Due to a death, a man and a woman become separated forever, but they meet again like magic.

Park Jin-Gyeom (Joo Won) is a detective, who doesn't show emotions. While investigating a mysterious case, he realizes the existence of time travelers. The time travelers come to the present day from the future through a space called Alice. Park Jin-Gyeom struggles to prevent negative things happening through Alice. During this time, he meets Yoon Tae-Yi (Kim Hee-Seon) again. She died in the past. Park Jin-Gyeom insists that their meeting is a fateful reunion. Yoon Tae-Yi is a genius physicist and she holds a key to time travel. While they unravel the secret of time travel together, she realizes a secret behind her.

"Alice" takes over the SBS Fridays & Saturdays 22:00 time slot previously occupied by "Backstreet Rookie" and followed by "Delayed Justice" on October 30, 2020.

Park Min May 23 2023 2:43 pm It's a really sloppy and poorly made sci-fi. The lack of attention to details was embarrassing. The prevalence of heavy-handed stereotyping within the narrative was beyond cringe. It also included the cringest portrayal of a Korean physicists. The was no incest, there was no romance, there was no intimacy. Everyone is blowing it out of proportions. Even then, this was the least of its problems.

jisunslovebomb Apr 16 2023 10:57 am Now you see, the origin idea with his mom getting killed and the organization called Alice was an Amazing idea. But the execution is not it. The show forcing romance between a guy and a girl who looks exactly and detailed like his mom is actually disgusting and weird. The story made zero sense after Episode 5 and the amount of stacked "plot-twisting" villain reveals made my head hurt to the core. After that nothing made sense anymore and it was not worth watching. Dropped it at episode 9. Kim Heeseon does not deserve to play in an awful show like this.

future kdrama star Sep 26 2022 5:33 am wow! stellar cast excellent acting gripping story. Joo Won can play psychopath, lost son, hero and everything. He is amazing actor. Kim Hee Seon is a chameleon. She looks younger playing the younger versions of her character. I enjoyed the story because i like subjects about time and the universe. Alice feels like The Flash, Tenet and Alice in Wonderland but thats not to take away from the great writing. Sorry writer-nim majority of Ep13 was a filler episode. I'm not here for the bad lace front wig they put on the Master lol.

parrallel universes and dimensions are real. science discovered a universe where time is running sideways. its not crazy to imagine there are other versions of us in existence. The new thought movement talks about others versions of us. Law of Attraction, Assumption etc. Its interesting.

Overrall I give this drama 8.5/10 stars. I would watch it again. It made me cry and laugh. Hoping for Season 2 with other versions of Yoo Min-Hyuk, Ki Cheol-Am, Oh Si-Young and Kim Dong-Ho .

Spoilers - I didn't feel the romance between Prof Yoon and Detective Park. The characters long for each other because of their pasts and futures. i felt the writer pushing them closer but romantically? no thats wrong to make mother and son lovers. This is not Freud lol

Quing Sep 07 2022 5:39 pm Having read through the comments. It’s nice to see, a lot of other people felt the same disgust I felt while they try to force a chemistry/romance between a mom’s past self and her future son.

No matter how scientific we tried to look it, your past and your future are not two different people, in terms of personality, people change as they get older, Youthful exuberance and all.

This story doesn’t even line up at all, a lot of loopholes. The past is suppose to determine the future but here, the future determined the past, more like time was going backwards.

P.S, for those saying they are two different people, so Jin gyeom who went back to 2010 when his mum died and his 2010 past self, that he saw are two different people also?? If the story was about doppelgängers, it’s understandable but it’s about time travel, don’t forget that. The name “Park Sun young” was a fake name. His mom was also Yoon tae yi, and according to the researcher, she was also a scientist, that’s why she was helping in the lab before she died and told the researcher to have her younger self continue. So how is the past tae yi and future tae yi two different people???? How??

Even though and i admit sometimes difficult to follow, especially at episode 13 it got a little confusing, i still loved this series!!! It kept me wanting to watch the story till the end! All the comments about incest and other crap, please, you should and try to understand the story! There is nothing like this AT ALL! Different time-zones, people may look the same but are NOT the same with different personalities etc.. Those giving this negativity, i recommend to watch it again! What great performances of all the cast but my fav actor Joo Won, wow, what acting skills he has. Whatever he touches, never disappointed. I really LOVE him!! Also Kwak Si Jang, an amazing actor!! Loved his performance. Kim Hee Seon, so pretty and beautiful and an amazing great actress!

It's powerful and could protect the child even when she's no longer there. Time is a super powerful thing and people better not playing with that. I watch a lot kdrama about time travel and it always gone bad to sad ending. Beautiful drama with beautiful message. I love sci fi and this one is my favorite one.

Laila Jan 06 2022 7:04 am Am I the only one got confused? ending is as confusing as the entire plot, and is hardly fulfilling as a drama. It started out fun but quickly became messy and illogical,you keep watching hoping to eventually come to a logical conclusion but deep down inside you knew you were never going to get it. I was so happy Joo Won was back but honestly, “Alice” turned out to be one of the most disappointed kdramas of 2020 hands down. I had high expectations and the way everything turned out simply turned me off.

I would like see more famous works of him next year and let the people of the world know him better than before

Kami Dec 29 2021 1:16 am My favourite so far ! Great acting, just wish tbere was more Minhuyk and less Donyeon..I find it embarrasing for a woman to push herself on a man. Tae Yi and Jim Gyeom after reset : since both his parents were travellers, he is no longer born to them, but to a different family, therefore he met none of his old gang. Tae Yi being Omega is the only one who remembers and she clearly fid not give birth to him. His memories are as he said a sort of dream and are revealed once they met again..or maybe he just remembers her / his feelings for her. I just wish the ending to be sealed with an embrace ! Congrats to actors and all team, great series 10 / 10

Shade Sep 16 2021 3:26 pm What I don’t understand is that, there was a part that showed that if the future people get in contact with the present for long they get rashes, however when the mother was in 1992, she had a kid and yet no rashes. If she showed the researcher the lady that will stop time travel if she was not present, then how is it that the lady and her supposed son end up together in a romance. Plus when did the director of the movie decide that a sci-fi movie should end up as a romantic one? Like was he developing the story in the process of the acting the movie??? If she was successful with stopping time travel, then she wouldn’t have made it back to ‘92 from 2050. I love Korean drama o, and try to follow up comments of movies before watching but this movie does not make any sense. If there should be any romance development it should have been between the guy and his journalist friend. Someone seems like your mom so you wanna kiss her? How normal is that?

Tifa Aug 22 2021 8:11 am I was really enjoy it watch from the eps 1-6 (i did marathon in a day since i curious of the next eps) but then i found the scene through the rest episodes of yoon tae yi and park jin gyeom hmm it lil bit hmm how to say that.... and here i am (read the comment section) and know that i am not alone tho ;P btw i get boring in the four last eps, it’s kinda confussing(?) so i dont get the story(?)

This one made it seems like it's a normal feeling or relationship. I enjoyed it at first but got turned off when they put some sort of romance between the mother and son. I only finished it in hope of a good ending but made me regret it.

There were a lot of plot holes and these are facts that we feel annoyed and disgusted . 1) after it clearly showed Tae Yi is Jim Gyeom’s mother by her mark on neck , romantic scenes and love line between them in final episode are disgusted. 2) Older Tae Yi’s birth year is not clear why she was in her 30s when she came to 1992 from 2050. 3) When was the time reset ? 2010 or beginning of time travel ? If it was 2010, why Jim Gyeom didn’t recognize his mom’s face when he passed by Tae Yi ? If all time travelers were back to where they were originally belongs , why Tae Yi,Jim Gyeom,Mr.Ko still exist in 2020? 4) What did cause the time reset ?why old JG tried to kill her mother in 2010 while old JG wanted to stop time travel ? Due to the reason of looking for culprit, he became the monster and time travel cycle was never stopped. 5)If time machine was invented by JG’s mother in her 20s and Tae Hi is her past and younger self , why wasn’t it happened in 2020 ? She is already 32 in 2020.

It would be awesome series if it turned out in final episode by following scenes - In 2020 , working cops in police station without Mr.Ko and JG - Happy family by daughter , father and mother whom was killed by her older self who kidnapped her baby from school. - Chinese restaurant owned by Tae Hi’s adopted parent run by 3 of their family members without Tae Hi. - Mr.Ko’s wife became widow since 2010 and living herself. In 2050, - Tae Hi met with JG’s father , they got married and JG was born and turned to be any professional scrip writer wanted to be.

The parallel universes theory can help explain their attraction, as the 2050 Tae-i had a totally different parallel life: 2050 Tae-i founded time travel at age 19 (i think mentioned), went back to 1992 to have her kid at age 24, died in 2010 at age 42. 2020 Tae-i was born in 1989 so in 2020 will be age 31. However, perhaps due to DNA issues, both ML and FL feel the attraction and chemistry but somehow are unconsciously not able to / hesitant to act on these feelings. With the "reset", this hurdle is now removed. The cyclic curse is finally broken, so the last observation Jin-gyeoum had of a happy 2050 Tae-i (after he killed his older self) would have been the last of the parallel universe where time travel was possible. Subsequently, when 2020 Tae-i returned to her own universe, Park Jin-gyeoum the policeman never existed, as the cyclic curse was broken in the parallel universe. Hence, Park Jin-gyeoum the architect would have been born in another family, but due to forces of nature and fate, these 2 souls would still find each other in the end, defying all logic and time. Which to me, is super duper romantic.

Diamond Mar 16 2021 7:41 am First time reviewing...I just have to. I liked the story but I keep getting grossed out by the fact that the ML is getting attracted to the FL and vice versa. Assuming that she is not his mother, she still looks like his mother. Like what? Oedipus complex much. I will not finish the series. Even if they don’t end up together, the fact that there are hints that they are starting to get attracted ruins my appreciation of the story. Sorry.

