Lee Je-Ha (Namkoong Min) followed in his father's footsteps, who was considered a master, and became a movie director. Lee Je-Ha received worldwide attention for his debut film and was called a genius, but he has been obsessed over a possible sophomore jinx. Over the past 5 years, he has not worked on anything. Deciding to end his 5 year hiatus, Lee Je-Ha begins to work on his second film. The screenplay will tell a romance story and involving someone with only a limited amount of time to live. While doing research for the movie, Lee Je-Ha meets Lee Da-Eum (Jeon Yeo-Bin). She is an aspiring actress and suffers from a rare incurable disease. She doesn't know how long she has left to live, but she is very socially and everyone in the hospital knows her. She gives advice to Lee Je-Ha for his movie and becomes interested in the script. This becomes a turning point for her as an aspiring actress. As they work on the romance movie together, Lee Je-Ha and Lee Da-Eum, who have their own illnesses, form a romantic relationship.

cheyah Dec 25 2025 10:08 am This might be my very first and last comment here in asianwiki. What can I do? This drama is just so beautiful. The first time I watched it, my conclusion was "wah that was beautiful". It might be sad ending to anyone but for me it had such a beautiful way to end that story. I watched it again today and yeah it never disappoint, I still smiled, felt the love, the sadness, and cried many times but still, it is beautiful. You see, if I were to choose between an action drama or melodrama, I would always choose action drama. But if someone were to ask me a drama recommendation, I would recommend this one. Not just because of how well written this is, but I want many people to watch and know about this drama.

Noona Dec 16 2025 7:02 pm What... a... beautiful drama! I cried so much in the last 3 episodes, I really didn't think I would. What a journey this drama takes you on. Such a good drama. Binge it on a quiet relaxing weekend when you have nothing else planned. Lovely drama!

Kdrama Llama Oct 18 2025 11:40 am Wow. This is such an incredible watch, I binged it all in two days. I enjoyed Jeon Yeo-Bin‘s performance so much, as with Miss Hong in Vincenzo (the only other show of hers I’ve seen, but not for long!), she’s not the typical female lead and has created a really special and memorable character in Daeum. The chemistry between the ML and FL was lovely and the whole vibe was a sad but ultimately transformative love story. I only finished it last night and I’m already planning a rewatch!

amjaba Oct 10 2025 7:32 am Holy Moly! This is the best 12 episode kdrama I have seen. It’s a delicate topic that is handled beautifully. The 2 leads tell a phenomenal love story. It’s cast perfectly. The side characters add so much to this story. Absolutely worth watching 10/10.

Cause I'm a huge fan of Namkoong Min but I wasn't ready for this whole different side of him and I cried a bucket. I went back to my friend to ask why she didn't advice me to get a box of tissue close by This is one of the best movies of this year and I would really want them to get awarded. Both male and female lead did absolutely beautifuy well The sadness, the healing, the time and efforts it took to heal, the accepting of the healing process while still remembering the dead with a Smile and the fact 2 of the actors died in the movie and were remembered happily......

This movie is Divine. Kudos to the writer, director, producer, actors and everybody who put in efforts to make it work

Bitter in truth, sweet in hope. It pulled me in, broke me, then slowly pieced me back together. Everyone’s acting was exceptional. dee.85 Aug 02 2025 4:50 am This is a very well-written story. It portrays sadness in such a beautiful and heartfelt way. I just finished watching it, and although I knew it would have a sad ending, it didn’t stop me from continuing. Every episode hooked me and made me want to keep watching.

The male lead (ML) and female lead (FL) were absolutely outstanding. They portrayed their characters so beautifully — truly amazing actors. Their micro-expressions were incredible, making the characters feel so real. The cinematography was perfect, and the soundtrack was deeply moving.

