Popular actor Rengo Shiraki (Yuto Nakajima) dies suddenly. Due to his sudden death, unpopular actor Daiki Kawata (Masaki Suda) attracts the spotlight due to his close friendship with Rengo. Did Rengo Shiraki commit suicide or was he murdered?

Based on novel "Pinku to Gure" by Shigeaki Kato (published January 28, 2012 by Kadokawa Shoten). "Pinku to Gure" is the first novel published by Shigeaki Kato who is a member of boy band "NEWS" .
Filming begins mid-January, 2015.

Tonya. From. PH Oct 23 2020 9:02 pm this shows how versitile the actors and actresses in this movie, specially Masaki Suda and Yuto. Just wow ? i fell inlove with their characters and them as an actors. This deserves an international award and recognition.

Hyoga Jul 11 2016 6:11 am Oh my god it's so good I can't believe it. I just want to point out that the ending is VERY Different from the book itself, and there are a lot less characters in the movie. It is only about halfway when you realise and finally understand what happened and how the story has been twisted. Both Suda and Yuto are amazing and Kaho also did a really good job at portraiting the (pretty much only) female lead.

I feel so proud for him :) I've followed NEWS since 2009 from when they were 6-nin til they're now 4-nin... This is all the result of his hardwork! My sincerest congratulations to him! Kanpai! :)

yutti Dec 29 2015 12:50 am I envy to you @miyako who already saw this movie. I want to watch this movie too! yuto acting was improved since he act in hanzawa naoki. I just watch the thriller of this movie and look so good! I agree with @jill from this thriller look like yuto act as rengo and suda as daiki. sad if yuto has die in this movie, eventhough he is the lead actor. But i wish this movie will succes in next year and i hope yuto will get drama with this kind genre.

miyako Oct 22 2015 9:42 am Yep, Yutti's my oshimen but setting aside his idol life, he is really a good actor. He has matured and his tendency to overreact in his roles esp when it comes to dramatic scenes lessened. I am a fan of Shige's novel, Pink and Gray. In my opinion, he was able to go head to head with Masaki Suda with the course of acting in this adapatation. Damn, it was really goooood! Although there were some parts that they added and removed from the original novel, I LOVED EVERY SINGLE MORBIDITY OF THE MOVIE. Yuto has well-improved in the acting department.

Also, I was able to attend the BIFF red carpet and screening and Yutti's really one heck of an ikemen - tall, gorgeous, and overtly handsome! His korean was cute hehe Masaki Suda's pink hair caught the attention of majority of the audience in the welcome party and red carpet haha!
