Story is set around Method Entertainment, which is a major management company, and depicts their work lives, personal lives, and desires.

Ma Tae-Oh (Lee Seo-Jin) works as a professional manager and holds the position of general director at Method Entertainment. He is smart and gentle, but he was born to be a strategist and he doesn’t mind using all sorts of tricks to achieve what he wants.

Chun Jane (Kwak Sun-Young) has worked as a manager for 14 years. She started as an on-site manager and she now works as a leader of a manager team. She is competitive and a workaholic. She is hot-tempered and when she sets a goal, she will try to achieve it without careful thinking. She and Ma Tae-Oh have many disagreements along the way.

Kim Jung-Don (Seo Hyun-Woo) is Chun Jane’s best friend at work and he holds the same position as a leader of a manager team. He is a gentle person.

So Hyun-Joo (Joo Hyun-Young) is a rookie manager and often makes trouble at work. She grows as a professional manager through her experience.

Suzanne Jan 31 2023 4:54 pm I don’t believe that a celebrity’s time in the spotlight being past, Especially when they’re only doing a cameo! Young people need to broaden their perspectives & stop depending on young, beautiful & perfect specimens to be entertained. There’s so much more to life. Every actor did an excellent job. I’m only on episode 8, but not thrilled with what I’m hearing about the ending. I would be surprised if the majority of drama viewers tune in for the purpose of continuous drama, misunderstandings, chaos & disappointments. Crash Landing On You delivered an uplifting story & we all hated for it to end.

Anon Jan 25 2023 1:18 pm Just watch until ep 2. The style really looks like the drama pegasus market. Maybe because it was directed by the same director.

It looks like a sitcom instead of a drama.

It also looks kind of messy.

To compare this with Shooting Star which with the same theme, Shooting Star really looks cleaner and the teams there have teamwork. But here just looks all over the place. I also dislike Shooting Star. But I guess I will dislike this more haha because the sitcom style.

Will stop this first then will try it out other time.

- - Spoiler ahead - caution, don’t read if you don’t want to be spoiled

I loved the show don’t get me wrong. There are parts that I am irritated, esp when Jane was pursuing Sang-uk the first time, I felt like they were trying to make the story to Westernized that I felt Sang-uk was being harassed by Jane. But when the true love blossomed, I super loved their story! I know Jane felt nervous and suffocated when the relationship started to get so serious so she tried to avoid the inevitable and in the processed lose Sang-uk. When Jane pursued Sang-uk the 2nd time, I really loved it as well - this you can see that she has truly loved him and that she really wanted to push to a serious relationship. My issue is, why do they even have to put that triangle with Hae-jun? That’s not needed and I don’t feel anything between then other than irritation! (yeah I know, because they were following the original French series - although I don’t really know if that’s the story there). And the worst is that hateful last minutes of the last episode, every story was left hanging! Jane and Sang-uk’s story looked like will end up in the trash bin again as Jane will once again follow career over her life and love - and the there’s probably a baby that will have a broken life because the mom can’t choose what to prioritize. Then there’s the story of Director Nam and his wife who he just het back with but looked like it will be ruined again - and we don’t really know as it was not shown what she saw on the tablet. Then lastly the Jung-don and Hee-sun story which started really sweet and ended so sourly! I know he should have come clean and explain why he did what he did, but I hate it when they try to prolong confessing and telling what wrong they’ve done since we know that no secret will be left unsaid and it will only result to misunderstanding and regrets - but again the problem with this series is they didn’t let us know! We are left so badly hanging!

They are probably aiming for season 2, but you don’t end a series this badly and expect that the reception for season 2 will be accepted with open arms! I felt like I’ve wasted 12hrs watching this especially in a holiday season!!! I am so mad!

I also love how this drama shows us how hard the people work behind the scenes. Their hard work really helps to make things happen, like Kim A Joong's line in episode 12.

I agree that it ended abruptly and am not really sure why they did it that way. Overall, this drama is refreshing. Love the main leads' acting, especially Kwak Sun Young and Noh Sang Hyun.

kimmy yoo Dec 19 2022 12:49 pm I think it's a drama that made for local taste. In order to understand the plot, you have to recognize those celebrities who made cameo appearance in this drama. You have to know their public image in real life and what works they are doing. So, you can laugh.

The early episodes was confusing. The introduction of Method Entertaiment's worker is not done properly. The plot also seems like a problem that must've attached to the story of those celebrities but it didnt glued well. That's why it's kinda boring.

But i appreciate those characters. The actors have tried their best

Dwed Dec 15 2022 8:10 am the only thing saving this show is Kwak Sun Young, the late addition of Heo Sung Tae and some of the guest cameos (I'm sorry but some of them are stars whose time in the spotlight has passed. and the way the ended it was really poor - I know it's faithfully adhering to the French source material, but considering the lukewarm reception, I doubt it will receive a second season, and thus there are too many unresolved storylines

I will watch a season two, but yeeesh. 1) Writing 10 out of 10 2) Acting, mostly 10 out of 10 3) Pacing of the story rarely falters, the only "filler" was a needless speech in episode 12.

Highly recommend if you want something different

It is difficult to sympathize with the characters who are mostly unlikeable and often unnecessarily animated. The most interesting part of the drama is the relationship between Ma Tae-Oh and So Hyun-Joo. The scenes they share are well written and often tender. As a father with a daughter, I found the the closing scene in episode 10 particularly affecting. Ma Tae-Oh looks back over his shoulder at So Hyun-Joo crying in the next room. He smiles at her, and she feels her father's acceptance and guilt. Touching scene that they nailed perfectly.

While the French series really funny, mature, and comedy.. the Korean one is really touching and beautiful, make me fall in love and laugh in some part.

Fi 13 Nov 08 2022 5:56 am I love Lee so Jin as an actor and really loved French version of call my agent, so was disappointed after first episode that they were just copying the French episodes verbatim. I get that the actors would play same parts as they did in French versions but could they not tweak the storylines. Hard to replicate the humour of French and character like Camille Coton but as it is early days will bear with it.
