Yoon Jung-Hyuk (Lee Jong-Suk) is a smart and handsome college student, majoring in engineering. He is loved by many of the college girls. When Yoon Jung-Hyuk nurses his sick girlfriend he meets Lee Shin-Ye. Through his relationship with Lee Shin-Ae (Jeon Ik-Ryung), Yoon Jung-Hyuk grows as a man and learns what true love is.

Jillibean Aug 16 2025 1:18 pm This drama special tells the story of a woman named Lee Shin Ae (Jeon Ik Ryeong), dying of cancer, who wants to see her life end on her own terms, but her husband Kim Ui Soo (played well by Song Young Kyu, who just died, RIP), though well meaning, does not listen to her at all: he only wants her to do what he thinks is best. She wants to go on a last family trip, for instance, so both she, her husband, and young son Daewang can be together, but he insists she go back in the hospital for more treatments, even though everyone knows she's terminal. Her deepest feelings don't seem to matter at all to him. He was obviously frightened, but the antidote to that is facing your fears, staring them down, and doing the most loving, strongest things in response, to build memories that will last forever. For some unfathomable reasons the husband doesn't seem to care about what she wants! So it's no wonder that she becomes attracted to a young man (Lee Jong Suk) who sees her as an important person, with feelings that should be listened to. Some lovely scenes occur in this drama and the characters learn some important lessons.

Saranghaeyo Nov 06 2017 12:07 am The wife could have opened to his husband that she feels like a patient, shedidn't tell her husband so the husband keeps on treating her that way to show his love, even sohaving an affair with someone isn't related to use as an excuse.I can't blame the younger guy, it should be the lady should have pushed him away even if she likes him.. In reality you couldn't have time to flirt with a younger guy... You'll die anyway so why leave a dirty life, the wife is selfish she'll die hurting people around her... The plot could have been better if both realized their mistakes..

If a person is dying she/he might not have a hint of thought of doing something filthy,let's say in reality we couldn't guard our heart in loving a person. Nevertheless you wouldn't sacrifice to flirt after all your husband did for you. In this movie the wife is just making a excuse sayin that she was treated like a patient... That thought? doesn't make sense at all. She could have resisted her feelings towards the guy and focus on her family. herhusband even told her they'll gonna go on a trip... This movie is not suitable for LJS.. His talent was wasted

Afenie123456 Jun 03 2017 3:58 pm She met her husband in the hospital and they fell in love. Thanks to him she lived almost 10 years more even had a child when she was diagnosed has dying soon. He gave her a life that was then impossible for her. He said the same words her husband did by the end of the movie ( something about taking care of her). It was an horrible plot, she hurt her husband, him (LJS), the boy's girlfriend and her child by acting the way she did. It wasnt beatifull, it was selfish. There's plenty of ways to be beautifull and be happy and it doesnt have to depend on someone else!! If she had spoken her mind whit her husband and insisted on it at the very least.

I wonder how people would react if it was a man that was having an affair before dying, while is wife was taking care of him? Would they still call it romance? Dont think so, he'd be called a bastard. I'm sick of stories that glorify affairs and calls it romance because it's a woman that has it.

Aguie May 01 2016 8:33 am Just watched it. The story ended the way I prefer it to be. It was the prettiest when rational until the end. Though painful, it was peaceful. Women are great!!!

CatSlave Apr 16 2016 12:55 am I watched this a second time and still find it beautiful... and it is realistic, too. The one thing I find tragic is that her son barely knows his mother and the husband was a nurse more than a man to her--he made it that way, though, when she longed for a real loving relationship, a union, not a caregiver. LJS+Jun Ik Ryoung both did an incredible job (so did Song Young Kyu for his lesser role)...

The way they show us how husband raised his child to live without his mother.Her husband alwys sympathise her and only lukin at her as a sick woman. .But the boy realised that despite her illness she want to treat as a woman.women are like dat.she ask for a divorce not only becoz of the afair buy also she know she hold him back from his work and life.u hv to luk at the whole picture.u cant help who u fall in luv.she wanted to last in his memory as the pretty girl that he fell in luv with.dats y she leaves and its best for the boy also coz since she dying it will b more painfull for him. True luv is lettin go whn u knw its best for the other person.that shows true luv and affection.sacrifices we make for someone to bIts so romantic how he fell in luv with her at the first sight without knwowin anything about her happy in the long run. cactually it bro

Kayla Jul 28 2013 3:45 am Well I am young and not an intense fan girl like lots of young girls but I still like actors, however in this movie I felt he was slightly lacking emotional strength in some scenes. He has improved a bit but I am looking forward to seeing his acting develop in the future.

P.s, he is a romantic which is why he enjoys these roles, but maybe he prefers older women? Not that he has a choice in who he acts with...anyway fighting oppa~

This story has nothing to do with amount of kissing or a woman being too old for your precious fangirl minds, again grow up. This is about falling in love and finding strength within that love. If you weren't all so shallow you'd understand love has NO restrictions, love is beautiful and this film really shows that. So take your head out of your fangirl clouds and enjoy the movies as a beautiful yet sad love story. Ugh people like you make me sick, seriously >.<
