hot guy with humor beats hot guy. in this case, i mean the both of them. oguri shun's character tries to be serious, but delivers some of the funniest scenes. i like his character in this drama better than, say, hana kimi. yoshitaka yuriko's cracky voice is adorable. her pitch changes from one word to the next. her whine is killer!

oguri looks so damn good wearing and playing anything. the love-line between oguri and yoshitaka won me over. the drama is surprisingly hilarious, repeating the same gags that will definitely stick to you. i'm expecting a season 2.

This was one of the funniest drama's I've seen. Kept me laughing almost every episode. Oguri Shun's character reminds me of Sousuke Sagara from "Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu"

I never imagined this drama was so good! For real, I haven't seen such an addicting drama for a long time. Oguri Shun's acting really shocked and impressed me. Totally different - in a great way - from Hana Kimi. The serious expression on his face makes me laugh so far and love him so much. The actor who played Maruo was also great. Everyone in this drama, actually, pleased me with their performance. I haven't finished the drama yet but I'm dying to! It's exciting, hilariously funny, not cheesy but quite touching at some places, and very quick-paced. I love this kind!

wow so many shun oguri fans, I like him too and he was really funny and hot, really composed and totally believable as a cop, but still I was head over hills with hiro, or better say marou
yes hiro's acting was, is exaggerated, but that's what funny and cute about him. Marou was supposed to be that kind of guy, so he played him perfectly, so perfectly that I am in love with a fictional character. He's sweet, nice, cool, funny, great friend, and what girl wouldn't love the attention he paid to Yuki chan. He even got beaten up trying solve a case alone, just to let Yuki chan talk to Sou. And even though he loved her, he still pushed Sou to go to her, since he wanted her happiness the most. Seriously, Marou is the best (and Hiro is just too hot)
Marou and Sou, or Shun and Hiro as a pair were really cool, I like seeing that kind of comradeship, really cool. I wish they could co-star again together...

    masked_alice Says:

well tokyo dogs certainly exceeded my expectations. after many months of not having any new doramas to interest me i was pretty without much hope for this one...but surprisingly, as i've already said, i had a lot of fun. oguri shun's character is extremely charming, i fell in love with him in the first episode=)
and contrary to all probability i adored his haircut. i was also excited to have hiroki narimiya appear as a villain in the first episode (i'm a niromiya fan, he's soooo hot!!!).

in terms of the other characters, hiro's in the beginning annoyed me, his acting was somewhat exaggerated, to much yelling for instance. however, throughout the dorama i found him cuter, i even came to like him as much as sou...an oposition to sou, ever so stoic(i can't forgive for the ending...the yuki part). and as for yuki, all i have to say is that i sympathize with the actress. the humor parts in tokyo dogs were pretty good, sou's attempt at a joke was hilarious, as was his mother calling all the time.

anyhow, for those of you who haven't seen tokyo dogs, i recommend watching it!

    ImaniRine Says:

THis drama is so good but I'm having trouble waiting for the last episde because half of me wants So ( which by the way is my favorite male Japanese name, since After School Nightmare) anyway, and Yuki to get to together at the end but the other half wants me to have her keep her hands to herself.
Aww... its a drama, and all's well that end ends well. Sort of,
P.S. Shun don't get shot. Hiro stay sexy.

    LinWei Says:

Ha, this is a really good one, I thought it will be going down the unnecessary 'Idol' path, but after watching the 1st episode, lots of humour were added into it.

Shown me a different side to Oguri Shun's acting. As usual, Mizushima Hiro is... So exaggerative in his acting.