Tosca Mar 15 2021 7:16 am OMG! To the ones who said that this one feels like a rip-off of Dark (the German Series)...I feel it, too!!! I mean, they totally took a lot of story aspects. I watched Alice first, actually, and I was disappointed by the plot holes and the inconsistency of its built up theories.

Then I watched Dark. I started to feel the "connection". Once I saw the book with torn last pages I was like....wait a minute. And then every aspects are similar, although in Alice those aspects were modificated though.

I don't know, but I feel like Alice tried to adapt Dark in a wrong way. They try to make a different story by modificating it. While those modifications are the ones that create a lot of plot holes.

Is there anyone who's also been watched both series already? What do you think?

When i expect that detective find the killer but there in another story line begin. I love joo won acting especially his expression in all episodes . He does not show his emotion. And the actress kim hee seoun is doing well acting . She doing great deal with unless emotion person . I am love'n it this drama . I hope directer made this type of drama again with new story . Awesome Mar 10 2021 5:34 pm The storyline for sure has a lot of flaws and obviously one understands this was intended and that this is what the directors wanted to pass on to the viewers. I don't mind the flaws at all, movies on this topic will never come without flaws, what I think that was missing here was the realisation of a romance, a kiss, intimacy, it would have taken this story to another level and brought in another audience. Still, the movie is epic, I am not surprised it was such a success in Korea. Anyone calling this creepy or using words such as inbred has got some personal issues to resolve, she was clearly not his mother.

Great drama, have recommended.

Lucy Mar 05 2021 4:08 am this drama had the potential to be a great drama yet it failed so miserably I think the writers watched the show "dark" and thought it was cool and wanted to try something like it but honestly... it was such a waste for what would have been a great plot line SPOILERS. first of all the two main leads shouldnt have been there at the end they should not exist, because the male lead was the son of a time traveler so he shouldve been born in 2050 not this timeline and female lead is the daughter of a time traveller as well so she wouldve been either not in this time line or should just be the mother.

second of all... all the "parallel universes" they made makes no sense at all... each one is super different than the other, and lets say there are for example two alternatives or whatever or maybe more.. then what ever he does in one alternate universe wouldnt matter in his own universe.. but for some reason all these universes has the same people and time travellers?? okay then if thats the case then the mother shouldve been the future version of the female lead .. they shouldve been her in the future so she would grow up and be the mother and have faced all this before.. this shouldve been a cycle that keeps repeating until the main guy broke it but they failed to show that as well..

like dark there were two alternate endings for the male and female leads, either he dies or he grows up to be the evil- same as the girl lead that was their alternate endings but here.. they just tried to make sense of something that really makes nonsense.. was there an alternate that he dies in? what about his evil self is that the guy who grow up to be the old man or who is he?? what was his future what about that researcher who killed his past self where did he come from if his past self is dead by him....

( i hated wasting my time on it but i thought it would get better but it never did.. so many plot holes..

ning Mar 05 2021 2:55 am this is the weirdest korean drama that i've ever watched. the story is getting more and more weird.. i've wasted my 16 hours watching this drama... i would give 6 out of 10 if tae yi never back to 1992 in the last episode, or if she did it, she should not staying in 1992. all reason of this story exists was because Tae-I chose to stay and keep his son.

i would rate this serial 3 out 10. don't waste your time to watch this drama..

Panthomwatch Mar 04 2021 9:11 pm I binge watch all this on netflix yesterday except the last episode, I really like the concept (time travel, mystery) of this drama and the first few episode got me hooked up. I really like the unique idea of the male lead having alexythimia and being smart. I love those stories/drama with calm and collected leads. However, the decisions of the characters frustrates me as I continue to watch it. One thing that bothers me is that the male lead have like romantic and awkward scene with his parallel dimension mother and I am extremely annoyed at his loud female friend that I keep preasing the forward button in all this scenes. I skipped the last episode because I'm really bothered on the said scenes and the story became ridiculous.

I had to start skipping forward through all their romantic scenes, it was just too gross. I don't care what "version" of his mom that is- their kids will all be inbred.

Okay let's say Tae Yi still exist, then she shouldn't live with the foster family who owns the restaurant. Why? Because the reason she lived with them was because a time traveller kiled her dad in 1992. Since everything was being "reset", her dad would still be alive and she would have to stay with her father.

Britt Mar 02 2021 3:31 pm (Spoilers!) Hi "Crush" I am at ep 9 but having read your disappointment with ep 16, I just had to watch it. Firstly, Mrs Park and Prof are NOT the same people. Mrs Park is from the future, ie 2050 (born ca 2030) shot herself in 2010, her son 28y version shot 90+ year version knowing they would both crumble and disappear resetting or fixing if you will the 1992 timeline, ie closing the portal. Therefore, Mrs Park didn't exist in 1992 nor obviously her son so Mr Ko of course had no idea who the prof was talking about!. The prof, Yoon Taei is the daughter of the author who got shot, born 1989 She belongs to that timeline and that world/universe. It is a known fact that most of us have a doppelganger in this world, also that one of grandchildren can be dead ringers of their ancestors or just a fluke resemblance without being from the same family/origin. So, why can't there be another Mr Park junior this time being an architect not detective? As for the reason why prof remembered, well she's the daughter whose father got killed. She's the one ankered to the beginning, the root, not Mrs Park the mum. Joo Won, the detective, shot his older self, wasn't meant to be in 1992 as that version ie the son of Mrs Park so the architect version would therefore not remember how their love story developed and what they went through. However, those memories are buried in his mind and subconsciously it's resurfacing through his sketching.! How poetic!!! When prof hears from journalist Kim about the philosophy of architect, she seeks him out. Seeing her and the necklace prompt his memory. It's simply one of the best scifi, crimi, love plotlines I have ever come across. Gomasmida dear writer There is also a notion that a people have what's called collective memory. And there is also the notion of reincarnation at play here: if 2 souls are meant to be together, they will find each other in time and throughout time just like our FL and ML. It's nice 2c 2 ladies vying for the ML for a change. Wonder how that will pan out... ;-) Joo Won is brilliant - again :-). He was amazing in Good Doctor so I'm happy 2c that he got so many awards for that role. The moon embracing the sun was great too.

Okay so I'm disappointed the way this drama ends. And I have like, a lot of questions for the plot holes.

1) How old is Tae Yi? She is young in year 2050. Why she was born in 1992? Okay.. maybe people can answer it like "Maybe she traveled through time and then chose to stay at 2050." Buttt doesn't that mean she will meet another old Tae Yi in that year?? Anddd why would you just move to year 2050 so suddenly after knowing how to time travel. The drama should have explain this.

2) If everything is reset in the end, why does Tae Yi and Jin Gyeom is alive and remember everything? They should not be there.. because Tae Yi's mom is a time traveler. Andddd Jin Gyeom, as y'all know is the son of Tae Yi, also a time traveler. They shouldn't exist there. Okay but if they still want to keep those two alive even with the plot holes like this, they should've make that Tae Yi's father is still alive. He was murdered for that book right.. then Tae Yi would not go to orphanage and not meet with her adoptive family. Then, they could've made that Jin Gyeom only exist after Tae Yi met Min Hyuk and got married. Ish I don't understand how to cover their plot holes. So much for the sake of keeping the main leads alivee with memories. Urgh

3) The major thing I don't enjoy this drama is the romantic moments of Jin Gyeom and Tae Yi. It still feels incest although the present Tae Yi is not the one who gave birth to Jin Gyeom. I felt so 'ewww' during their moments. Why don't they make it more like mom-son moments?? Because she's technically her mom- just time difference. have same genetic! No need for romance. Give him to Do Yeon is better. I don't understand what is so important about romance like that. It's not even sweet. It's not like every drama should include romance. Although they did show in the end, they're just smiling to each other, it feels offf. It's like the next time they're gonna date or something because there are some awkward moments before, for example when Tae Yi's face is so close to Jin Gyeom and she got all embarrassed. Urgh. Killed my mood.

Okay that is all from me. I shall give this drama 6/10 rating. it's unique but I guess the writer tried so hard to make plot twists that this drama has some major plot holes.

Something about it is so compelling; the mysterious way the story unfolds, the cinematography or the acting maybe? I think this was the only Kdrama that I paid full attention when watching instead of fast forwarding like other dramas. But still, I could not understand one damn thing lol.. 10/10 for being different.

Time travel in films, TV and books is always complicated the more you throw in the mix. The more things you show the audience the more plot holes appear, and questions are being shouted out at the screen.

I didn't try to get to hung up over a lot of them, but after an disappointing last few episodes I was annoyed.

There is a lot I liked about the show, apart from the cringing moments between Tae-yi and Jin-gyeom. There was times when they had 'moments' and all I could think of was "that's your mother". I know that technically she wasn't, she was a different version of his mother and never gave birth to him. But genetically. She is his mother. I say about half way in it started to turn into more of a star crossed lovers series.

Also when Do-yeon says she spoke to an architect, it sounded like she didn't have a deeper knowledge or friendship with Jin-gyeom. Surely they would of stayed friends if nothing more.

Sigh. I keep typing/ranting and deleting...apparently I've been triggered more than I thought.

He could of time travelled to see Min-hyuk and been like hey don't leave her alone in 1992, because drama will ensue.

I guess I wish it had been a comedy. Min-hyuk doing the travel guide thing (no murderers) and something happens were he gets arrested or stumbles into his son's world and they have bicker and then find out their father and son and its all weird because they are the same age. Imagine older mother, Min-hyuk and Do-yeon and Jin-gyeom on double date, were Do-yeon has no idea.

As a drama, I wished they had Do-yeon and Jin-gyeom becoming romantically involved. That they had less moments of Jin-gyeom and Tae-yi, almost pining for each other, and more a son striving to have a connect with his 'mother'. Tae-yi should of had the deja-vu moments earlier on so that she felt the mother and child bond.

