Set in the 1970's, prior to the first North Korea-South Korea summit in South Korea.
Sung-Geun (Sul Kyung-Gu) is a stage actor who is so passionate about his work. He only plays small characters. When his son Tae-Sik (Park Hae-Il) was young, he admired his father, but he now thinks of his father as a burden. Sung-Geun is soon to selected to play a double for North Korean dictator Kim Il-Sung.
Notes
- Filming began March 26, 2014 at a small theater in Namwon, Jeollabuk Province, South Korea. The first scene filmed involved Sung-Geun (Sul Kyung-Gu) cleaning the seats at a theater and admiring the main actor on stage.
- Filming finished July 8, 2014 in Changsin Neighborhood, Seoul, South Korea. The last scene filmed involved Tae-Sik (Park Hae-Il) and Yeo-Jung (Ryoo Hye-Young) talking in a car. Yeo-Jung holds an unrequited love for Tae-Sik.
