Eriko Ichimura (Nanoka Hara) has an ordinary and unnoticed student life at her high school. Her only joy is to watch popular male student Akira Omi (Nanoka Hara) and imagine them being a couple. She writes down those thoughts on her social media account under the name of Lovesick Ellie. Akira Omi seems like a perfect guy, with good looks and gentle personality. One day, she witnesses Akira Omi spouting vulgar language and she realizes he is kind of like a two-faced person. Making things worse, her fantasy thoughts are discovered by him. He thinks that she is funny and he approaches her.

nyankopoi Aug 13 2025 1:54 pm i read the manga first before watching the movie. when i read the manga, i could imagine that mirei kiritani (or maybe mitsuki takahata) will fits ellie a lot as ive seen lots of her dramas and movies with the same vibe of personality as ellie. and i thought either kento yamazaki or ryusei yokohama would be the best fit for ohmi. but, i put my hope too much on the movie. all actresses are good, all of them are cute and actually nanoka make a good fit for ellie too. but, ohmi? no comment. why my ohmi in the movie isnt as tall as my ohmi in the manga, and no cute nor kakkoii at all. so sorry for the harsh comment btw. this movie might be ok for someone who doesnt watch the manga first. but, tbh, ive watched some shoujo dramas and movies based on mangas and those are bops. this one is flop ngl. i couldnt handle to watch it until the end, decided to close my laptop on the first 4 minutes, the way the actor who played ohmi acts is so cringey. 3/10.

Nina Sep 05 2024 2:58 am I haven’t read the manga, but I really enjoyed the movie, it was funny and entertaining. Hara Nanoka did a great job with the role. Her character could’ve come off as weird, but she made it super cute and funny. And I really appreciate Omi-kun’s character for treating Eri politely and with care, unlike the other main characters who are popular but rude.