Ok I'll just say this as it was one of the biggest things that made me cringe. When she is reaching up for the paper towels. I've watched enough of these shows to know what's coming, and I begged/shouted at my screen for it not to. But no. He comes up behind her, bodies touching and gets the paper towels and they share a look. A meaningful look. At which point I shouted "incest". At that point the whole thing hasn't clicked with her yet (it should of, she is very smart) but he knows that this is some how a version of his mother...or at the very least has the same FACE as his mother.

Overall I would give the plot a 5 or 6/10, if the direction after episode (I want to say) 7/8 had been different it would of been higher. Acting was 9/10. special shout outs to Joo Won, Kwak Si-yang, Lee Da-in, Kim Sang-ho, Lee Jae-yoon (Lee Jae-yoon - best acting in the three shows I've seen him in, not sure if he has been training or just this role was a better fit, but his performance was spot on).

gdik Dec 30 2020 1:55 am I would've wanted a trio reunion but it's okay. It's full of plot twists. It reminds me of nine from tvn. The drama pace was exciting, the only thing that puzzles me is how the main lead was born if there is no alice. I would've wanted the main lead to actually have a love line but it's okay. The actors did splendid in portraying their roles. It's a drama that leaves you hanging though but it did well in depicting scenes we should focus on. This may be one of the best dramas ive watched this year. Not for everyone though. It reminds me of old kdrama themes. One that keeps you watching it until it ends. Effects and transition were fitting and it didn't look sloppy. Action scenes were great too, except for oh siyoungs scene but she pulled through. Fashion was nice to look at. Thank you to all the staff and directors/writers for this movie. You did well as well as the actors.

I will check out the writer for this series too.

What I learned from this series is that our choices will definitely depict what happens in the future so we have to think carefully on what we choose. We also need to accept our choices and never live in regret or never despise others/ourselves on the decisions we make. Acceptance is a must too. Thank you once again

Alice Dec 20 2020 4:45 am Haven't seen any drama as interesting as this! It's simply outstanding. Someone compared it with Dark. I saw the first season of Dark and honestly I had to drag myself to watch even the ten episodes, not because it's not good but because I had seen Alice before it so my expectations were quite high. Alice is a piece of art. If you're a sci-fi lover like me, this is a must watch. I'm 100% sure you'll love it. I did feel that the ending was deliberately made a happy one but after reading some of the comments, I realized it did have a deeper meaning. It would've been great if that was explained in the drama too. But anyways, this drama is really one of the best. I'm sorry if you won't agree but it really is equal to some of the best hollywood movies in my opinion. I won't be exaggerating if I say I enjoyed it as much as I enjoy Interstellar, Inception, X-men, Avengers or LoTR series.

I want them to be together, but it just doesn't make sense because she is his mother.. I think the ending, after everything reset back, all time traveler have been sent back from where they came from.. including jin-gyeom mother.. and Jin-gyeom born with different mother, not tae-yi.. but due to parallel dimension, he has memories and deja-vu.. That's why he didn't recognize Tae yi at first when they meet.. then that will make sense regarding the ending..

To offer you guys a little help,

1. Omega in math means the first of all, close to nothing, so it explains why Tae Yi is the only with an omega mark, because she invented the time travel and is the first one or original of all the time travelers.

2. 2050 people who time traveled to the past get the sigma mark. Sigma means summation, or the sum of all. So to denote which one is from the future, they will get sigma mark, since they are the summation of all the years their past lives have lived.

3. Why did Jingyeom still exist after the reset? Because time travel wasn't totally erased. Only the events from 2010 onwards, starting from when his mother was murdered. That's why his present altered. As to why he remembered present Tae Yi, deja vu happened. Meaning, other parallel universe memories got into him. Note that only his universe got a reset and not the other parallel universes. Also note that Tae Yi came from another parallel universe, not exactly from their timeline.

4. Why does Tae Yi remember everything? Because she's the omega, the mother of all, she's the creator written in the "book of prophecies". She's untouchable. Reset won't apply to her as she already met another version of herself in 1992.

5. Where is Minhyuk and others? Pribably in their universe, but not in this timeline.

6. So if Tae Yi from 2050 is still alive, does it mean there are 2 Tae Yi's in the present? Yes, probably, but take note that Jin Gyeom's mother wasn't shown in the last scenes. So we're not sure if she died after some time or if his mother was also altered as a result of the reset.

7. Time travellers won't be able to come to their time line if present Tae Yi will not invent it. There will be no way to enter and exit their universe, so they are safe from their parallel universe selves.

8. Last scenes doesn't really imply to them being lovers. They were just simply connected and attract each other. Their feelings for each other go beyond the definition of lovers. I still believe Jin Gyeom and Do Yeon will end up with each other.

However , i enjoy the whole drama because have a lot of suspense ,action and have a lot of touching heart scenes. The OST are great. Its really reflect the emotion scenes.

I cried and learned a lot from this drama.. kdrama watchers are will really miss a lot if they don't watch this!

When JG travelled to 2010, he met tae yi prof as univ student and tae yi prof asked she's 22 years old. When was exactly tae yi born?? How old is JG mother exactly when she travelled to 1992 to take prophecy book??

I think tae yi prof was born in 1988. It means in 2050 she should be 62 years old. Then she travelled back to 1992 when she was child, she chose to live 1992 because of her pregnancy.

So, in 1992-2010 there're 2 taeyi... But in 2010 TY (JG mother) passed away..so 2010-2020 there's just only 1 tae yi..

But i still confused, tae yi 2050 is young

janni Nov 07 2020 10:33 am Just done watching this kdrama and I like it a lot. Every episode is exciting and kept me thinking. Kim Hee Seon and Joo Won were indeed great in portraying their roles. It's Joo Won's Kdrama that is truly worth the wait. A wonderful drama for a comeback. Joo Won, you are indeed a great actor. Lots of scenes have reminded me of the US tv series "The Flash." The story is great and well written. There are a few flaws but didn't really mattered except for one and that is making Tae Yi the creator of time travel yet her mother is a time traveler who found the "Book of Prophesies." That is a bit off. The ending is great for me while some may have found a little annoying. It's suggesting that they may become lovers. Not bad at all. They've gone thru a lot together and has somehow developed some kind of feelings for each other. Also, the fact that Tae Yi, the mother, is from another dimension means they are not blood related. They just live parallel lives. The scenes showing their meeting when they were young and their pictures together shows that they are destined to be together. I don't see anything wrong with that. Congratulations to team " Alice!" Hat's off and two thumbs up!

Sols Nov 07 2020 3:13 am I dropped this drama last month, but I am soooooooo glad that I gave this drama a second chance. There are many plotholes in the story, but the casts' acting saved this drama. I already know how great Joo Won's acting is because of Yongpal. But episode 13 of Alice confirmed the fact that Joo Won is hands down the best actor I've seen this year. Insane talent!!!

I really like dramas with actors who play different roles especially my fave Ji Sung in Kill Me, Heal Me!!!

But I don't know why the final episode was (for me) ruined the whole story. Okay, some said it's sci-fi so it still reasonable and explainable. But no, I don't think so. Well, still, I can't say no to not recommend this drama to you. Its deserve for giving a try, considering the great actors in it (Its Jowoon's first project after discharged from military though).

In layman's words: The 'murderer' didn't kill Park Sun Young in 2010 so she stays alive. She stays alive because Jin Gyeom killed the 'murderer' in 2010 also.. So he doesn't exist anymore because his mom didnt die so he had no reason to become a cop so he chose to become an architect... I hope u understand.. If u don't.. Errgh... Give it time

Great movie tho.. I loved it.. Been a while I watched a kdrama scifi... M loving this.. Hoping to see more of this in the future too

Emma Oct 28 2020 6:34 am "Space saves time" I love alice! TY xJG love wins! This is one drama that I will never forget, along with empress ki and a few. The plot line was interesting enough but the story of JG and TY was exquisite. With all the time travel stuff, i think the drama overall is actually a very sad, painful, dark and twisted drama because of the story line. I always knew the writers were not the traditional one , they wan to bring shock and awe and they did. I know that some doesn't like the plot, but i find it beautiful, full of misery but mesmerizing. This drama taught us the value of time and the present. Hidden in the story is actually the theory really of alice and bob- in physics. It says that they will always be related, connected and attracted to each other and for me that is TY and JG no matter what timeline. Taye yi 2020 deserves that kind of ending. Moral lesson of the story: Don't mess with time, it is forbidden. Even their love story is forbidden but i love the ending-an open one. I believe that despite many believe TY's love save Jg in the end, JG also equally or shall i say loved tae yi present more. Why? He spent 10 years for revenge but in the end, chose the present, tae yi's true time line over her mother. I even thought maybe he might choose to become a son again but didn't. For me, that is love. They are afterall fated to each other right from the start. Kudos to the cast esp the main lead and the whole alice team!

Jeng Oct 27 2020 3:01 am (SPOILERS....) I fell in love with this drama from ep1. Love it...... However, the ending is confusing. After the re-set, who is TaeYi, who is SunYoung? Where is papa MinHyuk? Is JinGyeom suppose to exist?....The thought of JinGyeom with TaeYi makes me cringe, haha!

