Song Geu-Rim (Kim So-Hyun) works as an assistant radio program writer. Her mother became blind when Song Geu-Rim was 14-years-old. Afterwards, she listened to the radio frequently with her mother. This led Song Geu-Rim to become a radio program writer, but she isn't exactly talented in writing. Her radio program DJ (U-Kwon) suddenly leaves Korea and Song Geu-Rim loses her job at the radio broadcasting station. Meanwhile, PD Lee Gang (Yoon Park) comes back to Korea from India. Sometimes he acts insane, but he is generally good at his job. Lee Gang suggests to Song Geu-Rim that if she can cast Ji Soo-Ho (Yoon Doo-Joon) as the DJ of their new radio program, she can work as the main writer of their radio program. Ji Soo-Ho is a top actor. He and his parents look perfectly happy, but in fact they are only acting as a happy family. Ji Soo-Ho suffers from depression and he can't sleep without taking sleeping pills.

Song Geu-Rim keeps approaching Ji Soo-Ho to take the DJ position, but he refuses. With Song Geu-Rim's enthusiastic and genuine approach, Ji Soo-Ho accepts.

The story is good and easy. Great acting of all of the cast, nice music and i found the chemistry between the leads perfect!! Kim So Hyun is an amazing actress, she really is very sweet, cute but also has great acting skills. First time i saw Yoon Doo Joon on screen and to me he is a superb actor. Elegant and Handsome too! I loved this drama! I recommend to watch it if you are looking for something not complicated and a nice romantic story. A huge fan from Belgium ??

apple pie May 23 2021 4:06 am I find it funny that Kim So-Hyun only have a 3 year age gap with Nam Da-Reum (the male lead's younger version), but have a 10 year age gap with the male lead. However I still found the pairing of So-Hyun and Do-Joon cute. The drama could've had a better casting but still worth watching tho!

Aya May 23 2020 8:41 am This drama was cute and there were a lot of moments I enjoyed, unfortunately there was something that didn't work in this drama and it's something that can't really be overlooked. Kim So Hyun was definitely miscast in this drama. Casting an 18 year old to play someone in her late 20s was a mistake. Don't get me wrong, Kim So Hyun is a wonderful actress and she did well in the role, but no amount of acting skill can make her feel a decade older, especially since her looks are very youthful. And while there is some chemistry with Doo Joon, it's not enough to carry a romance drama. It seems like an unfortunate trend in the last couple of years: Kim Sae Ron, Kim Yoo Jung, Yeo Jin Goo and Kim So Hyun. They are all wonderful young actors who have proven time and again how talented they are and it's nice to see their popularity soar, but at the same time seeing them act opposite actors more than a decade older seems a bit off. The chemistry is not present, which makes it more difficult to immerse in the story. I hope this trend doesn't continue. I know that casting popular actors is good for publicity, but people won't waste their time watching a drama that doesn't work.

People who expect something deep and without cliche, this drama is not for you. As every romantic comedy this drama has cliche parts. I am astonished how they managed to make from simple ordinary plot a trendy drama. Storyline is simple, yet has meaningful messages. I think one of the reasons many people were hooked on this drama is the chemistry between main leads, I personally find it really explosive. I like the way they showed how gradually their feelings to each other developed, it's neither fast, nor slow.

Bts Jul 05 2018 3:18 pm This drama was simple and refreshing. I loved the female lead,she was likeable from the start. The male lead grows on you too but Lee gang stole the show for me. I loved that they didn’t portray the second lead as a villainous jerk even though he was in love with female lead as they do in most shows. The storyline was simple with well placed and not over the top conflicts. The script did get a little slow after the first 10 episodes but they managed to finish it off well. I would have liked if they had focused more on the radio show than the character’s personal stories. Overall a good shows with lots of cute moments and a good chemistry between the lead couple.

vtae Jul 02 2018 7:30 am I always admire characters that resolve conflicts without betraying themselves, and without creating too much damage: there was plenty of that in this drama, to the point that some found it boring. Most characters didn't go off their rails at a conflict. I liked that. Song Geu Rim especially fit the bill in terms of what we want in a modern female romantic lead: sensitive, resolved, competent and grounded.

