Plot
Super cop Fong (Lau) opposes the ideology and brash lifestyle of politically motivated triad kingpin Chau (Leung). The two men face off in a number of impressively slick stunts, and mind-bogglingly original action scenes. This mimics the magnificent urban scale of American movies like De Palma's The Untouchables or Cimino's Year Of The Dragon, but with 007 style flourishes and comedic asides.
Head of an investigation team Fong Kwok-fai (Andy Lau) and his teammates, are probing into the games arcades run by Cho Chiu Sin (Tony Leung). Chou is the boss of a triad society in Taiwan, running gambling dens and colluding in government construction projects. He also schemes to redeem himself by running for Taiwan??s Nationalist Party seat. Feng successfully finds evidence to indict Chou, but the judge is bribed into ruling him innocent...
