Plot

One rainy day, a blind woman shelters from the rain in Eiji's shop. This is Eiji's first encounter with Miou Shirato. Recently, Eiji's 8-year old daughter Shizuku constantly wears a hood over her head and refuses to take it off. He consults Keiko Hishida, the woman who taught Eiji everything about flowers, but she doesn't have a clue about Shizuku's behavior. One day, Eiji is delivering flowers to a night club, when he comes across Naoya Kudo being accused by his colleagues. Eiji rescues Naoya from the argument and invites him to stay at his home.

amir Dec 26 2021 2:35 pm so underrated & under-radar for many jdrama lovers it's the best Jdrama if you want a drama with pure male role & slow character reveal/pace and romance .... i liked it very much.... there aren't that many dramas like this,the feeling vibe it gives is like seeing classic ones... the actors&actresses plus the kid all played wonderfully. recommend to anyone who like to cry & laugh & feel lost-innocence-in-adulthood while watching a drama

Red Kurasagi are the most evil of creatures.  Despicable.  There is a good reason they are met with revulsion and disgust in real life.  No worm can crawl lower than they do.

Which leads to a problem that I have problem with this type of reoccurring theme in many Japanese dramas.  Forgiving even the unforgivable like it is nothing. People will do the most rotten, low down, heinously evil deeds to other people.  Things that cause trauma that can never realistically be recovered from.  Harming children, even.  These things cannot be undone by saying "I'm sorry" or attempting to make amends and saying "But I really love you." And they do it for the most ignorant, most selfish reasons imaginable.

And then they end up being quickly, and apparently effortlessly, forgiven and everyone is all happy. I call B.S. Total B.S. Right around episode 8-10 it totally negated any goodwill I had towards the drama up unto that point. So in the end the result that is created is one simply too unbelievable to be enjoyed.

Which really sucks because it had some really talented cast members who did a pretty good job.

Clarkdale44 Dec 01 2013 5:13 pm Holy shit... Totally mind blowing story... I am so touched that i am glad that i spent my time on this without any skipping. Its completely worth it. Story so far is tremendously perfect. Both Shingo Katori and Yuko Takeuchi are looking greatly compatible with each other. Perfect drama for anyone who likes family/romance genre. I will give it 9.1/10