Honey Jun 21 2018 9:31 am I Loved this drama, just finished and I fell in love with it from the 1st ep it was so warm and sweet and sad the pain Ji So had.. my heart ached. This is an amazing drama with amazing acting, it should've gotten higher ratings. The way the story progressed was perfect it was not rushed and it didn't have that overload of romantic melodrama stuff. It was so sweet!!!!!

deck Jun 11 2018 2:34 pm i love the story esp the scene in the school about the kid who's waiting for his friend and he doesn't want to graduate. this scene made me cry a lot :( i don't know why. i also love the qoute where ji soo ho said that "Not because we are not crying doesn't mean youre not sad, just like smiling doesn't mean you're happy". I love that qoute :)

PSJisLove May 22 2018 10:48 pm I really like Kim So Hyun's acting here. And Yoon Doo Joon is so handsome. He resembles Kim Rae Won and Jin of BTS for me. I also like Tae Ri and Joon Woo's love team too. The Plot of this drama is nice, but I find it a little bit boring in some episodes that I fast forwarded it. Their story when they were young is a must watch too.

Both actors and actressess gave me a ride of emotions. They portray their roles very well. This might get you inspired lol. Honestly it become a roller coaster of emotions because of the plot and made me cried and laugh...For those who mostly like romantic comedy and a simplistic warm drama i think you will like this :)

Jisuho who can't even cry finally cry at once..Doo joon know how to act for first time cry for not over cry...Jisuho who can't really angry or dont know how to angry at first finally angry, doo joon know how to control his emotion to not over/really angry and control his voice no need to lound so he just potray more deep emotion when his angry we can just see and hear through his tone voice and eyes that his really disppointed...i like his style in acting as Jisuho who has trouble in expressing verbally and you can feel Suho emotion through doojoon's eyes that's a talent.

Not only them but other actors too. Like KSH said in interview YDJ is an actor whom she could have good chemistry with and she hope to collaborate with him again in future. I hope that will come true girl with the drama that can impress K-netizen heart..The BGM it was so good. Tq music director for the such good and healing BGM.

The drama not a typical K-drama plot you can watch it comfortably. Although for me this it not the best drama but you can still enjoy it. All the cast it's really good. They portray their character perfectly. The couple is so lovely and sweet. Although not so over skinship but you can feel their love only by stare, their eye contact, their smile.The massage/quote in this drama really meaningful it's can inspire your life.The drama which is can warm your heart..^^ The drama which is i can rewatch it over and over.

The lesson to be learnt here is that everyone is flawed in their own ways but love is never perfect to begin with. A true korean romance drama just like it should be.

shruti Mar 23 2018 6:29 am this drama broke all the stereotypes of silly drama tropes...the heart of this show is SGR-JSH with their simple love story...this is a drama about an imperfect but mature couple & the many broken people around them...the simplicity of the story is its best feature coz it never distracts from the OTP at any point...tons of cute & heart for this one...loved every min of it...

nancy Mar 23 2018 5:30 am Actor's are good or we can say that whole Cast was best. But storywise it receives low rating. Because of its simplicity. I like Jin tae ri and Ajusshi love angle as best part of the drama. One thing I definitely want to say that I'm hurt watching woo ji woo story. His friend kind a betrayed him. That pained me So much. woo ji woo was terminally ill he just wanted to confess his feelings once to her beacause he doesn't have too much time left. (I know writer show in positive way that woo ji woo not hurt by his friends act but how it's possible to not hurt ).

icon Mar 22 2018 7:02 am I loved this drama so much..the feels were strong through the entire show and it also touched on many important points about emotional scars, guilt, bad parenting etc. The show heals you in the same way Geu Rim healed Su Ho by just being there for him no matter how messy things got. A great character driven show with lots of cute moments. I would call it a must watch on any given day. p.s. - If I had a dollar for every time Love Scenario played in this show. Someone must be a fan and I support that someone.