So, I make my own version. After the re-set in 2020, everything is the same as in the drama, EXCEPT TaeYi is not able to locate JinGyeom. Then she finally realize that JinGyeom is not born yet. She has to come to terms in accepting the new truth. In her research, she will meet MinHyuk who is a professor of History, introduced by DoYeon. MinHyuk works in a university project to restore a historical monument where he will mention "space is where memories are kept" (hmmm!). They fell in love due to deja vu effects, and finally got married. A year later, a baby boy is born, and guess his name.... Yoo Jin Gyeom.... he will grow up with both mama and papa by his side, and he will be a happy person who will always be smiling and laughing, able to tell jokes and many birthdays to celebrate..... the end. That's my version. Thank you!! :)

The characters who time traveled had been split up to two different characters yet was the same person (one person is the original one and the other is the one who had been time traveled) - This is what i understand for the last ep.. - The last scene where jingyeom forget about the existence of her (deja vu) cause he is literally from the past after the reset things. - - Taeyi and jingyeom know each other in the future because everything had been reset after 1992 above so, the last scene is the past jingyeom who dont even know the existence of alice and taeyi. - - For taeyi's memories after the reset what i understand is because taeyi and sunyoung used to met each other before (when taeyi accidentally time traveling to 1992) so taeyi got the memories of sunyoung itself (the effects after the doppelganger met each other was they share the same memories) because taeyi and sunyoung literally not the same person than the one who are time traveling (all time travellers had been reset thats mean all of them are gone only the original has left).. So only her are not lost the memories.. - - Lastly jingyeom at the very last scene he seem to remember who taeyi is because he was the one who can control the time (remember when the time are freeze etc) so maybe thats why he got his memories about her back...

Im still infuriated at the ending and the story direction. I was really enjoying the drama but the last few episodes really destroyed it. That ending was improvised and made no effort to close any loose ends.

I think this is my first kdrama without a kiss scene and the ending is so vague that I hope they didn't do an incest route. Joo Won's acting is on point tho but this kdrama just became redundant I had to skip all the romance scenes and flashback scenes.

I wish they didn't do the implied love line between JG and Taeyi. Instead they could add the romance in Taeyi n Minhyuk interaction.

And instead of 2020, the scene after the reset would be better in 2050 where old version Taeyi n Minhyuk watch their JG becoming whoever the writer wants him to be.

Also I'm a bit disappointed with the action scenes, Joowon would surely do good in action scenes but the fight scenes here aren't satisfying enough. I mean the first fight scene between JG n MH was epic but in his last scene MH couldn't even do anything while his reason to fight was much more significant as he had to protect his family. It's just disappointing.

Roséš Oct 25 2020 11:25 pm SPOILERS!!! I think the reason why most of us viewers thought that the story didn't make sense is because the story became redundant. Specifically with the scene where Joo Won always try to catch his mom's killer and that plot twist there wherein Joo Won was also the "Teacher" that he had been chasing could've been uncovered on the earlier episodes, so atleast they could have use the other episodes with more necessary scenes so the viewers would understand the story that they were trying to convey. They should've also ended it in the scene wherein Park Jin Gyeom simply passed by the Professor and he didn't remember anything, I think that's more appropriate for an "open ending".

No one in the right mind starts watching a drama to hate it. So it's a huge disappointment when a good drama goes off the rails.

The drama starts off with great potential ably supported by an assortment of fascinating characters. It's all set to be one of the better things this year. Then it starts flirting with taboos using rom com cliches which might be forgivable except that well, the claims the shows make about the temporal mechanics don't ever add up. Is it a multiverse situation or are we looking at causal loops? Paradoxes?The problem is that's never explained. To absolve themselves of having to do some real explaining, they do a cop out, break their own rules left right and centre.

To me this was an absolute waste of talent and a fascinating premise. The ending is really just the tip of the iceberg. But it was nonsense completely unworthy of its namesake.

Personally im not that dissapointed with the ending. But i have to say it is sooo messed up. There is sooo many holes on the last eps. Dont get me started on the reset theory, how tf did jin gyeom could even be born ? Didnt the mother died as well ? How the heck tae yi remembers everything when the future has already changed. How the heck did jin gyeom didnt reconginize tae yi when they cross path in the reset time, she literally had the same face as his mother, How tf did the reporter friend didnt recongnize jin gyeom ? They were on the same school and they are friends. The only logic part was the fact that jin gyeom is an architect, cause the future has changed and the only reason why he became a detective was because he wants to catch his mother killer. But then when it reset, his occupation could change. It is soo messed up. And the way that the writer trying to force the romance between yoon tae yi and park jin gyeom really disturb me in the end. Like why would he go and find her? Why would she go and wait for him infront of the old house? What is the significant ?

The writer could easily write the story where tae yi understood that the past have change and that jin gyeom also might have changed and that they may cross each other path in life. But forcing a romance scene is just a big no no. There is a freakin reason why jin gyeom mother said in the earrrrrrlllllyyy eps, not to get involved if he see his mother doppleganger. And its better that when the time reset, everyone just move on with their new life. That would be a clean ending. But hell naa, the writer still wanna force that romance in between. Idk bout yall but it is soo wrong to potray such romance regardless if they are two diff person anyway. I mean cmon, would you marry your parents or person who looks 99% like your parents. If yes, then yall are weirddd. Huhuhu. I could understand that jin gyeom longs for his mother love (only as child and mother loves) but to put a perspective in romance is just weird. Anyway, thats my commnet. Thank god the drama ended. Haha.

So ... yesterday I said that only a miracle could save this drama from a terrible ending, having seen, everything that happened in the penultimate episode. And, unlike the vast majority, for me, this miracle happened. I liked! I really liked it. If we think that the death of the old man, the great cause of all the evils we witnessed throughout history, occurred exactly when it all started, in 2010, it was a clever move by the screenwriter. From that day on, everything was restarted and, consequently, changed everyone's life, including Park Jin-Gyeom. Even he, he had no idea what his future would be, considering his last thoughts when saying goodbye to his mother on the street, in 2010. The reason why only Tae-yi remembers everything we can consider as a failure to restart, after all, who said that the whole process would have to go without errors? But, the important thing is that everyone was able to resume their lives with the least worst of all losses, the complete oblivion of Park Jin-Gyeom. I also liked that they (Park Jin-Gyeom and Tae-Yi) were able to meet again and, who knows, live the promise of true love in the future. I just wanted to know what happened to Alice, in particular, the Min-Hyuk. Although it was excluded in 2010, it already existed in the parallel world. Anyway, we can only think that, somewhere in time and space, they continue to exist. Great drama, one of the most interesting on this topic. I loved burning my eyelashes.

The reset was unclear, how did he reset time by killing the old version of himself, it makes no damn sense y'all. I'm salty that they took a perfectly good drama and fubared it to death. Writer please do better in the future, it was great until the twist. All the actors were on point so kudos to them.

When time door is closed why tae remember everything,unlike everyone she also forgot everything during that time travel.also that necklace of tae yi is survived,bravo.... In epi 14 they clearly said jin gyeom mom and tae yi are same person then why jin gyeom and tae yi exist. And more foolish at the end jin gyeom remember everything and come to tae yi,that means he remember everyone like me.ko, do Yeon. Totally dissappointed with ending . About actors all done very good job. This drama like you climb big mountain to watch something nice but ended up with nothing.

The ending was weak. Commenter G14 and PickyPrincess11 made a clear point about the ending. I agree with them. I felt the same with commenter Suzy. I felt disappointed with the inconsistency. It didn't wrapped up well.

The ending of the story was that Jin Gyeom reset time to continue the romance between him and Tae Yi. That's how I feel. Still it was incorrelated to what shown in the previous episodes. The events and characters of the story were not link to the ending. It is a loose end ending. A weak ending. But i still give credit to the writter for making the other episodes very interesting except only for episode 16. I think this is the drama that i wrote comments multiple time. Congratulation to production of Alice.

G3 Oct 25 2020 12:16 am 1stly, Kudos to all the Actors who have done a splendid job, the dir who tried his best(even with the confused script), the cinematographers who gave few beautiful eye candy shots, the efx experts making the effects marvellous, by giving justice to the horrible script (last two episodes) and making us to forget even the story line's flaws And lastly the writers(till epi14, guess last two were written by substitutes ;-) ), who tried to bring out a lovely story of mother's love in a science fiction.

As a normal viewer of kdrama, I didn't like the ending, which clearly seems like a work around in hassle. It could have been better if they had explained what happened exactly in 2010 after reset, instead of YTY(prof) running around to find the PJG(detective in her memories) in 2020.

Personally, if the following were cleared, I would have liked the ending more.

1. They could have avoided showing the plot where YTY(2020) and YTY(2050) talks about being the same person from different time line, which is the start of chaos in last two episodes.(until which only confusion & diff hopes were there). They could have made PJG listen to YTY(202/prof), just with her looks and sound which resembled his mom.

2. The time reset in 2050 would have been more clear, if only PJG(architect) and YTY(mom) alone, remembered what happened during time travel, then the parallel universe concept would have been maintained(with less doubts). So YTY(2020/prof), wouldn't have met PJG (OR) have had any crush, to begin with. I guess the story was finished by some asst director(the subs i believe), so that they wanted to use all the previous episodes scripts in ending(like the necklace and rooftop promises).

3.If YTY(2020/prof) did remember the time travel, they could have also showed YTY(2050/mom) in 2020, along with PJG(architect) and YTY(2020/prof), to show that the actual time reset started in 2010. This would have actually justified the crush YTY(2020/Prof) had on PJG (OR) atleast which could have never happened in current timeline, as they would themselves known why. ( and also as that's the most hated plot in the story till end, BUT i didnt and dont mind it, as I always wanted to believe YTY(2020) was never PJG's mom :-D)

4. Apart, from the romance in the story, PJG(2050), could have killed YTY(2050) in Alice itself, before she even travelled time(to 1992, in search of book), when she was still conceived with PJG(detective), so the monster was never born (OR) he could have killed PJG(detective) asap he is born in 1992, as YTY(2050), was leading a simple life to raise PJG till then (OR) atleast, they could have used the blood moon day as reason why PJG(2050), could'nt find YTY(2050/mom) until 2010.

OMG, even after the drama has end, I have doubts, qstns and answers myself for the story. Guess Alice will keep me, thinking for some time now. :-D

However, I enjoyed what was given to me, even if it wasnt precisely upto my taste. Thank you Team. :-) <3

I wanted them all to be alive and life an ordinary and happy life. I know a lot doesn’t make sense but it’s fantasy so they can just make anything up and make it exist in the drama (like them remembering what didn’t even happen since everything reset). For those worried about Min Hyuk, He is probably living a normal life in his time. Love Alice team! Loved this drama despite the flaws. It was super nice watching it. Gonna miss them so much!

