Satoru Mizushima (Kazunari Ninomiya) is a designer, who prefers traditional things like handmade items and handwritten works. One day, he happens to meet a mysterious woman, Miyuki Miharu (Haru), at the cafe named Piano. She seems to have similar values to him and he is attracted to her. Satoru Mizushima asks for her cellphone number, but she doesn’t own a cellphone. They make a promise to meet at the cafe every Thursday. Since then, Satoru Mizushima & Miyuki Miharu meet every Thursday and their relationship develops romantically. Satoru Mizushima decides to propose her, but, on the day he is going to propose her, Miyuki Miharu doesn’t show up at the cafe.

honeylemon Apr 02 2024 10:28 pm This was such a great film to watch! Acting was superb and it felt like I was in their world, smiling, laughing and crying throughout made me really enjoy it. The story was great and the cinematography, directing and filming made the film really really good. Kazunari Ninomiya and Haru's acting was so good as was all the supporting actors and Mizushima's two memorable friends were the light-hearted comedic scene stealers but also his most important pillars. The 2 hours felt like nothing, truly great - I rate a film by how much I cry and this was ?? Great watch, highly recommended if you like slow-paced, life movies and amazing acting. I love the sea too
