him in his work. The story line is extremely good and the acting of the characters, although at the onset can not be considered enjoyable to watch but as the story progressed I personally believe that there are more pros than cons in their acting skills. Let me segue, ji Jin-hee consistently displayed excellent thespian ability through out the twenty (20) episodes. His sweet face truly masked his devious intentions. It will not come as a surprise if he will be nominated for acting awards and win.

I am wondering why some kept on bashing the two (2) main characters, but of course they are entitled to own opinions. The acting of Dr. Ji Sang got better as each episode rolled. Viewers should never expect the facial expressions of a western actor vampire to be like that of a Korean actor vampire. First of all most Caucasians have bigger eyes compared to the Korean. However, Ahn Jae - Hyeon's acting can be well -appreciated because his under acting defined more depth, strength and intensity.(BTW: I am not a Korean). He played the role of a KOREAN vampire and not an American/European vampire. Koreans should recognize the full worth of that.

Ku hye-sun's way of tilting her head while side glancing sort of invited annoyance. But watching her, episodes after episodes made me got used to it . Perhaps, it's her way of tacitly claiming ownership of the hospital..

Parting words, kudos to the acting abilities of the minor characters like Jung hae-in, Kim kap-soo and Jin Kyung, Kwon Hyun - Sang and Son Soo hyun, Kim yu-seok and Jung Hyeon's Seong

Blue May 05 2015 9:30 am Loved this drama especially Ahn Jae Hyun. He is cool in this drama especially the relationship between him and Koo Hye Sun towards ending part as chemistry was getting stronger although was irritated by koo hye sun way of portraying the role of rita at the beginning.

Hope that there will be a 2nd session of this drama. Like gayeon too and hope that she will come to life also should there a 2nd session.

Maybe Ahn Jae Hyun is not ready yet to be a lead actor coz I liked him A LOT in My Love From The Star and You're All Surrounded. I'm also not hating on Goo Hye Sun but for someone who debuted a long time ago, her acting isn't improving, even in some scenes I felt like I was watching a female version of Joo Joong Won (So Ji Sub - Master's Sun), the way she waved her hand, the way she talked, and all. And another thing that bothered me was her make-up. Come on, she's cute and pretty already that she doesn't need too much make-up! Her make-up was so heavy in this drama, as a result she looked more vampire than anyone else.

Nita shindou May 03 2015 10:08 pm For those who confused about the ending scene, here is my comprehension about the ending. In the 2 or 3 last episodes, dr. Jung said to dr. Choi that Park Ji Sang's blood was very unique. The blood did activate his heart, not the other way. So, Ji Sang might be alive even without his heart. That may explains that he couldn't die and his appearance in Kochenia to save Ri Ta. And why did they show us the good bye scene on the roof top? because they didn't know that Ji Sang couldn't die. dr. Jung didn't tell them yet. Also, Hyunwoo discovered that the infected body (especially Ji Sang, because of his blood) must be dying to produce the substance that strengthen the capsule in his blood to make the antivirus. So, when Ji Sang was dying after his heart stabbed, he asked dr.Jung to do the culturing. It's supposed to explain how ward 21A will be handled.

slee May 03 2015 6:03 am Not bad at all. Entertaining enough with some interesting parts. The lead actors appeared a bit awkward with each other but I think it got better in later episodes. Acting is not easy and the leads worked hard to improve theirs as the story progressed. Perhaps it takes more than just perfecting a few expressions and incorporating them in the scenes. But I did enjoy everyone else's acting tremendously.

cotton May 01 2015 10:42 am I get people's problem with Ku Hye-Sun's acting. It was a bit weird at the beginning. I didn't buy her bratty personality. Her character grew as the drama progressed so she began to be comfortable with it. Her chemistry with Ahn Jae-Hyeon was also very weak at first. But by the the 15th episode, i thought "ok, this could work" :)

As for the drama itself, I get it. I mean the story, how it progressed, how everyone developed and grew. I had headaches with all the medical terms! I had to keep up real hard. HAHA This maybe the most medical-ish Korean Drama I have ever seen! :)

But yeah, the ending sucks. They could have just left Ahn Jae-Hyeon's character to die. It would have made more sense. Not unless they're trying to cash-in on another season... Even still, it sucked. Even with multiple seasons, the first season should stand for itself.