But here it's soo irrelevant...How jin gyeom could have born ?? When there is no time travelling....he is someone who actually should not exist..But how is he there ?? What about his mom ??... I everything is rest tae yi should not know to remember anything. It had really good potential to be a masterpiece but the ending spoiled it ..I mean ep 13-15 was really good..But ep 16 start was nice but it was not wrapped up properly

For starters:

1. So when did the reset begin? Prof Tae Yi still has the same set of (adoptive) family? So what happened to his biological father that was killed by time travelers back then? What happened to him that little Tae Yi still ended up in the orphanage to be adopted? 3. How the hell Jin Gyeom still existed? Was he born of different parents? That darn necklace survived? 4. Do reported Do Yeon and Architect Jin Gyeom still know each other? 5. Don’t even get me started on the forced love line of Prof Tae Yi and Architect Jin Gyeom. Just the thought of them together in bed once married disgusts the heck out of me!

Really just do not watch the last 15 or so minutes. This will save you hair pulling and screaming at the TV, plus you can make your own ending. Because these idiot writers just screwed SO much up! Why would the Professor remember everything? That's stupid. Why would the people who interacted with him up to that point in his life (the night his mom died) No longer remember him? WHY did he not react to seeing this woman who looked exactly like his mother? Where was his mother? WTF? That house? It WAS the house he grew up in!!!! Why didn't he remember it???? I'm also furious about them not having Jigyeom with Do Heon at the end. That totally infuriates me. Not even mentioning, Tae Yi's mother was a time traveler, so she shouldn't exist, let alone her son. The Police chief also should have disappeared, cause time traveler. Not that I'm complaining that they didn't make those people disappear, but still! Also shouldn't Tae Yi's realL father still be alive, if time travel never happened? So she wouldn't have had that adopted family... but then I guess the reset was from the time of his mother's murder - because things changed then. I really really despise it when a drama that's been enjoyable (even if not perfect) for almost the entire time (especially all but the last 15 minutes or so) just ruins it with a stupid idiotic ending like this. BTW that woman knows full well she is his mother!!!! So that final supposed 'happy reunion' made my flesh crawl - I wanted to slap her.

When the time travel door was closed n all those things were reset, they went back to where they should be in term of timeline. Yoon Tae Yi stays n grew up as Jang Tae Yi bcs her dad who were killed by a time traveller, now is alive, or at least, he did not die in such incident. Eventually in 2020s, maybe end of 2020 or later, she meets Yo Min Hyuk n then Jin Gyeom born as Yoo Jin Gyeom, not Park Jin Gyeom. I'm ok if Jin Gyeom never get to meet Do Yeon, because they are not supposed to be in one same time at all.

But turns out, writer had diff idea n all I had imagine remain in my mind. Now I regret that I watched the ending, or at least, ep 16 part 2.

Then, taeyi should be live as ordinary taeyi like before she found a time travel. It would be make sense if taeyi 2020 meet minhyuk and live ordinary as it should be. But, why she have to meet jigyeom? Did jigyeom have reincarnation? So, jigyeom now probably wasn't born as taeyi/sunyeong and minhyuk's? In last scene, it seems like writternim force to have love line between jigyeom and taeyi. I know is kinda open drama but it was ashamed that time traveler didn't show up in 2020. They should be exist too in my opinion. Actually, i love the concept of the drama and the acting of the actors was amazing but i found so many inconsistencies in story so it ends up unsatisfying, it's really out of what we think. If the ending should be that way, it should be more explaination about it so the viewer can accept the ending. But, nothing is perfect. Thanks for all staff's hard work. Best wishes in the future :)

The writer told in epsd 13-14 that tae yi (prof)'s mother was a time traveller too. And if tae yi (prof) and tae yi (jin gyeom's mother) are same. If I am not wrong. The plot means

Tae yi (prof) mother who was time traveler, gave a birth tae yi. She then passed away when she gave a birth taeyi. Taeyi grew little tae yi in 1992. She then in 2050, do time travel back to 1992 when she met herself (child) to take a prophecy book, but she didn't know that little girl was her self. Because her pregnancy, tae yi chose to keep living in 1992, and she had a baby, jin gyeom. She took herself (little tae yi) to orphanage.. so during 1992-2010, there are two tae yi... and during 2010-2020 there's just one tae yi (prof tae yi) because tae yi (JG mom) passed away in 2010.

If JG reset time travel. In what year should time start??

Jin gyeom can reset time travel. Min hyuk - taeyi went back to 1992, they live normally, have a baby, jin gyeom. Then, in 2020, 28 years later.. min hyuk and tae yi get older together, and their jin gyeom is an awesome policeman/detective..

But, writernim Why do you wrap the story line in open ending?? And you still try to make jin gyeom - tae yi will have love-line again? Why isn't there min hyuk in last episode? It's not fair. He deserves to get a better ending since in epsd 15 he said he want to make tae yi and his baby live happily.

Coz jin gyeom didn't met do yeon coz the rooftop accident didn't happen.. for me. Yoon tae yi is yoon tae yi whatever year or dimension. She is jin gyeom's mom.. remember she started having the mark on his nape same with park sun young. Because they are one. So its really giving me cringe if they ended up together.

Who wrote the book of prophecy and why? What happened to tae yi s mother? Why time travelers vanish but Captain Ko and Park Sun Young don't? If there is no time travel, how is Park Jingyeom born? Who is his father in this timeline? Why Park Sun Young chooses those actions? And if she did in every timeline, how crazy is it that in some timelines a knife was used? What was the deal with the unique knife? If the drama involves parallel universe that show there is no consequences for killing your past, how does killing the future make the past vanish? If the future Jingyeom becomes a monster, how did the past Jingyeom become that way? How and when did Professor Seok travel back in time? How and when did Professor Taeyi and Professor Seok discover time travel and open the portal ? Why is everyone obsessed with 2020 if Alice is thriving in 2050? Why did Professor Yoon take Alice to 2020 if she discovered time travel in her 20s?

Anyway this drama was cool and I liked the acting and concepts but the story was really problematic and the writers did a horrible job and a great disservice to what it could have been.

After all those plot twists and turns throughout all the episodes, why this poorly written ending?! The first time PJG and YTY met after everything had been reset, PJG didn't recognize YTY. He didn't even have any reaction at all upon seeing her. But doesn't she look exactly like his mother? He should at least have recognized or acknowledged that fact. Doesn't make sense at all. Also, the writer really couldn't help but stick to that "romance arc" that people hate the most? Really disgusting! Why not focus on bringing the family back together instead? Where's PJG's mom? What happened to her? The ending could have been so much better! After spending more than 16 hours of my life on this K-drama, why does the ending have to be this bad?! *Sigh* I now feel like more than 16 hours of my life have been put to waste.

At first, they try to approach this drama with some kind of science perspective but did not maintain it. At first, characters need some kind of tool to time travel, but then on the other episode, they just disappear as if they are some kind of supernatural entities. And the writer failed to explain clearly the motives of the villain. No shades to the actor, I think they all doing a great job. This drama could have been good if the writer consistent with the story. But, to watch this drama felt like a waste of my time.

I watched a lot of time travel theme stories i found Alice very interesting and made me watch intently not to miss anything (note:my attention span is short). This series didn't bored me at all. It brings the nostalgic feeling i have with x-files before. I wait excitedly for the next episodes. I cancel all appoint or go home early on the day it will be aired. That's how i am into this drama..hahaha. I am expecting to get a good ending for this series. So that it will be listed in my memory lane for unforgetable korean series. I will write my commendation after i watch ep 16. I am waiting tonight. Luckily it is my day off. Hehe

From what I seen? Not one in Alice know who is the teacher behind all these except Prof.OW and Director Ki is under Prof.OW (I don't think he know the teacher too) So, teacher should be JG ( I predict he has 2 personality - good vs bad)

Alice succeeded in travelling back to past to meet their dead love one and also to fix their mistakes, so they can live a new life in future. So what I mean is JG in the past was psycho but his fate changed because of Inspector Go went back to the past to meet his wife and rise him well after his mom died ( From this scenes, I noticed Inspector Goh might hide the evidence that teenage JG killed his mom when showed he was standing outside the window, holding the knife) About Professor OW, he actually dead in 2010 (in 13 episode which he and JG mom are researchers in same lab, Kuiper) So, Professor Ow future was a villain, he knew the book contents but he can't figure out the last page, that why he send his own assassin to take back the last page? The last page shown JG is the destroyer look like giant python squeezing TY. My prediction is either TY or MH kills him. And the last preview on episode 14, MH goes after Ptofessor OW is also the reason of this. Hoodie guy definitely is GJ and not what other commenters said was MH? That's what the reason that GJ always encounters with Profesor OW many times? Don't forget GJ is also the hoodie-guy, leader of Alice, creator and destroyer time-travel, maybe the last scenes what I saw in episode 1 was GJ future travelling back to meet his mom because he promised to meet her again in that house. Grey-haired already because he born in 1992. About TY(20 20), live a new life in the present, shouldn't or meet GJ again, possibility he dies in 2021? maybe the good solution.

I think he can't face or fight against himself b'cos kinda illusion of himself. I may be dumb sometimes in my life but I'll never be this dumb. That's a stupid move from the writers. And another stupid thing is the characters seem to ignore or they don't know that Tae Yi is the same person as Jin Gyeom's mom. After everything that happened I don't know why they didn't realize this already. The drama is good but is stupid at the same time and it's frustrating.

BENCH Oct 18 2020 7:16 pm Okay, I get it now. Let us conclude that Jin Gyeom is the Teacher and the Destroyer Son as prophesized in the book, and there are many versions of him existing in different dimensions with the same timeline so as his mom who opened the forbidden door of time.

