Jo Deul-Ho (Park Shin-Yang) worked as a prosecutor and then he worked as a lawyer. He is now unemployed.

Park Shin-Yang suddenly felt pain in his waist and numbness in his left leg during a meeting on January 22, 2019. He was diagnosed with a herniated disk and underwent surgery for this problem on January 23, 2019. Because of the injury and surgery, ep.13, which was originally scheduled to air on Monday, January 28, 2019, will air two weeks later on Monday, February 11, 2019.

shakil ahmed Apr 05 2021 4:20 am didn't like it as much i like season one.. watch 10 episode and give. the lawyer Jo dose seems like same personality from season 1. in season one he was more smart lawyer and more of violence and will do anything for justice but in this season it feel like he's someone new.. give up so easily. and it don't that humor like first season.. got boring too quickly.. and no return of his wife, daughter or his team mate noting.. and we have same bad guy from season one playing different bad guy.. no... didn't work for me. going back to re-watch season one it's more interesting

Bazzic May 16 2020 1:03 am At first, I was very surprise when discovered that somehow our local tv broadcast decided to air the season 2 of the series instead of season 1 because I thought that this will be the sequel of the ss1 and I wouldn't understand the original plot. But to my surprise, season 2's plot didn't relate to the story of ss1 and I can enjoy it normally without watching the ss1. Overall, the season 2 to me was a success. Good plot, excellent and structured writing, great acting, especially Ko Hyun-Jung madness laugh and facial expression somewhat give me Joker's vibe. Also, spectacular film filter in every scene and the way they catch the lighting in the shot, it's so professional, beautiful and extraordinary than every TV K-Dramas I have ever seen, so I will give the production team of the film a huge praise for that. This season 2 deserve to be consider as a standalone movie, not a sequel

General review: Worth to watch

Cryst Nov 23 2019 8:43 pm Imo, the storyline is good and as a lawyer drama, i think it was well written too. The casts did a great job too. PSY portrayed his character well like in S1 and his partner, LMJ too. KHJ was fantastic in her role too and she was really suitable as Ja Gyung! KHJ on many occasions reminded me of Mishil as their personalities and habits were v much sinilar, just that Ja Gyung was a present day version of Mishil. I liked her secretary as well. Also, I really liked KHJ’s and JHR’s outfits here. Most were really pretty especially the coats they wore haha. I understand that many were disappointed that the original casts were not in and that this drama wasn’t a continuation of S1. But if you watch S2 plainly just as a drama itself, it’s quite good of a drama. As it is, the story is exciting and makes you think a lot. It wasn’t straightforward neither was it hard to understand. A good balance on that and also on the bad and good people in the drama. I think its unfair for one of the users below to say that Ja Gyung and her secretary were evil. I mean the people who were more evil were the one involved in the Daesan Welfare Centre - illegal organ transplants and sending away innocent lives. Those people deserved death tbh. There also dramas that had even more cruel characters who killed/harmed people like there was no law. At least this was kinda realistic as the evil doers had to pay for their sins! I mean if you can’t take all these in, then don’t watch kdramas lol cos most of them are like that. KHJ acted well as well. She really portrayed her role well - traumatised from her past and being like a psychopath as a result. Overall, it was a good drama - if you watched it wo a mindset of S1 and prejudice.

I haven't seen this one but reading some negative comments here, I'd still watch it because of him! He's one of the best/great actors in Korea! fighting and hope to see you back in a romance/comedy like LIP! all the best to you & stay healthy! aja aja fighting!

abdi saverio May 08 2019 6:41 pm My Lawyer, Mr. Jo season 2 can be good scenario. Too dark and unbelievable, if anyone yet watch season 1. I was watch both season, and disappointed because season 2 leave success formula season 1. I watched all episode season 2 because Jo Deul-Ho.

Elaine Gomez Mar 20 2019 8:59 pm The first neighborhood... was so much better, it was very funny and you wont really hate the evil characters, but this sequel has nothing in relation to the first., this is so dark, that I really hated the evil duo, in fact I want them to die in the end, they deserve a heinous end. It's not that I symphatize to those they killed, but the way they do it is so hideous, they even killed a prosecutor just because he is getting in their way.

I bet I will not be watching any drama where that 2 actresses wii be in.

It is as good as any lawyer drama, but to call it Lawyer Jo, that's the problem. To ignore season 1 completely is a huge mistake.

Out of this mess, he keeps doing his best. Still his acting is excellent. I respect him. Hope he will get better dramas or movies in the future.

In the first season, the story matched the title: neighbourhood lawyer Jo Deul Ho. So this is the list: We watched corruption cases in the first season. The case we saw in actual news. People heart it, and Lawyer Jo is everyday's hero. Second, Mr. Jo is a neighborhood lawyer, he is funny, full of empathy to poor people. He was not a detective of dark murder story. This sequel really broke the fans'expectation. There had been many dark murder dramas. Mr. Jo, as in the mind of fans, definitely not for it. Third, a father. This role is gone also in the sequel.

Yona Jan 13 2019 6:08 am Unfortunately, aside from Park Shin Yang, the previous main and supporting cast is not returning :( At most, we only get to see 'Hae Kyung' as a cameo. I hope the new batch is as good as the old batch. The old batch showed excellent acting skills, facial expressions, and chemistry ... down to the nitty-gritty. It was amazing (from the little girl to the adults to the seniors). This time they paired Park Shin Yang with a senior actress Go Hyun Jung, instead of a newbie like Kang So Ra. However, Kang So Ra did not disappoint. She nailed her role really well, like the rest!