Very brilliant director and writer it made your heartbeat faster than normal and it tends your breathing to stop so you can focus very well. I feel bad for Joo Hyun Woo,such a hero in this drama. The explanation of Park Jisang's being alive in the end was in The scene where Dr. Jung was explaining what will happen when the virus is cultured in the body of Jisang. If you go to Soompi Blood thread, you will understand the ending better. For those people who said that the milky couple had no chemistry, you must either have a stone heart or just plainly dumb as a rock!

In response to why Lee Jae Wook has grey hair: That would probably meant they have in fact successfully cultivated the antibiotic for the virus. Jae Wook probably turned human, so that explains his grey hair as he has lived on Earth for literally a decade.

So there's two theories:

1 Ji Sung turned human.
2 Ji Sung blood was strong enough to fight all off the capsule as Dr Jung said that Ji Sang could probably survive without a heart since it's his blood which actually makes his heart beat? The weapon which the Director stabbed Ji Sang with was aimed at his heart, so maybe Ji Sang was able to survive it. (Got this part from another netizen)

This is just one of the few theories i have concluded, you guys may add on!

As an actress, I feel that she failed to bring out her character since she carried the same ambience as the role she was assigned to in her previous drama 'Angel Eyes.' As for the ending

(SPOILERS ALERT),

it was highly disappointing. Especially since many of the characters that everyone loved was killed off. It would have been nicer to see more of the potential lovelines on the sidelines and their interactions, e.g. Joo Hyun-Woo and Choi Soo-Eun or Nam Chul-Hoon and Min Ga-Yeon (just cause I wish they had something more than sibling love).

With that said, since the drama ended on such a confusing and mysterious note, a Season 2 might occur, but if does, the whole cast better be improved and different from Season 1.

To me, since it's a drama, we are watching for the entertainment of it, the ending should be much clearer so the audience does not have to assume what happen . There are so many things left unanswered. Just like how I loved City Hunter but not satisfied with the ending. Blood is the same way. While Healer has a clearer ending which I like.. The writers in the dramas need to have a concrete ending so we don't have to guess or assume anything.

A completely senseless development in a superior drama that has gained a steady stream of international fans since it's beginning. A hint to the writers: If your audience is made up of largely western or westernized viewers, note that we generally prefer a happy ending. :(

On a happier note: Thank you for casting Goo Hye Sun in this drama! She is the best, and most beautiful actress in Korea. Please make better use of her gorgeous figure and put her in a wardrobe that will show off more of what nature has done for her. It certainly won't hurt the ratings any... :)

Miaa Apr 10 2015 6:03 pm Great drama, I really enjoy watching it and Im curious to know the end asap, but theres two things about this drama that I dislike, I think Jae Hyeon is no fit for this role, maybe because he hasn't acted much but this role doesnt fit him at all. The second thing I disliked about this drama is when the infected "transform", I really hate it when their eyes turn green and their veins starts showing and stuff, I think its kinda exaggerated, they could have worked on this more in my opinion. But well I can handle than much of imperfections since the rest of the cast is just amazing and the story is interesting. I know many of you wont agree with the fact that Jae Hyeon wasnt the right actor for this lead role but you know, its my own perception of things so.

I love the piano instrumental at the ending too, and all the other instrumentals played in the background. Most commonly, they are included in the full album OST which will be released right after each drama airs its final ep. I am patiently waiting here too, though I don't want the drama to end yet XD

Been watching the previous episode while waiting for the next episode for the nth time already.. Ahn Jae-Hyeon is the most suitable for the role indeed.. Ku Hye-Sun deed a different acting in this drama compare to her previous role, but she is NOT worst or bad here like what others say.. My soul was totally captured by this drama.. hope to see more of Ahn Jae-Hyeon in the future as a male lead also.. :) Blood fighting!.. ^_^

I've been with this drama since Episode 1 aired and it's great to see the actors and actresses get better and better with more and more chemistry every time a new episode is released. The plot is getting super intense and the acting is great, as opposed to all those haters out there who judged just because of the first two episodes. I recommend this to anyone who loves comedy, romance, action, fantasy, and definitely anyone who is in love with Android robots LOL because this drama has an amazing funny one XD. Jisang (Jaehyun)'s dongsaeng/right hand man is the cutest guy ever as well (Hyunwoo!!). You'll love this drama after the first 1 or 2 episodes :) don't give up just because you don't like the beginning!

anyone Apr 07 2015 2:53 pm @mei romantic comedy drama? pliz.. i don't think this is a romantic comedy drama.. it was a Medical, fantasy, romance drama.. not even a comedy.. yeah it does use vampire concept like vampire prosecution but the genre is different.. vampire prosecution use genre Fantasy, mystery, investigation.. it not the same... n the romance not intense at all.. to reveal the love it took 16 ep dear.. where is intense part... n from the start it is saying that it gonna have romance part.. if u dun want to watch that then don't even start to watch...ah 1 more thing, park jisang never let the director use human as a specimen. it is not like director ask any permission from jisang to do that research, it all by himself...jisang never agree with n is trying to find way to stop all the shit that the director make. are u not watching the drama btw?