Nie09 Mar 22 2018 1:47 am I love! Love! love! This drama so MUCH! that it's hard for me to accept that it's already over T^T. Yoon Doo-Joon such a great actor! I have known him as a goofy and funny person but his acting here was so charismatic and cool and he portrayed it very well!..And Kim So Hyun not only she have an enchanting beauty but also did an amazing job on her role as an adult. I was so Surprise that she is only 20yrs old!! For me, I noticed that she is "the only" young actress who took an adult role and act so mature and look so mature at the same time... she never exaggerated her acting and just did naturally--her style was so fluent. The other cast did really good too!! Yura, to be honest, her acting improved! Yoon Park and Kwak dong yeon, their roles made the drama interesting. Radio Romance such a Wondeful healing drama!.I Enjoyed it very Much!! I will surely rewatch this again!

LIGHT Mar 20 2018 8:54 am Now that the drama is over, I figure people will come here to check for the reviews and ratings. No spoilers. So, on the top of my head:

- This is a romance drama. Don't expect complicated plots that are usually incorporated into KDramas.

- Yes, there's a significant age gap between the leads but they have one of the most perfect chemistry I've seen!

- It's surprisingly not that cliche. I mean, if you'll end up watching this, you'll appreciate how realistic they portrayed relationships. The simple things you do, the things you talk about, the things you share with your SO. And for the most, I really love how level headed Song Geu Rim (KSH) is. And at how honest and hardworking Ji Soo Ho (YDJ) is despite being in a position like that.

- The ratings are bad but don't let that stop you from watching this underrated drama. Of course they'll be awkward for the first few episodes. They're still building the story and the characters!

- I appreciate how the writers used the supporting characters. How each of their characters progressed and changed. You'll see what I mean. :)

- The cast and production did a really good job. This is a drama I watched religiously for the past 2 months and I wish there was more. Light, not over the top, heartwarming and full of romantic scenes! It made me smile a lot of times. From the characters, I kind relate to JSH in a way. So yeah, RR will always have a special place in my heart.

Hope Doo Joon and So Hyun will get to work together again. I really love them both!

I'm not sure what country you all come from but we drive at 16 here, we're allowed to drink at 16 too but you have to be 18 to get into clubs/pubs. Maybe it isn't her age that you all don't like it,sounds like it's her in general. Her acting is always on point, she's the reason I came to watch this drama. My main concern was her hairstyle at the start, was that a perm?

Generally, this drama maybe has cliche storyline but the character of Ji Suho is the first character that Dujun has ever get. Contrary to his real life character, he did good. I only have praises for him as he is still growing up in acting.

And the chemistry of the actors is good. Plus, I love the behind the scenes interactions more than in drama. I recommend to watch it!

Its about how she portrayed the character. It's a ROLE, thats why she needs to be really into the character, her eyes were kinda awkward in that scene and i can tell it wasnt something she usually do like how her character is suppose to. But again, people have different views, different opinions. But KSH doesnt reach my expectation in this drama.

And to be honest, she doesn't look that young either. I've seen actresses older than her who look way younger. I think the role suits her really well.

He is just selfish person that betray his friend by intercept his letter to SGR. And when his friend cant out from the room because of his sickness thats when he start to take over Woo Ji Woo places and the reason he intercept the letter. I hope when SGR know the truth she leave JSH and back to LG.

Especially, Yoon Doo Joon makes my heart beat the whole episodes. I have never known him before but m so in love with him now. The chemistry between both leads are so good that I keep wishing for more. I don’t think the next 4 episodes will be enough for me. M asking for more though I know it is impossible. The previous one when the boy don't like to graduate because he was waiting for his friend to return. I like /love the story and the cast. Oh YDJ, I love how he looks at KSH and that sharp gaze at YP whenever he puts his hands on KSH, hahaha, the jealousy! KSH is a good actress, they have chemistry even with that age gap. Love the other casts too. KDY and all the others. There are really good kdramas but underrated and this is one of them..

JKS Feb 25 2018 9:46 am Dramas are all about preferences. You can dislike and drop it but please, at least lay out some arguments first and explain why. Maybe there's a lot of cliche in it, but that's okay because there's a lot of different and unique moments from this drama as well. For one, mental health issues. This is the one that I most appreciate from this drama. YDJ is doing a great job! Another, being an adult in the real world, for ie KSH's role. Call it cliche but not everyone is as well adjusted as "you". Can't someone be naive and nice? Be dedicated and hardworking plus honest? Hope that others consider leaving out a substantial comment/review for the drama. :)

The male lead's gaze is no joke. I can sense what message that the writer want to deliver through this drama: the warmness of radio for visually impaired people, people who can't express their felling, etc.

