Robert Jul 01 2024 8:37 pm I love this kdrama. First of all I love the music. I really like that choir music. It is bit spooky at a time but it's very much enhance scene of the drama. I secondly I haven't scene this much of action on a kdrama. Thirdly I almost like all of the characters good & bad ones.

For folks watching from Los Angeles, we are bit behind some of the scenes. Michael Chang, this guy is always smiling it is hard to tell what exactly is behind those smiles. Ironically his assistant Hong Sa-Ra smiles often as well. Like Michael said to her it comes of as smulge.( bit like condescention). I enjoy watching these two peoples on the screen times.

Honestly kang doe Yun genuinely love/like Seu Irae ( proscutor)prosecutor. Of course he never given up finding his father and sister killer. This rather spider web complexity makes drama even more exciting. Irae' s father as bad as he was by going to the hospital & choking to death of kangs father was big mistake. He was no longer behind scence guy. He upgrade to dirty cold killer. Irae is very smart woman but she of course blinded by her love of her father is seeing his involvement of the crime. She is genuinely and vigeriously persuading the killer. She is keep on dismissing her father poping up time to time on the crime scene. It is a matter of time She can no longer dismiss or making excused for her father. Kang's set up of job interview at the law firm was brilliant strategy by setting up a motor cycle accident. He was able to get USB copy of that Park Hee Seo. This was one of the my favorite scene.

Lastly Kang ' s going to that detective home. I love it. Some how he got that phone # to the detective daughter. That was excellent way to get information from the detective ( former dectective)detective.

I love to see this kdrama again from the beginning. I will be happy to buy a book if there is one in English or  Korean. Korean.

lrt Jun 30 2018 9:17 pm ….I thought the ending wrapped it up perfectly. This drama is about revenge not romance. Last scene, once bad always bad. Narcissists always displace the blame.

suissant May 07 2017 2:01 pm Korean dramas doesn't know how to finish a story. The last episode makes you cringe and repent the hours of investment watching the series.

(spoilers) The man who took the hero's sister innocene, killed her, then framed her father for her death causing his death, killed the hero's friend. What happens to this despicable guy? A few years of prison then he's back with his old contacts getting back on the game. The hero doesn't get to stay with his love. Seriously? hours of investment for this retarded ending. Nah. Don't lose your time.

I love her as an actress. Shes great and she acted great in this drama too... But the writers of this drama made me hate her... I felt like she never accepted Kang Do-Won's actions. Even though his actions affected her family, she should have accepted it because her father murdered Do-Won's sister and father. So, Seo Yi-Re, as much as she hated Do-Won's revenge, she should have understood it. Her father literally killed half of his family within a week or two. The man deserved to go to prison. I wish Seo Yi-Re, as much as she loved her father, accepted Do-Won's revenge a little more.

mokona Jul 09 2014 2:08 am Golden Cross is not memorable and I was expecting much more from Gaksital's writer Yoo Hyun Mi. The structure of the whole story is unbalanced. We can see clearly that there is a common point in structure with Midas for example, with a revenge story divided in two distinct periods. However the problem here is that the second big arc only comprises the last 5 episodes, which is way too short to build a tension. Golden Cross also lacks complexity considering its themes. Despite those flaws I liked the cast and the mood of the drama. I didn't know Kim Kang Woo and he did a good job. Lee Si Young is always sweet but she is totally underused. Han Eun Jung is ok but what happened to her face? She's got horrible fillers in her cheeks that make her face look swollen. Plus her make up is a mess, her skin looks reptilian, green and granular. Poor woman. In fact the actors that entertained me the most were the sexy Uhm Ki Joon (even if his role is not big enough), Kim Kyu Cheol as the despicable Park Hee Seo and my favourite here, Jung Bo Suk as the villain. It's funny because this actor can look bad in some scenes and just excellent in others. It was the same in Jung Yi Goddess of Fire. But I really loved him in Golden Cross, he managed to make his character endearing despite being a wicked monster.

khams Jul 05 2014 8:10 pm I am only on episode 5, but it is really annoying me that Prosecutor Yi Re is telling her father about the case. Ughh isn't there a rule saying the defendant's business should be kept private.

Aj Jul 05 2014 6:47 pm I enjoyed the first 15 eps and the leads; but for me the last 5 eps did not fit the rest of the series. I felt writer and director tanked what could have been a great story, romance (that turn is inexplicable), and satisfying outcome. What a shame.

Vk Jun 27 2014 4:14 pm I think this is good that PSH did not cast in this drama as revenge theme after the princess of man would not be a good for his acting growth. Low ratings for final episodes of GC proved that tv chanel made a big mistake not inviting PSH as a lead male. it is necessary to take independent decisions regarding whom to invite however this was not done in case of PSH.

BadWrapUp Jun 26 2014 4:04 pm The ending sucks so bad but the whole drama is good though . I think Irae was useless and what happened to her at the end ? She became a prosecutor back right ? Doyun should get a girl wayyy better than her with all the money he had . But viewer please acknowledge that this is not a romance drama so we can't expect any good ending with the love line between Doyun and Irae

Luna Jun 25 2014 8:38 am This ending reminded me of "Big's" ending. The kind of ending that makes you feel like you wasted you time watching the series to begin with. How do you manage to ruin a whole series in the LAST 30 seconds?!

SPOILERS!!!! So don't read if you haven't watched the final episode. So- not only do Do-Yoon and Yi-re not end up together, but the series ends with her crazy dad getting out of prison after a few years, and he is preparing to build up his evil group of Golden Cross from scratch. What confuses me is that he : 1)Killed 3 people.2) Attempted murder on his best friend, and 3) did the illegal sale of Hanmin bank, but he only gets a few years of jail time?!?!

Regardless, over all the drama was very well done. The main character was smart and kept you on the edge of you seat as he tried to get around Golden Cross's evil plans. I still feel the ending was incomplete regarding our male and female lead. I would have also like to see her father suffer in prison and finally admit to the murder's he committed- which he never did up until the end. I suppose that added to the crazy insanity of his character in a way. But he should have been so overwhelmed with the evidence against him that there should have been no way out. Does this mean there will be a second season? Who knows.

S.Korea is not yet ready for PSH whether it was just an alleged crime that was dropped or even if he is innocent and was wrongly accused, the point is his image has taken a beating from that scandal. In korea where a celeb's image is important, his scandal will not be easily forgiven or forgotten.. I mean even just some slight rudeness to fans that gets caught is bad what more the scandal he was in.. I do feel bad for him, bad it is still too early to be back in the good graces of the limelight in korea. And come on, yes PSH is a great actor but KKW is awesome on his own. Like super awesome... and additionally I think the cast is a very good ensemble with all of them great talents.. and last it is penned by the writer who did Gaksital, so I have high expectation... I find it weird to boycott an entire drama because of casting news, I mean first name casting/dropping usually don't push through anyway... Like in secret garden the first name to get on was Jang Hyuk but in the end it was HyunBin who became the crazy and funny Joowon.. just saying, But to each his own, ...
