Shigeru Urushizaki (Sadawo Abe), whose wife died a long time ago, lives with his teenage daughter Niko Urushizaki (Mana Ashida). Shigeru Urushizaki lives a very unhealthy lifestyle. He enjoys junk food, alcohol, and cigarettes. Despite complaints about the toxic environment in his body, the cells in his body work hard to function correctly. Meanwhile, Niko Urushizaki is busy with her high school studies and doing housework at home. She is worried about her father's unhealthy lifestyle. Unlike her father, Niko Urushizaki tries to live a healthy lifestyle. Inside her body, various cells including red blood cell AE3803 (Mei Nagano) and white blood cell U-1146 (Takeru Satoh) work hard day and night to protect her health and enjoy what they are doing. However, pathogens begin to move and aim to invade their bodies.