The ratings may not be very high, possibly because this isn’t your typical K-drama. From the beginning, we know the story centers around a terminally ill patient, which often implies a sad ending. But for me, the sadness was only a small part of the entire journey. What truly captivated me was the storytelling — from beginning to end, it was meaningful, emotional, and unforgettable. This drama is a masterpiece. The story, the cast, the stunning cinematography, and the music — everything brought the narrative to life.

For those who are hesitant to watch because of the ending, I highly recommend giving it a try — at least the first episode. It’s absolutely worth watching.

Congratulations to the entire team, and thank you for creating such a beautiful piece of work.

You would agree with me that this movie deserve lots of award, it’s my personal best. Wow such a wonderful screenplay. I knew I was going to be sad at the end of the movie. But damn!!! It was a bitter sweet experience. Something I haven’t felt in years. Such a great exceptional and beautiful masterpiece. I understand how much efforts the directors actors and everyone would have put into this movie to make it so emotionally intruiging. It takes a lot of work. Kudos to you all. A little bit of every emotion. I fear the ratings are low since this aired on Hulu and I just happened to come across it, I didn’t see much promo for it. But worth every hour I sat watching. Highly recommended. I hope it can go to Netflix or Viki soon so others can binge too.

The story is so beautifully written, the cinematography feels like poetry, and the slow-burn romance? It’s everything. Every scene is soaked in emotion and depth. The chemistry between the leads — I don’t care what anyone says — is breathtaking to me. They have my whole heart, and I know… I know they will end up breaking it.

  I originally planned to wait until all the episodes were out, but I couldn’t help myself — and now I wait every week, counting days, holding my breath. I know the ending might be painful, but I still have hope. Hope for a miracle. Because sometimes, even the most heartbreaking stories deserve a soft landing. And I believe this one just might give us that — or destroy us in the most beautiful way.
  Nam Goong Min, once again, proves why he’s one of the finest. Every expression, every pause — it hits. This drama is my comfort and my heartbreak, all at once. A true gem.

It's like the old-fashioned, dreamy, inspirational, romantic Korean dramas I watched when I first became addicted to them in 2006, like the unforgettable Four Seasons' dramas! Today so many of these dramas have dark themes and I simply will Not watch those dramas. I want to watch stories that leave me with a good feeling, knowing that I didn't waste my time watching them.

I understand that people have different point of view and taste in dramas but I hope you see the greatness of this masterpiece. This drama was so touching to the point that I can feel their emotions and pain. Please support all the casts and spread positivity through out the airing... At first I didn't know this would be so entertaining and I don't regret watching this...

Deekshha Jul 06 2025 7:32 pm Ep 8 the ending was beautifully done. I have this soft spot for Korean melodrama and the scene was beautifully done. With the whole scene from black and white room to seeing the sunset and Namkoong Min running to Jeon Yeo Bin I was so impressed. The dialogues on that particular scene so well written. Only Namkoong Min could deliver those dialogues the way he did.

She's kind of a villain in the story --- but not a full villain. After all, if she wants to be with him again all she has to do is wait till the tragic death of her opponent occurs - right? Although --- maybe not. Maybe he will be so forever changed by the death that he won't be able to look at any other woman ever again. Personally, I would Love it if a cure could be found and the death could be prevented. Not sure that is how it will end but -- it Is a possibility! Right?

Another way to identify an OST on there is to copy and paste the Hangul title for the drama you're interested in on their search engine. Often it doesn't come up if you try the English title but if you use Hangul there it is! I have found *many* obscure drama OSTs that way. :)

One of the most valuable lesson here is living and dying with dignity I think that's what I learned from here. Still excited the next more episodes

The lovely cinematography in the drama is also reminding me of the Four Seasons' dramas and Love Rain, all with the same director. It's been a long time since I've seen a drama with similar poetic themes.

It starts out slower to set up the story beautifully and really starts to pick up the pace in episode 2. Each scene is one to relish over vs just rushes through. It explores many aspects of the movie industry and life even in just 2 episodes. I can’t wait to watch the rest (and will surely rewatch each one over and over)