         Jin Gyeom who is known as the "Teacher" is the first and the original Jin Gyeom who was born with full control of time, and thus became evil enough (His Alexithymia somehow became a factor for his psychopathic tendencies) to kill his own mom. The reason why he wanted to kill his mom is because Tae yi (his mom) regretted what she did (Opening the door time and giving birth to an evil son) and wanted to reset everything which means both of them will die. Thus, Jin Gyeom being evil and wanted to stay alive stops his mom for resetting everything.

          This is where the loop started using the instrument of time travel. As we can see, the whole plot is just explained in the book of prophecy that goes like this; The Professor discovered and enabled time travel and gave birth to a son who controls the time and later became evil due to his alexythimia and poor childhood (Probably the first and original Tae Yi neglected her son Jin Gyeom in that dimension and focused a lot on her research). So, they realized they have to kill each other in order to either stop time travel or otherwise. Unfortunately, Tae yi was killed, Jin Gyeom the destroyer survived and continued the legacy of time travel where the loop as I said, begins.

          In 1992, tae yi is born and grew with the will to discover time travel, and each version of herself gives birth to Jin Gyeom which she only realizes later that the consequence is her life. So, the loop continues. Back in 1992 again, the same thing always happens until the butterfly effect came into play. The new Tae Yi somehow became aware of her fate, and wanted to notify the next version of her. In other words, she might be the one who created the book of prophecy. Then, the newer version of Tae Yi (The Tae Yi, who is the late mother of the current Jin Gyeom) upon discovering time travel in her dimension, heard a rumor that a book which describe its end exists. So, She goes back in 1992 to find that book. There she unknowingly met her dead father and her younger self, and saved the latter from being murdered by a follower of whom we call the "TEACHER". We can now notice the change in her.

            After many circumstances, Tae Yi, while taking care of her young counterpart whom she saved had finally read the last page of the book. In that time, she was still pregnant with Jin Gyeom. That is when she realized the fate of her son, which is to become a destroyer. She regretted everything but this time, she realized it earlier thanks to the book and her young counterpart. After that, she once considered resetting everything while its not too late. However, she gave up with that option because she found hope that she can change her son's fate, that she can raise him well, different from the "Teacher", and she somehow succeded in raising Jin Gyeom to be a good person knowing right and wrong. But sadly, there is this thing we call quantum entanglement where you absorb the memories, feelings and persona of your counterpart the moment you meet if you don't want to. And the saddest of all, the evil persona dominates in the form of an episode.

             Now, I am curious if the Jin Gyeom we are always rooting for could fight his other self despite this quantum bilocation stuffs, and finally change his fate, from being the destroyer to becoming a healer who could stop the time travel once and for all in order to live their lives normally without worrying about absurd murders, strange DNA results and unidentified Tae Yi's killer.

               Finally, I believe that the one who shot Jin Gyeom's mother (Tae Yi) was the director of Alice since Jin Gyeom is a good person and he hadn't meet the teacher. If that ever happened then, Jin Gyeom is already a psychopath by now, but he isn't.

               This is just my rough guess. We're on the 15th episode and guess what, I can't still confirm the plot. It blows my mind.

Like the detective captain father of Jin Gyeom who came from 2050 to 2010 (40 years time difference) but he didn't age at all and looked the same as his past self in 2010 but just lost his hair. And about the relationship of the present Tae Yi and Jin Gyeom no matter how the circumstances are (parallel universe) she's still his mom and it will remain uncomfortable for the viewers no matter how realistic the story is wanted by the writers (knowing the plot that is unrealistic at all ! ). Anyway the drama is good despite all those incoherences.

With Tae Yi, if someone is nice to you and protects you plus he's young and good-looking and you don't know anything about your future self, there's a possibility that you will fall for him. But for Jin Gyeom, he cares because she's her mom that's all.

Well, the lady agent in Alice, the one with Min Hyuk said that Tae Yi in 2020 is a different Tae Yi, coz it's a parallel universe like the one in TKEM.

How are they going to make Jin gyeom live with all that guilt??? I guess they might have to actually kill him to fulfill the prophecy and end time travel. It’s so sad for all of them.

I teared up watching Tae yi’s message to Min Hyuk and him crying as well. I feel like he’s about to lose his life while protecting Jin gyeom. I know TY didn’t want Idea to “Reset” but it might be the Only and best option at this point where everything is so so so messed up. Time travel was the only reason they were all connected to each other. They won’t know each other or exist in the same timeline once it resets and Jin gyeom would not even exist.

Just reset and let them live normal lives, That’s the possible ending I’m seeing for this drama. The actors are doing such good jobs. This drama is no joke!

Beginning, Alice found time-travel which can travel them back to the past and their organisation built out-skirtfrom the city, are these people in the future (2050) or present (2020)? Seem like those clients wanted to change their fate in the present, they need to go to Alice (future) and comeback to present with some time limit given eg :- Hong Seok and Eun-su's mom ( after their request fulfil, they departed back to present.)

Surprise to see prof. OW died in 2010 in episode 13 but he also dies in 2020 - episode 12 so how many Prof OW there? Btw, he is M assassin leader and not Alice leader ( look like JG is Alice head leader which MH doesn't know)

YTY born in 1989 can't b just 30+ years in 2050. So this throw us with theory of parallel universe only.

So PJG(2020)is his own enemy... He need to atleast save the prof YTY(2020), to stop time travel. As per preview, I guess Minhyuk would help.

If all leads of 2020 is killed by time travelling dopple gangers, then there would be no story for 15 n 16 episodes. Hope director will not lead the story to such a pessimistic ending.

Also the last page has another side, I guess that holds the answer to the rest of the story. They also should answer what the other thing, YTY(2050) found when she researched on, how to stop time travel.(guess YTY(2020) will solve it.)

And about the romance plot between PJG and YTY, I strongly feel director has reasons to justify, the start of it and also the twist and turns it takes now. For sure, now in epi13, YTY(2020) has lost hope on her interest on PJG romantically. Waiting for how it is going to turn up.

You see, there is called "forbidden door of time" which I think is the world where those counterparts who don't want to stop time travel came from. For example, Oh Seok Won (from current Jin Gyeom's world and time) seems to be religious and has sense of justice who showed great concerns with Jin Gyeom's mom when she is about to die.

However, when he had the book, he was killed and taken over by his bad doppelganger. With this, I think Jin Gyeom is about to be killed and replaced too before they manage to stop time travel. My God, every character is being replaced with people from the leaked forbidden world, and everything just repeat over and over again.

Will someone please stop time travel? it's not funny anymore.

It would be better if the writer focus in sci-fi not romance. Sci-fi suits better with the storyline. Taeyi (2050) had a mission to take a book in 1990s.. but she didn't know that she actually had to take his father's book, (maybe) because her memory was lost. So, she met herself (liitle tae yi) with min hyuk. Taeyi (2050) brought little taeyi (herself) to orphanage. Then, she knew that she was pregnant, so she chose to live in 1990, gave birth jin gyeom in 1992 and took carelittle taeyi (herself) who didn't remember too because of her trauma quitely.

That's way, when jin gyeom (2020) firstly travelled to 2010, he saw 2 taeyi: her mother and little taeyi who was college student in 2010.

So, they are same person, taeyi (jin gyeom mother and the professor)

I was one of those who shipped YTY and PJG,but when YTY(2020)states the fact of how ppl((PJG n Minhyuk) see her as YTY from 2050, burdens her, that hurts raw. ?

The concepts of time travel, explained each time with the instances they show, the ppl time traveled and when the same person meet themselves during the travel is all different and seems no connection.?

Suddenly when they start mentioning parallel universe concept , they are sticking to the opinion, that the same person meets him/herself in different time and with completely different character, harming their ownself of either in past or future( this shows all budget is spent of EFX and not the number of actors ?). So, I guess the next few episodes will all/mostly have only YTY s, PJG s from different timelines, until the last page is found. ?

Other than YTY(2020) being saved in 1992 and captain's comeback, all other time travel instances to the past end up in crime, as if ppl from future are all suffering from alexithymia?

I start liking Minhyuk more as he shows the responsibility for making YTY(2020) s life a chaos and I also feel bad for him, as he is not able to show any feelings as a dad to PJG.

Truly, couldn't accept the facts shown in preview of epi13. Just waiting for more.....

G3 Oct 10 2020 4:45 am Why are everyone obsessed with YTY,PJG love plot. It may be that, PJG in 2050 b the father, of PJG in 2020.

I have this doubt, cos in epi 1, when they come to take the book in 1992, when YTY(PSY) and MINYUK stay in hotel, only he says he loves her more than anyone in the world. she never confess anything like that.

May be PJG from 2050,(or may b in diff angle, from past even before 1992) wrote the book and would be YTY(PSY)'s LOVE. This explains y PJG to be reborn as YTY(PSY)'s son in 1992, as the author of the prophecy book he knows, that only he himself can stop time travel.

This also explains that professor YTY can be the future YTY(PSY) 2050 and she can have feelings for PJG in 2020.

Also in epi 11, they show Mr.Ko is time traveller from 2050, who doesn't know he might get stabbed (killed) in an ops in 2010?... that's bit confusing.

Or is this what parallel universe is all about? Same person, with same life but different circumstances????

Anyways... Story is getting interesting. I don't mind PJG and YTY s love story as they r two diff ppl from parallel universe :-D

Jake Oct 08 2020 12:57 am The author of the Book of prophecy is a time traveler with knowledge of all the crimes in it. That limits the author to a few certain characters. Captain Go, Jingyeom, Oh Si Young or possibly even Kim Do Yeon but I find that a stretch. My main suspicion is Park Jingyeom. He may discover something in the future that requires the end of time travel to save the world. Since he has limited feelings he may be the most willing to part with his past.

