Plot

Yoon Hye-jin is a housewife trapped in a bad marriage. Her husband, Ha Dong-won, is a wealthy but unfaithful fund manager. And his latest fling is turning into something more.

Deeply involved with Lee Joon-soo's sweetheart Hong Da-ae, Ha is so busy that he doesn't notice his wife.

Yoon, well aware of her husband's affair, decides to commit suicide. She journeys out to Japan to do the fatal deed, only to fall for a young man - Lee Joon-soo himself.

Park Min Apr 01 2023 8:43 am It had a good set up to work with but unfortunately it went the full fat cliche melo route which dulled it down and took away from its merits. The extreme over-dramatization stripped away what little emotional impact the characters had built up. It took it down a notch even further for how many chunks in the middle parts that were useless. Dong Won had potential to be a better written character but he ended up being a poorly written one. Joon Soo & Sung Goo dynamic were cartoonish and lacked depth, we were only given a glimpse, they could've done a lot more with their 24 episodes in that regard. In fact, I see the whole thing as a big wasted potential.

Ann Nov 26 2021 2:49 pm 100% for the drama skills. Excellent storyline as well. I just didn't like how Lee Jun Soo died. There might be thousands of reasons to die, but finding even 1 reason to live for is enough to endure life, especially of that 1 reason is love ♥️. Well, I guess, I'm just bitter that the character of LDW died ?

Tsai Ong Jul 06 2019 8:23 pm Great acting performance from the lead stars up to the supporting actors, including the honest bestfriend of Da Ae that is Myung Ja. Tears come running down their cheeks with out their eyes blinking. Lee Dong wook can change his mood/facial expression with in a split second. Oh Yeon-su was amazing how she portrayed a decent house wife who had an affair and still look innocent. You can feel Park Si-yeon when she cries in a snap of a finger. And how I 'd love to kick Ha Dong won's ass!

tyronie Oct 10 2018 12:14 pm I've watched this one before and this is the one of the best K-drama of all times.. Best lead actor and actress- Lee Dong Wook and Oh Yun Soo. Briliant acting, romance, love and tragedy. Everything is near perfect except for the sad ending. It would be a great story if only the writers had at least turned it into a happy ending for the lovable couple. Must watch !

Aj Jun 11 2015 3:05 am LDW is hot of course, and there are sizzling scenes with him in this drama. Then there are too many others where boring people just talk and talk, destroying the momentum of the real story. I skipped the talk fests since LDW became the sole reason to watch. He is that.
