Ema (Minami Hamabe) lives at an orphanage with other orphans, including Noman (Rihito Itagaki) and Rei (Kairi Jyo). She enjoys her time there with Isabela (Keiko Kitagawa), who takes care of the orphans like a mother, but Ema and Noman happen to learn the dark secret of the orphanage. The secret is that the orphans are raised to be butchered and sacrificed to a demon. Ema and Noman decide to escape from the orphanage and seek a way out. Rei joins them.

Based on manga series "Yakusoku no Neverland" written by Kaiu Shirai and illustrated by Posuka Demizu (published from August 1, 2016 to June 15, 2020 in manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump).

xavier Oct 27 2022 2:34 pm To scary for young audiences. if under the age of 40 or over the age of 41 do not watch you could go to bed with nightmares or have a heart attack. do not watch very scary fat lady and very scary bunny that dead girl leaves behinds and you dont want the smoke with krone in hide and seek. you might just get found

RekkA Jul 22 2022 10:33 pm Done in anime when it's airing, there's a next movie in the future i believe. The hanger save the movie, but the different in anime, they cut off the rope after they all escape. Ray is the biological mother of Mama and Ray is still alive. Although Minami is old enough to potray Emma but i think there's a reason.

sofutooo Jun 15 2021 10:55 pm i already watched the anime but haven't read the manga yet. personally, i think it's a bit fast-paced than anime because it's a 2 hour movie. also, nevermind about the casts. they already done a great job acting as emma, norman and ray! (also the other children are cute!)

if you ask me, i like the anime better but the live action is also good and worth to watch. overall, it's a good anime ♡