It's really a little ironic that they even use the book as a plot device when you have people with drones and cameras watching everything.

The mother infatuation with her time traveler son trope comes from there. If you want to take it further Futurama did it worse where Fry is actually his own grandfather. So just watch the drama and stop complaining about it because it has been done before and it s not certain that this is where the writers are taking it anyway.

But I also think that the person who wrote this does not research thouroughly regarding all of the time travel possibilities and concept. Of course it’s a fictional drama, but bear with me. First of all there’s no mention of butterfly effect at all. The time travelers can travel through time freely without any consequences and changes in the future or past. Secondly regarding the parallel dimension. I was in a hell lot of confusion when the word of paralled dimension been mentioned in the drama. Turns out, the ‘dimension’ thay they were talking about were just about future and past, not a whole another world. It’s not another dimension, but just a different time. So there’s no different person from other dimension. Just the same person in different which the possibility of Tae Yi to be Jin Gyeom mom still stand still.

The boy that controls time and the only character with any motive to stop time travel. Captain Go is a pawn. Professor Seok is in the book by name. And if you think about who wrote the book of prophecy, it was someone that knew of all the deaths. Jingyeom slowly learns of all the crimes. So it s very likely he is the author of the book.

If not him, my next suspect is Ki Cheol Am because he oversees everything at Alice. And he has the trust of Yoon Tae Yin and Minhyuk.

Did you all ignore the scene where YTY's parents said she and PJG looked good as a couple and the younger self of them captured by YTY from 2050 is a proof of a love attestation if i am right with my knowledge of Kdramas. I think the writer took the romantic part slow with the leads cause it is better that way to show JG actually understanding emotions and it shows the romance deepening in them. YTY is evidently in love with PJG and he is already feeling thesame way for her (Ep 8-10) will give u a clue of what i am saying.

the theory of the multiverse states that numerous universe or earth exist at thesame time. There will be someone like u in another time but not you also cause there will be evident differences..

let us just get one thing straight, PJG is not seeing YTY as his mother again...he is past that. He is seeing her for who she is...for the lady she is.

Everything is different except the name and facial lookalike others nah! I have watched all the episodes to the recent ones over and over again to see ur point of view but no... PJG shows emotion around Tae Yi esp when he smiled during her bday and he changed which Do yeon attested to not because she looks like his mom but because he has come to accept the fact that she is not his mother and he knows his mother is a time traveler from what he is investigating. Even my critic of a brother noticed that little by little, PJG is opening up his heart to YTY and i think so too. In Episode 10, he looked kinda worried when he asked if she didnt like the necklace. In Ep 8, when they Karaoking (if thats a word), he kept looking at YTY, there was this look of affection on his face whenever he looked at her and even when he was singing, he was looking at her... The mother of PJG took a picture of the young PJG and YTY at the amusement park (that means sth). i think they have gone past the stage where he thinks TY is his mom and now he has accepted the fact that she is a young professor who happens to be a lookalike of his time traveller mom... i think what is left of the episode is Who is this teacher? Where could the last page of the book be? Will PJG know that he is actually controlling time? Will Seok Oh Won be saved? Will Yoon Tae Yi remember her forgotten memories? A lotta questions!

It's not the typical drama that you just wait to air, as this one while you wait your mind is also working in thinking what is really to happen and what the plot twist could be. As I've read below comments before I make mine I am thankful that I am not the only one thinking the same thing. First I really love the chemistry between Tae Yi and Min Hyuk and of course Jin Gyeom and his mother. That's it, I really hope that everything will fall into the right place. For me Tae Yi (present) and Jin Gyeom mother is the same person. There has been a question in my mind for a long time, it is still not answered or clarified what Tae Yi's friend in Alice (the girl) did to her during the time they met in the train and visit during her funeral where Jin Gyeom saw her too. I believe that the little girl in episode 1 is yes confirmed that is Tae Yi in the present but also this is Jin Gyeom mother. How? When they go there to get the book right? They are time travellers right? So they went back to the past and that past is still her Tae Yi/Jin Gyeom mother. I hope I am right and don't worry guys I don't believe that there will be a romance for Jin Gyeom and Tae Yi as it really doesn't make sense.

Look closely again to every Jin Gyeom expression. Does his face and action express his love to Tae Yi? I do so and believe that the expressions are like from a son to his mom because Jin Gyeom sometimes sees his mom figure in prof Tae Yi. We have never heard Jin Gyeom himself says he like Tae Yi or love Tae Yi as man to woman right? So we still never know his feeling.

About Tae Yi, yes she expresses her love interest because she doesn't know about Jin Gyeom mom. She think that Jin Gyeom looks after her because Jin Gyeom loves her as a man to a woman. I became nut when know that Tae Yi never see Jin Gyeom's mom pic even when she is in the future. Maybe if that happen, it will help Tae Yi to understand Jin Gyeom's feeling toward her.

So, it is still unclear, guys. Please don't loose your hope to this drama. Even for me, I change my perspective toward Jin Gyeom and Tae Yi relationship several times. However, several hints during Tae Yi birthday (date, wants to hear Jin Gyeom sing, ask him to eat porkbelly and soju) make me think that Tae Yi is really Jin Gyeom's mom. In several episodes from now, we will see the truth, so let's watch the next episode until it ends. I believe the truth will be mind-blowing in a good way.

I hope the writers know why the viewers are against the love line between both of them. It's not because they didn't look good together though. It simply because they potrayed as mother-son in the early episodes. Just get rid of the romance and focus on the main story aka the Alice. Give us more about Alice and its secret.

(I don't mind the romance between Minhyuk-Taeyi or Jingyeom-Doyeon though because it was more acceptable than Taeyi-Jingyeom)

Maybe the mom and the present Tae Yi have similar identity but are from different/parallel dimensions so they're technically the same but different entity. Like the mom is Tae Yi of one world and the other is Tae Yi of a parallel world.

YTY ( 2050 ) travel back in time to save a little girl that has the last page of the book but didnt even know that it was herself, deciding to stay in year 1992 and have her son born which is JG changed her identity to make the two of them safe, as time goes by the little girl that was save by the YTY ( 2050 ) is growing up and studying to become a scientist that has a dream of creating a time machine to see her mom that passed away when giving birth on her, in the year 2010 when JG unexpectedly travel backed in time saw the 2 YTY which are the ( 2050 YTY that will die and the 2010 YTY who's studying ) it is also the year that the YTY ( 2050 ) goes to Director Won to inform that the 2010 YTY can discover how to start and stop the time travel and the year she died.

so many people are stating that they are different persons but sharing the same categories.

ALL Of them are the same, a endless loop was created due to changing the timeline

However after watching the next episode where Jin Gyeom's mom apparently met Oh Seok Won, watching Yoon Tae Yi from the outside of the class, I'm pretty sure that Yoon Tae Yi and Park Sun Young is two different person. Their traits are quite different too, so I think it's okay for Jin Gyeom and Yoon Tae Yi have feelings for each other. But personally, even if there are no romantic story between them, I'll still like it, since what I'm after is the story about time travel and butterfly effect.

There’s no need to make Tae yi and Sun young have the same face and confuse people about their parent/romantic relationship with Jin gyeom if they won’t end up being the same person. Another actress should have been hired to play JG mom. It’s really disturbing to watch all these romantic connection between JG and TY unfold knowing she still could potentially be his mom.

I still strongly believe she’s his mom because the writer have made it obvious so far don’t know why they’re trying to change it now. They have a lot of explaining and correction to make if that’s not the case because it wouldn’t make sense. I really like this drama and I’m so invested so it would be a shame to drop it now. Despite me feeling uncomfortable with the romantic kinda relationship between TY and JG. If it does happen I’ll just skip their scenes together and watch the rest of the drama.

In my opinion, not only have the writer-director succeeded as convincingly as humanly possible, but also they have created a profoundly original work. I mean, could you name another TV show that looks even remotely like "Alice" ? I personally couldn’t. So, congrats to the entire crew involved in this world-class drama ! And particularly to Kim Hee-Seon and Joo Won, who embody a true mother-son relationship that lives eternally across space and time.

Joy Sep 21 2020 9:03 am I don’t see the point of the character if yoon tae yi doesn’t end up being Jin Gyeom real mother and being in love with him. I mean, rather than confusing viewer and putting lots of cringy uncomfortable scene, they can just hire some other actress to potray Jin Gyeom mom, and just let he met some girl who’s behaviour remind him of her mom. That would be a perfect way to insert romance into the story rather than mother son confusing love relationship.

But I still strongly believe that Yoon Tae Yi was Ji Gyeom mom. Min Hyuk already hinting at these for several scenes already. Even alice organization admit that she was the past tae yi. The mystery is on how she got the name Park Sun Young. and the big question is, even if tae yi not ended up being Jin Gyeom mom, then who the hell is Park Sun Young, cause Min Hyuk always mentioned Tae Yi name and he don’t even know who Park Sun Young is. But the scene where young Jin Gyeom met young Tae Yi confused the hell of me. How can Tae Yi be a child while the future her already adult. I guess because she goes into the past. But when Tae Yi was in college, Jin Gyeom mom was still not old. I guess that’s where the director error where he should make Jin Gyeom mother when Jin Gyeom at the high school, to look a little bit older. Then, everything can be explained well where there are actually a huge age gap between Jin Gyeom mom and the college Tae Yi rather than to be seems in a same different group of age. It’s logical because at the time the 5-year old tae yi’s dad was killed, the future tae yi already pregnant and an adult then she decided to stay in the past where her younger self only 5 years old.