LIGHT Feb 14 2018 5:41 am The story development and character progression is good. I like how they are pacing the drama. It's not too slow IMO. They're trying to make the viewers understand the characters first. And about the age gap, it's not entirely bothering, since they're technically both of legal age and that their chemistry is so nice and overwhelming. Just Doo Joon's stares and gazes alone are so powerful.

I have a lot of questions though because of EP5 and 6. Who's sending those threats? Is Jason the bad guy? Is Su Ho really nothing but a business tool for his parents? Anyway, the story of the kid on EP6 made me cry. Don't worry kid, even adults, for the most, aren't honest enough to themselves.

Even me, the first time I read about the cast, I was pessimistic about the age gap. And then, watching the first 4 episodes, I totally forgot about it. KSH, Doojoon and Yoon Park do really have a good chemistry. I can't wait to see the development of this triangle love. And yes, like some other people, I'm already having a second main lead syndrome haha. I think that's the strength of KSH (the Queen of chemistry haha) and for all her fans, I think people should understand that's acting and assuming this kind of character regardless who her partner will be is to demonstrate her skills as an actress and professional. I don'the think she was forced as I've read before. She's a smart girl and she knows what is she doing. So, let's just enjoy the drama watching at the character instead of the actress because she's already hooking us in it.

Anyway, I hope each character will be developed more soon and the storyline will get better so the production won't waste an amazing cast like "Ruler: Master of the mask, MBC" (KSH previous project with Seung-Ho). So fighting!

I do like their acting bec they resonate the characters they are trying to portray. You may not be able to relate to them, but you can empathize easily. The ratings aren't high, for now, but we can only hope that it gets higher. I don't watch dramas based on ratings but for sure, the production and the actors will be very delighted if it is a double digit.

A wonderful main and supporting cast - I look forward to The story and romance unfolding. I love a straight up love story based on fate, circumstances and family dynamics. I can’t help but feel the main’s blind mother knows Soo Ho. I’m so curious as to how he knew where she lives.

I got to say, looking at Soo Ho (Doo Joon's character) reminded me so much of a friend with depression. The demeanor of someone drowning and in a lonely place, yet unable to tell a single soul, because it's not that easy. Sigh. But anyway, hope viewers will give this a chance and consider taking a serious look at the message it'll try to convey.

But episode 2 was really good and I think that it's getting more interesting now that more characters are being shown. I believe that this drama will be more interesting each episode. There's still so much eps for the development of the story and I do hope it will not disappoint us. I recommend you to try watching this. If you find it boring at first watch then at least give a second chance till it develops into a really great drama. So Hyun really did a great job portraying her character. She's actually hilarious and so as the other actors (Kwak Dong Yeon and Yoon Park tho ^.^). P/S: I love So Hyun and Doo Joon's chemistry here.

Did not expect that coming- the girl Geurim was a bad ass! Her acting is unique. What I like about This drama is that it’s not only help a person get away from depression but also help people with visual impaired. Not because i love KSH and either in the male lead. The drama is really something. This drama is amazing. First episode is amazing too. I can't wait for ep 2. I really recommend to watch this. It gives me butterflies in my tummy.. Hahahahahha. To all haters please stop it. You're wasting your time too. Kim so hyun is amazing actress. And the male too. And all cast are amazing. And there are so much more to look forward to. Hope this drama went well. I love this drama so much!

I like how she manage to get along with the other RR cast so fast- an amiable person. She definitely picked the nice team cast for her new drama. I'm happy seeing her having fun and enjoying her work. Best wishes for the Radio Romance Drama and all the Cast. There are so much more to look forward to!!

I've been liking their oppa-dongsaeng relationship irl (through a cf, interacting in twitter, and doojoon doing a cameo in LFG). I'm so excited because they'll finally gonna have a romantic drama tgt. Sohyun is already legal and she is mature for her age and don't forget that she's the chemistry princess, so I'm not worried at all because I know that she and doojoon will have a great chemistry tgt. And I think they are going to be comfortable working with each other since they are quite close already. I hope Sohyun accepts the offer. Gooodluck to this 'healing love' drama!