Most of suspence drama at OCN have a less romance but they are still good drama. Vampire prosecutor even does not have a single kiss from both female n male lead but Vampire prosecutor is more entertaining than mostly drama in early 2015. Romance should happen when the story make sense. Me myself waiting for the final battle from director n park jisang. Isnt it a good time to start the war. Reveal it or not par jisang shouldnt let the director use human as a specimen.

Sometimes it's quite boring so I skip lots of scenes:) But it's not like I would describe it at worse or a flop. The acting isnt that bad. But really often it seems quite cold and unemotional. The main plot is also okay. At the end no one miss something if they didnt watch it.

Lorena Apr 06 2015 6:21 am Hey to Elizabeth Cody, I honestly recommend you to see it, being honest, I am not into this kind of stories and I started watching and the I like the story, the drama etc. If you're one of those that actually are into vampire stories don't expect a twilight story, this story kinda break "vampires rules" and you gotta think about it as a virus instead of just a vampire story, that way you'll be open to receive what the story is telling you.

It isn't bad I find it really cute, but its already episode 14 and to me it feels like it won't be till like forever when they actually decide to take it a step further, I always enjoy at least some romantic moments between the main characters at least for one episode when they are officially a couple. But that's just me craving for some affection between these two characters, but other than that I have no complaints, its a REALLY good drama :)

However, the scene at the hospital show that she managed to tied her hair, wore lipstick and even the doctor's uniform. It did not make sense at all how someone in misery could dressed-up so well. I love and following this drama. However, I think the director should pay attention to the setting of the scene. That is my only criticisme.

It's gotten good though.( It started off with lots of exposition -- lots of which at the time seemed distracting, boring, or meaningless, but now more and more of that stuff gives depth to what is airing now.) It's a vampire story with a scientific etiology, multiple medical angles, lots of suspense, and explorations of various aspects of medical ethics. NOTE: Blood is a drama, NOT, I repeat NOT, a rom-com, or gothic romance. (The poster is really misleading.) It does have some cute moments, but the focus is the main suspense/medical storyline. It's nothing even remotely like Bram Stoker's Dracula, or Twilight, so folks that steered clear of it because of they disliked those vampire connections might want to rethink.

The scene they talk about the past was heart touching and ri ta's expression while holding in to ji sang's face was incredible . I think this scene answers itself to those who blame this drama and ku hye sun's acting. The healer drama which was telecasted before this drama was also a deback for sure . the romantic scene which was there in ep 15 was incredible and unforgettable. I think the whole fan society is anticipating a better scene than that in thisloving drama too. The plot in the drama helps to arise such a scene a lot. i really want to see their first k..... i think it is also the same with all other blood fania also. for those who blame this drama, i dont know the reason for their regecting and i invite them to hang on a little bit and see the loving consept hidden in the drama without being so picky. For me simply it is such lovely story along with good actors. It is lot more better than usual plots of the dramas where only the face of actors change. However TEAM BLOOD my both thumbs up for this loving incredible effort.FIGHTINH TILL THE END!!!!!! Aja!!!!!

AJH as a first time lead is doing a good work. He is not the best but he surely is elective as a silent and brooding Vampire and has good screen presence.

The drama is GOOD. I wonder hwo it is rating in S. KOrea right now.

I am so addicted to the drama that I watch it RAW. I watch it with English subs again later when I need to. Watching Korean dramas over the year, I can understand the language a bit now so I kind of know what the actors are saying and it is the only K-drama where I could understand or guess the dialogues and the scene 80% right!

The drama is worth watching!