If both tae Yi are The same person it still doesn't make sense.. Coz tae yi of 2020 would've age 85 in The year 2050 unless there's a twist you know. And who is this tae yi's (2020) mom referring to? There are many dramas going over the issues of time travelling but Alice tries to provide a different perspective to this. I believe the whole plot is still unfolding...& That is what it Is truly exciting while making me look forward to the coming episodes. As well as The 2 main leads are exceptionally great. I believe others might have different ways of looking at this drama As for Jin gyeom & tae yi....if they are NOT mother & son....so be it with the loveline....but if they are really mother & son, then there’s something wrong with this drama & writer. When we add parallel universe to the equation, it'll all make sense. Also, the suspense in not being able to explain it all makes it more interesting. Let's just sit back and watch and hope it all makes sense. I'm sure it's not against reasoning, although for now, it seems a bit above it and that's because they've not revealed all we need to know.

But according to the girl in Alice ,Oh Shi Young , the 2020 Tae Yi is the past self of the Tae Yi from 2050. Not sure how they can explain this.

Too many coincidences. 2. Male lead saving female lead repeatedly. I get Tae doesn't have fighting skills and Jin is the officer, but he keeps having to come to her rescue ugh 3.Romantic moments. It's evident Tae has feelings for Jin which is wrong because they're mother and son after all! And before anyone says "they're actually not related because this Tae is from a parallel uni". Well, genetically, they're still blood. After 7 eps, I still like the show but not as much as before

They have good chemistry as mother and son but not as a romantic couple. I won't be able to stomach it not just because Kim Hee Sun is more than a decade older than Joo Won in real life but also because Tae Yi / Kim Hee Sun was introduced/established as Jin Gyeom's / Joo Won's mother early on.

I'm not shipping Joo Won and Lee Da In but her character here (Do Yeon) doesn't really annoy me because she's been providing some comic relief. I also like Lee Da In as an actress. I find her beautiful. She's even more beautiful and talented than some of the South Korean actresses who've been taking on lead roles. I hope she'll also be given a big break soon and offered lead roles.

Speaking of which, this drama gives me "The King: Eternal Monarch" & "Tunnel" vibes. If you like this one, I totally recommend those 2 for you. I binge watched 6 episodes of "Alice" in a day, it was THAT good. Glad to see more sci fi dramas coming out of Korea.We know Jin doesn't care about who his father is, but I'm interested in when they'll reveal to both Jin & Minhyuk, their biological relationship. Also, would like to learn more about the prophecy & see Jin time travel more.

Why? Because that's more logical to him. He wants to find the murderer of his mom first plus he has a slight brain handicap where he can't really recognise his emotions as a normal person can.

I just find her look cute to act like that cuz it means she cares about him. Adorable

The above lyrics is referring to Jin Gyeom and Tae Yi. When people write comments like "this drama is about incest. Ewww", it's not only immature, but it's belittling an otherwise meaningful, deep and spectacular drama. You can tell a lot of work was invested into the production. It is visually spectacular with a stellar cast and interesting storyline.

Remember, romance is not the focal point of the story. Jin Gyeom's mother chose her son over Alice and her lover Min Yuk. For Jin Gyeom, no one is more important to him than his mother (not even his dad, which is evident in episode 6).

None of us can for sure tell what will happen between Jin Gyeom and Professor Yoon Tae Yi, but there will be love. This love is deeper than your typical romance that eventually fades over time. It's the type of love that allows you to say "We ride or die; We tight we fine". And I can assure you the scriptwriters will not give us incest love. And I'm so grateful Joo Won and Hee Sun played the roles of Jin Gyeom and Yoon Tae Yi. They are brilliant performers and artists!

(that kid who holds that piece of paper from that mysterious book) Then after giving birth to Jin Gyeom she chose to be Park Sun Young and then die on 2010. When she died, she told Jin Gyeom that when he meet her in the future to please pretend that they don't know each other, which pertains to the YTY 2020. Also, JG is meant to be born on 2050 not 1992. And lastly if you can remember that the book states that when the mother and child reunites, the child?(correct me if I'm wrong) would be able to control time. It happened but unintentionally, this was during their first meeting in 2020(when JG was crossing the street and hit by a truck) and the latest was when he also met an accident and be able to go back in 2010.

I hope my theories are same to those non shippers. Cause what they feel is just a motherly love not romantic love.

Like what they said in ep 5, if you were before and traveled to the past to warn yourself... will your present self be healed or the one from your past self will have his own future in another parallel universe which is also you, but not exactly the same as the you in your present.

Of course Tae Yi might think she's starting to like him but for Jin Gyeom, I doubt he'll ever like her, especially once they find out that she's her mom's past self. He only wants to protect her because even though he says Tae Yi and his mom are different people, he still thinks they're the same. Besides, the shows isn't even implying a loveline, people around them just think that way because their characters' ages are close and people don't know they're biological relation.

Also, Do Yeon is annoying. She's acting like a possessive girlfriend when she's just a friend. The only good thing about her is that she's sometimes helpful to Jin Gyeom when he's investigating. Otherwise, Do Yeon's character will be just an annoying and useless "friend" of Jin Gyeom.

I was shipping Tae yi and Jin gyeom when I first saw the cast of this drama but she’s his mom so it’s really weird that people still want them in a romantic relationship. She probably changed her name to sun young because she wanted to stay in past to give birth to her son and another Tae yi was already existing in that timeline.

She also knows that’s she crosses path with her son in 2020 that’s why she told him to ignore her in the future.

For other people, I think because that actually their real age even in the future that doesn’t make them change appearance. Besides, it I’m not mistaken, I think eun su mom used some devices to changer her appearances.

So basically there will be no old version of Tae Yi because the current one goes to future and went back to past and died there while the current one will go to future and there’s the end line for them.

Omg, while writing this, I figured will the history repeat itself ? Means will the present tae yi goes to the future and met min hyuk and have jin gyeom and ended up being killed ? Oh no....

So that means there are 2 Taeyi(s) living on 1990’s right? but this kinda confused me. i understand there is possibility 2 same person could live in the same year but aint they will be having any physical changes? if you watch the episodes where the Eunsu’s mom from future came back to 2020. All the grey hair turn black and she looks younger from the future version. but why all the physical changes arent happen on the other people such as the boy who killed his big brother, taeyi and jingyeom.

whatever the reason, taeyi and sunyoung are the same person. still any loveline between these two are not acceptable. even if the present tae-yi isn’t aware of his own son but still jingyeom is her son and they are blood related. but the genre is romance so???? idk but the love story between taeyi and jingyeom should not exist or else they shouldnt shoot this in korea, just go to alabama

Joo Won's acting is excellent as always and so does Kim Hee Sun. One thing for sure, Yoo Min Hyuk is Jin Gyeom's father and they shared the same personality traits (or they have the same illness). I actually hope there's no love line between Jin Gyeom and Professor Tae Yi because it will hella weird if he end up fall in love with her. Do Yeon is more suitable to be Jin Gyeom's love interest. Of course the current 'Yoon Tae Yi' is not his mother but she and Sun Young are probably the same person. In fact, Jin Gyeom was not supposed to be born in '92. He is the child of Tae Yi and Min Hyuk from the future. However, it kinda confused me though how can two 'Tae Yi' exist in the same world and the identity of the little girl in the beginning is still a mystery. She could be Prof. Tae Yi. ALICE is quite a confusing drama but it's a nice one. I can't wait for Min Hyuk to find out that Jin Gyeom is his son. I'm still pissed off that he chose Alice over his lover and his son. He need to repay their suffering by helping out Jin Gyeom

Because Taeyi (Professor) is born in 88-89 which means at the time when the JinGyeom's mother (which I also presume to be Taeyi the professor) travels to 1992, she would be only around 3 years old. But the girls who lost her father looked at least 5. Is this the writer's mistake?

Another theory of mine is, that when JG's mother (1st Taeyi) decided to stay in 1992, she will live together with her child self in a same world. And the world (parallel world) where she came from doesn't have any Taeyi now. But the current world now has two Taeyi and one got killed in 2010 as JG's mom. And the child Taeyi is now all grown up and a professor in 2020.

Can't wait for the upcoming episodes to explain all these XD

It’s just that she’s still didn’t discover time travel and doesn’t go into the future yet. When she discover time travel, she went into the future (or maybe founded alice) then met min hyuk. Then get pregnant and stay in the past. Meaning that the real time she come from is actually 2020 but had to stuck in the 1990’s due to all the radiation whatsoever and then raising jin gyeom and lastly murdered by the broker organization lead by the director. That’s my theory.

But after latest teaser, I noticed Jin Gyeom went back into 2010 and met college student Tae Yi but at the same time went home to met her mother ? So it means that there’s two Tae Yi exist at the same time and overlapped each other during 2010. The young college student, (the real present Tae Yi) and the one from the future that stuck in the past ? So they are still the same person right ? Because I noticed everyone in the Alice organization mentioning Tae Yi name, not the mother’s name.

This indicates that this woman is observing everything. Maybe she is the one who make the Book of Prophecy and she is the one who give the book to his Father. But the questions are (1) how can she be in one scene with Eun Soo' mother? Doesn't Eunsoo Mother only have contact with Alice and another agency which is Tae-Yi is not already there? (2) If there is really the third Tae-Yi, where does she come from? Before she is having Jin-Gyeom?

The Girl Who Sees Smells, Reunited Worlds (Into the World Again), and this among possible others... conclusion: this director really likes his fantasy, time travel, and whatnot and is really trying to warm South Korea to it with lots of popular stars even though they rarely get great local reception. Go big or go home, though-he's here again. I hope it works this time. I really liked Tomorrow with You (the subway that let the lead travel to his future place, bring stuff back to the current day, and make money forecasting what would happen because he'd seen it happen and who got into some trouble because of his fancy future shoe "prototypes" and "in development" ramen his mother in law happened to fall madly in love with, whoops)... This would be great to put on Netflix, hint hint. Your foreign audiences are quite receptive to this and Netflix has the $ to make it beautiful like they have with My Country, Vagabond, etc.

I adore Kim Hee Sun. She's enigmatic to try keeping it to a single word description. I love that she's playing the genius physicist.
