Plot
1794 in Edo, Japan. An unidentified man insists to be a painter at a Kabuki-piture house. Just with an invented name of “Sharaku”, his works immediately gain fame and fanfare than Toyokuni, the greatest painter in Edo. Through Toyokuni’s burning envy and eye on Sharaku, the mystery of Sharaku is gradually unveiled. Always shadowed by mysterious man dressed in black, speaking a foreign language, Sharaku is caught in the act of spying on the village master who’s been building weapon factory to wage war on Korean Chosun Dynasty.