"Did they even try to find people who can act for this drama", first of all, the cast is packed with amazing actors! Let's start with Ji Jin Hee (the villain of this drama),who has over 10 years of acting experience. He's been in dramas like Jewel In The Palace (btw the first ever Kdrama I've watched), and he played as an emperor on Dong Yi which is one of the best historical dramas out there! As for the other two main cast Gu Hye sun, played Guem Jandi on boys over flowers which became an instant classic. I'm didn't judge her acting ability based on just that, she's been in many other dramas that have proved her acting capability like The musical,Take care of us captain and most recently Angel eyes! I agree she has changed her acting method like the tone of her voice and aura but I actually applaud her for that because when I see her now I'm not reminded of her previous characters, I'm more focused on Ri ta cuz that's who she is now! That's actually the one problem other actors have, they always seem like the same person even on other dramas which isn't refreshing to see! As for our leading man Ahn Jae hyun, I think he's really good looking and he played his supporting roles well on You who came for the star and You're all surrounded, but no matter how many times I try to ignore it, he does need some work on his acting! I think he would've played any other leading role better but this vampire character needs more intensity and maybe it was too soon for him. Even so, it's not as bad as people make it to be.

So people need to chill and give the actors and writers a break because it's not even half bad. And if it doesn't go well with your taste, there's always the EXIT!!!!

We are now at the point where the two leads are beginning to fall for each other and the sparks are beginning to fly. Park Ji-sang and Yoo Ri-ta will have to team up to do battle with the older characters out to destroy them. I think that it's not her acting but a hidden agenda. I personally think that if GHS was doing a children's show - they will still find a way to criticize her . PD nim is not that wrong to put Ahn Jae Hyun as long as they choose better actrees as a female lead (who can act rudeness thing, talk active and smart as RiTa's character) theres so many actrees that suit with Ri Ta. e.g Han Hyo joo. in This case instead pairing lead male and female, I ship the second female, Son soo hyun with Jaehyun!

There is, like, no excuse for Ri Ta snooping around Doctor Park Ji Sang.. curiosity and chemistry between lead actors just off.. Sometimes we can hear a background like comedy sound, but they dont even crack a smile at all like they dont even know how to...It's just soooooo awkward, literally, and I'm not even saying cute-awkward here.. No offense, though..

Pity, but honestly, I'm not really a fan of fantasy even more vampire, but I'm okay with this plot coz they make it so scientific.

I know a lo of people have been bashing this drama but I don't see anything wrong and Im really picky with my dramas. I don't LOVE it but its good. I don't think you can truly judge a drama until at least 5 episodes in. I remember thinking I wasn't going to like Kill Me, Heal Me and Im IN LOVE with it. I gave it a chance since the first two episodes were a bit off... But I fell hard for every character and Im thankful I didn't give up on it. Now I hooked LOL!! Fighting BLOOD team! You guys are doing a great job!!

Her acting is very adorable and refreshing :D It's good to see that after a melodramatic acting from Angel Eyes, she jumped off to being an arrogant but cute Yoo RiTa that's entirely opposite to Yoon SooWan. I always smile and laugh when she acts irritated and annoyed. I think GHS and AJH make up a cute couple (When I saw the preview for ep3) ^___^ I'm anticipating the drama now! If my guesses are correct, except the lead being vampire, there is nothing which looks similar to twilight. In twilight, the lead is not a doctor. Its his dad who is a doctor. But here both the leads are doctors and it comes with concept of vampire virus here..It doesnt look like twilight in my eyes..I sincerely wish this drama and the cast for huge success

It's just why is Korea trying to copy Vampires from Twilight? (really, the dead deer?) Please make it interesting, have the vampires not be freaking pansies and "sparkle" bullshit. If it wasn't for the main lead actor, I wouldn't have considered watching this drama. But who knows? Maybe it'll be great like other Korean dramas this year, but I just think this will bomb. I never really like Vampire Prosecuter either which was a another korean vampire drama. However, I will see how this goes. It's just I wish it won't rip off too much stuff from Twilight and just have a unique storyline.

Shawn Dec 16 2014 2:49 pm I like everything Ahn Jae Hyeon has been in, that I have seen so far. So I look forward to seeing him to do well in this! Ever since Vampire Prosecutor ended, I have been waiting for another show in this genre. Though this would be a departure from any of his other roles, so I hope that he can pull it off. I wish him well in this and all his future projects! Also, everyone has to start somewhere, so they all deserve a chance.

I'm not too familiar with Ku Hye-Sun, other than her role as Geum Jan-Di. Which i found to be an annoying character.

He will give all his best in this drama... U guys should give other people chances to try and support them... If not, there will not be another new actor/actress in the future...
